Very nice, quiet hotel with good, friendly service and staff. The steakhouse is very pleasant with its decor and atmosphere, and the food is highly recommended.

We ate there today. It was a really great steakhouse. Great service, high-quality, delicious food, and the ambiance was unique and simply wonderful. We've already booked a table for next time. The staff was very competent and friendly. The dam is also worth a visit.

We ate at the steakhouse. The food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere, in the style of Bud Spencer and Terence Hill, was fantastic. The waiter was in a really great mood, but he was also alone.

At first, the head bartender seemed a bit snotty (my subjective opinion), but the manager and the rest of the service team did a great job. Very good food and they really made the most of the location.

The ambiance is excellent, a balm for the soul. The food and service, as well as the rooms, are presented with heart and attention to detail. An oasis for relaxation and enjoyment. We'd be happy to return. THANK YOU

The food and accommodations are top-notch, and a big shout-out to the receptionist – we spontaneously booked an overnight stay on Saturday evening, and she called me to ask if we should eat out or if she should reserve a table for us. Now that's what I call service, because the lodge was packed!

Nice in itself, the ambiance and the location. Service is also quite good. Unfortunately, the chef has no idea about meat's core temperature. It's a shame, really, for a steak that costs almost €55. My friends were unfortunately missing the side dish that should have been included with the meal and didn't need to be ordered separately. The drinks waiter does a great job!

We spent a wonderful weekend at the Hotel Riverdam. Excellent service, very nice, friendly staff, and a very attentive manager who always takes care of guests' needs. A chef who rocks the kitchen like no other. Excellent cuisine; the food was a pure, top-notch culinary delight. We would definitely love to come back.

We were "just" there for dinner. A fantastic atmosphere with a beautiful view and very good food. The value for money is definitely on point. The staff and owners are attentive and leave no wish unfulfilled. We'd be happy to come back.

This hotel and restaurant has a great location, right next to the Heyda Dam. The hotel is very nicely decorated, and fans of Bud Spencer and Terence Hill will especially enjoy it. The rooms are clean and adequately sized, although you'll have to get used to the rattling boats in the water if you sleep with the window open. Steak lovers will also get their money's worth in the restaurant. We're not big connoisseurs, but we found everything delicious. I would have preferred at least halved tomatoes for the small side salad for €7.50, which I found a bit sloppy. I would also like to point out that it's always best to let us know in advance if you want to pay with a voucher, as this often leads to problems and the voucher can't be credited.

Overall, the property is well suited for a long weekend with 1 to 2 nights. However, infants are a nuisance in the dining area when mothers think they are so great when they have to come here with a 2 to 6 week old infant. This is torture for everyone involved. Well, you circled the dam in 90 minutes and saw beautiful nature along the way. I suspect a lot of 🍄 mushrooms in the fall. The steakhouse is expensive but mostly justified. The entire staff is friendly and willing to work.

Absolutely recommended 😍 We ate at Riverdam again yesterday and it was just perfect. Delicious drinks, amazing food and super friendly and lovely service. The restaurant is very cozy and stylishly furnished. We recommend it 1000 percent and will be back very soon.

Perfect for relaxing right next to a fairytale forest

Far from any hectic city center, we found a quiet and lovingly furnished and decorated inn located on the banks of the reservoir. This wonderful location alone makes Haus Riverdam a worthwhile destination! The rooms are bright, friendly and comfortable, the furnishing style and the motto of Bud Spencer & Terence Hill runs seamlessly through the house and restaurant. With every course you could find new details, we found this very nice. The restaurant with terrace (with a view of the lake, of course) is cozy and chic and the attention to detail can also be found here. The dishes are delicious, varied and well portioned. A wide selection of drinks leaves nothing to be desired and the preparation time (even when the house is full) leaves no room for complaint. We found the service and staff to be friendly and accommodating. Our dachshund Heidi was also warmly welcomed and had a great stay. All in all, a wonderful place to stay, eat and feel good! Had a company party there. Beautiful location that benefits from its location on the dam. Staff friendly, but unfortunately not very fast. Waiting half an hour for drinks was not uncommon. But probably too few staff. Buffet style food was ok, unfortunately nothing more. The prices for drinks were high, cola €4.50, wheat beer €5.90 as examples.

