Went there for the second time yesterday. And for the second time the same operator who is always there on Sunday lunchtime. A young tattooed man. When you come in he looks at you very unfriendly and doesn't greet you at all, as if he means what do you want here. Then when we ordered we wanted to change the drink, Then he told us it was already entered and it was too late. And last time we first wanted 2 spaetzle and then the children changed their mind for 1 spaetzle and he said it was too late and it was already ordered. And to top it off, a dinner Found food

Customers' requests are not met, they just wanted the dish without salad... The service at the self-service counter seemed overwhelmed. The food was ready quickly, the price/performance ratio was so-so, but I wasn't impressed with the taste. Beer garden is okay, the tables and chairs should be replaced, they look weathered, the paint is peeling off and hanging on your hand. Otherwise everything is okay, there are better locations.

Very good food, but there was only a tiny bowl of side salad (see photo). At 19 euros for a cordon bleu with fries, there should at least be a dessert plate of large salad. Otherwise a large selection of dishes, including a children's menu. You can also sit outside.

I always enjoy going here. The food is very good, the waitresses are always friendly and also love animals. Our dog was given a water bowl. The price-performance ratio is simply right here. I think a real Wienerschnitzel of veal with side dishes and salad for just under €23 is fair. It tasted really great too! The ambience inside is rustic, but fits a tavern. It's also very nice to sit outside.

Just the thing for a relaxing evening with children - direct access to the playground helps a lot. The parking situation was also great (Wednesday evening)

Small portions at high prices. The beer garden is in a fantastic location and really beautiful, but that is factored into the price. Here you pay prices like in the tourist hotspots in Munich, which must be cheaper at the brewery bar. The counter staff is also unable to distinguish between the types of beer and their characteristics and is unwilling to advise with the comment that they don't drink beer. It's a shame, it could be better.

Was here again today after a long time. And I ordered Kässpätzle with supposedly three types of cheese and a salad. Got a very small portion, which in retrospect was a good thing. The Kässpätzle were absolutely a disgrace, completely overcooked and just a tasteless porridge. When I pointed this out to the waiter, there was not the slightest reaction. Was completely ignored. And for 15€ it's a disgrace. I can only advise everyone against it and will avoid this restaurant in the future.

Nice beer garden, with enough space. But it's better to bring your own food. If I'm already paying €14 for cheese spaetzle, I would think a reasonable portion and a little more flavor would be appropriate. Too expensive for too little food and taste. Perfect, great food, great atmosphere and playground nearby

We celebrated my wife's 60th there. Successful all around. Since we had reserved, the tables were already prepared and set. Service was very friendly, accommodating and quick. The food was delicious and there was something for everyone. We were in the beer garden by arrangement. The trees and umbrellas ensured a pleasant temperature and the children could use the playground, which was also very pleasant for the adults (no bored/nagging kids ;-)). Since the bill was also appropriate, we say THANK YOU for the lovely celebration.

This restaurant/beer garden is a 20 minute walk from the train station. Suggest taking a taxi 🚕 there (6 minutes by car) as there are some hills to climb to get there. You can walk back easily. There are no English menus so have Google translate and German 🇩🇪 language downloaded on your phone before you arrive. The food, service, and atmosphere were fantastic…traditional Bavarian!!! The beer🍺 is from the oldest functioning brewery in the world…delicious !!! This is definitely worth it especially if you are staying at the Munich Airport and want a good meal before the flight home. You can take the Regional train (RE 22) to get to Freising (nonstop).

We were here because of the tavern music and it was a nice atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and the food seems good. There is also sometimes self-service in the beer garden. There is also a playground for children and dogs are allowed in the beer garden (as long as they are well behaved)

Unfortunately very disappointed with the food, we had the crusty roast, the meat was ok, but the dumplings were not homemade. The sauce was overly salty and tasted like a finished product. The burger wasn't really tasty either, there was tons of lettuce on it, onions and bacon that I ordered extra were barely there. Burger sauce had nothing to do with cocktail sauce and the bun wasn't tasty either. It's a shame we were really excited about the quality, which unfortunately was no longer there.

