Really great restaurant, very nice and courteous service staff and the food was very, very tasty. Also the cocktails. Great ambience, great location and we had a candlelight dinner in the French cathedral afterwards, perfect place to get there. Just 1 minute away. Phenomenal. Absolutely recommended.

Staff was not that good at wine knowledge nor serving. Food was good but nothing special.

The food is excellent, but the service is, unfortunately, absolutely unacceptable! My mother-in-law reserved a table for 11 people weeks ago to celebrate her 70th birthday with us. When we arrived, we were seated at separate tables and told that it wasn't possible to put the tables together. After the birthday girl was close to tears after a long discussion, the waitress finally had a change of heart and began to somehow put the individual tables together... Unfortunately, friendliness and a sense of service were lacking throughout our entire stay. We also observed other guests sitting outside who were simply ignored. It's a shame, because the ambiance in the restaurant is otherwise appealing and the food was truly of excellent quality.

We had a lovely visit. We were a little surprised that it was so empty. It's definitely not the food. The food completely convinced us. The portions were enough for us. The waitress seemed quite inexperienced to us, but was friendly. It smelled a bit unusual and the restaurant should check it as others seemed to notice it as well. Overall we were happy with the visit.

A great restaurant with a really nice ambience – perfect for a cozy evening! I particularly recommend the braised ox cheeks, which were tender, juicy and full of flavour. My partner's dish, the “Coq au Vin Rouge” with black-feathered chicken, was unfortunately a bit disappointing. He had hoped for more taste for the price. There is also a minus point for the portion size, which was a bit too small.

Not really recommended for a cozy evening with friends. It is very loud and unfortunately pleasant conversation is not possible.

Food was ok, the bacon and onion tart was over salted, but the main thing to note is the very limited menu - for lunch I was expecting a lot more, there are only a few options. Nice location and old building. Service is efficient but I wouldn’t say friendly.

The fish tastes fresh. However, the restaurant has a faint smell of disinfectant.

There were 6 of us and we ordered the best of goose (goose leg) 4 times and the beef fillet twice. The goose legs were not fully cooked and the meat was very difficult to remove. The beef fillets were almost raw instead of medium rare. When we complained, the waitress said, yes, the chef wasn't sure whether the food was good...we had everything returned. The goose legs were then good. The beef fillets were then burned on one side and turned into shoe soles... honestly, that was the first and last time, just outrageous at these prices!

No more than average, there is no justification for the prices.

The restaurant is located at the basement of French Cathedral. We went for a weekend lunch and it was easy to grab a table for two without reservation. For food we tried : Onion soup : did not like it Duroc pork with vegetables and Duck with red cabbage and potato dumplings : We liked both the main courses Creme brulee : portion size was a joke for the price. I never has a smaller bowl of creme brulee here in europe , specially when priced like a full sized dessert. I wanted my main dish without alcohol , to which only salmon and vegetarian dishes were available, so definitely the menu lacks variation and all the meat dishes from Coq au vin to duroc pock , beef fillet and the duck were served with the same brown sauce cooked with the wine. And definitely not customizable. The service was very attentive , we were served complimenatary bread with a dip with the drinks, but took more than 40 minutes to serve the food. Also there was a billing mistake later. However the staff was nice and friendly and quickly corrected it.

Nice French restaurant, with really good food at a low price. Two people, main course with glass of wine, bottle of water, 2 espressos and 2 desserts 91 euros. Bargain for Berlin. Location a bit difficult to find. We were only in the other cathedral. Spoiler, it's not there. The best thing about the entire restaurant is the apple crumble. Incredibly good. That's the only reason I'm going there.

We took the beef filet and it was very well cooked. Carefully though if you don't like anis, seems they have put some in the pepper sauce, which was not specified on the menu

Food was very good (as an information for the people who order the salmon, it is not very well done, but that is precisely why it is very juicy) The ambience is also good, we only felt unwelcome when we were greeted, but it got better at the end.

Nicely done in the French cathedral. Food average for the price. Portions rather small. Service is partly very good. Some were extremely disinterested and didn't say thank you when paying, despite the tip. And we have experienced this several times these days. You are also not greeted when you come and you are not said goodbye when you leave - you are looked at - nothing more. Not recommended due to the staff

After an informative visit to the Hugonot Museum and climbing 220 steps of the French Cathedral, which offers a wonderful view of the city, we had a bit of an appetite. There was a delicious offering in the restaurant in the building. The menu was great, in quantity, quality and price. Thanks to the team and especially the kitchen.

The atmosphere is wonderful, and the food is tasty. My husband got the beef filet, he sent it back to have it cooked more, but it came back perfectly medium. I had the trout with lemon risotto. The mojito was refreshing and not overly sweet. We finished the evening with a slice of lemon tart with nice crunchy meringue. I would definitely recommend eating here. It’s a bit out of the way with construction in Gendarmarkt, but worth looking for

It's a bit cluttered right now due to construction nearby, but the outdoor space inside the museum is spacious and quiet, so I think it'll be nice after construction ends. The food is so delicious.

The two of us ate here on a Wednesday evening. To our surprise, we were the only guests. The staff was very friendly and very competent. As two introverted people, we felt we were in good hands. There was hardly anything wrong with the food. The entrecôte could use a little less pepper. My wife had the sea bream fish. The portion was a bit too large for her. The pearl barley alone could fill you up. Overall it's worth the five stars and a guaranteed recommendation. Thank you.

We had a lovely evening here. What was a bit strange was that the restaurant was quite empty on a Friday evening. But the food was good and the staff was very friendly! Creme Brulee was delicious, but cold - so not freshly made? I know it differently.

