Hotel National in Bad Düben

A very charming little hotel in Bad Düben. The room was well-maintained and clean. We had a shower, not a bathtub. The rooms are not soundproof; if you have a loud snorer next door, you'll hear them. The absolute highlight is the breakfast buffet. A nice selection and delicious coffee. The restaurant is also highly recommended. Large portions for a fair price.

Everything was perfect for our senior hiking group: one accessible room, one dog was allowed, a separate room and bowling alley were available, and the service was friendly. It was also reasonably priced and close to the well-maintained town center. The food selection was good. We would gladly recommend it.

The room was clean and spacious, we received a small bottle of water as a welcome gift (a kettle would have been nice). It was centrally located, everything was within walking distance, and there were plenty of parking spaces. The restaurant served good, home-style food. Breakfast was adequate, but unfortunately, the fruit and vegetables weren't replenished. Plus, there's a bowling alley in the basement! We had a lovely short trip to a family reunion.

German cuisine! Incredibly delicious...super friendly staff!!! Parking is available on site and there's a public parking lot right next door. In the heart of the beautiful town of Bad Düben, everything is easily accessible on foot. Whether you're looking for shopping, enjoying the tranquility of the spa gardens, or exploring the many sights of this charming little spa town...everything is within easy walking distance. The young team puts in so much effort and always has a smile on their faces...hats off. Keep up the good work!!! We'd love to come back and are already looking forward to it.

This time, the price-performance ratio wasn't good at all. The room floor wasn't really clean. The "built-in refrigerator" was covered with simple, untreated wood with an air gap – it looked like a botched job, unsightly. The bathroom was in need of renovation – a crack in the sink, a stiff faucet, and loose grout tiles. Breakfast was OK for a simple guesthouse! In a hotel with international guests, you'd expect that there would also be cold cuts made from poultry and lactose-free milk, and that only one type of roll was not a pre-baked roll. Another negative was that the reception was rarely staffed and not particularly fluent in German. So, with the current owner, the National (i.e., only the rooms) is comparable to a guesthouse or worker's apartment. The name "hotel" is undeserved.

We were invited to a ceremony at St. Nicholas Church yesterday and then had lunch at your establishment. The table for 5 people had been reserved, and the occasion was also known. Since I used to work in the restaurant industry myself, I naturally expected a festively set table (even for just 5 people). However, that wasn't the case; we were allowed to choose our own table at the counter in the dining room. Unfortunately, we ended up with the one in the corner, which had been cleared but unfortunately hadn't been wiped down, so it was sticky. The staff was friendly, but we were still appalled. Unkempt fingernails, dirty jeans—no, that's not how you behave in front of guests. It goes without saying that empty plates are cleared away, but empty glasses and bottles are also taken away before the guests have paid and left—a no-go. Two points go to the kitchen; the food was good.

We hosted our birthday guests at this hotel last weekend. We can't comment on the rooms because we didn't stay there. The biggest flaw is the reception. Very few people were staffed. If it was, it was difficult to communicate. If it wasn't, a sign indicates that you should contact the service staff in the restaurant. With all due respect and understanding regarding staffing shortages, there needs to be a contact person at the heart of a hotel, namely the reception. I'm a truly patient person, but even I get impatient when a rebooking or cancellation takes 35 minutes due to communication. Nevertheless, I wish the operator many guests.

This owner-managed establishment has a great team and a wonderfully traditional ambiance. The interior is cozy and superbly equipped. The various guest rooms offer space for celebrations of all types and sizes. Despite its central location, there is ample parking and it is surprisingly quiet.

My wife and I had lunch in the hotel's outdoor area today, July 11, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. We were served by a very nice young woman who treated us with a kindness and care that is rare these days. The food was delicious and served quickly. And even though I always have special requests when it comes to food, they were fulfilled. So, all in all, it was another fantastic experience, and I highly commend the friendly service staff. Best wishes until next time. We give it a 200% recommendation.

We stayed at the Hotel National with family and friends. The rooms were tastefully decorated and very clean! Breakfast was varied and plentiful. We also hosted a family celebration in the adjacent restaurant. The food was truly excellent, the service very friendly, and the value for money was really good. Highly recommended!

Parking available, it's just a small hotel, with old and new charm, not too big and not too small, and OK for one or two nights, nice, friendly staff, clean, tidy at first glance. And no one goes hungry either.

Nice little hotel. We found the room to be clean, a small kettle would have been nice. The food in the restaurant was great, the staff was super friendly and open-minded despite two big celebrations. Despite being fully booked, we reserved a table for later in the evening.

Was in the hotel for a weekend. The location was great. The reception was not staffed when we attended. You had to ask until someone came. Rooms were fine and clean. But need attention here and there. The breakfast was ok. Overall it was fine for 1 weekend. For the price I would come here again

Wir wurden nicht freundlich empfangen. Die Mittagszeit beträgt 2 Stunden von 12:00 bis 14:00 Uhr. Kurz vor 13 Uhr war die Begrüßung mehr als kurz und ohne Reservierung für 3 Personen war keinerlei Bemühungen zu erkennen uns als Gast zu bekommen obwohl Platz da wäre. Sorry aber alles echt ein "no go" !

