Food was good and tasty, didn't have to wait long.

Food tasted good to very good. The fried Lyonnaise was excellent, the stuffed dumpling was good, the liver dumpling was better in taste. Staff was very friendly.

So far we've always enjoyed it. Were there on Sunday with 6 people and everyone was satisfied. The dishes are classic and hearty, as you would expect from a brewery.

Always happy, even just for a beer. The food is very good, the beer garden offers a beautiful view of the lake. Nice place.

The positive thing is that the service was friendly and the quality of the food was okay (typical brewery quality). Unfortunately we had to wait about an hour for our food, although the crowds were limited. When asked, the long waiting time was explained by a lack of staff - but guests who ordered after us received their food before us. I would have liked more honesty. In addition, a spoon with the soup was uncovered dirty, which wasn't so nice either. Overall, I unfortunately cannot recommend the brewery.

Reviews are always snapshots, for us today the constant hot food was the reason for our visit. The variety of dishes, the friendly service and the nice ambience were positive. I wouldn't describe the food as "fine dining", more like a quick service restaurant (it took barely 15 minutes for the food to be on the table). But we liked it, it was plentiful and in line with today's prices. Which just happened to be a lot (we had the bill printed out) and we hadn't experienced it in any other restaurant before: If you have leftover food wrapped up, you will be charged 90 euro cents for packaging that costs max. Available for 15 cents!

We wanted to go to the Brauhaus Losheim today, at first we were turned away because nothing was available, no problem at all, but then when people kept leaving, we asked again and we were given a table that was reserved from 6 p.m.! Arrive at the brewery at 4 p.m., we should be ready by 6 p.m.! No problem at all! But after we still weren't served at 4:35 p.m., neither with drinks nor with the menu, we got up again and left! Then we went to the brewery in Schmelz, where we were served and it was delicious too! So 0 stars for Brauhaus Losheim am See, the one star is mandatory for the always nice walk along the reservoir!!

Great brewery. Very, very tasty draft beer. Nice atmosphere. Great location by the lake. Lots of parking and huge portions. We had schnitzel. Class!!! Very friendly service.

Great brewery. Very friendly staff, delicious food, beautifully made. We had a good lunch and in the evening, despite the full house, we found another place where we ordered dessert.

The brewery is a mix of modern and rustic. Wood meets metal and with loving details you almost feel like you are in Bavaria :) Attentive and fast employees for whom no extra request is too much. The goulash soup is for experienced tongues as it was extremely spicy. My tarte flambée with goat cheese was delicious but powerful. You definitely get enough for your money.

Everything was fine, a table was reserved for our hiking group, we were served nicely and quickly with drinks and food. You'll be happy to come back there.

I was completely satisfied with my visit to the brewery. Even though it was busy, the food came quickly, the portions were large and it tasted very good! Dogs are also welcome :) Friendly staff - we'll be happy to come back!

We had reservations for 4 people and 3 dogs, everything worked out great! The food, the drinks, the service, the place for the dogs next to the table Everything was just great 👍👍 We and our friends from Switzerland and their dogs were completely satisfied.

Once upon a time, all I can say is that I waited outside for a coffee for a whopping 30 miles, even though there were enough staff present, and was totally overwhelmed, as the coffee was only half full, so I didn't dare eat anything to order because I wanted to be home before it got dark!!!

The food is always delicious and you can sit comfortably everywhere. The large hall also absorbs a lot of sound, so you can hear that there is a lot going on. But it's always pleasant and you can still have a good time.

The style of the brewery combines tradition with modernity. This worked out very well. The food is good. For the price you get large portions. The service team tried to be nice, but everyone was pretty stressed. One had the feeling that there were not enough service staff there. The restaurant wasn't even half full. There were also not enough menus for the guests. .

A very nice brewery in Losheim am See, great ambience with cool sayings, the food was delicious, friendly service. Only, in my opinion, the Fanta was diluted with water. Even after complaining, the Fanta was served to me diluted again. I then took a Coca-Cola. The Fanta was not calculated. 👍

The positive first, food was okay and the beer was good. Were there in the evening at 8:30 p.m. After we had chosen a table, I got the menu myself after 10 minutes. After another 5 minutes we were able to order drinks. After eating we sat in front of our empty plate for a good 20 minutes. Until we were able to tell the waitress that we would like to pay. Conclusion: the service has a lot of room for improvement.

Delicious food, casual atmosphere and very nice staff. Whether with friends, as a couple, during a bike ride, or after a dive, it is always very pleasant to have something to eat and enjoy a delicious beer here.

A typical brewery with its typical kettle. Is nicely furnished and has a nice outdoor area. Wine is not recommended there and beer is a matter of taste. Unfortunately you have the feeling that the food is a bit too salty. The staff goes out of their way to fulfill the guests' wishes. The restaurant is only open until 10 p.m. and the kitchen itself until 9 p.m. It is located just outside of the city and right near the reservoir.