We visited the Riverdam last week on a recommendation, our steaks were excellently fried and the drinks were also excellent. The handsome waiter (according to the bill Niclas) was very well dressed, was always courteous and has a kind of charisma that makes you enjoy interacting with the waiter. We will definitely come back, this is not to be missed.

The 300g fillet steak almost melted in my mouth, really top quality. The service is very attentive and friendly. The interior is very lovingly designed, and Bud Spencer and Terence Hill also come along to eat. See you next time

Heard a lot of good recommendations about the place from my friends, went in with my wife to try it out. Ambient is inspired by Bud Spencer and Terence Hill and done really nicely. We waited an hour, didn't get our food, just drinks, even after a follow up on the order only answer we got was "I'll ask in the kitchen", 10 min later no answer, no food, we just left. Maybe it will be better next time.

The service was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is tastefully decorated. A must for anyone who likes Bud Spencer and Terence Hill. :). The food was very tasty. The steaks were perfectly fried. We were well advised on the side dishes. Not exactly cheap, but quality comes at a price that you're happy to pay. The surrounding area is also very beautiful for hikers. We have already recommended the house privately.

We had reserved places for lunch on Sunday for a hiking group of 16 people at fairly short notice and were completely pleasantly surprised. The welcome was so warm that we immediately felt at home. The decoration, pictures, etc. immediately give rise to the suspicion that we are dealing with absolute Bud Spencer and Terence Hill fans. Unfortunately, they didn't have their favorite bean dish today. But we were treated to extremely delicious steaks, salad plates, etc. The steaks were cooked exactly as desired, kudos to the kitchen. The price level is a little higher than other restaurants in the area, but it definitely offers an experience for all the senses. Many thanks again to the whole team, we will be happy to come back!

Incredibly good quality, both the ambience and of course the food! And that paired with super nice, first-class service. Absolutely recommended. Such a great restaurant, wow! The location is also great and invites you to take a wonderful walk along the Heyda reservoir. We'd love to come back.

Had a seminar there for 4 days. The hotel is just GREAT. The location is very quiet, but really nice. Great rooms.... The whole staff is super attentive and friendly. The very best...the FOOD. I've never eaten so well when eating out. That's what everyone said at our seminar (22 people). I come from the Cologne area and will definitely go there again. IT CANNOT BE BETTER! If you think it's expensive there...It's 100% worth it...I even think it's too cheap for the quality Regardless of whether it's a seminar or private... I went to the biathlon with my family, January 9-13, we stayed overnight in the hotel and ate in the restaurant in the evening. The rooms are clean, comfortable and very nicely decorated. The hotel is very remote, surrounded by forest and the dam/lake and is ideal for hiking. If you want to relax and have peace and quiet here, you will get your money's worth. The restaurant is furnished with great attention to detail, the staff is friendly and very attentive (familiar). There is a varied and very rich breakfast buffet with everything your heart desires 💓, if you still have something to eat, unfortunately you can't help it. Dinner in the restaurant is all very tasty 😋, we're looking forward to the whole thing The following year we stayed there again in the hotel and had a delicious meal in the restaurant. Price/performance ratio 👍, we have been coming to the hotel for the 4th time now. The hotel and restaurant are lovingly furnished and the entire staff is always in a good mood, polite, friendly and accommodating, even when the restaurant is at full capacity. On Sunday, when the restaurant is closed in the afternoon, our hosts l + P prepared something delicious for us. A big thank you again for that 🤗 we are looking forward to the next time, rooms are already reserved 😉

A colleague and I reserved this hotel on a business trip. Shortly after making the reservation we were called to coordinate details for our short stay. The restaurant is closed, but we were still offered food there, which we gratefully accepted. The employees then prepared everything perfectly. Food was really good. The rump steak was medium as ordered, the salad was very tasty. There is a nice big TV in the room and the price-performance ratio is great for a business trip. If I'm in the area again I'll make reservations there again.

We celebrated our wedding there, food, staff, flexibility, everything was just perfect 😊.

We were on the terrace around 3:30 p.m. and were ignored by the staff for about 15 minutes. They stood at a table and puffed on cigarettes. We got our drinks from Niklas, who was very polite, courteous and friendly. After the second order, which was very quick, an employee came shortly before 5 p.m. and very rudely asked us to pay. He was alone and it was full inside, we went to the toilet and it looked like the customers had probably sat under the tables. There were actually two tables occupied. Nobody will see us anytime soon, there are definitely better places in the area.

