After another change, the restaurant is now run by a very friendly, young proprietor who has the courage to put his heart and soul into this establishment and is lovingly there for his guests. I can only warmly recommend this small, but very warm and lovingly furnished restaurant with a beautiful beer garden and a lovely ambiance in the heart of Traunstein... Since January 1st, 2025, the Hundskugel has a new owner – still young, but incredibly efficient! He seems to know every guest's order by heart and is always friendly and attentive. You immediately feel at home. Beer is from Schnitzelbaumer – at prices you'll hardly find anywhere else. Inside, there's a bar with three or four bar stools, a large regulars' table, and a few individual tables. A real pub atmosphere, just as it should be. The beer garden is one of the nicest in Traunstein, in my opinion. With a lounge area, a pavilion for cooler evenings, and plenty of space for everyone. Very cozy for sitting, chatting, and simply enjoying the end of the day. For food, they offer lighter fare like Vienna sausages, Obatzda (a Bavarian cheese spread), sometimes tiramisu, or spontaneous dishes like currywurst or pasta. Always fresh, never too much – because the owner focuses on quality and minimal waste. I think that's great. The beer garden is one of the nicest in Traunstein, in my opinion. For drinks, there's beer, schnapps, a few cocktails, non-alcoholic options, and coffee. In the evenings, there are often free snacks like chips or pretzels on the tables – a nice touch. What makes the atmosphere so special: It's open, uncomplicated, and it's easy to strike up a conversation. There's darts, card games, dice – and often someone just joins in. You're never alone for long. And every now and then, there are quiz nights or dart tournaments – these are announced via WhatsApp or in the pub. In short: Not a fancy place, but just right for anyone who likes a cozy atmosphere. For drinking, chatting, playing games, or simply enjoying a quiet beer with friends. A place with heart – and with that classic pub vibe, just the way it should be.