Very tasty food, we were there with a larger group. Food and drinks came quickly. There was just a bit of a problem at the end. Overall, however, a good impression.

Very unfriendly staff, Got a rude answer from the waitress at the entrance. Very friendly young man on the terrace. When we went in, the next waitress yelled at me and went in faster. So we left very quickly without eating and drove to the brewery in Merzig. The staff there was very friendly, but the staff had a lot more stress than in Losheim. You should rethink what service means.

More emphasis should be placed on quality rather than quantity. You can also prepare delicious sauces. This cold side dish sauce was insufficient

After our son unfortunately didn't get anything to eat in the See Bistro after mini golf and we were blatantly lied to twice, we arrived at the Hochwälder Brauhaus in seventh heaven! We can only recommend it. Very nice service and delicious food.

Hello, we were in your restaurant this evening and had to wait over an hour for the food. We were told it would take a while, which I understood, but after over an hour there was still no food, I'm sorry, but that shouldn't be the case. .and there were several tables that had complained and even then paid for their drinks and got up and left. The service accepted everything in a friendly manner..It's a shame but that was the second time that we and I were very disappointed 😞 I also think it was the last time. It was particularly bad for our son, who has a disability and was very disappointed to cycle home without food because we were traveling by bike. 🤷‍♂️So I can't recommend it

Eat good. Large salad plate unfortunately expensive for the size and composition. Expected more for the price. Malt salad was okay. Service was very friendly. Interior very nice. The terrace could use some TLC. It wasn't as nice as it was a few years ago. A pity!

We were back in the brewery after a very long time, probably over 4 years (we weren't served 4 years ago) and I have to say it tasted very good. Unfortunately I have to say the venison goulash was only 3 pieces of meat for almost 20 euros which is a bit much but that The nice waitress welcomed it very kindly and kindly and passed it on to the kitchen and also took a photo of the plate. My salad with chicken breast was very nicely prepared. All in all we will be back

Delicious food, typical German dishes. Unfortunately, there are many wasps outside on the terrace. You must reserve food indoors in advance.

The sauce was soggy, the food was hardly seasoned, the fried potatoes and schnitzel tasted like old fat, and to top it off there was a piece of plastic in the sauerkraut, etc. The service accepted all complaints in a friendly manner.

Great restaurant We were there with a wheelchair user and two small children. Nice, open-minded staff, painting supplies for the children to bridge the waiting time. Lots of space on the terrace. The food came promptly and was great. The dessert and coffee were also very tasty. Everything is within reasonable price, great value for money. Gladly again!

A very great restaurant! We dined there on two consecutive days, both times around late lunchtime. We were greeted very friendly by the staff and immediately provided with drinks, and the food arrived within 10 minutes. The food tasted excellent and was lovingly prepared. We sat in the beer garden, which offers some shady spots on hot days. Our dog was allowed to accompany us and was provided with water - very attentively by the staff. There is free parking opposite the restaurant. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area!

Nice location at the entrance to the Losheimer reservoir. After walking around the lake, we took a seat on the terrace of the Hochwälder Brauhaus. Plenty of selection of food and drinks. All the dishes we chose were served promptly and consumed deliciously. Everything is okay in terms of price. From 7:30 p.m. onwards the crowds got bigger, so it could take a while to find space or order.

I think this place is a very nice and decorated place. The food was very good, but a bit big, the price for the food is very fair. The ambience was very good, the mood was good and it didn't take long to get to the lake. I think the decor is really nice and the highlight is the boiler in the middle where you can stand on it. The staff was very polite and nice and served us very well. So all in all very good, can only be recommended👍🏼

Beautiful location directly above the reservoir. We have often visited the restaurant after a long hike because it is perfect for that. Good food and even better beer. Price-performance fits 👍🏻

Very nice looking restaurant. Beer garden with a fantastic view. Unfortunately, the waiters seem very stressed and listless. (As noted in other reviews). Nobody was grinning during my visit. The country's typical calmness and warmth are missing. Food was okay and the beer 🍺 tasted great. A nice place to go on summer days. Unfortunately, the mayonnaise and ketchup were available in packets, which doesn't quite fit with the restaurant's philosophy. It's definitely worth stopping by and seeing for yourself.

Since I moved here to Germany, I didn't have find, till now, a good restaurant with friendly and very care Staff. The food was so delicious (greetings to the Chef), good price and very well served. Definitely, is now my favorite restaurant in this area. Thank you so much for everything ❤️

The interior was really cool and the food ultimately delicious. However, we had to wait an hour and a half for it, and there was no apology whatsoever. It's fine that it sometimes takes longer, that's life, but this was really not nice.