THANK YOU for this wonderful weekend with you - we were a wonderful group and were completely pampered by you. Familiar atmosphere and delicious food, the location is a dream for fans of the two film legends Bud & Terence.

We stayed at the hotel for 3/4 days for the SpencerHill Festival...Arrival September 5th...Departure September 8th, 24😄 It was great, anyone who loves SpencerHill is in good hands there. The service and I'm not just talking about Steffi, but everyone was super nice and very attentive. Rooms were great...breakfast was fresh, very varied, if you don't get enough you can't help it🤣The farewell speech on Sunday was totally warm. They were a cool group. Will definitely come back and not just when the festival is again 😁 Everyone stay as you are. VG from the (ex) guests from room 20🤣😅😂

We were a festival group, SpencerHill Festival, from September 5th to September 8th, 2024 and had the hotel to ourselves. A soooo beautiful hotel, with very friendly bosses, the lovely Steffi at reception and the waitresses. Perfect location for those looking for peace and quiet. Away from the hustle and bustle and stress. It was a very nice time, we had fun both in the hotel and at the festival. Everyone was a bit tired but we slept great. We didn't miss anything. Everything was so warm, I didn't miss anything and if I did, for example... A roll of toilet paper would do this quickly and easily. Standup paddling with an 8-person board and kayaking are possible here. Just ask at the hotel and you can borrow it. Depending on your speed, you can walk around the lake for up to 1 hour. I will come back and not for another year. Steffi and Ines thank you very much for the great time we were able to spend with you.

We stayed here for 1 night and had an amazing steak meal! Probably the best steak I've ever had! This place is unique and quirky and the staff are very friendly and helpful! We will be back!

We went out to eat today full of anticipation. So we still had the taste from last time on our tongues. But unfortunately we left a little disappointed this time. The quality of the meat wasn't very good so I had a stringy head piece as a fillet steak which is an absolute no go for me. In addition, I had ordered my meat unseasoned and unfortunately this request was not fulfilled. When we paid we pointed this out to the waiter and he didn't respond rudely. I could have said something earlier, yes I would have, but it wasn't until the end that I noticed how flaxy my piece of fillet meat actually was. He also wanted to explain to me that you can't look into the flesh. You can't, that's clear, but apart from the outer tendon, the head of a fillet is only visible in the meat and you don't sell that as a fillet steak

Gorgeous steaks and wonderful service staff and ownership

Unfortunately I can't say anything about the rooms. But the restaurant is tastefully decorated, the employees are all very accommodating and very, very friendly. Even with two dogs this is no problem at all. The food is beautifully prepared and extremely tasty. Not cheap, but all the ingredients are fresh and of excellent quality. We'll definitely be back☺️

A little pearl! I stopped there at 3 a.m. while passing through and on my morning walk I asked for a coffee. I was able to help myself to the delicious breakfast buffet and all the employees, especially the boss, were extremely hospitable and warm. The view and the surrounding nature are also rewarding!

Unfortunately, once again the steak ordered “medium” was only “rare”. The shrimp starter and the steak were also completely over-seasoned. We would be happy to come back if this could be adjusted. The ambience is great. The waiters also do a good job.

Very nice atmosphere. The restaurant is original and very attractively designed and cozy. Definitely something for the eye. The location at the dam is very nice and invites you to take a walk. The food is very tasteful and beautifully prepared. My steak could have been a little more medium rare, but it was still within reasonable limits. The French fries are definitely homemade and also very tasty. The staff is very friendly, but could be a little more attentive when it comes to drinks. Why I only give it 4 stars is because of the price. It's pretty expensive, 270g rip eye steak was €39. The steak included a baked potato and herb butter. Salad is available at an additional cost.

I stayed there as part of a customer event. The room was spacious, although the toilet needed cleaning. The dinner, combined with the steaks, was amazing! The customer event was also very well organized and the food was very good. The staff was also consistently friendly. I would love to come back.

The quality was very good. We can highly recommend the steakhouse. However, a reservation would be an advantage. We were very satisfied.
