Great restaurant. As always, attentive and prompt service, and food at reasonable prices. I'd happily return. This time, I was full of ribs for the third time.

Even just having an ice cream here is an experience! We will visit again!

Great atmosphere in a beautiful setting. Attentive service by very friendly and good humored staff. We were there for afternoon Kaffee und Kuchen, and our party of seven were more than delighted with our varied choices. The ice cream selection was great.

A very nice atmosphere with very pleasant and friendly service. We went to the grill buffet, and everything was delicious, at least what I could eat. The selection of salads and grilled items (fish, meat, grilled cheese, etc.) was amazing. My absolute favorite was the grilled peach with vanilla ice cream, unbelievably delicious. Thank you for the wonderful evening. Keep up the good work!!! We'll be back.

A lovely little restaurant. The outdoor area also offers a great view of the garden. The service was good and the staff friendly, even though we had to wait 45 minutes for our food. It can happen sometimes :) The menu was pleasantly small and packed with great dishes. The zander and ox cheeks were great, but the breading on the schnitzel could have been a bit crispier. All in all, though, highly recommended. We'd be happy to come back.

Beautiful ambiance, very, very friendly staff, and good food. Despite the castle restaurant being understaffed, we were served quite quickly. (We didn't have a reservation, so please make one!) The restaurant is definitely recommended. 🙂 There's also plenty of cultural activity.

We celebrated our silver wedding anniversary today in the fireplace room. The ambience was simply beautiful, the food was excellent and the service was a dream. Since we came with a list of special requests, I initially thought it would be tiring. But on the contrary, the restaurant manager's answer was: "It's good that you know what you want". All of our small and large wishes were implemented flawlessly by the service and kitchen. Fussy and running around children were taken by the hand and bribed with ice cream, what more could you want? Highly recommended for family celebrations, company celebrations and weddings. A big thank you again and see you golden!!!

I recently ate at a restaurant in Hundisburg and was pleasantly surprised. The ambience is cozy and fits perfectly with the historical atmosphere of the place. The service was friendly, attentive and quick - you really feel welcome as a guest. The food was freshly prepared and tasted to the point. I can particularly recommend the regional dish with game – very aromatic and lovingly prepared. The vegetarian options were also creative and varied. The prices are absolutely fair for the quality that is offered. A real insider tip if you are traveling in the area or are hungry after a trip to the castle complex. I'll definitely be back!

A perfect day in a wonderful place! We were able to celebrate our wedding on September 14th, 2024 in the beautiful Hundisburg Castle, and it was simply unforgettable! The backdrop of the castle and the well-kept baroque garden created a fairytale atmosphere that thrilled our guests and us alike. The service was excellent – ​​attentive, friendly and always professional. The food was also an absolute highlight: from the quality to the presentation to the taste, everything was perfectly balanced. A big thank you to the entire team for making our special day so smooth and beautiful. Hundisburg Castle really is the perfect wedding venue – we couldn’t be happier!

Very good restaurant with friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere.

Tried to get a table there 3 times, 3 times without success. If you didn't do anything spontaneously, you were even sent away very rudely. Then tried reserving a table two days in advance. Either supposedly full or closed event. Just annoying. You just get the feeling that you don't need it. Extremely unfortunate and definitely not service oriented. But since it seems to be always full and you never get a table, the kitchen must be particularly good and so you seem to need new customers! Maybe I'll ask for a date in 2038.

