Hotel Weinhaus "Am Stiftstor" in Treis-Karden

Six of us dined at Stiftstor and were absolutely thrilled! The food was outstanding – schnitzel, chicken schnitzel, and salads, all delicious, fresh, and perfectly prepared. We also had a fantastic wine that paired wonderfully with the meal. You can tell the cooking here is done with love and care – a true hallmark of fine dining! Highly recommended, we'd love to come back! 🍷🥩🥗

Today, I wanted to enjoy a glass of wine with my wife at the aforementioned wine restaurant. But as soon as we sat down at a table for two, we were rudely informed that we were only allowed to sit there if we were eating a meal. It's a shame, because we couldn't get a drink or recommend the restaurant to anyone. It's the sound that makes the difference. By the way, ALL seats were still free. This hotel is highly recommended. It's run by very friendly hosts, and they're very concerned about their guests' well-being. It's family-run, and you can tell. Thank you so much, we felt very comfortable. If you're traveling by motorcycle, you can park your bike in the garage. This is definitely not self-sufficient. The parking lot also has space for a trailer.

Nice owners, overall a very good hotel. The rooms and ambiance are a bit dated.

We only ate here. The entire staff was super friendly, and the food was some of the best we've had on our Mosel vacation, all paired with the rustic atmosphere of the restaurant. The prices are quite reasonable; you'd expect more. So don't hesitate, go in. :)

Great stay for a few days (or longer) motorcycling on the Mosel. Good sleep, delicious food. Nice people. Beautiful surroundings.

We had dinner at the restaurant. There was only one table available when it opened. Unfortunately, all the dishes were convenience food, and it showed. Therefore, the value for money wasn't right for us.

We were there from October 16th. Guests here until 10/18/24. And I have to say, we were in good hands here. The hotelier and his wife were very accommodating and friendly. The food in the restaurant was very tasty. We'd love to come back. U

We came here relatively spontaneously with our cycling group - following a recommendation - and were thrilled. All dishes are homemade and freshly prepared, very tasty and all at a fair price. Attentive, friendly, yet unobtrusive service rounded off the evening perfectly. Gladly again .

What do these owners allow themselves to do to accommodate a guest in such a way that they feel completely comfortable??👍 unobtrusively nice with perfect service from start to finish. Karden doesn't have much, but the Stiftshof is worth stopping by!! Went there last year just to eat. Accommodated for a week this year. We thank you for 1. Your morning ceremony towards us before we came to breakfast. 2. The rooms were licked every day, even though we only came to sleep. 3. The dinner (which Cheffe himself) prepares in a perfect way 🤤🤤 Thank you again for 'Irony to' the tough ox 'Irony to' the roulade with side dishes that couldn't have been better. All other dishes during the week also exceeded our taste expectations. 3. Greetings and thanks to Speedy Gonzales (Detlef) your waiter. Fast and nice in every way. And of course thanks to everyone we didn't see who help keep this inn running. Because this inn exudes an inner coziness that we sooooooooo expect on the Moselle. It was actually a pleasure for us‼️

Very nice service and the food was really tasty 😋 There are only 2 vegetarian dishes and 1 of them is with salmon 😅 Luckily the chef can also put together something on request or leave out meat/fish 🙏🏼 The wines are great and it was a great evening! Thank you!!!

Typical German accommodation with very friendly owners and a good cuisine, value for money

Nice service, but unfortunately the vegetarian meal didn't have any fresh vegetables (probably canned) and the hash browns came from the freezer. Very disappointing for the price!

The host couple is great. Great food and well-kept drinks.

We were there with 7 people on Saturday evening. The food was great and so was the service. Yes, we could only pay the bill together but that wasn't a problem. It's amazing how great only two people behind the counter can do this. Greatest respect also to the chef. The food was served on warm plates at the same time. Absolutely recommended.

Easy to recommend, everything you need is there. Of course the rooms are a bit aged and the hotel's furnishings are reminiscent of the eighties, but the owners still do a good job.

We were cycling and stayed here overnight. Very accommodating boss. The food was excellent. As are the rooms. And thanks again for the tips on the way to Koblenz. After I used the WD 40, there were no more problems with my chain. The hotel is located directly on the railway. But you can hardly hear it. I can only recommend the house.

We stayed in the hotel with 4 people from May 13th to May 18th and felt very comfortable. The owners and the employees were very nice and fulfilled our every wish. Nice big clean room. Good staff. In the restaurant I would recommend the pork schnitzel over the chicken schnitzel. We did not hear the trains at night.

The House of Bans Bans everywhere! Table only for three people or more, only sit with food, bills not shared... Everything is possible but here the sound makes the music. No feel-good atmosphere at all. The employed waiter cannot change that; after all, he has to implement the guidelines. At breakfast I “met” the owners and asked myself why people who radiate so little hospitality run a hotel with a restaurant.

We had dinner there with five people last week. We received a very friendly welcome and everyone enjoyed the food so much that people were still raving about it the next day. The next time we vacation in the area, we will definitely come back!

Very nice hosts, great accommodation. The owners took great care of their guests and even organized a private tour of the Wildburg in Tries for us. Great, sufficient breakfast and very tasty 3-course menu in the evening. Highly recommended for relaxation.