We were not greeted warmly. Lunch time is 2 hours from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Shortly before 1 p.m. the welcome was more than brief and without a reservation for 3 people there was no apparent effort to get us as guests, even though there was space. Sorry but everything is really a “no go”!

Everything you need. Good night spent. Unfortunately there was no hot water for showering.

The rooms have been modernized, unfortunately the lighting concept is questionable. In addition, there was only one chair for 2 PEOPLE. The breakfast service leaves a lot to be desired. You're still sitting at the table and the table is already being cleared away. The buffet was ok so far, but the freshness of the salmon, for example, was unfortunately very poor. You can also work on the atmosphere of the room.

Price/performance very good, rooms of sufficient size, small beds but sufficient. Breakfast was delicious, but since everyone came to eat at 9 a.m., the service was sometimes overloaded and therefore there wasn't enough of a coffee machine...

Very nice service, quick and attentive.

We only had lunch on site. It was freshly prepared and tasted good to us. We didn't like the fact that staff or their acquaintances smoked at a table next to us, even if it was outside, so the cigarette smoke also drifted to neighboring tables.

We were traveling by bike and spontaneously got a room and there was also a lockable container for the bikes. The personnel was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and good (the scrambled eggs were particularly tasty). We were very satisfied.

We stayed at the hotel for five nights and were extremely satisfied. Our room was very modern and very comfortable. The hotel seemed very clean and tidy. Reception, kitchen and cleaning staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was also a breakfast buffet which was very plentiful. Parking spaces are available in the courtyard and behind the hotel. We'll definitely be back!🫶

We stayed here for one night and found it to be very good value for money. Quiet location, furnishings a bit older, but the room was clean and tidy, staff was very nice and breakfast was included in the offer. The visit to the associated restaurant in the evening was also very great.

I can't say anything about the rooms and the associated service, I was only there to eat. Unfortunately 4 minutes late, I wanted to eat asparagus, which was only available until 2 p.m. and then again from 5 p.m. I was there at 2:04 p.m. Given the service, I had the impression that I wasn't really welcome as another guest in the open beer garden. After ordering drinks and food, the food arrived, followed by my drink after another few minutes. A pity

Nice family-run hotel with a sumptuous breakfast.

The hotel was a bit run down. We got severe back pain from the bed and the location is a bit unfavorable as we were kept awake by the noisy neighbors until around 4am. The bathroom door was partially broken and there was not enough light in the room. The breakfast was sufficient and filling, but there was not enough space. Overall our stay was acceptable, price/performance was probably okay.

Complicated booking for several rooms (complete chaos), breakfast not satisfactory: coffee took far too long, not enough rolls available, limited offer. The price-performance ratio is not right here.

Mein Zimmer war sauber und das Bett wirklich bequem. Das Personal war zuvorkommend und kümmerten sich super damit wir uns hier wohlfühlen. Gerne wieder

Schöne Location im Ortskern. Freundliches und junges Personal. Gut ausgestattete Zimmer. Super Frühstücksbuffet! Restaurant gleich gegenüber (10 Meter). Auch zu empfehlen...Der Grieche im Kurhaus ca. 10 Fußminuten entfernt. Mehrfach hier auf Arbeitswegen und immer zufrieden!

Zunächst erst einmal etwas Positives: Das Personal ist durchweg sehr freundlich und im Innenbereich ist alles sehr sauber. Leider habe ich über den Rest keine guten Erinnerungen. Das Hotel wirkt bis auf die Möbel und Boden im Zimmer sehr abgelebt. Im Hotel wird gerade die Küche umgebaut, dadurch ist alles improvisiert. Da hätte man eine Info herausgeben sollen. So waren die Sauna und der Fitnessraum nicht verfügbar. Ich hatte mich darauf gefreut die Sauna zu nutzen und bin deshalb unsagbar enttäuscht. Die Kegelbahn kann man zwar mieten, aber die Technik funktioniert nicht mehr. Die Feuerschutztüren werden durch Keile offen gehalten, die Zimmertüren sind sehr hellhörig, so dass man nicht schlafen kann, wenn sich jemand im Gang unterhält. Die Badeinrichtung ist minimal 20 Jahre. Die Lüfter hängen schräg von der Decke und rattern wie wenn ein Hubschrauber abhebt. Das Frühstück für 12€ mutet eher nach Jugendherberge als nach 3-Sterne-Hotel an. Kein frisches aufgeschnittenes Obst oder Gemüse (nur als Deko auf der Wurst), kein Joghurt (außer einige Becher Süßkram), kein Quark, kein Frischkäse, kein Salat in irgend einer Form. Käse gab es 2 Sorten auf der Wurstplatte, Wurst war ausreichend. Für Vegetarier war die Auswahl verheerend. Orangensaft und kaltes Wasser waren zur freien Verfügung, alle anderen Getränke gab es auf Zuteilung aus einem Automaten der schon mal 20 Minuten gespült hat und es eben da nichts zu Trinken gab. 2 Sorten Industrie-Brötchen und manchmal Croissants. Kein Brot, kein Knäcke...Wenn die dunklen Brötchen alle waren, gab es eben nur noch helle. Das Best war noch das Rührei. Der Außenbereich hat mich erschreckt. Über Tage überquellende Müllkörbe, leere Flaschen, altes Laub. Der Blick aus unserem Fenster war auf einen alten Reifen und Schrott. Da geht noch was. Sehr ungewöhnlich ist die vollständige Bezahlung bei Anreise. Das Hotel hat auf jeden Fall Potential, wenn eine grundhafte Sanierung stattfindet und man sich um den Außenbereich bemüht.

