We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Knoblauch. Dinner was absolutely fantastic; we've never eaten so well! The staff is incredibly friendly and very dedicated. Breakfast is plentiful and everything is fresh. The entire property is beautifully designed, and the evening bonfire in the courtyard with mulled wine and campfire bread is a great idea. The massage was also a highlight, as was the room. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this hotel! Many thanks to the entire team!

We just spent a week there. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel is also involved in social projects. For example, if you forgo room cleaning on a given day, you can either spend €3 on food or donate it. We did that. They're also currently running a special event called "Glühweihnacht" (Mulled Christmas). In the evenings, you can gather around fire pits and patio heaters with other guests to enjoy mulled wine and roast bread on sticks while listening to Christmas music. The attention to detail in the decorations is evident, especially during the Christmas season. I can't say much about the sauna, as we didn't use it. The service at reception, in the restaurant, at breakfast, and housekeeping was outstanding. Parking costs €5 per day. I find that a bit odd, but that's how it is. It's a 4-star hotel and therefore a bit pricey. The price is right, though. It was a truly wonderful vacation, and Hotel Knoblauch contributed greatly to that.

A lovely two-day stay. The staff was friendly and attentive. Both dinners were truly excellent! A heartfelt thank you to the friendly young waiter with glasses, who was extremely attentive and courteous! The spa area wasn't top-notch in our opinion. The outdoor sauna was sometimes over 100 degrees Celsius, so it was unusable without first airing it out for 10 minutes (while standing outside in the cold). The sanarium was set to 60°C (it was supposed to be set from 2:00 PM, but was still at 27°C at 2:30 PM). The bathing pond is a nice idea. However, the swimming pool with its integrated little whirlpool was simply too cold for us to just sit in. It was okay for swimming, though. Overall, though, it was good value for money and perfectly fine for two days.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was very satisfied overall. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly, and the atmosphere really pleasant. One minor drawback, however, was the spa/pool area: For the current temperatures, the water was unfortunately a bit too cold. As a result, I only went in once because I got cold quickly. Otherwise, it was a lovely stay – with slightly warmer water, it would have been perfect.

Hello everyone! I only stayed at the Hotel Knoblauch for two nights, but they were absolutely fantastic in every respect! Free parking, and plenty of parking spaces. It's located near the Friedrichshafen trade fair (which was the reason for my visit). Upon request, as some trade fair organizers book the hotel, breakfast is served earlier! The staff was extremely friendly, whether at reception, at breakfast, or in the evening at dinner... everyone was courteous and very friendly! Room: I/we stayed in the "Garden House," which is just a name. It's integrated into the hotel complex. Each floor has a small balcony for smokers, accessible from the hallway. (I didn't have to go downstairs to smoke.) I never heard any noise from the neighboring rooms. The "Garden House" also has an elevator. The room itself was very attractive and modern, and extremely clean (kudos to the cleaning staff!). Plenty of storage space (large wardrobe, including a safe) and two very comfortable armchairs. You can darken the room with blinds (and make it completely dark if needed). I didn't use the wellness area and can't comment on that. But I imagine it's the same there. Location: As mentioned, the trade fair (which I visited) is easily accessible in 8 minutes, depending on traffic. 5 stars in every respect

The three of us stayed in a family room in the garden house; two previously reserved double rooms were easily rebooked before our arrival. We experienced excellent service and customer friendliness throughout our entire stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the spa area, and both the evening meals in the restaurant and the breakfast were outstanding.

From check-in to departure, we felt very comfortable here. A very nice hotel with an attractive spa area. The staff were very friendly, whether at reception, in the restaurant, or housekeeping.

It was lovely as always, the service was excellent, and the food was superb. We'll be back to beautiful Lake Constance.

The location is a bit outside of Friedrichshafen, but Lake Constance is quickly accessible by car or public transport. I would stay here again anytime.

A very attractive hotel with an extensive wellness offering, well-equipped rooms, and extremely competent and friendly staff. The breakfast buffet isn't huge, but it's of good quality, especially the baked goods and homemade items (apple compote, plum jam). You definitely feel at home here and can recommend it without hesitation.

I stayed at the hotel for three days with my friends and felt very comfortable from the very first moment. The staff was always extremely friendly, and the food was excellent. My room was a good size and very clean. I can't say much about the spa area, as I hardly used it at all. We spent most of our time in the restaurant, where the feel-good factor was particularly high. The many employees also contributed to the overall positive impression with their attentive service.

Very tidy rooms. Very good food. Located on the outskirts of town, but with good bus connections to the city center.

