Holy Taco in Hamburg

Despite having reserved a table, we had to wait at the door for almost 15 minutes in temperatures around freezing point. We were promised tequila as compensation, which unfortunately never arrived. The food was OK. The store itself is very narrow and loud.

Delicious! Price and performance are in good proportion. Well attended… wait times to be expected.

We tried it once. Three different tacos with fish, pork belly and birria. All very similar and Germanized. The spices lack the basic spiciness and aroma of Mexico.

War nen super abend mit alten Freunden, essen war super Getränke ebenso lecker und unser service war ein Traum! Fazit, Toller Laden gutes Essen und die Service Kräfte machen wirklich einen guten Job! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt mit Mia oder Maya 😅 und ihrer super positiven Ausstrahlung.. wäre ich 20 Jahre jünger hätte ich definitiv nach ihrer Nummer gefragt.

The food is good! We got a table quickly! Were served nicely! The only thing we can complain about is that two blondes who came in after us got their drinks and food quicker! Let me put it this way: we were there once!

We were there for the first time and were very impressed. Price/performance was great, everything was delicious and the staff was very friendly. The only negative point for me is the memory card, which can only be viewed via a QR code and is very confusing.

Very bad service and expensive. They serve Soggy tacos they pretending they are making real Mexican food. But if you really expect, they will serve you soggy tacos. Bartender does not know how to make drinks

Super leckeres Essen, nur die Kellner sind noch etwas überfordert und bis das Essen am Tisch ist, ist es kalt. Das Ambiente ist sehr authentisch und liebevoll gestaltet.

Holy Tacos is a must for us when we are in Hamburg. Quite inconspicuous on the Reeperbahn, you will be surprised with delicious tacos, the best guacamole in the city and Mexican drinks. The employees are always friendly and in a good mood, and the food is ready super quickly.

It's still good and probably still the best Mexican style tacos in Hamburg, but it got worse than it used to be.

Had dinner there yesterday and still smells like a taco! The ventilation is terrible! Veggi tacos with eggplant & the one with broccoli were not edible. The service staff was nice to us, but while clearing our table they gossiped about other guests in Spanish.

Great homemade tacos and funky basement/toilets! Despite rush hour and no reservation, it was still possible to get a table for 4 people thanks to the great service

Maden var virkelig god og deres kød var super lækker og frisk! deres guacamole var den bedste jeg har fået i mit liv! Der var også sådan nogen brød med ost og kylling som var virkelig namme nam!jeg fik også en mega god ris drik. Tjeneren var også virkelig sød, flink og venlig. Deres toiletter er virkelig flotte.

Right on the Reeperbahn, so easy to reach. Basically quite comfortable inside, but the extractor hood doesn't work properly, so after a short time you smell like a taco. This is unpleasant... The tacos themselves and also the guacamole are down-to-earth, but nothing you remember - they could offer a lot more in terms of taste, but unfortunately they are also very, very fatty. The size of the tacos is okay, you need about 3 pieces. The service was nice and attentive. All in all average.

Welcome to house made taco heaven! Guacamole again, please! Best one we've had in a long time. The cevice is also really tasty. The staff is very friendly, the food is coming fast, the location is very welcoming. Maybe a bit too early for Xmas songs, but for this, no stars reduction 😎

Völlig planlos durch Zufall hier angekommen und noch nie Tapas gegessen. Da kein Tisch frei war, haben wir zu viert an der Bar gesessen. Das Personal war super und an der Bar sind wir beim ersten Getränk super beraten worden. Von der Guacamole über verschiedene Tapas haben wir uns durchprobiert und nochmal weitere Sorten nachbestellt. Einfach empfehlenswert. Hier arbeiten Profis mit viel Herz.

Sehr leckeres Essen und besonderes Ambiente. Hohe Preise die es aber wert sind! Klassische Hackfleischtacos sucht man hier vergebens.

Tacos that taste like they're in Mexico, great service and music that makes you want to dance salsa.

The tacos were very tasty, but very full. Personally, I would make them a little cheaper and fill them a little less. You can then eat several of them. It would definitely be more authentic that way and what I personally missed were the sauces at the table. There should be at least two sauces at the table, a salsa verde and another variety. The music in the restaurant was well chosen but also very loud.

The restaurant looks inviting and the service is attentive. However, we couldn't say anything positive about the taccos. Guacamole from the metro, not even homemade. Tapas were dry and everything was rather unseasoned. There was a lot of flavor missing.

Ambience wonderful! Latin music, excellent cocktails, colorful decor!! Food AMAZING!!! The guacamole in particular is heavenly as an appetizer! The service is very authentic and nice!! The only catch: The soft-shell tacos are very thin and tear easily. It's still tasty ;) We'll definitely come back!

Richtig leckeres, frisch zubereitetes Essen mit zuvorkommender Bedienung. Wir waren bereits bei unserem letzten Hamburg Besuch hier und wurden jetzt nicht enttäuscht - das Essen ist noch genauso lecker, ansprechend angerichtet und mengenmäßig genug. Die Bedienung hilft gerne fachkundig bei der Auswahl. Wir kommen bei einem erneuten Besuch sicher gerne wieder!