My family has been loyal visitors to the castle restaurant for years. Whether it's a normal dinner, lunch on the terrace with a view of the castle gardens, birthday parties or events like the American evening. We have all always been very happy with everything there. Now I was finally able to have my dream wedding take place there. And thanks to the great support of the entire team, my dream came true. The service was great. The food was great and the location was great. Even before the big day, we were taken by the hand and every one of our wishes was put into practice. We got great tips and everything was always perfect. After the wedding (which was at lunchtime), we had some wonderful snacks, we spontaneously cut the wedding cake in the afternoon and there was a buffet in the evening. This was an absolute blast. And currywurst and fries at midnight. Everything was super delicious! The team was always there and helpful. THANK YOU SO MUCH for all these years and especially for this wonderful day! We got married in August at Hundisburg Castle. The catering and seating for the hall and the free wedding ceremony came from the castle restaurant. We are 100% satisfied! It was an absolute dream wedding! The food was very tasty. The service was absolutely courteous and very friendly. Also the communication in The apron was super nice. First, the day-to-day business. The restaurant is recommended and worth a visit at any time. The menu is often seasonally adjusted and offers excellently prepared dishes. Whether in good weather with a view of the castle garden or in bad weather in the beautiful interior, the restaurant offers an excellent ambience for any dining occasion. We also celebrated our wedding this year with the castle restaurant. During the planning phase before the celebration, the restaurant was there to help and advise us. They took their time and developed a plan for food and drink with us. Communication was always very open and if there were any requests on our part, they were always addressed and you could talk about it/make changes at any time, for example adapting the planned meal . On the wedding day, everything was perfect. There really isn't much to say about it, as the service was outstanding and the food also received a lot of praise from the guests. The price for the whole event and everything surrounding it was also very fair.

We were there in July for my mom's birthday and it was very nice. The ambience, the service and the food were really great. Then we tried the grill buffet in August, just great. Now we're back in September and we're looking forward to it.

We celebrated our wedding in July at Hundisburg Castle and chose the castle restaurant as our caterer. We have eaten there several times before and have always been absolutely satisfied. The food is not only very tasty, but also high quality. The staff are extremely friendly and respond to comments and requests. Particularly noteworthy is the regularly changing menu, which also includes vegetarian and, if requested, vegan dishes. The price is high according to the high standard. We were also completely satisfied with our wedding. We were offered a per capita flat rate early on, which did not change until the day of the celebration. For the celebration in the hall and the wedding ceremony outdoors, all of the seating and equipment was completely taken care of by the team. Every one of our questions was answered in advance and every request was taken into account. On the day of the celebration, the restaurant manager was personally present and found a solution to every concern quickly and easily. The restaurant did not have a quick turnaround and the restaurant manager in particular impressed with his calm and competent manner. The food and drinks were excellent and all guests were very satisfied. We can only recommend the castle restaurant in every respect!

We arrived from Berlin today because we had only heard good things. The park is very beautiful and well-kept, the restaurant was great... the service gave us a very friendly welcome and our 🐕 was immediately offered water, we were given a nice table and the food we ordered (asparagus from the neighboring region, schnitzel , potatoes with buttered crumbs and Hollandais sauce) was absolutely delicious and more than appropriate for the price. We would definitely like to come back 👍

My parents invited me to my silver wedding anniversary today. The request for a white tablecloth (my mom is really into that) was accommodated. When the weather was great we were able to sit outside. Sandra welcomed us in a very relaxed and incredibly polite manner. The service, of course including the kitchen, with all of our extra requests (and there were quite a few) was excellent. Kudos to the kitchen! The food was super delicious! Personally, I haven't experienced such a courteous team in a restaurant for a long time. I can't understand all the negative comments. Reflecting on yourself every now and then helps.

There were three of us there today and, since the only other guests were paying, we were all alone. Nevertheless, we were directed to the cat table, the third person looked at the very nice wallpaper, but couldn't enjoy the really nice ambience. First we were supposed to choose our cake by reading out the varieties, but we insisted on being allowed to look at the cake in the display case, which we were then granted. The coffee and cake were very good. Nevertheless, I can't imagine visiting the castle again soon with this poor service. We had a guest from France with us and it was all very, very embarrassing.

According to Google, the restaurant is open. You arrive after a long drive and are told that it is only open to invited guests. Which would be okay, of course it would also be nice to have a reference to Google. After politely asking if you can use the toilet briefly, you are refused. It's never happened to me in my life!! Unfortunately I can only advise against this restaurant. I can't rate the food because we didn't get anything.

