Sehr schönes Landgasthof mit großem Biergarten. Nette Speisekarte und gute Preise. Sehr aufmerksame Bedienung und gut angerichtete Speisen. Zur Zeit Pfifferlinge; die „Italienischer Art“ sind besonders zu loben. Gerne kommen wir immer wieder. Update 6.9.23: Es ist immer noch einfach ein gutes Ziel, wenn man anständig essen will. Sehr idyllisch, sehr aufmerksames und freundliches Personal. Toll für Familien mit Kindern da ausreichend Spielmöglichkeiten vorhanden sind. Kommen seit vielen Jahren gerne hierher.

Für kleine und große Feiern sehr schön, mit Spielplatz kleinem Bach ideal bei gutem Wetter mit Kids. Waren zu einer Kommunion dort. Essen war gut Service und alles auch.

Ich war in einer Gruppe essen dort , anfangs war es sehr laut und man konnte sich kaum unterhalten. Wir saßen im innenbereich da die Wetterbedingungen für draußen zu kühl waren. Die Bedienung ist sehr nett und Hilfreich und das Essen kam zügig und schmeckt sehr gut. Das Lokal ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und wirkt alt den Außenbereich kann ich nicht bewerten ist aber im Sommer bestimmt schön draußen mit der Lage

Sehr gemütliches Restaurant mit sehr freundlichem und hilfsbereitem Service. Es wurden noch 2 Gerichte angeboten, die nicht in der Karte standen, u.a. der Fisch. Das Essen war sehr lecker! Die besten Bratkartoffel, die ich die letzten Jahre gegessen habe. Leider wurde der Aufenthalt etwas getrübt durch ein sehr laut schreiendes, motzendes Kind, was die Unterhaltung insgesamt schwierig machte. Durch das Wetter bedingt konnte man leider nicht unter den Bäumen draussen sitzen. Schade!

Waren zu einer Geburtstagsfeier eingeladen und in der Mühle. Sehr gutes Essen und gute Service. Für kleine Kinder gibt es einen tollen Spielplatz. Waren sehr zufrieden.

Bei schönem Wetter im Sommer, am Feiertagrn oder Sonntags ist es gut reserviert zu haben. Meist findet der Chef aber noch ein Platz für dich in einem gewissen Zeitfenster. Bedienung freundlich und flott. Äppelwoi schmeckt. Ordentliche Portionen, keiner muss hungrig nach Hause.

Die Außenterasse ist bei warmen Temperaturen ein idealer Ort, um lecker zu Essen und zu Trinken. Die Speisekarte ist nicht zu umfangreich, spricht aber eher für die Küche. Nette Bedienung, Preis/Leistung passt, wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.

Eigentlich ein sehr gutes Restaurant! Nette Lage, vorallem mit Kindern ist der Außenbereich sehr zu empfehlen. Das Essen war prinzipiell sehr gut, wir hatten Spargel und grüne Soße. Jedoch hätten wir für den Preis erwartet, sat zu werden. Davon waren wir leider weit entfernt. Wir sind alle sehr schlank und essen nicht übermäßig viel. Ich habe noch nie erlebt das unsere ganze Familie (mit Nachspeise) hungrig wieder nach Hause gegangen ist. Wenn man schon am Spargel spart, sollte man ihn wenigstens mit ausreichend Kartoffeln und Soße servieren.

Wir waren heute mit meinem Mann in diesem Restaurant und sind wirklich begeistert! Schon beim Empfang wurden wir sehr freundlich begrüßt und die Mitarbeiterin war ausgesprochen aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Die Lage ist sehr schön und es gibt ausreichend Parkplätze, was den Besuch besonders angenehm macht. Das Restaurant selbst ist gepflegt und hat eine tolle Atmosphäre. Das Essen war einfach lecker und wir mussten nicht lange darauf warten, der Service war schnell und gut organisiert. Man merkt, dass hier viel Wert auf Qualität und Gastfreundschaft gelegt wird. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und können dieses Restaurant jedem weiterempfehlen. Freundlich, lecker und eine schöne Atmosphäre. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Sehr leckeres Essen in schönem Ambiente und freundlichem Personal. Vorspeise, Hauptgericht, Dessert + div. Getränke und dennoch unter 60€ pro Person. War nicht das letzte Mal.

