Had knuckle of pork and goulash, both were very tasty (the knuckle was enough for the next day 😅) Unfortunately the sauce was only lukewarm and the bread dumpling dressed with vinegar(?) wasn't really my thing but that's a matter of taste

We're thrilled when someone in Hagen says, "I'd love to go to Bavaria and try the culinary delights of Bavarian cuisine." They don't have to travel far. Visit the Humbert restaurant on Höing; you won't find traditional and, above all, good food any faster. Some people find the prices expensive, but let us tell you, for the taste experience and these portions, the price is absolutely acceptable. This will be our hometown restaurant; that much is clear after our first visit. Dear Humbert team, you're doing a great job! Every guest is welcome here, from the youngest to the oldest. We haven't had such warm service in a long time; we immediately felt at home.

Mr. Jung, the owner, is an aloof person. He insults customers behind their backs. He treats the employees like dirt, rudely, and disrespectfully. The food preparation is unappetizing.

The food was always good, and the selection is pleasantly limited. The emphasis here is more on quality than quantity. The portions themselves are, of course, sufficiently large. No one will leave hungry. I haven't had better food in Bavaria. The prices are reasonable. The service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere, at least in the area in front of the counter, is very cozy. It's nice to have such a nice Bavarian restaurant nearby. We always enjoy coming back, and I highly recommend the restaurant.

We were there today by chance. I ordered the beer goulash with fries. It ended up being served with sauerkraut. That was my highlight, even though the food was already really, really good.

I've known this pub since I was a child; my parents always went bowling there! Now I've rediscovered the pub/restaurant for myself; it's very cozy and the food is great!

Nice service, she was really attentive and constantly asked if everything was okay. The quality of the food was more like that of a chip shop. The schnitzel was swimming in grease, the fried potatoes were also more greasy than crispy, and we've never eaten such a bad side salad. There was no taste or sight of the yogurt dressing. It's a shame about the ingredients. In the end, we didn't even get a bill. They took the money, but there was no bill. No overview of what was actually being charged. Too bad.

We reserved a table for 7 people at 7:00 PM for the suckling pig barbecue day (€22.90). Three people wanted to order à la carte. We arrived and saw the last carcass of the suckling pig, as mentioned—barbecue day from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. When we asked, the succinct reply was that they had been open for lunch since 12:00 PM. Okay, so we sat down and waited about 30 minutes just for the drinks. A menu wasn't provided because, according to the statement "the kitchen is closed today," ordering was impossible. However, this wasn't communicated anywhere. We had to wait a very long time for new drink orders, despite a total of 12 guests. We were extremely disappointed with the food and felt the price of €22.90 was completely unjustified. Two of the four of us (three of whom didn't get anything to eat) had their meat cut off the bone, which was a bit of a misnomer. At least one of us enjoyed the chicken. I didn't want to heed a warning, so I've now had my own negative experience. Unfortunately, I won't be back!

We visited Humpert am Höing and felt completely at home. The inn has a pleasant, down-to-earth atmosphere – ideal for a relaxed evening. The menu is varied and offers traditional dishes with regional influences. We particularly enjoyed the Wiener Schnitzel – nice and crispy, tender, and delicious. The service was friendly, attentive, and pleasantly unobtrusive. A lovely place for good food in pleasant surroundings. We would be happy to return.

Seven of us adults had pre-booked. The advertisement promised "all you can eat" until 10 p.m.; they also offered suckling pig. When we arrived at 7 p.m., the suckling pig was almost gone! After we sat down, it took a good 20 minutes before anyone asked us for drinks; then it took another 15 minutes for the drinks to be served. This meant that the suckling pig was about 90% gone! To get more drinks, WE had to ask the staff! An "Aperol Spritz" was served in a beer glass! On the way to the restroom, I saw four waitresses standing at the counter, chatting, and the manager sitting outside at the table smoking and drinking while we waited for drinks. I was so disappointed that I predicted that this place wouldn't last another year! What a shame... Unfortunately, this wasn't the first time I've been disappointed by this place. But it was the last time.

We were there for a barbecue, and unfortunately, it was a bitter disappointment. We were quickly seated, and drinks were served quickly. But that was about all the good stuff. We waited forever for the barbecue; apparently, there was a parallel event going on inside. Within an hour, we only had enough for one sausage and a small piece of suckling pig. Chicken was out. The waiter said everyone had run to the buffet at the same time, so there was nothing left. That was the only reaction. Then the charcoal was completely burned through and had to be refilled. The price of over €20 per person for the buffet was completely excessive, and then there were the drinks. The entire planning for that evening was very, very poor. Maybe we'll try the a la carte menu. They won't be seeing us again for the barbecue. Other guests agreed with our criticism. Apparently, though, the waiters weren't interested.

