On Friday (July 26th) we went hiking in the Eifel. We coordinated the end of the hike with the opening times of Haus Mühlbach. According to the internet it should open at 5:30 p.m., according to the notice it should open at 5 p.m. Unfortunately, it didn't open at all, and there was no notice on the restaurant or in the notice about changed opening times or company holidays. There are no alternative options in the evenings. A pity

Wanted to eat on a Sunday in July, it said that the kitchen had opened until 19.30, we arrived at 18.15, but the kitchen was just about to close, so we couldn't eat that day. 🤨☹️

I was just in the restaurant. Therefore no room rating... Very tasty and plentiful food, prices okay, very nice atmosphere, nice ambience, centrally but quietly located...Really great. Very nice service. Top! Gladly again.

Rarely have such delicious food been received and eaten. I can fully recommend this restaurant. If you like home-style cooking and want to eat really tasty food, this is the place for you.

Rating for ice cream sales only: First: Phew, €2 for a scoop of ice cream. Then be amazed: the balls are huge, almost twice as big as usual. And then enjoy: really tasty! Conclusion: Great value for money, definitely again next time!

The food was overall disappointing. The fries were warm but not hot. The schnitzel was large, juicy and well fried in the pan. There was also a large portion of "cream sauce" with a rather pudding-like consistency and tasted like a finished product. The side salad was soaked in oil - vinaigrette??? None. The noodles with vegetables were sticky and the whole dish was not worth repeating. The much praised homemade ice cream on the menu was not available. A dessert alternative was not offered. Unfortunately there was no salad as a main course on the menu. The only really good thing was the tomato soup.

UPDATE: We have now been “guests” here a few times. Guest in quotation marks because you don't really feel like a guest. The atmosphere is much more, and in the truest sense of the word, FRIENDLY to FAMILY!!! Years after our first stay, I have noticed that the standard has been maintained or increased in all aspects (rooms, kitchen, service,......). But what always blows us away is the absolute warmth that greets us at Haus Mühlbach. We'll definitely be back :-D. 2021: I am outraged that there are only 4.5 stars for this property on Google. :-( There are certainly "better" hotels or restaurants... AAAAABER........ I don't know anything better in this price range!!!!! Background to this review: We rode our motorcycles through the West with three boys over a long weekend and of course also stopped off in the Eifel. I then booked this house because it was “only” meant to stay overnight and was simply the cheapest in the desired area. So we were looking for bed, snack and beer... When we rolled up to the parking lot in the evening, the first thing I liked was the proximity to the water. The hotel is located directly on the Rur (yes. WITHOUT the “h”.) Otherwise, the first impression, and this is not meant to be disrespectful in any way, was that of a mini golf course like in the 80s. But this was only the very first impression. As soon as we were greeted we felt warmly welcomed. We were shown to the rooms and were really amazed. Very modern rooms with great bathrooms. Excellent mattresses!!!! Unfortunately, I was only able to rest on this mattress for a short time because we wanted to meet for dinner soon. As I said... the first impression: mini golf course. So we thought we would get a menu on the table offering us currywurst or Jägerschnitzel with fries. NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!! The map is very international and varied. Even for me, a vegetarian, there are different, interesting variations. But it wasn't the variety of species on the menu that overwhelmed us, it was simply the quality and taste of the food. We ended up with Italian, rustic, vegetarian and a cury on the table. CONSISTENTLY OUTSTANDING!!!!! And by that I don't mean "relatively good" because we expected less, but really GREAT!!!! We were expecting bed, snack and beer. We got comfortable accommodation, haute cuisine and KÖLSCH!!! (which is not irrelevant for a native of Cologne :-P) And because of all the indulgence, we don't want the always professional but warm, familiar service. We will come back in any case!!!! My daughter and I rented a holiday apartment in town ourselves. We reserved a table at Haus Mühlbach.

Very very tasty food. The menu is creative and varied. The homemade ice cream and homemade fries are amazing! We will definitely be back, highly recommended!

Very nice rustic but cozy hotel. Large parking lot available. Nice rooms with decent beds. Very chic bathroom. Breakfast is delicious. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed on the day we stayed overnight.

If the supplement. “Schwenkpotatoffel” with rump steak is a poem in itself! Got the last free table this evening. As always, it was an experience to eat in this family-run restaurant. Google asks for a review of the rooms, we didn't need them for the food. We're already looking forward to the next meal. The geese that are carried past us also say great. The guests around us were also thrilled. Many thanks to the kitchen and the service for a great evening.

We had an appointment for 4 people yesterday at Gans. It turned out differently because the goose had probably flown away, but it was still an excellent evening. Nice hosts, attentive service. The selection of dishes is not overly rich, but what was served on the table was always A1. Gladly again, maybe to the goose🤣

Ate delicious goose today. Side dishes: dumplings, red cabbage, Brussels sprouts and apelmus as well as a delicious sauce. Excellent, what more could you want. Fast, friendly service. Kind regards from EMU.

Wir haben dort die Außengastronomie benutzt und hatten ein nettes Gespräch mit dem Besitzer.

Auch wir bedauern, dass die Speisekarte (jedenfalls als wir zu Besuch dort waren) drastisch reduziert wurde. Was wohl den Umständen (Personalmangel) geschuldet ist. Das Essen, was wir bekamen (Burger) war allerdings super gut. Frisch und sehr lecker. Mir ist eine reduzierte Speisekarte lieber, als vorgefertigte Produkte serviert zu bekommen! Zu den Zimmern können wir nichts sagen. Haben nicht im Hotel übernachtet.