Die vielen positiven Bewertungen sind schon erstaunlich. Hatte ein Jägerschnitzel: Großes Schnitzel aus der Friteuse, Champignons geviertelt direkt aus der Dose geschmacklos und sehr fettige Bratkartoffeln + Fertigsosse. 17€ sind da zu viel.

We went for goose dinner; the taste was okay, not bad, but not outstanding for the price we paid. All in all, it was okay, but in the past, at least as I remember it, it was noticeably better.

We spontaneously went here for dinner a few weeks ago and managed to get a seat despite it being the weekend. The food was delicious, the waitress very friendly and quick. Basically, everything would have been great. Unfortunately, the gentleman who took over service at our table towards the end made a comment about our table manners, specifically why my companion hadn't correctly positioned his cutlery at 4:20 after dinner to signal that he was finished with the course. We found this very inappropriate, and the comment and tone were very off-putting. The fact that my companion, due to his lack of German, was clearly identifiable as a non-German and obviously couldn't even participate in the discussion left an additional aftertaste. It was then up to me to navigate the embarrassment and defuse the situation without ruining our day. Perhaps meant as a harmless joke, perhaps not, but either way, I expect more hospitality and—yes, indeed—manners from restaurateurs, because that doesn't just consist of how you put your cutlery down...

Very good food, great ambiance, and friendly service. One star deducted because the spaetzle were a bit greasy, but they were still delicious! There's plenty of parking, but we recommend reserving a table, as it can get very busy.

To finish off, we had a delicious espresso and a hazelnut on the house. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely come back.

Today, we celebrated my father's 70th birthday with 12 people. We received a very warm welcome and greeting. The drinks and food arrived as ordered and very quickly. The children loved the playground in the garden. After dinner, we had a photo session outside. The beer garden is large and beautiful! The service was really great. Thank you for the lovely Sunday!

I can't support any negative reviews here. A superbly smart waitress guided us through the twilight evening ride. An odyssey of delicious food choices lifted me to seventh heaven with a clear 5-star rating. If my precious time allows, I'll gladly visit this fantastic restaurant a few more times. Warm greetings!

Romantic half-timbered building with a view of the forest. Very friendly and humorous service (despite the large number of guests). Generous portions and delicious. And nice and cool on a hot day! We'll be back :) Reservations recommended!

I’ve been in Germany for 20yrs and this was one of my top dining experiences in all of that time. EXCELLENT food, service was friendly and animated, the atmosphere and environment was beautiful. Three levels of coveted outdoor dining, with ample room to eat indoors. The small creek below with a wooden bridge leading to the woods, along with a nice playground for the kids, is a great option for parents who need a few minutes to finish their meal or just enjoy their drinks. I’ll be back.

Beautiful location, with a large terrace. Attentive, friendly, and efficient staff. Even in the busiest of situations, the chef takes time for a quick chat with guests. The food is delicious. From schnitzel to hand cheese and salad, everything was perfect. The price-performance ratio was excellent. We'll be back.

I was there for the first time at the beginning of July and was so pleasantly surprised that I'll definitely be back. Great food, friendly service, and very comfortable seating (outdoors this time). Highly recommended!

A very beautiful building complex, as we sat on the large terrace, so it's impossible to comment on the interior. Plenty of tables on two levels, very good and friendly organization, and reservations are definitely recommended. The lower terrace is definitely ideal for accompanying children, as it offers a good view of the outdoor area. Good and extensive selection of dishes; everyone in our group of six was very satisfied. The drinks selection was also very good. We're already planning our next visit, along with a hike in the beautiful valley.

After a long time, the two of us spontaneously went there by bike. Unfortunately, we were only offered a table for 1.5 hours. Everything else was reserved. We've been there so many times, and half the place was always reserved, leaving the rest open for walk-ins. We really had to leave at 6:30 p.m. I ended up eating something at home. What a shame, I think that was it.

Great, delicious food, super nice and friendly service, and everything moves quickly even when it's busy. Even if you're "just" going for a meal, you're in the right place at the Hockenberger Mühle; but an absolute highlight is the huge sand playground with slides, swings, and a small stream – perfect for families with (young) children. There's lots to discover and play with! And it's really well-maintained and clean.

A great day-trip restaurant in the countryside. Beautiful outdoor area with great play areas for children. The food is always good, and the barbecue buffet, especially for private parties, is also incredibly delicious. The food here has never been bad, and we come back often.