The theme day, with its filling meal of suckling pig, grilled sausages, poultry, vegetables, and salads, was unfortunately not satisfactory. After 6 p.m., only half-raw, almost cold suckling pig in wafer-thin slices was served. The other meats were only grilled upon request and were mostly not available for the buffet. These were then only served half-cooked. The salad and vegetable buffet was more than meager... The wait for drinks was a bit long... Unfortunately, the evening was not enjoyable for me and my wife, including the guests sitting around us, due to the food on offer.

Simply a delight! I'd be happy to come back anytime. 👍

A lovely restaurant with Bavarian delicacies at very fair prices. A good and extensive selection and very generous portions. The pork knuckle is truly enormous and highly recommended. There's a lovely garden area with regular seating and an area with a beer garden atmosphere. We'd be happy to return!

All Bavarian rustic dishes from the kitchen, prepared by a very experienced and authentic chef, are recommended. Conclusion: always good and sociable.

Haus Humpert is a charming, small restaurant that impresses with its cozy atmosphere and beautifully designed outdoor area, which shines in atmospheric light, especially in the evenings. We were warmly welcomed while bowling and immediately felt at home. Afterwards we were able to enjoy a really delicious meal. The menu offers a great selection - vegetarians and vegans will also get their money's worth here. All dishes were not only extremely tasty, but also generous in size. The dessert selection also leaves nothing to be desired. We would particularly like to highlight the exceptionally friendly and attentive service, which perfectly rounded off our visit. Our evening at Haus Humpert was a complete success and we would love to come back!

I find it interesting how different the judgments are here. I can only report on our visit and we (7 people) were completely satisfied and had a very nice evening. The wait staff was very friendly, chatty and humorous! The food was absolutely fine and my knuckle wasn't for the small appetite, but rather reduced every previous diet to absurdity - that's how it should be :-p

So, for anyone who is too lazy to prepare their frozen meals at home and would like to spend a lot of money on it, Humpert is the right place for you! It is very cold there and you should definitely dress as wintery as possible when visiting. Every restaurateur who wants to become self-employed should spend a few hours at Humpert am Höing...to learn how things shouldn't work under any circumstances. I can't imagine that you can even begin to achieve economic success with such a concept! Personally, I would only go there again to eat leftover bankruptcy! Maybe the kitchen and especially the management staff (if you can call it that) should completely reorient themselves professionally!!!! Kind regards from Dortmund!!!!

We were very happy. Had reservations for 70 men. Suddenly we were in another room and also had to vacate certain tables after an hour. Two reserved bowling alleys became one. Unfortunately very disappointing. The food was basically okay, but unfortunately everything wasn't really warm anymore. This may also be due to the size of the group. We went to the restaurant for lunch. The service was quite friendly, but that's about the only positive thing. I ordered “Sauerbraten with bread dumplings and red cabbage”. The food came relatively quickly with 4 slices of sauerbraten, a bread dumpling, sauce and red cabbage. I was only able to cut the bread dumpling on the top because underneath it was still completely icy and hadn't thawed. I called the waitress, who promised me a new dumpling. Unfortunately, she didn't take the pieces of meat, the sauce and the red cabbage, i.e. the entire plate, into the kitchen to make improvements. After a while she came with a new bread dumpling that initially seemed okay. The rest of the food had now become cold. She apologized a bit about the mishap, but that was it. Unfortunately, this second bread dumpling wasn't completely thawed either, which I told the waitress when I was clearing it away. Again, “Excuse me,” nothing else. Neither the offer of a discount nor a small gift of compensation, such as a coffee or something similar. The full price was charged and I paid it because I wasn't willing to cause any trouble. Sunday lunch was too good for me for that. Just want to note that my wife's "giant curry sausage" wasn't a bratwurst, but a bockwurst with fries and an extra bowl of ketchup. Snack bar can do better. Truly a bad experience and a shame.

Never again! Neither the ambience - the heating was only "replaced" by fan heaters - nor the occasional service due to the small number of staff were pleasant. But the food was bad! Out of 11 dishes, one dish was okay. Offering such pressed meat schnitzels as schnitzels in restaurants is simply incredible. Such poor quality. And to bring a diabetic a regular Diet Coke instead of the one she ordered... without words.