After work we spontaneously decided on Hugo&Note. To be honest, I didn't expect much given the location and was more than pleasantly surprised. No tourist trap: attentive, very friendly staff and good food in good portion sizes. We are happy to recommend the restaurant.

Great French bistro cuisine and good wines, all at very reasonable prices. Due to construction work in the neighborhood, sitting outside isn't quite as nice at the moment. Nevertheless, an unreserved recommendation!

It's been a while since our visit - Whitsunday - and I've been thinking for a long time about whether I should give myself a review. Well then, maybe it will help others (future guests). Maybe the sentence is enough - the bread was good. In short, just two dishes. The Coq au Vin, which had already been mentioned by other guests, was almost an outrage. It's not the first Coq au Vin I've had, but I've never come across anything like it. A dry chicken leg in an indefinable sauce. The asparagus salad, simply raw. Maybe it's healthy, but it's not tasty. The whole thing was rounded off by staff who “folded up the sidewalks” well before 10 p.m. and basically asked you to leave. It's a shame - the bland aftertaste of Tourifalle remains. In any case, I am convinced that guests from Switzerland and southern Germany (like us) will be disappointed. We know it differently and we are happy to pay a corresponding price for good food. I know from many stays in Berlin that things are definitely much better there.

The food is simply great. The 3-course menu is always great and always something special. It's really nice to sit there and you immediately feel at home. The service is attentive and very friendly. We always like to come back.

The tables are not too crowded, which is very pleasant. The staff is friendly and helpful, but not quite fit yet. The veal meatballs and the corn poularde were very good for the price. Unfortunately, I have to say that the veal schnitzel was a little too dry and there were far too few cranberries for the amount of meat. The lukewarm potato salad with cucumber was excellent. A little salad or vegetables would have rounded off the dish perfectly. The red wine bottles are probably stored upright because the cork unfortunately crumbled. The waiter tried his best to hide it.

We each had the delicious risotto with asparagus and wild garlic pesto (vegan and vegetarian) and a piece of Mousse Au Chocolate cake, very chocolaty 😍 There was also a bit of bread and butter at the beginning. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, all in all a lovely evening.

Ristorante situato al centro di una delle piazze più belle di Berlino. Vista la location ci aspettavamo di più. Piatti principali senza niente di particolare e quasi da "mensa". Dessert buoni. Buono il rapporto qualità/prezzo.

In winter you just sit inside, logically. There's construction going on outside anyway. This roundabout has the charm of a train station hall. If you sit on the outside edge, you've already lost. The menu is boring, only topped by the service. Eating took almost an hour, it wouldn't have been an issue if we had been told about it and . . . . . . .continued to provide drinks. After the first beer it was time for shift. We waved our glasses discreetly and waiters appeared in our orbit several times. But no look at the table. This place needs a theme, a few highlights to be considered a destination. Otherwise it turns out to be a tourist trap. There are X better ones within a 100m radius. It seems like they make their money with event catering and the resto is an annoying bycatch. ADDENDUM: As you can easily see, the response time corresponds to the speed of the service. So . . good luck “improving” it!

Very nice atmosphere in the area of ​​the domes, with extremely tight seating at the edge. The service was very attentive, although not very informative when asked. Our starters - duet of mushrooms and asparagus salad with strawberries - were fresh and good. Unfortunately there were some problems with the main courses: the asparagus course with small veal schnitzel was served with a thin and tasteless hollandaise sauce. The coq au vin consisted of stewed vegetables on which a dry chicken fat was draped because it had been fried for too long (not stewed). Out of the question, unfortunately. The prices are at least fair, but the concept overall seems half-baked. Unfortunately, we have no wish for a repeat.

Really amazing French food in Berlin. Every dishes we had were great, especially the lamb chops, absolutely stunning. Service was nice and spoke good English. The restaurant could be a bit more furnished and better designed. But we had a great evening for a fair price.

We were eating in the restaurant with a larger group and had chosen a menu from the menu a few weeks in advance. The food was very good and was served without any long waiting times. The employees were always very friendly and attentive, despite some complicated billing on our part. Definitely worth a visit.

Here we experienced more appearance than reality. The map is pleasantly clear and reads in an exciting and sophisticated way. The number of waiters also made this impression. The food showed the ingredients listed on the plate, but for us they were not coordinated and some were bland. The drinks ordered were assigned incorrectly. Normally it doesn't bother me at all, but in this restaurant, which wants to give the appearance of an upscale atmosphere, something like that shouldn't happen. The toilets were dirty, both the bowls and the floor had not been cleaned for a long time. When we finished eating, the waiter often came to our table intrusively to take further orders, he couldn't read body language, we verbally refused. After the food settled in our stomachs, we ordered dessert and espresso. Both were appealing. When we ordered dessert, however, the waitress explained to us at length why "our" waiter couldn't take the order. We weren't interested in personal matters. The tables were a comfortable distance apart. Overall we were disappointed and expected more.

Cod: far too bland, you searched in vain for salt or other spices. The savoy cabbage was almost still raw. Goulash: was way too peppery and tasted very special. Extremely Christmassy note, you have to like it. Veal cutlets: were the only ones that were really tasty. Well seasoned and very delicate. Recommended.

New Year's Eve booked. Expected a pleasant evening with good food. Time to enjoy and get good service. Unfortunately, expectations were not met at all. Before dinner drinks served with starter and white wine... A waitress who will remove plates after we have only eaten approx. 50% and therefore still have the starter on the plate and have not placed the knife and fork in position = 4 o'clock. Main course where beef cooked sous vide is served = tasteless and fish worshiped as a fillet with bones in it... And for which you just apologize with a smile... Here the boss should have stepped into character. Lack of attention on the table and no bill, but only an amount on the card terminal.... So therefore tr I said "no tips" without blinking. We will not come here again and would not recommend the place for dining.
