We were there for lunch today with eight people, and we were impressed by this restaurant! 💗 The children were given priority and given coloring materials. The service was incredibly friendly and warm. The food was fantastic! The children loved it, and so did we! We'll be back! Best regards, Johannes and family

We've been coming to Restaurant Kienberg for years. The food is still good and plentiful. Unfortunately, the salad bar isn't as extensive anymore. One of the servers, whom we didn't know, was quite unfriendly. When the children returned the menu, they immediately received a stern reprimand: "Do you treat your school notebooks like that?" This was simply because they hadn't put the children's menu and daily specials in with the main menu. When the table was being cleared, we were also told how one is supposed to eat the goulash. A strange way to handle things. Well, finding good staff is difficult. Otherwise, everything was really good.

We've been coming to Inzell for years and regularly visit the Kienberg restaurant. We've always enjoyed our visits and have never been disappointed. Unfortunately, this time was different. The food and drinks were of good quality. However, the service was atrocious and completely ruined our evening. It started with the beer mats being thrown at us... After I had finished my delicious venison goulash and the waitress was clearing it away, she said very sarcastically and dismissively, "You're the first lady here who hasn't eaten the goulash straight from the pan. It's always eaten straight from the pan here!!" I was just about to compliment the chef. It's a real shame. We'll be avoiding the Kienberg next time. Luckily, there are plenty of good alternatives.

We ate at the restaurant; the staff was very friendly and the food was plentiful and delicious. You could also simply help yourself at the salad bar. We're giving an extra star because the pasta dishes were even offered gluten-free. Thank you!

We had dinner at the Gasthof Kienberg today, as usual without a reservation, and the very friendly owner immediately showed us to a table. We were initially skeptical since we didn't really want Mediterranean food in Bavaria… but… we weren't expecting anything so good. The food was top-notch, the service was amazing, and the atmosphere was simply wonderful. We weren't expecting such a pleasant surprise; everything was perfect. At the end, we were even offered a complimentary schnapps and exchanged a few pleasant words with the owner. Simply a model establishment. We had dinner at the Gasthof Kienberg during our vacation and were more than impressed by the ambiance and service, as well as, of course, the excellent food. Everything here comes together to make your vacation truly enjoyable. A fantastic restaurant in the heart of Inzell.

For us, this is the best restaurant in Inzell. We chose the Hexentopf, and it was outstanding.

Well, I'm really an omnivore, and I like everything, and I don't have high standards... We went there for dinner, and I have to say, it wasn't tasty 😟 Ordered: Gypsy schnitzel and farmer's schnitzel. Both schnitzels weren't breaded?? Was there no breadcrumbs?? I know from my youth that I once made schnitzel without breadcrumbs because I didn't feel like it or there weren't any, but a breaded schnitzel simply tastes better... I'm just wondering what the Wiener schnitzel would have looked like? The onions on the farmer's schnitzel were softly cooked with the sour sauce, no, it wasn't tasty. The gypsy sauce, actually, it's called paprika sauce these days, was more without paprika, but with corn and beans, hmmm... never experienced that before. The service and the hostess were super nice and friendly, everyone was welcoming 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 You immediately felt at home, and the atmosphere was really cozy. Perhaps the menu here is far too large; it's better to have a smaller one and the dishes are still delicious...my tip 😉

We went to dinner at Kienberg last night, as we had previously been ignored at the Schwarzberg Inn. I have to say, the service was top-notch, the food was super delicious. The service was fast and exceptionally friendly. We sat outside in the beer garden by the window. To finish off, they offered us a bargain and chocolate. A very nice gesture. We'll definitely be back. If the waitresses weren't so arrogant, they would be conceited, arrogant, and could do everything better, especially putting down those who work longer hours like that, it's not nice. We think Conny, Rita, and Sylvi are great for you and they are the best.

Wonderful food, generous portions, enough to satisfy everyone. The onion roast beef is highly recommended, as is the schnitzel Montenegro. Both dishes are 10/10, and I would come back anytime. With a wait of about 15 minutes, you know it's freshly made! We sat outside on Monday evening, and the three waitresses were extremely friendly and helpful.

Despite the full house, we got a nice table in the beer garden and were served quickly and friendly. The food was good and reasonably priced.

Absolutely NOT recommended for vegetarians. They don't even serve cheese spaetzle like any other restaurant. The pizzas were sold out (because they weren't homemade). The staff was friendly and helpful, but they were overwhelmed with seats already two-thirds full. If nothing else is open and you like meat, you can go there.

Restaurant only: After waiting 10 minutes for a table assignment without any greeting, we left. A friendly hello, a smile, or some kind of acknowledgement would have helped.