It started when we wanted to go bowling and no one wanted to explain anything to us (one of the neighboring groups kindly did so). Then I ordered a Cola Zero (I'm a diabetic) and got a normal Cola (it seemed strange to me that all the Cola was in a pile and she just handed it out and I thought it tasted different). I stopped after three sips and my sugar shot through the roof, but I still had to pay for the coke. Then, because we were 11, we had already ordered the food in advance so that it would be quicker. The food came after 2 hours. Nobody could give any information as to when it would come. As a diabetic, I have to maintain a distance between eating and injecting. I had pre-ordered a breaded schnitzel and unfortunately had not specified any side dish. The schnitzel came breaded and with fries. I sent it back and asked for salad (reference to diabetes) and was told that this can no longer be changed. The “schnitzel” came and was chicken breast. Which in itself wouldn't have been bad if it hadn't been raw. Asked again for a change. The raw breast was removed and a mini piece remained on the plate plus the cut piece of raw meat. Conclusion: 17.90 euros for an egg-sized piece of chicken breast. Fries remained on the plate. Another person waited almost 2.30 hours for their food because they simply forgot it. It was asked 3 times with the conclusion that the food was on the bill 3 times and in the end it tasted so disgusting that the person didn't eat it. Everyone else didn't find their food very tasty either. Despite requests, the service hardly came to take drinks. Some of them weren't brought, but they were on the bill. We put the food plates aside ourselves and they were only cleared away after over an hour. When we told the boss our criticism while paying, he became very unfriendly. Conclusion: We'll definitely look for another restaurant next time. We're all very nice women who understand a lot of things, but if the restaurant, the bowling alley and the hall are full, you'll definitely need more staff to be able to handle it. This is how much professionalism you should have as a shop owner.

We wanted to spend a nice evening with a group. We had pre-ordered the food by email. After we waited 2 hours for the food, pressed meat schnitzels arrived unseasoned with a handful of fries, far too expensive for that. Side salad with the wrong dressing, garden salad was supposed to be different salads from the season with corn and coleslaw, only iceberg lettuce came with a little tomato and coleslaw, which was also far too expensive. Our diabetic was brought a normal Coke instead of a Coke Zero and no food came at all and after we told her for the third time and it was finally served, this dish ended up being on the bill three times. When we told the junior manager at the end that the schnitzels tasted better in the snack bar, we were told that we should go there. The three stars are only for the nice waitress.

Friendly service, average food, ambience has nothing in common with a Bavarian tavern despite Bavarian music. The biggest point of criticism, however, is that the relatively large guest room is not heated in the middle of winter. All heaters were cold. That's a real drawback, it doesn't really feel comfortable. Furthermore, I consider such an approach to be impossible. There is also no indication that you have to eat in an unheated room. Cold feet and a cold nose ultimately mean that I will not visit this restaurant again and will not recommend it under any circumstances.

Extremely expensive for too little performance. The schnitzel isn't done, you have to look for the fries. The salad was way too expensive for a little cucumber. So if you want to spend a lot of money for little and mediocre taste, this is the place for you. However, the service is very friendly and helpful. But you can really forget to eat.

Yesterday we went bowling with 3 children and 4 adults. Food service was great - only we were sitting in a cold room. The heating was off - only a small fan heater was on. They brought us a second one (the fuse then blew twice out) with which they explained to us that they couldn't leave this fan heater on. We sat there with jackets. Despite having booked in advance, it really wasn't nice... But everything else was great. We're coming too again.

I can only recommend everyone to take a look here. The outdoor dining area is so wonderful - combined with the delicious food, it makes it a wonderful experience

I had the pleasure of eating at this Bavarian restaurant and I have to say: the food was outstanding! The traditional dishes were prepared with great attention to detail and tasted authentic. The ingredients were fresh and the portions were more than sufficient. The service was friendly, attentive and authentically Bavarian. The atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy, with typical Bavarian furnishings that gave off a homely and relaxed vibe. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Bavarian cuisine - whether meat lover or vegetarian. Tradition is very important here – and you can taste it!

I haven't eaten so badly in a long time. The pork knuckle was inedible. Too hard and too dry. It's a shame to give something like that out to guests. Even the free dessert couldn't make up for that. If the service had come more often, many more drinks could have been ordered.

Fried potatoes soggy, cold and tasteless like they came from a ready-made bag from the market! Schnitzel, whether chicken or pork, both watery and not well done! Sauce with mushrooms was like it came from a convenience package and didn't taste good! Goose breast as described on the special menu was dry and tough and didn't taste good at all. Not recommended, won't eat there again!

Dined there for the last time today. Last time 3 out of 5 black Glass plates with corners and broken pieces of glass. Today I was insulted by the waiter and, to top it off, a 15 cm to 20 cm long dark hair on my son's schnitzel. When I asked the boss about it, she just said that none of them had black hair. In addition, all the schnitzels looked the same today and the breading was not from the house. Reminded me of schnitzel from the snack bar [frozen pressed meat]. I'm not angry with my money.