We were extremely satisfied! It started with check-in, where we were IMMEDIATELY offered a disabled parking space; my wife has difficulty walking due to MS. It continued with a great room, large and clean, and the icing on the cake is the kitchen, which makes many things from scratch. The food and breakfast are incredibly delicious! The stay was rounded out with many little touches; no wish was left unfulfilled. We will definitely be back. Thank you very much.

Very well-maintained facilities. We had a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the garden. The sauna area with the natural swimming lake is something truly special. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and never lost their composure even though the hotel was fully booked. The restaurant is highly recommended.

We stayed at the Americana trade fair in an accessible room. Everything was simply fantastic. The staff, the food, the room, and the location for all the activities. We've been there twice now and will definitely be back.

We can warmly recommend the Hotel Knoblauch to everyone

We stayed here for four days and it was very relaxing. Lake Constance is relatively far away but can be reached in about 10 minutes by bus from the door. But if you just want to relax for two or three days, you don't have to leave the hotel. There's an indoor pool with showers and a large changing room. An outdoor pool (natural pond) and various saunas, as well as a sunbathing lawn and a coffee bar where you can sit comfortably. There's also a fitness room and a yoga room with classes and the option of a massage (we didn't use them). Each of us had a bag with a bathrobe and towels for the spa area. There was a soda machine so you always had plenty to drink with you or in your room. We booked half board and received a super-varied breakfast and a three-course dinner that we could choose from the à la carte menu. The restaurant is open to everyone (there was also a "regular" menu for restaurant guests, which was a bit larger) and also caters to vegetarians and vegans (not too many). We felt very comfortable and were able to relax. There is parking there, which costs an additional €5 per day.

The room was modern, clean, and equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. I particularly like the comfortable bed and the peaceful atmosphere – perfect for relaxation. The breakfast was also excellent: a wide selection, freshly prepared, and high-quality. The hotel's central location also made it easy to explore the surrounding area. Overall, a great experience – I will definitely be back and can wholeheartedly recommend the hotel!

Great hotel! The spa area with its natural pool, swimming pool, and bubble lounger is fantastic. The food (3 courses) is delicious, excellent value for money, and the breakfast buffet for just €7 is unbeatable. The rooms are modern and clean, and the free water from the tap is really convenient. The service is super friendly, and parking is perfectly acceptable for €5. Highly recommended!

A very nice facility with excellent staff who are always very accommodating. We would gladly return anytime! We had a wheelchair with us and were pleased to find that the accessible room was perfect.

The hotel is located "somewhat" away from the city center, but this is not a problem as you can get into town very quickly with the "Echt Bodensee Card" and the nearby bus stop.

Simply fantastic. We booked the culinary special for 3 days. We spontaneously extended our stay for another 2 days, which was no problem; we were very pleased. Everything was top-notch, the food was simply delicious and beautifully presented. Breakfast was very varied and had a large selection. Everything was regional or homemade. Staff was friendly and knew what they were doing. Rooms were very modern and beautifully furnished. It's great that they also value energy and ecological sustainability.

A very successful extension to the long-established hotel. The dining room, indoor pool, and coffee corner are all modern and inviting. The hotel prioritizes sustainability. The breakfast is plentiful, and the dinner (à la carte) is delicious. The staff is very friendly. Conclusion: We'd go back anytime!

We stayed at Hotel Knoblauch for four days. The hotel is located 2km from the town center, which is easily walkable. The breakfast was excellent. For a four-star hotel, we did miss a few amenities: a refrigerator in the room. Air conditioning! It was incredibly hot in the room. There was little space in the bathroom for storing things. The reception and staff were very friendly.

The spa area also offered a wide range of options. The candlelight dinner was beautifully decorated, and the food was truly delicious. The hotel and everything that goes with it is superbly maintained. The staff is super friendly. We particularly liked the outdoor natural pool, as well as the indoor pool; it was also very well maintained and had a bubble lounger, which was a pleasant surprise for us. The breakfast and the selection are amazing; everything is fresh and locally sourced. And what was even more special for us were the restaurant visits. The food here was simply top-notch, super delicious, exceptionally great dishes. It must also be said that the side salad is amazing, and the dressing is a dream. A good wine selection, and the staff here is also super friendly. The hotel is almost perfect, the value for money is very good, and this won't be our last visit. A massage is, of course, highly recommended; we are completely satisfied! One small criticism: the silicone in the shower needs to be replaced. The outdoor area of the indoor pool needs to be cleaned. On the other hand, what can you do about the birds and their droppings? The staff probably can't keep up with cleaning.

