Hotel Dresel has always been a well-known name, I started my cooking apprenticeship in this house in 1960, the boss at the time, Mr. Isken, was a good and a great teacher and the head chef at the time, Mr. Olivier, too. I learned a lot there and did my job with flying colors Written and practical exams passed, some of the dishes from back then are still there, I can highly recommend this restaurant!!!

Room spacious. We put a room facing the street. You can hardly hear the traffic. There are also external blinds that reduce the noise level at night. Bathroom quite large and modern. There is air conditioning in the room and it cools down well. Service is very friendly and competent. The catering area is modern.

The four of us came here for the first time for summer brunch. The selection and the taste are simply great. We felt very comfortable. It was very delicious. The service is very nice, attentive and child-friendly. We are already looking forward to the next time. Thank you for the lovely day. 🍀

Sehr gepflegtes Ambiente, schöne Lage (zumindest zum Fluss Volme nach hinten), freundliches Servicepersonal, gepflegte Tischkultur. Das Essen ist gut, wenngleich Luft nach Oben ist. ( meine Ansprüche sind aber relativ hoch, meine Freunde und Bekannten würden es durchweg als sehr gut einstufen) Drei Premium Biere im Anstich, leider schlecht gezapft. Der offene Rotwein war sehr gut.

I had reserved a table in advance for dinner on the occasion of my birthday. We got a beautifully decorated table. The service was great as always, very attentive and extremely friendly The food (starter, main course, dessert) was simply great. The meat on point. Simply delicious and in a great atmosphere we had a lovely evening. It was a celebration - thank you very much for that.

Food and service were great! Really excellent and recommended! Despite the renovated bathroom, the rooms are already getting a bit old. There were still some limescale stains in the bathroom and there was a huge black spider in my room. The beds were rather hard but okay, I slept well. There was also a roller shutter, which I think is important.

Finally visiting a great restaurant again. We've been waiting a long time for the moment to finally be able to dine here again and we weren't disappointed. No questions were asked, nor were these drinks brought to the table. There should be two dishes to choose from (standard and vegetarian). At the beginning (ordering the starter) we were asked who was vegetarian. The people then came forward. The entire company was not aware that this was already the question for the main course as to who would like to order the vegetarian dish. So the starter was served and without asking again the main course came, only with the number of vegetarians at the table. However, “non-vegetarians” also wanted to order the vegetarian dish. One of them was the bride! It was then pointed out that this had not been discussed or planned. Mistakes can happen, but we found it rude that the service staff then started to argue. It did not correspond to the previously known standard of service in this restaurant Unfortunately, a gluten-free dish was also forgotten and the person had to wait for some time without a dish Because of this, we can no longer give it five stars and are not sure whether we want to give the restaurant another chance

We were invited to a company event. Nice location for that, you could stay inside and outside. The situation was a bit unfortunate but otherwise everything was good. Big praise to the restaurant. The food and service was excellent. We didn't like the hotel room that much, it was all a bit old.

It's all about the restaurant! A very nice location. Different and very nicely designed rooms await you here. We were in the winter garden. Very chic, very bright. The service is friendly, attentive and quick. The dishes were all extremely good and very tasty. Everything is a bit more expensive but definitely within the framework. The only thing that needs some work is the hollandaise. It was too runny, but still tasted delicious. The steaks were cooked according to the level of doneness ordered. Top! We would definitely like to come back.

All in all a successful visit. The quality of the food was very good and so was the selection of drinks. The only negative thing was that no "last round" was announced and we had nothing to drink shortly before 11. Even after asking twice, we were refused a last drink with the statement: We're not serving any more, it's almost closing time now. This spoiled our visit a little. Still definitely recommendable in terms of quality.

At a family celebration I was once again able to enjoy the excellent food and the exceptionally good service at the Hotel Dresel. My very first address for celebrations for many years.

As every year, we spent our wedding anniversary and evening here. The food was, as always, perfect and the service was of course very friendly. If you want to spend a special evening in Hagen, then Dresel is highly recommended.

We ate in the restaurant on my husband's birthday evening. Unfortunately we weren't happy this time. The fried potatoes were soggy, the meat was very dry... The service staff walked past our table several times without asking about drinks or clearing the plates.

We were lucky enough to celebrate our wedding at Hotel Dresel and it was an all-round perfect experience. The rooms received top marks from all guests for their comfort and amenities. The food was exceptional and exceeded all of our expectations. We would particularly like to emphasize the uncomplicated planning and the excellent advice, which contributed significantly to the success of our special day. A big thank you to the whole team at Hotel Dresel for an unforgettable celebration!🥳

Excellent gastronomy, both in terms of the very tasty food, as well as the courteous service and chic ambience on the ground floor! The hotel room area is clean and well-kept, but unfortunately some of it is clearly showing its age - there is a clear difference in standard to the catering industry. The plus point here is the tasty breakfast with a relatively small but good selection at the buffet.

During my visit to the restaurant, I tried the vegan “Sweet & Spicy Udon Vegetable Noodles”. Unfortunately for me the dish was just average. It seemed more like a combination of ready-made products than a freshly prepared dish. Despite the mediocre quality, I found the price of the dish to be quite high. Fortunately, the vegan “Cherry Cookie & Vanilla” dessert was able to lift my mood a bit. This was really tasty. A big plus point was the service. The staff were very accommodating and made sure we didn't lack anything, especially when it came to drinks. The ambience of the restaurant, especially the winter garden, was cozy and harmonious. However, as a vegan, I have to say that the restaurant didn't quite live up to my expectations. Although a vegan dish is offered, the dish seemed like it was born out of necessity. To be fair, I wouldn't have visited this restaurant if I was vegan. He was just invited to dinner with colleagues.

