Holzfeuer Pizzeria Peppone in Herne

Unfortunately, I have to revise my review. I ordered the arugula pizza three times in four months and received the wrong one (Margareto) each time. The pizza isn't crispy, it's rather soggy – and this has happened repeatedly. What a shame! That's it for us.

Back then it was the best pizzeria in Herne; today it's still solid, but the prices are no longer justified. Still, a good place for a quick bite.

It doesn't get much worse than this food. Extremely expensive and absolutely awful-tasting.

We come here every now and then. The food, especially the tuna baguette, is delicious as always. We first came here in 2014 and came back again today. It's nice to be able to rely on the taste 👍

Great service, delicious pizza. I recommend it to everyone, I will be back.

Extremely unfriendly I can only warn against it

I was in a hurry because I had to catch my train. The guys really worked their magic. Thanks to the huge, real stone oven, the pizza was not only ready in record time – it also tasted fantastic! I made the train – I even managed to eat almost all of it on the platform!

We've been ordering from you for years because the thin, crispy pizza base was simply something special. We also had the schnitzel and pasta dishes regularly, and everything was always delicious. But last week, we also ordered everything. The pizza was still the best, but the crust was no longer crispy! The schnitzel was pressed meat, tasted simply awful!!! The pasta dishes were far too greasy. You're more expensive than everyone else, so you expect good quality!

The food was hot, but the fries were so greasy they were disgusting to eat. The schnitzel was half burnt. The only thing that tasted good was the broccoli and the cream sauce. What a shame.

NOT RECOMMENDED... I'm very disappointed. €8 for a medium pizza/margarita, and then such a thin base that you can almost see through. On top of that, the pizza wasn't enough to fill me up, a thin lady like me. Then I got a thirst quencher, thinking it couldn't cost more than €1.50, but then they charged me €2 for a thirst quencher that cost 0.49 cents. It's really cheeky, I thought, even with the pizza, but my mom said it's soooo good, like...

The food arrived piping hot, the pizza was very good, and so were the rolls, so 5 stars for that. I don't recommend the tortellini carbonara, why? The sauce was separating from the oil (it was splattered), the pasta arrived very, very, very soft, I didn't like it (I feel sick now 🤢) Sorry, 1 star

The food was really small; it was more like a tarte flambée, and the pastry had no flavor. Unfortunately, it used to be a top-notch restaurant, but today I have to say it's a major flop. You can tell they're cutting corners.

Today I was here for the first time. The employees are all super nice and accommodating. Pizza Leona tasted really good! A visit is worth it.

I can only say good things about this pizzeria. The selection is more than decent, the service was very friendly, the waiting time was very short and, most importantly, the pizza, in my case the Pizza Daniel, was very tasty. Definitely coming back.

I was last here 12 years ago and tried it out again. My expectations weren't high as I expected a normal standard pizza. I like to try out a lot of pizza places because I love pizza. My decision is that this is the best pizza place in the Ruhr area. About the pizza: My order was a large pizza with corn + sauce ho. The dough was very tight and thin. The pizza wasn't too greasy and went straight to your stomach like butter. No feeling full, but still full! Thank you for this wonderful experience, I will prefer this restaurant from now on.

Das Essen schmeckt super würde ich jeden weiter empfehlen

Essen ist immer in Ordnung gewesen. Der Lieferservice ist seit neuestem die größte Katastrophe! Ich wohne im 4. Geschoss und komme den Lieferanten immer entgegen. Habe 2 mal über Lieferando bestellt, Lieferant hatte meine Handy Nummer. Letzten Monat einmal bestellt, Fahrer ruft mich an “Bruder Abi du kommen runter Pizza da ich nix Parkplatz bitte schnell”- Ich renne runter: Lieferant steht gemütlich in einer einfahrt, Lieferant steht vor einer falschen Haustür und telefoniert mit nem “Kumpel”, hat mich einfach komplett verarscht - anscheinend zu faul. Einige Wochen später nochmal bestellt: Penetrante Anrufe vom Fahrer, mindestens 4-5 mal ohne Pause, hab’s schon geahnt und bin nicht dran gegangen. Extreme Frechheit! Dann schellt er und ruft wieder an. Schellt noch mal und ruft wieder an. Das ganze 3 mal. Sowas darf nicht sein. Absolute Frechheit, und dann war die Bestellung auch noch falsch. nach dem Anruf vor Ort Verhalten des “Chefs” in der Pizzeria auch nicht der Knaller. Hab oft bestellt, jetzt nie wieder. Echt schade!

sehr guter Geschmack. Der Teig ist sehr gut und nicht zu dick. Der Belag ist immer frisch. kleine Pizza bestellt und eine große bekommen.