Our favorite hotel on Lake Constance. Everything just fits perfectly here. The rooms in the new extension are comfortable, modern, and always pleasantly warm thanks to central ventilation, even in midsummer temperatures. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious, leaving nothing to be desired. The dinner menu offers an extensive selection of fresh and delicious dishes, served by consistently polite and attentive staff. The hotel offers much more (an indoor swimming pool and outdoor swimming pond), a garden with sun loungers, saunas, comfortable seating areas both indoors and outdoors, self-service snacks and drinks 24/7, and much more. We've already booked our regular room again for next year!

If I could, I would give it twice as many stars; my stay at the Hotel Knoblauch was simply fantastic. The room and bathroom were very nice and clean. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and definitely had something for everyone. The service also deserves high praise; always attentive, friendly, and flexible – putting together a table for a larger group? No problem at all, and the waiter even remembered what we'd been drinking the night before and was able to serve us right away 😃 That's what makes a hotel stay enjoyable; I'm already looking forward to the next time!

We spent three nights here. From the first impression, the hotel scored highly. There is ample parking, and the staff welcomed us very warmly. The rooms were very clean and modern. The food in the restaurant, while a bit more expensive, is very tasty, and the breakfast buffet offers a great selection and good coffee. The wellness area is pleasant, but not overwhelming. The hotel also scores points for its good location. With the Lake Constance card, which you can get on-site, you can take the bus. The stop is right next to the hotel parking lot, and the ride takes about 15 minutes (depending on the line). All in all, it was a great stay.

We stayed there for three days. The room (with stairs) was very large and perfect for working. The wellness area was clean and adequate. The breakfast was very fresh. We jogged from the hotel to the lake and were there in 20 minutes (quite leisurely and with lots of views). The route was great, so it's perfect for athletes. Our highlight, however, was the hotel's own restaurant. We ate here one evening because we didn't want to go back to the lake. I can only give it 10 out of 10. We had dishes from the monthly specials or the special menu because we love trying new things. I can only say it was very good, fresh ingredients, great food. The service was more than accommodating, so it's definitely worth an evening!

In the 20 years I've stayed at the Knoblauch during HAMRADIO, it has evolved from a charming country inn to a modern 4* wellness hotel. It's still very much a family-friendly place, and I feel right at home! <3 I'm already looking forward to the next time!

Didn't stay here, just came to eat. Food and service were both excellent. Price was reasonable too!

Positives: - Good and quiet location (15 minutes by bus to the harbor) - Bus stop right next to the hotel - Plenty of wellness options (sauna area, fitness, yoga, swimming pool, massages, etc.) - Very friendly, attentive staff, making you feel at home - Elevator and parking (€5 per night) available, some outdoor areas are covered - You can skip daily room service and instead receive a €3 discount in the restaurant or lounge Negatives/Suggestions for Improvement: - Compact room, but the bathroom is relatively small. The mirror is attached to the side of the closet, so it's hard to see into. - Warm in the room at night (curtains are translucent, so blinds are closed and ventilation is poor). A ceiling fan could cause dry mucous membranes. - Indoor pool available with enough space for swimming, unfortunately no options for aqua fitness, for example, although massages and even yoga are offered. - When using the sauna area, unfortunately, only one sauna (Finnish sauna at 85°C) was open. This might be too intense a start for inexperienced sauna users, but otherwise the sauna area is clean and has a good kitchenette. PS: Yes, the outside temperature was 27-32°C during our stay.

Incredible hosts. You leave feeling like you've been with friends.

Without a refrigerator, it's impossible! A fan provides some airflow, but it dries out the mucous membranes and doesn't cool things down (approx. 28°C at night). In hot weather, quilts aren't recommended—thin sheets are recommended instead. It's best to have both options, given the prices.

Located in a quiet neighbourhood, just 2 min away from the "highway". Rooms are modern, comfortable and very clean. Excellent restaurant offering creative dishes together with swabian classics. Local / fair / homemade products offered whenever possible. Yet prices are still absolutely fair. Opened every evening, very friendly and efficient service. Would definitely sleep and eat there again!

Due to illness overnight, a visit was impossible, and the cancellation deadline the night before couldn't be met. Unfortunately, no leniency was offered, even when rebooking for a different time. Rules are certainly necessary, but I would have appreciated a small concession, such as a voucher.