Unfortunately, the food was rather disappointing and was at the table after just 10 minutes. The schnitzel was quite good and big. The burger is absolutely not recommended (half a lettuce leaf, hardly any sauce or toppings and ready-made bun). 12€ for 4 sticks of asparagus with ready-made sauce and industrial potatoes is also not appropriate. I don't understand the complaints in some reviews. No matter where you sit, eat and drink: you will always be well served here. The waiters are quick, friendly and attentive. The food has always been wonderful and highly recommended. My personal highlight: the beer garden. Always a spot in the shade, never long waits for food and drinks. The kids can play next door at the playground. Very child-friendly in general: own changing room, numerous high chairs, special meal options. It's just relaxed and informal.

Spacious, not too loud, good selection of food, tasty, fast service, reasonably priced. What more do you want? Many dishes come in small portions. The portions aren't huge, but they're not overpriced either. I recommend taking a look at the menu online. Parking directly in front of the entrance.

Supposedly the best restaurant on site - I can't understand it. Food mediocre. Great service for that. A bit rough but fast. Had a private party upstairs. It was good there. Only one toilet upstairs, but more in the basement.

Very good restaurant. A great history and brewery. Many food choices for traditional Bavarian meals, all kinds of Schnitzel options and don’t forget the soups. Almost all meals come with a wonderful small salad so keep that in mind when ordering. I wanted the grill platter but think that’s too much for one person. Chose traditional Schnitzel but upgraded with mushroom sauce. I also had the Leber Spätzle soup which was so good. I would recommend this Chef and kitchen any day. Children menu available as well as Vegan options. Many choices for in house brew beers as well as wines. I highly recommend you giving this a try.

Wir waren gestern mit 6 Personen dort beim Essen. Das Ambiente passt und hat sich seit Jahren nicht geändert und auch der Service war größtenteils ok. Es war eben sehr voll und da muss man schonmal ein bisschen warten, kein Problem. Das Essen war allerdings nicht so prickelnd. Im Vergleich zu vergangenen Jahren deutlich nachgelassen. Sowohl die Portionsgrößen als auch die Präsentation und alles entscheidend der Geschmack waren nicht auf dem Niveau der Vergangenheit. Alles ein bisschen lieblos, alles ein bisschen einfach und einiges erkennbar an Convenience-Produkten enttäuschten ein bisschen. Ich hoffe, der Hofbrauhauskeller kehrt schnell wieder zu alt gewohnten Qualitäten zurück da es sonst ein wirklich schönes Wirtshaus ist.

Sehr leckeres Essen, frischer Fisch gegrillt hat delikat geschmeckt. Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal! Jederzeit gehe ich da wieder hin. Sehr empfehlenswert! Aber sicherer ist , Plätze vorzubestellen.

Sauerbraten zäh, Knödel trocken, Soße mehr Brei als Soße und extrem überwürzt, da erwarte ich bei knapp 20€ deutlich mehr! Ähnliches Bild auf einem anderen Teller, auf dem Burger eine Scheibe Tomate und Zwiebel, kein Salat oder sonstiges, dazu labbrige Pommes Essen kam auch gute 10min nach Bestellung, da kann nichts frisch sein! Das Geld kann man sich besser sparen!

Gutes Essen, freundlicher Service, leider ist es an dem Tag sehr zügig und Kalt im Restaurant gewesen. Für Dir permanent offenen Türen, kann Day Personal nichts, das liegt an den Gästen. Eventuell sollte man in Türschliesser etwas Geld investieren? Aber ansonsten alles gut für normale Bayrisch / Österreichische Küche.

Ein Ort an dem Weltoffenheit herrscht, Toleranz über alle Maßen und Gastfreundschaft par excellence. Dann ist der Hofbrauhauskeller genau diese Anlaufstelle. Wunderbares Personal, tolle Bewirtung und schmackhaftes Essen. Dazu der Spielplatz für die Kleinen und vortreffliche Diskussionen. Hier schlägt ganz klar das Freisinger Herz.

