That there is still something like that in Munich, simple but very good Italian cuisine, at affordable prices. Great wood-fired pizzas, and the chef has some very good recipes. Homely and cozy in all seasons. A little insider tip.

We ate pizza here twice in the evening. Super tasty, friendly staff and good prices.

We went for dinner with two adults and two children. We ordered two tuna pizzas, 1 margarita, 1 caprese plus 2x Fanta and 2x Cola. We all really enjoyed the food. Thin dough and well topped. Except for one Tonno, which was burnt on the edge. There is a star deduction for the service. At first they didn't ask about the size when taking the order and simply brought 0.4l per person. Unfortunately, we had to complain about two drinks after the first sip because it was simply a lukewarm, non-carbonated drink. The waitress then explained to us that this couldn't be the case because the bottles had apparently been newly opened. Even after we explained that the drinks in the other two glasses were carbonated, they didn't want to believe us. She refused the request that she could try the drink herself and then reluctantly asked if she should exchange the drinks...?! When we insisted, she obviously seemed very annoyed and brought the glasses back to the bar and commented angrily: supposedly no carbonation. Very unprofessional. Otherwise it's a cozy, small restaurant. The prices are ok.

It was our first time at the Café am Tierpark and we were very surprised at how friendly the service was. We were assigned a table by the window and drinks and pizzas were brought to us in a timely manner. The pizzas from the wood-fired oven were very well topped and tasted great. If we are in the area again we would like to visit this restaurant again.....👍

They really need to hire more staff. Wait times for food are too long. Additionally we were charged €2.5 per 200mL of TAP water, which the waiter did not mention had a cost. They take advantage of you. Do not recommend, there are better places close by.

The café can be easily reached by bus or train. It is also conveniently located for zoo visitors. The café has a small, very beautiful courtyard where you can enjoy your food outside, especially in summer. The staff is also very friendly and the selection on the menu is varied.

This is the best pizza I've ever eaten outside of home. Even our children wanted to eat here again every day of our stay in Munich. The price-performance ratio is great. After we've been here several times, we've tried pasta, pinsa and pizza and found everything to be really tasty. The small beer garden in the backyard is particularly shady in midsummer. The service was not intrusive and orders were completed quickly. The espresso was served in a very hot cup and tasted divinely Italian. The children tested themselves by choosing the ice cream. Our favorites are cinnamon, chocolate and lemon. If we lived closer, we would definitely be here more often. We'll come back on our next visit.

I can only rate the pizza and it tastes good, it comes from the wood-fired oven. Something like this has now become rare. However, you have to allow time before you receive the food. The shop wasn't full but both other guests and we waited over an hour for their food. The owner apologized very politely but it was unpleasant having to wait so long. After the long wait, you can enjoy a nice wood-fired pizza with good taste. So take your time and enjoy.

The condition is really nice, the price is also very good. The pizza was very greasy, so there was a lot of oil on the pizza. The drinks (Spezi and Cola) didn't taste at all like they were supposed to.

It used to be good. Meanwhile, price + quality + service + ambience no longer fit. We're looking for a new Italian :/

Honest to the bone!! I gave one bill too many without even slightly noticing it. Boss had already left the table and came back to say that I had overpaid one of 3 identical bills. Thank you for your honesty!!

Without a reservation, we were allowed to sit in a small backyard. The service was very friendly and we felt very comfortable. The pizzas are large and thin, were extremely tasty and also OK in price. Our pizza maker at home can have a look here😉. If we didn't have to drive so far, we would come again.

A nice restaurant with really friendly service. The pizza is good, from the wood-fired oven, thin base and delicious toppings. There is also a large selection for vegetarians. They even offer the option of opting out of the meat for pizzas planned with meat. The service is super flexible and patient, we felt very comfortable.

The food was delicious, but the service was absolutely dubious. Train your waiters and explain to them that tipping is not a given. was the last time for me.

Delicious pizza and nice service.

By far the best pizza for me. Toppings nicely distributed. Perfect ratio of tomato sauce and mozzarella. The edge is nice and crispy and not too big, so you always have a side bite with sauce and don't have to eat a completely dry edge. Very nice staff, you feel super comfortable ☺️ The chili oil could be hotter, but I also got an extra hot oil upon request 😌

Pizza is quite okay for the price. It is served well if you want half a pizza, you get it nicely arranged on two plates. Unfortunately, you can't get espresso very hot.

Delicious food, good location, fair prices. Quite good for a spontaneous visit. Staff always look at you a little surprised when you come without a reservation. I would really like to come there. The welcome and service could be a little warmer, otherwise everything was wonderful. :-)

Beste Holzofenpizza!!! Total netter kleiner Innenhof Garten. Absolut empfehlenswert. Günstig und schön nix schicki micki ganz angenehm.

Ich kenne das Restaurant schon lange. Es war nie besonders chic aber der Service war immer sehr freundlich und die Holzofenpizza weltklasse. Das ist leider alles vorbei. Die Einrichtung ist uralt und abgenutzt. Unter den Tischen liegt Dreck, die Toiletten findet man sofort wegen des Geruches. Die Bedienung ist gelangweilt und unfreundlich. Meine Frage nach einem zusätzlichen Ei auf der Pizza wurde mit einem klaren NEIN beantwortet. Geht's noch? Bleibt noch die ehemals weltklasse Pizza. Diese ist inzwischen auf einem Niveau, von dem es nicht mehr sehr viel weiter nach unten gehen kann. Das CAT, so wurde es früher liebevoll genannt, ist ein Paradebeispiel für das zugrunde richten eines hervorragenden Restaurants. Hier sollte man einfach nicht hin.

