Hummels Viehweid Straußi in Ettenheim

The Hummels Straußi team deserves full marks and a special commendation. The food was excellent, the service super friendly, fast, and courteous. The atmosphere was, as expected, incredibly cozy. A definite recommendation. Reservations for inside are advisable.

We have been to the cattle pasture several times and are completely satisfied every time. The staff in particular are always very friendly and accommodating. Even if the meal takes a long time (which is understandable given how busy it is) it's worth every minute of waiting! The atmosphere is very nice and inviting, the beer garden is really cozy with the trees The price-performance ratio is top. We would be happy to come back at any time. At the end of a narrow path that winds between meadows, you arrive at this rustic and warm restaurant. Delicious, picturesque dishes from the region, large tables, a beautiful terrace. Be careful, don't serve beer!

Delicious food in an idyllic atmosphere

Great rustic ostriches, clearly remote from the town but definitely worth the journey. The atmosphere outside is particularly beautiful. Very friendly service, great small selection of dishes and a good selection of wine. The schnitzel and Weisburgunder are particularly delicious.

Prices have risen drastically. Juice spritzer 0.5 costs 5.60 euros. Schnitzel with brägele 15.50 euros. It's no longer a strausenwirtschaft level... The taste was good, but just normal home cooking. Extra cutlery - 1 euro, extra plates - 1 euro... Outrage

Very good restaurant! It's been a long time since I've enjoyed so much in a restaurant, the portions of the dishes are great, well loaded and everything is homemade! The products are of very good quality! The price is really inexpensive for the quantity and quality. It’s rare that I leave a tip in a restaurant but I didn’t hesitate at all! Very friendly staff, they take the time to explain to you.

The entire staff is very friendly and accommodating, even if it is certainly very stressful for the staff because all the seats are occupied, which doesn't surprise me since it is always cozy and often accompanied by musical performances. The food is very good, and good portions too. For me there is nothing to complain about. Me and my daughters always enjoy going there.

Sehr schöne Gaststätte in ruhiger Lage, mit umso besserem Essen! Die Schnitzel mit Brägele (Bratkartoffeln) und Bratensoße sind sehr zu empfehlen. Die Portionen sind voll umfänglich und dürften selbst den hungrigsten Dominik satt bekommen. Junges engagiertes Personal, welches stets kompetent und freundlich ist.

Tolle Straußi klasse Leberli mit Brägeli trotzdem das voll war hatten wir ruck Zuck unser Essen. Klasse war auch das Personal so muss das sein komme sicher wieder mal vorbei 👍

Schöner Außenbereich mit großen Bäumen. Essen brauchte unangenehm lange nach der Bestellung. Die Leberle waren super lecker, die Kartoffeln waren mit Kurkuma gefärbt! Auf dem Elsässer Flammkuchen waren meine Zwiebeln!?

Riesige Portionen. Viele Gäste. Essen trotzdem schnell am Tisch. Geschmacklich mittelmäßig.

Wir waren dort am 03.10 also am Feiertag,war sehr gut besucht,das Essen ist sehr fein, bis auf ein nächstes Mal2024, sie machen diesen Monat zu.Gibt auch fleischlose Gerichte.

Ein wunderbarer Ort mit leckeren Gerichten und tollem Service. Wir hatten Strausli empfohlen bekommen, und sind abends vorbeigekommen. Die Wirtschaft liegt ruhig gelegen, am Ende einer kleinen Straße in den Weinbergen. Der Außenbereich ist schön gemacht, mit kleinen Glühlampen. Im Innenbereich ist gute Stimmung und ein tolles Ambiente. Alles was auf den Tisch kam hat sehr leckerer geschmeckt. Das Schnitzel und vor allem die Bratensoße waren sensationell, die Flammkuchen (sowohl klassisch als auch vegetarisch) waren super, und auch der Wurstsalat, sehr sehr lecker. Dazu hatten wir einen "Neuen Süßen", der uns den Abend sprichwörtlich versüßt hat. Zu guter Letzt, die Preise, unglaublich. Super fair, und für die Qualität der Speisen fast schon zu fair. Ich möchte nochmal betonen, dass der Service und die Gastfreundschaft wirklich ausgesprochen gut war. Insgesamt ein toller Abend! Sensationell!!!

Immer wieder eine tolle Einkehr mit mega Essen. Wir hatten saure Leberle, Speck Kuchen, Pute mit frischen Champions und natürlich den Straussiteller... Alles sehr lecker. Unser Besuch aus dem Ruhrpott war begeistert 🤗

Delicious food! I had the schnitzel with potatoes (very big portion)and it was a good German schnitzel 👍 the waitress recommended a lovely local white wine for me and I loved it! There is also a small play area for kids to entertain themselves and the drive to this location came with a great view of a winery grapes field! The service was fast but that's about all, but I still loved my experience here.

Was für ein wundervolles Plätzchen Natur und mittendrin eine alte ausgebaute Scheune als Strauße. Mehr Ambiente geht nicht. Draußen eine große Freiterrasse mit viel Platz zum sitzen. Drinnen heimelige Stimmung durch das viele Holz. Super Service alle sehr freundlich. Das Essen, in unserem Fall Flammkuchen, Wurstsalat mit Brägele und Salat waren hervorragend. Man kann frisches Bauernbrot mitnehmen und auch das schmeckt super. Einfach eine tolle Location und sehr zu empfehlen!

Beste Strauße die ich kenne. Schöne Lage, gemütliches Ambiente. Essen ausgezeichnet und üppig zu angemessenen Preisen. Wirtsleute und Personal immer freundlich, schnell und zuvorkommend, auch wenn´s mal hektisch wird.

Nette Bedienung, gutes Essen, Hunde müssen leider mittlerweile draußen bleiben. Bei gutem Wetter ist es draußen aber fast schon schöner

Wir waren mit 30 Personen dort und die Bedienung funktionierte Schlag auf Schlag. Das Essen und die Getränke (es gibt kein Bier!) sind preiswert und sehr gut. Meine einddeutige Empfehlung: Weiter so............