My dark shandy was a failure. It really didn't taste good and was mixed incorrectly. The Kaiserschmarrn was one of the worst we've ever eaten. Not homemade, it was dense, and it had cheap chocolate sauce. Service was on point—really not recommended.

We went to the restaurant for dinner. A nice selection of beers. The food tasted okay. My Bolognese had an off-balance of pasta to sauce. It was more like a Bolognese soup. The adjoining room was very cozy.

This place shouldn't even be rated... Great food, friendly service, and a great atmosphere. Yugoslavian cuisine combined with Bavarian. We really like it! Anyone who says otherwise should go to Kempinski or somewhere else.

We were just guests in the restaurant. Super friendly staff, delicious food, generous portions, and a great salad bar. It's comfortably furnished, and you can also sit on a terrace, which is partially covered by an awning. We've been there several times and were always very satisfied. If you haven't reserved in advance, don't go too late, otherwise you might not have a chance of getting a seat.

My daughter and I went here for dinner, it was very nice, it was busy and the food was great but the woman who helped us was so terribly rude that it was even laughable, a very angry old woman in a dirndl dress... who almost threw our cards and cutlery on the table, who only communicated in short tones and really could not hide that she thought we were terrible😬 too bad but yes again the food was delicious

We visited twice this week and highly recommend this restaurant. It's beautifully decorated inside, and the outdoor seating is also great. The ladies were all incredibly friendly, quick, and attentive. There are many wines by the glass, as well as draft and special bottled beers (Festbier, light and dark bock, etc.). The food selection is very diverse: fish, meat, pasta, pizza, and much more. It's actually unusual for someone to offer practically everything, but it was great. Especially since they have a few special dishes (e.g., "Yugoslavian schnitzel" – incredibly delicious!). The monkfish was amazing, as was the duck breast. Often, there's a free salad from the buffet, and a free shot of schnapps at the end. The prices are low for the quantity, selection, and quality. So, if you like home-style food, you'll hit the jackpot here. Thank you very much!

I'm a motorcyclist passing through, and there's parking right outside. The hotel offers excellent service, beautiful, typically Bavarian rooms, friendly staff, and a good, varied breakfast. The restaurant also has a menu that's not lacking. All in all, a great hotel. I'd love to come back.

You can eat well, the staff is friendly

Went there because of the positive reviews. The three stars are for the staff. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, except for one waitress who was quite unfriendly. The food was not what we expected based on the reviews. For example, when it came to paprika schnitzel, I got a schnitzel with a carrot, corn and zucchini sauce. I was expecting a paprika sauce. But maybe everyone defines it a little differently. The fried potatoes were also quite tasteless and dry.

The obligatory salad as a starter can be picked up in self-service, it could have been a little fresher for my taste, but it was fine. All the employees are hospitable and there was even a schnapps to drink on the house. That was necessary after the delicious meal. The portions are definitely enough to fill you up. Vi boede i byen og søgte efter aftensmad. Vi gik ind ved 19 tiden uden at have bestilt bord. Der var helt fyldt op, men efter ca. 10-15 minutter fik vi plads i enden af bord, hvor der også sad andre gæster (hvilket var helt OK). Serveringspersonalet bar egnsdrafter - hvilket så flot ud og var hyggeligt. Personalet var meget flinke og hjælpsomme. Vi bestilte dels en griltallerken og en salat med kylling. Vi havde også udset os en lækker dessert, men valgte at vente med at bestille, og det var godt. Portionerne var enorme og vi kunne ikke spise op. Maden var i orden, men det var ikke goumet, hvilket vi heller ikke forventede. Speciel/fin toiletbræt på herretoilet!

We were here before 2 years ago, we liked it so much that we came back today, we missed the Berliner, is she no longer there? Or was she free? A young blonde waitress served us, she talked too much but she could have sold more. The food was great and delicious.

We have been coming to Inzell for years (30) in different seasons and Gasthof Kienberg is one of the places where we often eat, sometimes sleep and even celebrate New Year's Eve. Conveniently located in the center of the village. Excellent hotel rooms, wonderful beds, extensive breakfast buffet. Food for dinner and lunch is delicious, value for money. Enough choice and you can also order smaller portions for a small eater. And we think the salad buffet, which accompanies most dishes, is perfect. This way you can choose what kind of salad you want, plenty of choice and freshly prepared. Friendly staff and hard working. Sometimes there are peak times (where there aren't) but hey, we're on holiday when we're here. In short, we will continue to come in the coming years. We were not accommodated, but we had dinner twice, the service is unrivaled, the food is also from a chef from Slovakia and the environment is very family friendly. Der gik lang tid inden der kom en og tog vores bestilling og da jeg fik mit spurgte betjeningen hvad det var fruen skulle have, så der gik lidt tid inden fruens ret kom, heldigvis fik jeg en senior portion, så jeg ikke skulle spise mere af en schnitzel banket så flad og stegt så den kunne bruges som skosål, fruens ret var ok, dog også her var kødet til den mere seje side. Alt i alt ikke den bedste oplevelse, det føles som om der er alt for travlt til det personaler der er