Were there as a group. Let's put it this way, the staff was nice and friendly. The food was nothing. Ready meal such as schnitzel from the package on the plate, at least that's how it tasted. Children wanted mayonnaise with the fries and mayo came when the food was almost eaten and cold. So, there is still a lot of room for improvement. Maybe we'll try there again or eat somewhere else before bowling.

Unfortunately, I can't give this restaurant a single star because it was closed at the specified opening time and we stood in front of a locked door with the birthday child and other guests. Music could be heard outside, no knocks were heard, be it at the main entrance or side entrance. Several phone calls were also unsuccessful. We cannot recommend this restaurant.

When making the reservation, we asked for a place in a place that was as quiet as possible. Unfortunately, we were seated right next to a larger group of men. This group grew louder with each beer. You really couldn't have a conversation. It was so loud that sometimes you even forgot what you wanted to say while you were talking. At times it was impossible to cope with this volume. The (presumably) junior boss then gave this group a set of tricks. We weren't the only guests shaking our heads. When the roar rang in our ears, the group of men hit the table and stomped their legs on the floor so that the whole hut shook, we called the (presumably) junior boss over. We asked him if he hadn't read the reservation because we wanted a quieter place asked and we cannot hear our own words here. The annoyed/stroppy answer came promptly that it was even louder over there. (lie) We asked if it was really necessary to give this group a trick set? He replied annoyed, what should I do? Forbid my guests from having fun? He shook his head and stomped off like an offended child without any further words (without an apology). Unprofessional! As you left you could see that the other area wasn't any louder and there were several empty tables. The statement that it would be even louder over there is incomprehensible. lied to, treated cheekily, not excused, just turn your back, while also shaking his head. We found that disrespectful/insulting. This cannot be viewed positively. I didn't like the food either. I won't eat there again.

Das Personal war freundlich, hätte aber etwas aufmerksamer sein können. Das Essen war sehr schlecht. Mein Hähnchenschnitzel war innen noch roh, sollte mit Meerrettich sein, davon war nichts zu schmecken. Kein Salat dazu und auch sonst lieblos angerichtet. Ebenso schlecht war die Schweinshaxe. Weder knusprig noch zart.Es wurde zwar sofort nachgebessert, aber besser wurde es leider nicht!Völlig überteuert! Nie wieder!

When we were there two years ago, a lot of things weren't right. However, the most recent visit was very different. New concept, new menu. Totally cozy atmosphere. Courteous service and very nice staff. Very good menu. The food was very tasty and was prepared and served quickly. There are a small number of parking spaces directly next to the house. There are parking spaces available everywhere in the surrounding area. New on November 13th: Despite an automated reminder of the reservation, the restaurant was unfortunately closed. The reason is sad and we were able to find another restaurant at short notice. However, we asked ourselves, if you send a reminder via email, why not a rejection? We'll still be back!

Nice welcome, unfortunately the Kaiser Schmarrn wasn't really warm, the chicken was a bit dry, the schnitzel was ok and the kale was delicious. The potato pancakes that I got a few days later had room for improvement in taste, and the applesauce was delicious. Parking lot directly at the house, unfortunately there were no dry towels at the toilet. The dessert was ok.

The snack board didn't blow me away. In my opinion, the Mettwurst was from a vacuum package. The little Vienna sausages and the cheese slices weren't anything earth-shattering either. All in all, it seemed to me that all the items came from the supplier.

Last Saturday I was at the Humpert Inn with my daughter. We received a very friendly welcome and we really liked the atmosphere after the renovation. We both chose a kale plate with Mettwurst, priced at €16.90. When we got our plates, we were surprised at how small the portions were. We are not "eaters" but rather average eaters, but unfortunately my daughter and I both didn't get full. The kale plate was great in terms of quality and taste, there was nothing to complain about. But we have already noticed on previous visits that the prices are generally going up, while the portions are getting smaller everywhere. In just under 2 weeks I'll be eating there again with a group, let's see whether my impression of the visit was rather subjective.

The space had something “natural”, “Bavarian”, only the placement of our table was a bit unfortunate, so in the middle of the “hall” that the other guests in this room and of course the waitress always walked past us and so on It felt like there was constant movement going on around us. But this is also a certain level of complaining at a high level. Conclusion: We will definitely come here more often.

I was there on Friday with my boyfriend and we felt very comfortable. The staff was super accommodating and always approachable. And even though it was very busy, we only had a short wait for the food to arrive. The whole atmosphere in the team seemed friendly and warm. We'll definitely come back!
