Holi - Indian Restaurant & Cocktail Bar in Köln

The food was delicious (10/10) and the atmosphere was cozy and warm. The staff was very lovely and friendly. Without a doubt, it's a place I would return to and recommend to any lover of good Indian food 🫶🏼

Absolutely delicious discovered them while on my trip to Cologne. Wanted to go back just to experience the deliciousness again. Warm welcome. They even gave me a homemade infusion for my throat because I was coughing a lot. Heartily recommend!

Despite the new interior, the quality of the food has decreased for me after the change of ownership. The food tasted bland throughout and lacked the Indian sophistication of the dishes. As an experienced traveler to India, it was just disappointing for me and my family.

We were really excited about the visit! The naan bread was super fluffy and fresh. The tikka style chicken was incredibly tender and perfectly seasoned, you can taste the quality and attention to detail. The curry was also a real treat.

Wir haben das vegetarische Menü (Dal, Gemüsecurry, Käse in Buttersoße, Raita, Milchreis , Pickels und Naan) , Samosa als Vorspeise und Spinat mit Kartoffeln und Reis gegessen. Alles war sehr köstlich und sehr unterschiedlich fein mit Gewüzen abgestimmt. Wenn die vielen Cocktails auch so gut sind wie das Essen, kann es eine lange Nacht werden, wenn man das möchte. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder und können das Restaurant sehr empfehlen.

The food tastes very good! In my opinion the best in Cologne! The Mango Chicken in particular is highly recommended.

The ambience is okay, but as is often the case, you have to do without a tablecloth. The service doesn't do anything wrong, but it doesn't make much effort either. The menu is very large - here, like at a Chinese snack bar, you vary the basic ingredients (chicken, lamb, etc.) with various sauces instead of specializing in a few really good dishes. This results in a certain carelessness in the preparation. Anyone who thinks they will experience authentic Indian cuisine here has never been to India. The Chicken Korma, for example, has a sauce that tastes exactly like the one that German home-style restaurants have been pouring out of the bucket for “Chicken Schnitzel Indian” for decades. The explosion of spices in Indian dishes cannot even be guessed at; “spicy” has nothing in common with Indian spiciness. The prices charged for this mediocrity are surprisingly ambitious. Overall, an experience you can't live without.

Four of us (plus a friend's little dog) were there for the first time because she already knew the restaurant and absolutely raved about it - and she was right! The food was really tasty, fresh and well seasoned. Our wishes (not too spicy) were met very well, which we thought was really great. The service was very friendly and relaxed, we felt comfortable. Priced really fairly for what you get. We'd love to come back!

The restaurant is simply furnished. The chairs are very comfortable and cozy. The staff is very friendly, polite and attentive. The drinks are delicious and taste great. My Mango Love was also very well decorated. The food is a poem. From the Nan bread with garlic to our various main courses and the dessert (pistachio ice cream, mango lassi), everything was delicious and rich. We'll be back.

Unfortunately, it didn't live up to our low expectations. The food didn't taste fresh enough to us. When asked, the waitress didn't know and wanted to ask. But there was no answer. The biryani was tasty but not authentically Indian. We tried the restaurant but will not come again due to the bad experience. Maybe try authentic Indian food in the future. Then maybe again

A truly fantastic Indian restaurant with authentic food and a very cozy atmosphere. You can choose whether you want to eat in or have it conveniently delivered to your home. The dishes are delicious, fresh, and lovingly prepared. Unfortunately, the prices are quite high, but the quality partly justifies this. I would especially recommend the butter chicken with naan bread and rice – even though it's not the most traditional Indian dish, it's a real highlight in terms of flavor.

The food was very delicious. The service was also good, we were 9 of us and had a great time there as we had a corner to celebrate and the food was quick to arrive. Naan was freshly made in tandoor - proper Indian style. The Matka chicken was absolutely yummy. I only felt the quantity was less for the price.

Das Essen war sehr lecker in angenehmer Atmosphäre, inkl. netter Bedienung. Die Portionen sind auch für gute Esser mehr als ausreichend, bei moderaten Preisen. Lieferservice ist auch möglich. Saubere Toiletten, aber nicht barrierefrei.

We are disappointed. Two years ago the food was great. Worse last summer. The lamb was hard and dry. Today all dishes tasted bad except the biryani. The meat was hard and dry. The sauces were bad and bland. We will no longer order on Holi. Very unfortunate. Especially if you entertain Indian guests at home, it is also unpleasant.
