Hörnsheimer Eck in Wetzlar

We ate there for the first time and were absolutely thrilled. The fish (sea bass fillet & sole fillet), as well as the side dishes, tasted fantastic. The service was very friendly and attentive. Nice ambiance on the small, newly built outdoor terrace. The price-performance ratio is definitely reasonable and justified for this quality and by no means excessive! We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back again! Highly recommended!

Unexpectedly good fish restaurant far inland.

We ate there yesterday. We ordered a fish platter with a variety of choices. It was fantastic; the kids couldn't stop trying everything. The atmosphere is very cozy and chic, just a place to feel good and enjoy. We'll be back 👍🏼😃

Quaint and cozy fish restaurant in Wetzlar's old town. Very friendly and attentive staff. Wide selection of fish, as well as meat dishes. We had the fried fish platter and sea bass. Each dish is served with a fresh mixed salad and baguette with garlic butter. The food was delicious! . We would love to come back, highly recommended!

We were in the restaurant on the occasion of our wedding anniversary, as we do almost every year, and were looking forward to a good fish dish. I chose a grill plate, which was also good. However, my wife's pulp was not good. Some of the ends were really burnt, giving the whole thing a bitter taste. But well, that can happen. We felt what happened afterwards was worse. We sat for at least half an hour with empty glasses and 20 minutes with empty or half-eaten plates before a lady from the service staff noticed us. When she asked if everything was okay, I asked her about the inattention of the guests. She said they didn't have enough staff. I then told her that I didn't care and was about to start another sentence when the lady said that she didn't care either and left us sitting. On the subject of "little staff", it should be said that other tables and also the guests at the counter (obviously regular customers) were given due attention, which, as visible from our table, was expressed in longer small talks. We would probably have to make an effort and intensify our visits to the restaurant in order to be perceived as part of the regular customers. But that won't happen. For us it was the last visit here. Thank God it's not the only good fish restaurant.

Best fish restaurant in the region. Grilled octopus or fish grill platter is highly recommended.

Quality doesn't match the high price or was it the cook's fault? Tuna grilled dead and way too dry. Felt like chewing gum in the mouth. Salmon the same way. Salad oversized pieces, some with stalks inside. Plus mini fish pieces. Even the shrimp was far dry. I was so disappointed. Other fish restaurants can do this much better.

Had reserved 2 days in advance. When we arrived we couldn't be found on the table reservation. Only when I showed the email confirmation did they suddenly know and we were given a table for two right at the toilet entrance. The food was the real disaster. Both zander and sea bass were partially fried black. The waitress acknowledged our complaint with a shrug. The bottom line is salad and bread as a side dish. Short version: Never again!

We were there with 8 people. Of course you eat fish here. It was really tasty too. Price performance is okay. But why do you get a grill plate already lukewarm when you then have to eat the last of the fish cold.

We came to this restaurant by chance because we were nearby and looking for something for dinner. As a specialized fish restaurant it appealed to us. Service and food are excellent. This certainly won't be the last visit. There are many other interesting dishes to discover on the menu.

There again as a birthday surprise for my daughter (a place without which Wetzlar wouldn't be Wetzlar😃). It is still so cozy and you feel very welcome. Since everything is freshly prepared in a small kitchen, you should have a little patience. But then!!! Special specialties as well as the fabulous sardines with salad, homemade garlic butter and a great baguette... to kneel in. Hörni really deserves to be mentioned and visited if you love fish and are out and about in Wetzlar's old town 🤩

The fish platter advertised outside for 24.90 turned into a grill platter for 28.90 when paying. Very suspicious - for me a sign of questionable gastronomy. We won't be coming back, even if the landlord wanted to refund the difference, we gave up.

The fish is prepared very tasty. You sit comfortably and the service is attentive.

Upscale Italian cuisine with a particularly beautiful flair! The staff was consistently friendly and accommodating. Our group found the pizzas and the pasta dishes to be very tasty.

It's not always possible to just drop by. Small but absolutely fine. The food is great. The finest fish. Recommended.

Despite booking a table online with confirmation, no table was given except for an emergency table approx. 50×50 directly in front of the toilet. The unprofessional and unfriendly female waiter was probably not keen on correcting the incorrect booking. That's why no more Hörni.

We had reserved a table and were warmly welcomed. The map was just the right size. You don't have to offer every fancy thing, but rather highlight your strengths, which has been done well here. The service was very friendly, helpful and gave us very good advice on choosing food and drinks. The food came in a reasonable time and was really delicious! That was “great tennis,” as they say.

Also vom Grundsatz her gar nicht schlecht aaabeer eine der Bedienungen war echt nicht gut. Der Fisch war qualitativ gut aber der Gargrad war schlecht. Ich bin ziemlich geteilter Meinung und hoffe, dass es sich nur um eine schlechte Tagesform gehandelt hat.

Wirklich sehr gutes Essen. Sehr nettes,höfliches & freundliches Personal. Unbedingt vorher Reservieren um einen schönen Platz zu ergattern. Aber das gute Essen macht auch den Schankplatz wett.

Wir haben dort unseren Jahrestag gefeiert, es war von der Vorspeise bis zum Nachtisch perfekt. Natürlich nicht ganz billig, aber für den Anlass angemessen! Verlangt nach einer Wiederholung!

Schon immer gehörte das Hörni zum N⁰1 in Wetzlar, und Umgebung, wo man sehr gut Fisch essen kann. Auch dieses Mal waren wir (5 P) begeistert. Es sollte nichts verändert werden, auch nicht die Innenausstattung, denn die macht das urig-gemütliche Ambiente seit Jahren aus. Wir kommen wieder!

Wer Fisch mag, MUSS hier her. Es gibt zwar auch Fleischgerichte und Vegetarisches, aber der Kalmar oder der Thunfisch sind eine Klasse für sich. Und die Tageskarte. Und ... Gönnt euch was! Am liebsten auf der Terrasse.

Uns hat hier alles gut gefallen, die Bedienung sehr freundlich und schnell. Das Essen selbst war der Hammer. Jederzeit und gerne wieder.

Ich habe eine Dorade gegessen die war gut habe ich aber auch schon besser gegessen. Es ist kein frischer Fisch sondern tiefgefrorener Fisch, ist aber auch für diesen Preis in Deutschland kaum zu bekommen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und wir konnten danach sogar Karten spielen ohne gestört zu werden. Für eine tiefgefrorene Dorade finde ich den Preis etwas zu teuer.

Gerne wieder. Vor allem keine blöde Musik.

Sehr Empfehlenswert! Insbesondere für leckere Fischgerichte ist das "Hörni" bekannt. Am vergangenen Freitag waren wir mit Freunden dort und fühlten uns super bedient.

Sehr leckeren Fisch gegessen. Auch schön draußen gesessen.

Das Essen hat geschmeckt aber das Ambiente und die Präsentation entsprach nicht der Preisklasse. Der Salat war grob geschnitten und zu ölig. Die Tellerdekoration zu kreativlos. Der Rotwein war zu hart und nicht harmonisch im Geschmack. Das Hörnsheimer Eck bleibt leider für mich ein einmaliges Erlebniss 👍

Die Fischplatte war sehr lecker und das Ambiente auf der Terrasse war schön. Bedienung schnell und freundlich. Klare Weiterempfehlung.

Sehr lecker kompetentes Personal. Vorspeisenplatte sehr zu empfehlen. Fisch im Hauptgang leicht trocken. Bedienung war aber sehr zuvorkommend und es gab Espresso aufs Haus. Werde nochmal kommen.