We booked the Hotel Knoblauch for a weekend trip from May 31st to June 2nd, 2025. What can I say? Unfortunately, it can't get more than 5 stars. The hotel deserves more. All the staff were very friendly and the service was first-class. The cleanliness was top-notch. The rooms and hotel facilities were excellent. Half-board included, allowing guests to put together their own 3-course menu. The food was absolutely delicious. The location is prime. You can leave the car behind; with the Lake Constance card you receive, you can take the bus anywhere for free. There's a bus stop right in front of the hotel. All in all, I can recommend this hotel without reservation. 👍 We'd love to come back.

I highly recommend this hotel! It has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. We had a new, very large, and modern room. The rooms of our fellow travelers (we had four in total) were also very nice. All the staff are extremely friendly, the breakfast is excellent, and everything is very clean. The location is quiet, right next to a bus stop, making it easy to get into Friedrichshafen. The route is also easily manageable on foot. We also had a delicious dinner there. The parking lot is huge, and it's quiet at night.

This was our third time here and, as always, we were thrilled. Beautiful rooms, excellent food, and a top-notch wellness area. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. The food prepared in the restaurant is also very good. All the staff are very friendly and attentive. The saunas and the swimming pool are excellent. There is a large parking lot. We have felt very comfortable here for years and always enjoy our time at the Knoblauch.

We chose the hotel because we had tickets for a trade fair event. We are completely satisfied with our stay, the staff is super nice and attentive. The rooms are clean and nothing is missing. You can take water carafes to your room for free. We even received free public transport tickets from the hotel for the entire stay. The food in the restaurant is regional, delicious and prepared with love. We are happy to recommend the hotel!

It has rarely happened to me that everything was perfect from A to Z during a hotel stay. That was the case at the Hotel Knoblauch. I recommend the hotel without reservation. A visit to the restaurant is also very worthwhile.

Went to the restaurant for dinner. Can only recommend this restaurant. It's a little more expensive! But! The food is very, very GOOD! The young lady on staff was very attentive but not intrusive. Overall, it was a successful evening.

The food is fine, only the Vitello Tonnato was marginal. Very clear for the price, veal perfect and tasty and tender, but the famous tuna cream was homeopathic little, very unfortunate. The chef is welcome to let me show him how to do it properly.

We spent our girls' weekend at the Hotel Knoblauch and were absolutely thrilled. The reception was very friendly, and we were absolutely delighted with the maisonette room. We immediately tried out the new swimming pool and the very attractive sauna area with a natural pond. Everything was fantastic. And in the evening, we had a very good meal in the hotel's restaurant and received courteous service. What can I say? It was a fantastic weekend at the Hotel Knoblauch, and we'll definitely be back.

We spent a lovely weekend at the hotel and were very satisfied. The price-performance ratio is great: clean, cozy room with a balcony, including access to the wellness area with sauna, pool and drinks. Everything was clean and tidy. Breakfast was also included in the price – rich and tasty. We would particularly like to praise the friendly staff. The location is also very practical - only about 15 minutes by bus to the center, the stop is right next to the hotel. A shopping center is also easily accessible on foot. We would like to stay longer and will definitely come back!

Never again... Fish for my wife on the first evening resulted in food poisoning. 2nd evening there was only soup. The price for half board was charged in full, even though it could not be used on the first evening. A lot of ready-made meals are cooked (ravioli, Swabian apple cuisine, chocolate souffle, soup garnish. I expect a lot more in a 4* hotel Service was mostly friendly, but the fish poisoning was skillfully ignored three times, which made everything positive forgotten. Quote from the waitress when we let the fish go back: "I can't do anything about the kitchen." That's clear to me, but an apology from the chef or the owners would have been at least. Room nice and clean but as others have already written, extremely over-perfumed and that hardly goes away even after 2 days of constant airing, which doesn't make staying in the room pleasant. Pool and sauna ok so far. Unfortunately, both are spatially far apart from each other. I found out in the bill that the parking space costs €5 per night. There would have been enough space on the direct side street. Location is ok, you can quickly get to the center by bus, and you can get to the trade fair in 7 minutes by car.

It would have been a nice stay, but unfortunately the room smelled so strongly of sewage. No other room in the same category was available, and no real discount was available. They were quite inflexible, but they did give us some air freshener. A real shame. Therefore, unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it.

Well, the bathroom in the double room is at most equivalent to a single room. When you sit on the toilet, which is also in the bathroom, you bump into things everywhere. Absolutely not suitable for people with a bit of a firmer frame. The beds are extremely hard. Neither of us slept a wink. Plus, we were sore the next day. What was good was the breakfast.