Ja was soll ich sagen, die Pizza ist solide aber in meinen Augen viel zu wenig Belag und die Qualität der Zutaten ist jetzt nicht die hochwertigste. Leider ist der Laden auch nicht gerade gut geputzt und nicht der sauberste. Auch die Terrasse wäre der knaller, wenn sie halt sauber wäre. Schade da geht mehr

Sehr schöner Biergarten im Innenhof. Pizza, Pasta und Salat waren sehr lecker. Unbedingt auch das Eis probieren Freundliche und schnelle Bedienung, obwohl die Arme komplett alleine war.

Sehr leckere gute italienische Pizza und Pasta und vieles mehr. Die Pizza kommt aus dem Steinofen. Bedienung auch sehr freundlich. Der Service ging relativ schnell. Man kann im Restaurant oder hinten im Hof auf der Terrasse sitzen.

Super leckeres Essen. Besonders von der Pizza waren unsere beiden Jungs total begeistert. Der Service war zudem sehr freundlich.

Sehr gute, hauchdünne, gut belegte Pizza, sowas muss man bei uns im Ruhrgebiet lange suchen. Bedienung auch freundlich. Preis ok. Portionen etwas zu klein sonst hätte es 5 Sterne gegeben.

It's a nice place, we actually visit there regularly. The food especially the pizza is good. The staff are friendly. Sometimes they have daily offers which I really like. My only complaint is the lack of vegan options, but I usually ask them to change something on my food to make it vegan and they happily do that 😀. Recently, to my surprise they had a daily menu of Vegan scampi 🍤 I never heard of that before but I decided to give it a try and it wasn't that bad actually 😅 On occasions we had to wait quite long to get the food and usually their explanation is the amount of delivery orders. I took one star from service and overall score because of that. I hope they make some changes to way they handle dine-in and deliveries such that in house guests don't need to wait so long.

Waren spontan dort. Essen ok, nicht außergewöhnlich. Punktabzug, da man nur mit Bargelds oder EC Karte zahlen kann, leider nicht mehr zeitgemäß.

Sehr gute Pizza und Lasagne, selbst wenn es stimmen sollte, dass dieses Restaurant von keinen Italienern betrieben wird. Die wissen zumindest wie Italiener Pizza machen! Es gab in meinem Leben übrigens nur eine andere Pizzeria, wo mir die Tonno und Spinat Pizza geschmeckt hat, daher empfehle ich dieses Restaurant gerne weiter 😉

Das Ambiente ist in Ordnung, Aber das Essen dort hat mich und meine Familie wirklich sehr überrascht. Es war die beste Pizza die ich in meinem Leben gegessen habe. Auch die anderen Speisen sind außerordentlich lecker gewesen. Günstiger geht es glaub ich kaum noch. Habe schon lange nicht mehr so wenig bezahlt wenn wir zu viert essen waren.

I have been there more than 3 times, and the food and customer service is always really good. My favorites are the carpaccio and pizzas ( oven pizzas ❤️).

Wir haben eine positive Überraschung erlebt. Das begann mit der sehr engagierten und freundlichen jungen Dame, die uns bedient hat. Wr hatten jeder eine knusprige Pizza mit durchgebackenen dünnen Teig, und gut belegt. Der Pizzabäcker am Holzkohlenofen versteht sein Fach. Er hat abgewartet bis der Ofen die richtige Temperatur hatte und erst dann gebacken. Auch der Chardonnay war frisch, gut und grosszügig eingeschenkt. Was will man mehr. Mein einziger Kritikpunkt ist die Zurückhaltung des Kochs beim Knoblauch... empfehlenswert.

Ich habe die beste Pizza von München gegessen. Deshalb kann ich mit einem guten Gewissen diese Feststellung an Menschen weiter empfehlen, die auch einmal in den Genuss einer gut schmeckenden Pizza kommen wollen.

Ich hatte kürzlich die Pizza Tonno in diesem italienischen Lokal und war wirklich beeindruckt. Das Essen war fantastisch - die Kruste war knusprig und die Tomatensauce war perfekt ausbalanciert. Aber nicht nur das Essen hat mich begeistert, auch der Service war hervorragend. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und nett und hat uns das Gefühl gegeben, wirklich willkommen zu sein. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und freue mich schon darauf, weitere Gerichte auszuprobieren. Alles in allem eine tolle Erfahrung und ich kann das Lokal nur empfehlen.

Die beste Pizza die ich je in München gegessen habe. Wir wurden von einer netten langhaarigen Bedienung bedient. Sie war sehr zuvorkommend und ich habe mich sofort wohl gefühlt. Sonder Wünsche auf der Pizza waren kein Problem. Für diese Pizza fahre ich gerne 20 km durch München

Na wer sagst denn, endlich eine nette Bedienung! Bisher waren es so patzige unfreundliche Weiber,..pfui! Für gastro nicht geeignet! Angebot: alle Pizza und Pasta für 7,90€ ! Das nenne ich einen exzellenten Preis und die Antwort auf die steigende Inflation ! Die Lasagne war gut, aber sie hatte mehr Würze gebraucht ! Tipp von mir: gekörnte Brühe gibt guten Geschmack und ruhig mit Knoblauch! Deshalb einen Punkt Abzug! Danke!