Gestern mal wieder bei Peppone bestellt. Die Pizzen schmecken hervorragend, auch Salate sind prima. Lieferung gestern war blitzschnell (20 Minuten). Wir bestellen dort öfter, das Essen ist immer sehr gut, Lieferung bisher immer vollständig und korrekt, einziges Manko: zu Stoßzeiten am Wochenende gibt es lange Wartezeiten oder man muss abholen. Aber das ist vielleicht auch der Beliebtheit an leckeren Pizzen geschuldet. Also: immer wieder gerne.

Gestern bei der Pizzeria Peppone bestellt und eine Lasagne und einen Salat erhalten, die eine 5 Sterne Bewertung mehr als verdient haben. Wirklich köstlich. Auch die Kräuterbutter und Pizzabrötchen waren sehr lecker.

Gute Qualität Freundliches Personal. Gute reichhaltige Speisekarte. Schade fände ich nur das Leider eine Änderung der Beilage z.b beim Schnitzel Bolognese von Pommes auf Nudeln nicht möglich war.. Das Schnitzel selbst war aber einwandfrei.

Absolute Empfehlung, sehr leckere Pizza.

Ich hasse Pizza eigentlich also nicht hassen, sondern ich würde es jetzt nicht freiwillig nehmen aber heute hatte ich irgendwie Bock auf ne Pizza. Auf jeden Fall hab ich noch nie ne Pizza von dort gegessen. mein Fazit: ich bin so überwältigt von diesem Geschmack, dass ich kurz davor war, da noch mal anzurufen und einfach Danke zu sagen, dass es so eine Geschmacksexplosion war. Das stimmt ja einfach alles. Der Boden ist dünn genug und nicht durchweicht, nicht zu fettig. Die Ränder sind knusprig. Hammer einfach ! Die Lieferung war auch super freundlich und Nett

Die Pizza ist sehr lecker die Pizzeria ist sehr sauber die Mitarbeiter arbeiten sehr sauber .

Kleine Pizzeria ohne viel Schnickschnack Die Qualität steckt im Essen. Dafür würde ich sogar noch mehr Punkte vergeben, als ich schon kann. Vor Deinen Augen wird das Essen (ob Salate, Pizzen, Aufläufe oder...) frisch zubereitet. Der Chef und seine Leute machen ihre Arbeit Hand in Hand und sind zu Ihren Gästen drinnen oder Laufkundschaft immer freundlich. Für das Ambiente konnte ich leider nicht die volle Punktzahl geben, da es für mich einen Kantinencharakter hat. - Aber Hand auf's Herz, wer will schon das Mobiliar essen??? - Es ist sauber und das Essen ist super. Ich habe hier noch nie Magenbeschwerden gehabt. Das heißt, alles ist immer frisch! Ich komme gerne wieder und empfehle diese Pizzeria 🍕 ausdrücklich. Drei Daumen hoch 👍👍👍

Zum ersten Mal hier gewesen , nicht das letzte mal .4Personen haben unterschiedliche Gerichte zu sich genommen, alle waren hervorragend. Wir kommen wieder die Bronzels .

Ist sehr lecker dort, man sollte auch schnitzel oder Baguette probieren.

Der Teig der Pizza ist viel viel zu dünn . Auch auf Bitte einen dickeren Teig zu machen. Er ist richtig crispy und man schmeckt ihn kaum. Die Pizza ist wirklich wenig gewürzt und es mangelt an Salz und Geschmack. Sehr schade aber nicht zu empfehlen

Die mit Abstand beste Pizza der Stadt und weit darüber hinaus. Die letzte Preiserhöhungen war für mich allerdings doch etwas zu viel des Guten, sodass ich vorerst nur noch zu meinem Geburtstag dort bestellen werde.. Leider :(

Tolle Pasta, super Pizza, leckere Baguettes und frische Salate!

Erste mal bestellt und sicher nicht das letzte Mal. Die Pizza war super lecker. Erinnert mich an Urlaub auf Ischia. Zudem war das Personal am Telefon oder der Fahrer vor Ort super freundlich.

Ausser der Inneneinrichtung war alles optimal. Sehr freundliche Bedienung, Pizzen waren super lecker.