Essen sehr gut, Bedienung sehr freundlich, hat uns gut gefallen

Sommer wie Winter eine schöne Wirtschaft mit gepflegten Essen. Diesmal war ich im Biergarten. Es gibt einen Wirtsgarten(Bedienung) und einen Biergarten wo selbst mitgebrachte Gerichte verzehrt werden können. Ein großer öffentlicher Spielplatz ist etwas oberhalb vom Biergarten. Leider war bei meinem Besuch der Verkauf im Biergarten geschlossen und alle Getränke und Speisen mussten über den Ausschank bestellt werden. War kein Problem, Getränke gab's sofort, die Speisen wurden zubereitet und man bekommt über einen Sender bescheid wenn sie an der Ausgabe fertig sind. Viele schattige Plätze vorhanden, der Parkplatz ist nicht so groß aber in einem Biergarten fährt man ja auch nicht wirklich mit dem Auto.

Typisch bayerisches Wirtshaus mit Biergarten. Gute Speisenauswahl, gut zubereitet. Sehr nettes zuvorkommendes Personal. Die Preise sind in Ordnung - fast schon preiswert.

Wir waren zu dritt beim Essen dort. Schon lange nicht mehr in Freising so gut gegessen. Das Essen war fantastisch der Service freundlich und die Speisen kamen zügig. Das sehr gute Freisinger Bier schmeckt in dem Ambiente klasse. Gute Parkplätze vorm Gasthaus. Der Pächter macht hier alles richtig. Wir kommen wieder.

Leckeres Essen und Top Service! Dazu ein Wirt der die bayerischen Traditionen pflegt. Es gibt Wirtshaus Musi, Maibaum Feiern und vieles mehr.

Es ist eine typische grosse bayerische Brauereigaststätte, wie es früher viele gab. Man erhält Freisinger Hofbräu Bier direkt aus der Brauerei. Der Service ist freundlich und es gibt typische lokale Gerichte. Das Essen schmeckte gut. Bei schönem Wetter kann man auch im Biergarten sitzen, aber auch die Gasträume sind gemütlich, traditionell eingerichtet und laden zum Verweilen ein.

Wir hatten: 1. Feldsalat mit Brezencroutons, Kartoffelchips, Kartoffeldressing und Parmesanspänen - das war eine kleine Portion Salat, zähe alte Brezenstücke, zähe Kartoffelchips, Dressing nicht auffindbar, Parmesan fein gerieben. 14 Euro sind dafür schon viel. 2. Krustenbraten - Menge ok, wenig Soße, sehr festes zähes sehr trockenes Fleisch, Kartoffelsalat aus riesigen Kartoffelstücken mit sehr wenig Geschmack ... 3. Risotto mit Zander, kleine Portion: wirklich sehr kleine Portion für den sehr kleinen Hunger ... Seltsam: Nudelgerichte werden alle ohne Soße serviert und nur mit Olivenöl übergossen. (Lachs mit Pfifferlingsnudeln - mit Olivenöl übergossen, keine Soße; Nudelpfanne mit Basilikum - mit Olivenöl übergossen, keine Soße, Ravioli mit Tomat - mit Olivenöl übergossen) Ein Kellner fällt besonders negativ auf, ruft als er die Getränke bringt "Stopp, stopp - nicht mehr unterhalten, ich habe es eilig und kann nicht warten". Akkustik miserabel. Das Lokal ist sehr laut, eine Unterhaltung mit der Person gegenüber nur laut schreiend möglich. Biergarten schaut schön aus, saßen aber wegen Regen drinnen. Fazit: Enttäuschend, wir hatten uns auf Grund der Bewertungen mehr erwartet.

Wir haben gutes Essen für angemessen Preis gehabt. Das Wirtshaus ist sehr schön, der Service ist auch gut. Es muss nicht außerordentlich sein, damit man Spaß haben kann. Es reicht manchmal, wenn alles I.O. ist :) Hier gab es nichts zu meckern, also gerne wieder!

Klassischer bayrischer Biergarten unter Kastanien

Always busy not only with tourists but also with locals - says a lot about how popular this restaurant is!! Staff were excellent and served us promptly. Our food choices were freshly made and brought to our table hot. Excellent choices of local (Bavarian) meals and some vegetarian options as well. Highly recommend.

Ein nettes Brauhaus mit einem schönen Biergarten. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und das Essen gut bürgerlich. Wer nicht die höchsten Ansprüche stellt ist hier genau richtig.

Zum Abendsessen hier eingekehrt. Wir sassen im Keller wegen der Kälte, allerdings gibt es reichlich Plätze draussen. Der Service war gut und das Essen ganz lecker. Bier hat auch geschmeckt.