Mit Abstand das beste Hotel und Restaurant in ganz Bad Düben. Sehr freundliches zuvorkommendes Personal. Wunderbares Restaurant mit sehr feinem Essen. Als alleinreisender Mann fehlt es an überhaupt nichts, jeder Wunsch wird zeitnah vom Personal erfüllt. Eigentlich müsste es mindestens 10 Sterne für dieses tolle Traumhotel geben. Wir haben ein verlängertes Wochenende im Hotel verbracht und waren sehr zufrieden. Das Hotel ist gut angebunden. Die Zimmer waren sauber und geräumig. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr lecker. Wir können das Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Haben hier eine Familie Feier veranstaltet. Super Essen und ein gutes Preis - Leistungsverhältnis. Lockeres Ambiente und der Flammenlachs einfach toll.

Guten Abend, 1. an der Rezeption hatte man den Einduck lästig und geduldet zu sein 2. Die Bezahlung der Zimmer musste noch vor dem Bezug entrichtet werden 3. altes Mobilar, aber alles sauber 4. Restaurant bemüht, aber beim Frühstück überfordert (nur weiße Brötchen, Wurst aus der Verpackung) 5. riesige Spinnweben an den Laternen vorm Lokaleingang & Fensterbretter schmutzig Alles in Allem nicht ratsam, wenn man kein Handwerker auf der Durchfahrt ist

Das Essen war spitze. Der Service leider nicht. Wir mussten nach dem Besteck fragen, als das Essen bereits am Tisch war. Die Kellnerin war leider nicht mehr als nur Dienstfreundlich. Eher unfreundlich. Hatte wenig Lust. Die Preise sind etwas heftig. DDR Charme ist geblieben.

Sehr sauberes, gepflegtes Zimmer. Alles vorhanden was man für ein entspanntes Wochenende benötigt. Auch das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Mein Assistenzhund wurde freundlich begrüßt und war willkommen. Das Frühstück ist üppig und man hat die Möglichkeit auch schon sehr früh zu Frühstücken. Ich musste auf dieses Hotel ausweichen und werde mit Sicherheit auch das nächste mal hierher kommen.

Lovely place and great owners! The staff was very kind and helpful, the rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was delicious! The staff did lots of lovely things to make our stay great! Very close to the bus stop which made it simple to go to Leipzig for the day. We enjoyed our stay!

Unterkunft und Essen waren gut. Die Zimmer sind nicht auf den neusten Stand. Ein wenig eng und leider nicht klimatisiert. Wichtig, sie waren sauber und ansonsten im guten Zustand. Aber das Team war höflich und sehr zuvorkommend.

Man ist dort sehr bemüht um den Gast. Aufmerksame Bedienungen, ordentliches bürgerliches Essen und gepflegte Getränke. Sehr gute Parkmöglichkeiten. Zimmer eher etwas abgewohnt und in die Jahre gekommen. Nach hinten raus sehr ruhig.

Sehr schönes familiäres Hotel . Die Zimmer sind etwas altbacken, aber super sauber. Der Service ist freundlich und herzlich . Das Essen ist bodenständig gut mit frischen Zutaten und die Köche verstehen ihr Handwerk. Preis Leistungs Verhältnis ist sehr gut. Ich komme wieder 👍🏻

Wir wurden nett empfangen und haben lecker gegessen. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist vollkommen in Ordnung.

Wurden weder freundlich begrüßt, noch anders zur Kenntnis genommen. Der Spruch an der Tür‘ Ein lieber Gast ist niemals Last‘ erscheint wie Hohn. Der Tisch wurde lange nicht abgeräumt, die Speisekarte nicht gereicht. Nach mehrmaliger Nachfrage wurde unfreundlich geantwortet, dass es regnen könnte, drinnen seien genug Tische frei und er würde ganz sicher nicht durch den Regen laufen. Wir sind dann gegangen, kommen sicher nie wieder und werden jedem von einem Besuch abraten.

Sehr gutes Essen, freundliche Bedienung, sehr empfehlenswert für alle, die auf gutes deutsche Küche stehen.

...und gemütlich. Gleich am Hotel befindet sich ein großes Restaurant. Die Mitarbeiter strahlen eine Freundlichkeit aus, wie man es sich allerorten wünscht. Ganz klare Empfehlung für Essen und Übernachten.
