Hotel Weißes Roß Marienberg in Marienberg

Visited my birthplace for the Bergparde after almost fifty years. Very nice hotel in a central location. Good home cooking. Great breakfast. Very friendly and attentive staff. What my wife was particularly happy about was the pillow bar on the first floor. We haven't seen anything like this before. Great idea 💡.

We stayed in this hotel over the 1st of Advent because we wanted to enjoy the Advent atmosphere in the Ore Mountains. For the asking price of over 172 euros, we expected something really nice - after all, the photos on the website were very promising! The room was sufficient for one night - the beds were ok but the ambience was a disaster: - Bathroom very narrow and small with shower, - Window onto an inner courtyard with a view of the huge exhaust pipe, probably the kitchen, on the one hand and an emergency staircase on the right - Furniture stripped and repaired several times! Breakfast is offered until 10 a.m. - we showed up at 8:45 a.m. - 2 types of baked rolls - The bowls of butter, cucumbers and tomatoes were empty - Scrambled eggs and the 3 strips of bacon were cold - Coffee is more for those with weak hearts - Tables were still full of used dishes from 2 pensioner travel groups who had previously had breakfast. The two young employees in service seemed completely overwhelmed by the whole thing. Taking away the dishes, looking at what’s missing and refilling them and then hotel guests come again…. What remains is a stupid aftertaste! At this price there is still plenty of room for improvement, because the tour companies were really offered what you could see on reservation signs and even daily mail sheets

People go out too rarely. Too rare in your own town. Too rarely go to the hotel to enjoy a drink and a meal. Drop in at 9 in the evening and put the friendly service to the test - without disappointment - highly recommended.

Price performance top. Very nice rooms and friendly staff as well as a very good breakfast.

Overall, the hotel is very nice and has a certain charm, even if it is not particularly modern. So if you like a more traditional atmosphere, you will feel at home here. The à la carte food was really excellent - the dishes were very tasty and the portions were generous. The breakfast was also convincing: there was a large selection, and we particularly liked the fresh rolls. However, there are also a few points of criticism. Unfortunately, the rooms are extremely noisy, so you can easily hear conversations or noises from neighboring rooms. You can also hear the traffic on the street quite clearly, which can make for a restless sleep if you are sensitive to noise. Another point that bothered us was the service at the bar in the evening. The service was often only present sporadically, and around 11 p.m. we were asked to pay directly, which gave the impression of being thrown out early. Unfortunately that took away some of the atmosphere. Overall, a pleasant stay with small weaknesses, especially in the areas of noise protection and bar service.

Great little town, this Hotel was very clean and staff were very helpful, they went above and beyond in helping find away to Prague as our rental car wasn't allowed into Eastern Europe, so they made a lot of phone calls for us as we didn't speak the language. Let us leave the car there for a week so bought them presents as a thankyou upon our return. If I'm ever back that way I will stay here again...100%.

A perfect starting point for Stoneman Road without luggage transfer. This adds around 20 km and 300 meters of elevation gain per day.

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for three nights. We had one of the “cheapest” rooms. What can I say... The facility is very old. You don't really feel comfortable there. The closet had a really funny smell. Everything was clean. The spray in the shower was really loud. There's nothing wrong with relaxing showers. The pillow bar was good. We need to work on the warmth of the service staff. The lady at breakfast could barely open her mouth. The breakfast was okay. The bare necessities were there, but nothing special. The location is central, but also noisy from the street. The restaurant is worth highlighting. The food there is really good.

We had a very nice weekend here for two. The classic double room was clean with a very nice bathroom. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. Booked with half board, we got a three-course menu in the evening with a choice of three meals as the main course. In addition to the welcome drink, the breakfast buffet was also rich and had something for every taste. We wish the entire team continued success.

After an initial stumbling block due to the lack of bed linen for child number 2, which was delivered very quickly after a comment, we were able to fully enjoy our stay. The staff is very fond of children and always helpful. The family room was very clean and had everything we needed. Overall, we felt very comfortable and can definitely recommend the hotel. With half board we were always able to enjoy a 3-course meal in the restaurant in the evening, whereby you also had three choices for the main course and there was an extra dish for the kids if they didn't prefer any of the three suggestions. We were particularly impressed by the desserts every day.

We stayed here for 2 nights, the rooms are okay, the staff are very friendly. We felt very comfortable. The breakfast was great, everything your heart could desire. They even organized extra oat milk for us in the morning, which I think was very thoughtful. Great and thank you very much for that.

Nice, clean hotel, great breakfast buffet

Like every year for the Skoda meeting, I was a guest at this hotel again in 2024. As always, great service, very nice staff and the room (a different one than usual) was great again. Breakfast is very good, everything you need is there. Only the coffee could be a little stronger.