All in all, it's worth a visit. As has often been mentioned in the recessions, the service has a lot of room for improvement. The food itself (Tinga de Pollo & Quesadilla) was good, but it doesn't blow you away. There is certainly better Mexican cuisine in Hamburg. The atmosphere is inviting, but the chairs are very uncomfortable. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio doesn't fit here.

Even though there were a lot of free seats inside, we were seated in the hallway in the entrance area. Since the door was open, it was drafty and cool, so you didn't really want to take your jacket off. The chairs/stools are extremely uncomfortable to sit on. The gentleman then said he would come back immediately and disappeared for a quarter of an hour (at least). Then he took our drink and food requests and disappeared again. One drink was served correctly, the second was not (still water was ordered as the second drink). Instead of just getting the water, he made us wait again. The food was okay. I expected more from the food. Because the coriander was added far too generously, the food actually only tasted like warm soap. Too bad.

We came across the restaurant because of Bernd Zehner's broadcast.... Otherwise we would have completely missed the restaurant due to its location... The restaurant is right around the corner at Davidwache... The food and service were excellent and authentic... The price was very fair... I paid 5.50 euros for a taco with black tiger shrimp... You could easily get twice as much elsewhere, and the taco was a blast... In particular, we had 5 different tacos including the guacamole and a ceviche... It is what it is, the shop was great and our best Mexican restaurant so far... Some people can learn a lot from that... Thank you

Ordered a vegetarian dish without mushrooms. First food came with meat, exchanged, second came with a lot of mushrooms, third came, didn't like it. This happened when there were only 10-12 people seated in that place, not sure what will happen when the place is crowded. Wouldn't recommend it for people with vegetarian diets.

The tacos are amazing. The beef quesedilla is also delicious, but I recommend the tacos for the best possible taste experience. The atmosphere is very casual, not a fine restaurant. The only annoying thing was the open entrance door, which doesn't close automatically and was therefore open again after each guest. When the outside temperature is 5 degrees, it quickly becomes very cold.

Authentic Mexican food and very friendly, helpful service who takes the time to explain everything. Good location, cool decor and great ambience. Gladly again.

I had enchiladas with pulled chicken and it was good. my friends had tacos with chicken and they complained that it‘s dry.

The food is quite tasty and the prices are fair. However, the volume of the music is too loud, so you have to shout at the other person. Unfortunately, it was not changed even after repeated requests.

Excellent choice at StPauli. I love Mexican food and the tacos where amazing. Guacamole quite tasty too. The place was really nice decorated and with a very original style. Staff was really nice. Really looking into going back in my next visit

Tacos are very filling I went for 4 and it was almost too much. The shrimp taco is delicious, the al pastor was slightly dry.

Wir hatten gestern eine kleine Firmenveranstaltung und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Nettes Ambiente, leckeres Essen und ein toller Service.

Es war ein schöner Abend im Holy Taco, sie Bedingung war super freundlich und aufmerksam. Sie hat uns als Taco leihen das Essen so schmackhaft erklärt und beschrieben das wir es kaum noch erwarten konnten bis das Essen kommt. Was zum Glück auch echt super schnell kam. Die Auswahl die wir bestellt haben war lecker und frisch einfach auf den Punkt. Wer also mal auf dem Kiez unterwegs ist ein kleinen kulinarischen Hunger verspürt kann ich Holy Taco empfehlen.

A truly incredible shop. The food is a hit on every level, the quesadilla is a fantastic ensemble of cheeses, and even better with meat. The drinks are suitable in every aspect, so that even the different tequilas bring different aspects to the table. The tacos...are cheating. They are so incredibly delicious. Unfortunately the price is rather high but it's exactly the right place for celebrating. I would take photos of it, but unfortunately everything was eaten up immediately

Dear Hanna(h), thank you for accompanying us on our first visit here. Three more followed within a month! The food and cocktails (especially Mageritas) are fantastic and every time we leave the shop we are 10 times happier than before. Your colleagues are also a pure joy and we will be back as long as my bank balance allows! P.s. and when I spend my last penny here I know that there couldn't have been a better investment (Yes, the Mageritas are awesome and they work)

Delicious food, lime soda and piña colada were also delicious. We had a really lovely waitress who was helpful and attentive. All in all a nice evening. Gladly again.

We came here for an evening snack and reserved a table online in advance. The food was delicious, a bit greasy and the air was very warm and stuffy, even though the doors were open. The skull wall looks spectacular, but makes it difficult for the eyes to focus on the person opposite, so you would be looking at an optical illusion for an hour :( The staff was also a bit stressed and not exactly friendly, which is what you would expect given the prices Should be: 12€ for two small tacos and 13€ for 2 quesadillas with sauce. Okay for a snack, but to fill up, choose another restaurant.

Went to Holy Taco today because of a Facebook ad. The ambience is great and the music makes you feel like you've been transported to Mexico. A super nice service made the choice easy for us and we weren't disappointed, very tasty!!! We would love to come back

Sehr leckere Tackos, die Zutaten wirken hochwertig. Der Mescal Longdrink den wir probiert haben war auch 1A. Eher etwas teurer und laut in dem Laden.

Service can be a little slow. Be patient. Tables are small. Food was good.