We were visiting the castle and gardens when we heard the call of nature. While looking for the toilets for the visitors, we found a sign that pointed to the restaurant on the one hand and to an unsigned location somewhere in the castle courtyard on the other. The restaurant was actually closed and the employees were busy preparing for an evening party. In addition, the sign that identified the restaurant as a toilet was new to them. Nevertheless, they showed mercy. They deserve five stars for that.

We had dinner there recently. The service was very courteous and friendly. The price-performance ratio was okay. According to our taste, the food is good, but overall a bit too expensive; it feels like you also pay for the ambience.

No vegetarian dishes at the gourmet buffet, instead only side dishes (vegetables) and a bit of salad. Coffee tasted quite bitter. Good desserts. Acoustics a bit unpleasant - the clatter of dishes and cutlery is amplified. Service is good. Nice ambience inside and out.

Update 02/01/24 The main courses now include a vegan dish, which is great. We're basically already on our way... 😉 +++++++ The atmosphere is unique, the service is really friendly and the food is always delicious. BUT. The choice of food is simply no longer up to date. Meat, meat, meat for the main courses. For vegetarians there is a pasta dish, sometimes a second one. Vegans go away empty-handed. And you don't want to ask during the visit whether something special can be done in the kitchen. This should be taken into consideration from the start when creating the menu. We would love to eat here again with the whole family, but as long as the menu remains so meat-heavy, it's unfortunately not right for us.

Highly recommended, gourmet buffet. Feast your way through all the menus. Very tasty food. Very friendly service. Drinks have to be paid extra. Followed by a walk in the baroque garden.

We went to the castle restaurant for the New Year's brunch for the first time today and we were thrilled. It was consistent from the start. The only drawback was that we sat in the entrance area and as soon as the door was opened, it got cold very quickly and unfortunately the warm buffet was only warm, but the taste was first class. Gladly again!

Unfassbar nette Bedienungen, schneller und zuvorkommender Service, tolle Menüauswahl (Saison angepasst) zu absolut fairen Preisen. Die Athmosphäre im Schlossrestaurant ist sehr stilvoll und wirkt einladend. Wir empfehlen dieses Restaurant wirklich sehr gerne weiter und freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch.

Rollstuhlrampe ist vorhanden, Reichlich Parkmöglichkeiten auf dem Schlosshof. Saisonale Speisekarte (Kindergerichte haben wir mündlich erfragt), preislich nicht ganz günstig. Speisen sind jedoch einfallsreich, schön angerichtet und das Wichtigste: Es schmeckt! Last but not least: Ein Hoch auf den Himbeer-Hugo!

Jetzt zum Schnitzel mit Pfifferlingen und Bratkartoffeln. Das ist High End wie man auf Deutsch sagt. Da muss Gott kochen. Das Schnitzel so knusprig und das Fleisch auf dem Punkt saftig,die Pfifferlinge mit der Soße super abgeschmeckt und Bratkartoffeln waren Goldbraun mit Röstaromen. Ich krieg mich nicht mehr ein,was willste mehr???

Wir sind lange nicht im Schloss Hundisburg gewesen und sind deshalb um so begeisterter über das Schlosscafe. Wir haben uns besonders über das sehr freundliche, aufmerksame und kompetente Serviceteam gefreut. Die Eisbecher waren alle sehr lecker. Vielen Dank für diesen schönen Sonntagnachmittag.

Wir sind im Schlosspark unangemeldet mit einer 16-köpfigen Radgruppe „eingefallen“ und obwohl das Personal ganz offensichtlich mit einer großen Hochzeitsgesellschaft zu tun hatte, bekamen wir spontan und ungefragt ein großes Tablett mit einem frischem Radler für jeden. Das nenne ich mal aufmerksam ! Besten Dank für diese Überraschung und die willkommene Erfrischung !