Wir waren im Restaurant und haben Spätzle, Fisch und Leberkäse bestellt. Die Qualität des Essens war wirklich nicht gut. Die Spätzle waren ertränkt in Sahne, mit Röstzwiebeln aus der Dose. Der Fisch hat auch nach wenig geschmeckt und die Bratkartoffeln und der Leberkäse waren zu salzig. Das ganze Essen machte den Eindruck, als ob keinerlei frische Zutaten genutzt wurden. Lange nicht mehr so schlecht gegessen. Der Salat war aber lecker und der Service war eigentlich auch gut.

Ich habe hier schon ein Zimmer für eine Nacht gebucht und auch des Öfteren gegessen. Bin jederzeit sehr zufrieden und habe absolut nichts zu beanstanden. Überaus freundliches Personal und wo wird man sonst von der Geschäftsführerin persönlich bedient? Familienbetrieb ❤️

Heerlijk gegeten, super vriendelijke bediening, aanrader!

Eine sehr abgespeckte Speisekarte und Selbstbedienung im Garten, diese Wirtschaft scheint Personalmangel zu haben. Die bestellte Portion Pommes aber war hervorragend!

Da wir in Abenden Quartier bezogen hatten, wollten wir auch unbedingt die Lokalität vor Ort ausprobieren. Draußen im Biergarten hat man eine schöne Sicht auf die Rur. Das draußen Selbstbedienung ist und es daher eine abweichende Speisekarte gibt, hat uns nicht gestört, denn wir hätten problemlos nach innen wechseln können. Beide Bedienungen waren super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Burger war mit Speck, Spiegelei und Käse reichlich belegt. Auch haben wir uns über die gemischten Salate auf dem Burger sehr gefreut. Meist ist ja sonst langweiliger Eisbergsalat auf Burgern zu finden. Nicht so hier. Sollten wir wieder mal in der Nähe sein, kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder. Danke

Ik had zelf een fout gemaakt met boeken, dus geen kamer. Eigenaresse Bapsie heeft er alles aan gedaan om ons onder te brengen in een anders hotel. Heel erg bedankt.

Hier gibt es noch frische, hausgemachtes und aus Naturprodukten hergestellte Eiscreme.

Aan de Rur, zeer gastvrije eigenaars en je kan Nederlands praten is 50 jaar geleden uit Mokum vertrokken en de kinderen spreken ook Nederlands. Mooie ruime kamers welke super schoon zijn. Ontbijt is uitgebreid en eten 's avonds was ook heerlijk. Mocht ik weer in de buurt zijn is dit mijn hotel keuze.

Wir haben im Restaurant die Burger genossen. Der Burger war mit Spiegelei und Speck, Zwiebeln, Pommes und allerlei anderen Zutaten appetitlich angerichtet. Es gibt auch eine sehr leckere vegane Version. WLAN vorhanden.

Freundliche Bedienung..nettes Lokal..ABER !!!! Gerichte sind klein und zu teuer... der Kuchen ist lecker aber auch hier sind die Stücke recht klein und dafür zu teuer.. Preisleistung stimmt einfach nicht...

Nach einer tollen Wanderung rund um die Burg Nideggen sind wir abends hier eingekehrt und hatten ein unerwartet tolles Erlebnis im Restaurant Haus Mühlbach. 3 von 4 aus unserer Gruppe ernähren sich vegan und auf der Karte war nicht direkt ersichtlich, ob es vegane Gerichte gibt bzw. welche Gerichte vegan sind. Wir fragten also nach, was möglich sei und wurden äußerst positiv vom Koch überrascht, der zu uns an den Tisch kam und uns diverse Optionen vorstellte. Alles vegetarische auf der Karte konnte problemlos 'veganisiert' werden. Außerdem bekamen wir Edamame-Nudeln anstelle von normalen Weizennudeln und zum Salat mit Brot wurde extra noch eine vegane Aioli kreiert. Das Essen war super lecker und wurde frisch zubereitet. Wir haben bereits die ersten Weiterempfehlungen ausgesprochen und ich freue mich schon auf ein nächstes Mal!

Tolles kreatives Essen in netten Räumen. Wird mit Herzblut betrieben und das schmeckt man auch. Der Aussenauftritt ist eher bieder und wird nach den Flutschäden noch in Angriff genommen. Ideale Belohnung für eine Rurtalwanderung

Lecker und frisch zubereitet. Meine Feriengäste sind von der Küche und dem schönen Biergarten begeistert und wir auch.

Nach einer nicht unanstrengenden Wanderung um Abenden herum sind wir gegen Abend zu vier Personen und unserem Hund in den Biergarten von Haus Mühlbach eingekehrt. Die frisch gezeapften Biere und sonstigen Getränke waren in null komma nichts bei uns und die aufmerksame Bedienung ließ uns auch weiterhin nicht verdursten - im Gegenteil! Die Speisen waren individuell zusammenstellbar, frisch zubereitet und äußerst delikat! Die Qualität des Fleisches ist sehr gut! Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut! Die Atmosphäre ist sehr gut! Sehr gut auch die Papas an einem Tag in der Woche! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Unsere heutige Gans-Abholportion - ofenfrisch und schmackhaft mit leckeren Beilagen wie Knödel mit toller Sauce, Rotkohl mit Apfelscheiben, kanckigen Maronen, Bratapfel und Apfelmus war das Highlight eines weiteren Corona-Sonntags. Danke und Gruß an die Küche.👍👏😘 1

So leckere Schnitzel gibt es selten, gutes Bier, nette Bedienung, immer freundlich. Große Portionen, auch die Beilagen sind gut. Es darf nur auf der Terasse nicht zu voll sein, dann leidet bei warmen Wetter das Essen (Schnitzel dann fritiert, Salat alt, nicht frisch) und der Service.