Nice hotel, centrally located. The rooms were clean. The food in the Roßtunnel was very tasty. The breakfast was good and sufficient. Now for the counter. The lady in the breakfast service came over to us as if she wasn't in the mood. Either there was no word from her, or just a “morning.” On the first day she brought coffee to the table without asking if I even wanted coffee. On the second day, the lady was in the breakfast room to re-set the tables, but she didn't notice that I hadn't gotten any coffee yet. After I had eaten my first roll, I asked her if I could get coffee, but I was almost finished with breakfast. Luckily, on the third day there was another lady there with her, who then immediately asked me if I wanted coffee. I also think it's a shame that the children aren't asked if they would like to drink warm milk or cocoa. Another con is that on the last evening before departure, the hotel smelled so strongly of the kitchen, especially of onions, right up to the second hallway, where my son and I had our room, which was no longer nice. I come from the catering industry myself and just wanted to switch off with my child and then you still have that kitchen smell.

This is a nice and clean hotel. The staff is very friendly and is open to any questions. The food in the restaurant is very tasty and the service team is friendly and attentive. Since it is centrally located you can go in all directions and do something. We'd love to come back.

Very well located hotel. The employees are all friendly and the service is impeccable. We stayed with our grandchildren in a very large room with 2 double beds and felt very comfortable. The breakfast left nothing to be desired and you can also eat well in the restaurant for a reasonable price. The young man in the restaurant was particularly nice and friendly. Thank you for the pleasant stay.

The Hotel Weißes Roß exceeded all my expectations. From the warm welcome to the impeccable cleanliness of the rooms, everything was perfect. The dining options were exquisite, the wellness area was relaxing and the staff was extremely accommodating. An unforgettable stay that I can recommend to everyone. Thank you.

The food is 1A, super good, the service is very good and of course the selection too

A very nice hotel. The staff was always friendly and accommodating. The food was first class, whether at dinner or at the sumptuous breakfast. The rooms were clean and we felt very comfortable. The street noise didn't bother us. Personally, as I'm a pillow freak, I thought it was particularly great that you could choose your own pillows and there were different ones to choose from. We would be happy to come back and would like to thank the entire team at the hotel.

What a neat little hotel. The reception room and the staff employed there have put in a lot of effort! In this hotel, the white horse in Marienberg, no wish was left unfulfilled! The service in the restaurant was excellent and second to none. Everything in our room was lovingly prepared, a feel-good place for several days. The decorations in the dining room, dining room at every table on every table, and the warm handling of our orders was unique! Value for money was exceptionally good. The food we ate was a taste explosion, exquisitely prepared and with loving details that were also pleasing to the eye. In every area we experienced these days, we enjoyed the friendly and loving nature of the entire staff, with a tremendous empathy for us. In my life I have been to many hotels all over the world, but in the “Weißes Roß” in Marienberg we experienced a level of warmth that could hardly be surpassed. I would like to sincerely thank all of the employees for this. My personal opinion: highly recommended!!!

2 people 2 rooms booked with booking.com, we received the confirm, but at the arrive only 1 room was available. They moved 1 of us in a smoking room, that was really smelly. All rest of the service was average

Sehr schönes kleines Hotel mit bester Anbindung zum Zentrum von Marienberg. Sauberes Zimmer, sehr nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal. Vielen Dank auch an die Rezeption, dafür dass wir frühzeitig einchecken durften. Ich bin mir sicher, wir kommen wieder.

Das Hotel Weisses Ross ist ein sehr schönes Hotel was auch eine Sauna hat. Die Zimmer sind etwas älter, dafür sehr sauber! Das Restaurant hat eine schöne umfangreiche Speisekarte. Die Gerichte sind sehr schmackhaft und lecker. Das Frühstücksbuffet ein Traum! So kann ein Tag starten. Danke vielmals

Hotel Weißes Roß Marienberg Erzgebirge Ein kleines Stadthotel 100 Meter vom Marktplatz entfernt. Ordentlich, sauber, gemütliche Zimmer, eine kleine Sauna, Bar, Restaurant und deftige Küche bieten eine gute Ausgangsbasis um allen Möglichkeiten des Wintersports in der Umgebung zu frönen. Vier Sterne sind nun einmal keine 5 Sterne, aber auch diese müssen kontinuierlich und allumfassend tagtäglich verteidigt/umgesetzt werden. Insgesamt von uns leider nur 3 Sterne. Mit einigen Verbesserungen könnte das Haus sicher nachlegen und schnell das 4- Sterne- Niveau erreichen.