We had dinner here at the Gasthof Kienberg - discovered by chance during an evening walk through Inzell. Very well-attended, inviting restaurant with very friendly staff and a nice feel-good atmosphere. Large, tasty portions at fair prices! Very tasty and well presented to the eye. How To Customer Unfriendliness and How Do I Cheat My Customers: You reserve a table, then come to the restaurant and have to wait a long time for the waitress to come. Basically nobody knows what the left or right hand is doing. When you finally arrive at the place, you are given the menu. After you have decided what you want to drink and eat, you order. You were then allowed to help yourself to the salad buffet. We waited about 15 minutes for the 3 drinks. While we were waiting with the salad from the salad buffet on cutlery (there was none at the buffet) and our drinks, a second waitress came and wanted to give us the menu again and to know whether we had already ordered. At least the waitress had cutlery with her and left it at the table. When the food came and we started to eat, my father noticed that his meat was either raw from the inside or completely cooked through. When my father complained about this, the waitress recognized the problem, but instead of making my father a new grill plate, which should be obvious to a guest (if he complains legitimately), he was given the same plate that was complained about He went back and was held up again with the words: "We have now put the meat on the grill again." This is an absolute no-go in the catering industry, to give a guest the same plate that he complained about and gave back. My father rejected this unacceptable behavior! The waitress then asked him if he would like something else instead of the grilled plate. My father told her that he would like the same food as his wife The thing is that my father had to pay for the grilled plate instead of the food my mother had. My mother's food was €3 cheaper than the grilled plate. The reason why my father had to pay for the grilled plate was that my father wanted a larger one Portion would have been given (this was not ordered and we were not told beforehand). It should be said that none of us could have recognized the difference in portions between my mother's food and my father's. The behavior of the waitresses is absolutely outrageous and unacceptable! Basically, despite reserving the table, you wait a long time, you get raw meat, instead of a new plate with new food, you get the same food that you returned and then you get ripped off as a customer when you pay. One less restaurant in Inzell on the list.

Wir starteten heute unseren zweiten Anlauf um dort essen zu gehen. Gestern wurde das leider nix, da trotz Reservierung kein Platz war. Nach 20 Minuten Wartezeit sind wir gegangen. Heute hat es geklappt. Auf die Getränke mussten wir warten, meine Frau hatte ein naturtrübes Radler bestellt, als es kam sah es schon aus wie abgestanden, leider schmeckte es auch so. Also nochmal. Ich habe auch aufgrund eines Fotos in der Speisekarte mich für den Grillteller entschieden, da dieser dort reichhaltig garniert war. Leider war ein Stück Schweinefleisch noch halb roh, zwei andere Fleischstücke sehr lange gebraten, was beim Schneiden und kauen Mühe machte. Die im Bild dargestellten Garnituren fehlten gänzlich. Zudem war das Fleisch naturell, sprich nicht gewürzt. Ich habe das Essen reklamiert. Als der Teller nach kurzer Zeit wieder kam, konnte ich es nicht glauben. Das nicht durchgebratene Fleisch wurde nochmal auf den Grill gelegt, sagte uns die Bedienung, soh sah es auch jetzt aus, der Rest war das alte harte Fleisch, inkl. der alten Pommes. Über das Fleisch und die Zwiebeln, die auf dem Fleisch waren, wurde ein Grillgewürz geschüttet, fast wie eine Pamade, Hauptsache es war jetzt gewürzt, unglaublich wie das aussah. Ich erklärte freundlich, dass ich das nicht essen möchte, was man nicht gerade wohlwollend aufnahm aber ich bekam ein Ersatzessen. Beim Bezahlen haben wir zunächst übersehen, dass nicht das Ersatzessen verrechnet wurde, sondern der teurere Grillteller. Bei der Reklamation sagte man dann, dass die Portion ja auch größer gewesen sei und deswegen der höhere Preis gerechtfertigt wäre. Unglaublich, was für ein Laden und das am zweiten Urlaubstag. Wieder was dazugelernt. Ich bin jetzt zum 25 mal in Inzell, erste mal seid langem wieder in diesem Gasthaus gewesen, sowas ist uns noch nie passiert. Unsere Vermieter haben darüber auch nur mit dem Kopf geschüttelt.

It was a disappointment. Hofbräuhaus and no Bavarian specialties.... No meat loaf, no white sausages. But steaks, schnitzels... It would be like being at the sea and there would be no fish. Got up and left...not recommended.