A visit is always worthwhile. Very friendly welcome, service is very attentive, delicious food, cozy atmosphere. We really enjoy eating there.

Christmas buffet on December 25th, 2023 - The food and service were really excellent, the prices quoted were reasonable for what was on offer. What is completely incomprehensible to me, however, is why the coffee tastes like a fully automatic machine and why you don't invest in a portafilter machine.

Das Essen ist super, sehr hochwertig, der Service sehr gut und das Ambiente sehr angenehm. Da gehen wir wieder hin... Es ist aber eher etwas teurer. Das ist es aber wert! So ab 22 Uhr fängt man an darauf zu drängen, das man geht, da um 22.30 Uhr das Licht aus geht; nicht im übertragenen Sinne, sondern tatsächlich!

Weihnachtsfeier von der Firma 😉 Sehr lecker das Essen. Einzige negative fand ich das die Brötchen die wir dabei hatten viel zu hart waren . Ansonsten alles top 👌 Nächstes Jahr wieder 😊

Sehr schönes Ambiente und super Service

Klassischer Hotel und Restaurantbetrieb. Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Die Küche ist auch sehr gut. Man merkt dem Hotel die Jahre an, aber das macht andererseits auch den Charme des Betriebs aus.

Wie immer👍 schon ein sehr freundlicher Empfang der sich über die Bedienung im Restaurant fortsetzt 😁😁. Das Essen ist sehr gut und wir kommen gerne wieder, besonders bei dem Nachtisch 😃😃

Ein Besuch im Restaurant Dresel Ist für uns immer ein kleiner „Urlaubstag“. Besonders schön ist die Sonnenterrasse zu den Abendstunden und der wunderschöne Wintergarten. Wir freuen uns schon Tage vorher auf das „Dresel-Krüstchen“ oder die „Dresel-Pfanne“. Auch wenn wir schon satt sind muss es immer noch ein leckerer Nachtisch sein. Unser absolutes Lieblingsrestaurant- nicht zuletzt wegen dem tollen Service und der sympathischen Eigentümerin! Immer wieder Dresel!!!

Die Konfirmationsfeier war sehr schön. Das Essen (kompl. vegetarisch) perfekt. Der Service sehr gut und sehr freundlich. Zur Übernachtung kann ich nichts sagen, deshalb konnte ich diese Kategorien nicht bewerten.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal im Dresel da wir einen Gutschein für ein 4 Gänge Menü hatten. Geschmacklich muss man sagen war es ok aber ich habe mehr erwartet. Leider befand sich in 2 Gängen von mir einmal eine Fliege und bei dem anderen Gang ein Haar im Nachtisch….. lecker 👍 Ich habe den Kellner dezent drauf hingewiesen das dass so nicht richtig sei. Dieser entschuldigte sich und ging natürlich mit den Resten. Als wir wir die Getränke bezahlen wollten, kam die Dame mit der Rechnung ohne dabei zu berücksichtigen das Haare und eine Fliege im Essen wahr. Ich hätte wenigstens verlangt das Sie mir den Kaffee aufs Haus geben ….. falsch gedacht! Die Rechnung belief sich auf 40,00€ was für die Getränke in Ordnung war. Was noch zu beachten ist das wir keine richtige Rechnung bekommen haben sondern nur eine Proforma Rechnung ….. naja was soll man dazu sagen ….. kann sich jeder seinen Teil denken. Das ist auf jeden Fall mein letzter Besuch. Hätte ich das alles regulär bezahlen müssen hätte ich einen Aufstand gemacht.

Das Dresel ist eigentlich (war) über lange Jahre die Adresse in Hagen, wenn man am Karfreitag Fisch essen wollte. Wir gehen da seit ca. 20 Jahren am Karfreitag mit der gesamten Familie hin. Um so enttäuschender: Es gab dieses Jahr keine Fischkarte oder -empfehlung. Lediglich 2 Fischgerichte von der Standardkarte, Lachs und Zander. Der Zander war gut, der Lachs völlig durch und trocken und schwebte auf einer Soße, die eher einer Mehlschwitze nach Oma's Art war, dick und plempig . Wir haben vorher reserviert für 17 Personen. Von eiem Dreigang-Menu konnte das Dresel ausgehen. In den letzten Jahren haben wir dann immer einen Gruß aus der Küche bekommen. Dieses Jahr haben wir lediglich einen Brotkorb mit sehr spartanischem zweierleich von Butter bekommen. Das Servicepersonal war sehr ferundlich und aufmerksam. Bei allem Verständnis für Fachkräftemangel und sonstigen Problemen in der Gastronomie: Das passt alles nicht zu den deutlich angehobenen Preisen.

Kreative und moderne vegetarische Gerichte bester Qualität, aber auch sehr gut zubereitete Klassiker, freundliches Personal, sehr empfehlenswert.

Tolles Ambiente, individuelle Wünsche sind kein Problem, super Preis-Leistung. Verschiedene Restaurants mit unterschiedlichen Stilrichtungen. Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet.

Waren mit Geschäftspartnern dort zum Essen. Die Speisekarte wurde nach der Flut etwas überarbeiten- was nicht schlecht ist. Hatte ein Steak mit extra Süßkartoffelpommes. Das Fleisch war auf den Punkt und Pommes schmeckten auch sehr lecker. Einziger Wermutstropfen- die Bedingungen war sehr ungeschickt und nicht für so ein Niveau ausgebildet!