Unfortunately it was very chaotic when ordering. It took a little too long for the menu to arrive and even longer before you could order. My food wasn't particularly good. It was supposed to be minced steak, it was reminiscent of a huge dumpling with ready-made sauce from the bag. Taste-wise a disaster 😱

The ambience is very nice, a bit noisy when the place is full, but has a nice brewery atmosphere. The food was very tasty, could perhaps be presented a little nicer. The staff was quick and friendly. But you should definitely reserve a table. We were Sunday and Tuesday there and both times, the restaurant was full within a very short time and there was no free table left. That speaks for itself.😄 For the toilets I would have liked filled soap dispensers and paper towels (instead of Zewa rolls). But maybe they were just waiting for a delivery.😉 All in all, definitely recommended 👍🏼

It is very cozy in the Hochwälder Brauhaus, but unfortunately the motivation of the employees leaves a lot to be desired and the food had little taste because the spices had apparently run out in the kitchen.

This would be our second time eating there and we can only rate everything as very good. Food: really delicious Portions: really awesome (very large) Price: perfectly fine There is only one thing to say. We'd love to come back Keep it up.

A very good beer, brewed locally

I was there with a nice friend. Were there relatively early, around 4 p.m. The atmosphere is great...rustic with trees, plants, lots of wood and rustic furnishings. We were greeted at the front door by a friendly waitress and taken to the terrace. We could choose a place here. The young man who was responsible for us immediately asked about the drinks...but we asked if we could take a quick look at the menu. He went back inside to deliver other orders to neighboring tables. Then he came back to us and we ordered the drinks and then the food. After a reasonable amount of time, meals would be served...pasta with chicken and sauce and a salad plate. Both were attractively presented and the quantity was good... Both tasted very good. Since we talked for a long time, we sat at the table for a relatively long time. The waitress kept asking if everything was still OK or if we would like to order something else. Overall, it was a nice evening in a great atmosphere with an attentive waiter. Would go again and can recommend it to others.

Really really bad and not recommended. Maybe you had a bad day or staff shortages, but still. After ordering, the waitress comes an hour later and asks whether you would like to choose a different dish because the one you chose was "off". It then took another hour for the food to arrive, which was really bad. Fried potatoes are either charred or unfried. Otherwise, it's as loveless as canteen food. Remedies were only provided after the second criticism/complaint. So.....well. I'm sorry, but I don't recommend this.

On a sunny Sunday on the terrace, hoping to eat properly. But unfortunately I was extremely disappointed. Food took a good hour to arrive and also tasted awful. Staff was inattentive and you always had to ask to be served. The only positive mention was that it was nice to sit on the terrace.

I was there for the 3rd time yesterday. The first time the food was so-so. Last time the tarte flambée was really great, that's why I was there yesterday. Probably for the last time! I was served in a friendly manner by an older lady and ordered another tarte flambée and a large cola. The cola came quickly, I had to wait an hour for the tarte flambée. In between, around 8 couples came and got their food relatively quickly. Every now and then I waved in vain for a waitress, but they ignored me. After an hour someone finally came, but they didn't know anything about my order. They were quite grumpy and wanted to place the order again, but since I still had several miles to go on the bike, I decided not to do so due to time constraints. Especially because the staff acted like it was my fault that I didn't get food because the numbered ashtray was at the wrong table. Well, I then paid the 4.30 euros for the cola with a 20er. The waitress gave me back 4.50 euros and thus just gave herself a tip. I was so stunned that I couldn't say anything. I'm happy to give a tip if everything is right. But I have never experienced a waitress giving herself a tip.

Not recommendable. Lyoner was already out at 3 p.m. Our meals didn't come together. I didn't know you could make fries that bad. Location by the lake is very nice.

Since I was in Losheim again, I stopped by the brewery. Unfortunately it was once again a failure. The staff was again completely overwhelmed and brought the wrong number of drinks to the Tegel and some things were mixed up when delivering the food. But the worst was the cook. Since I didn't feel like eating anything greasy from the deep fryer, I decided on the brewery salad. The salad was still edible, but the chicken on top had been fried for at least 30 minutes or thrown straight from the freezer into the deep fryer and was totally dry. The only good thing was the view of the lake.

We made a reservation on the holiday and got a great spot. We ordered food and was served less than 5 minutes later. It was clear here that a lot would be prepared in advance. Unfortunately, this was also noticeable in the various dishes. The sauces are ready-made products. Ambience is great. Unfortunately, we noticed that occupied tables had reservation signs placed in front of them by the service with a maximum of 30 minutes left to eat and drink. That is not how it works. Even better, guests were then led to these tables and the waitress replied loudly: I'm sorry, your table hasn't been released and we're looking for something new... In my opinion that's not possible at all... Sorry, we won't be coming back

Despite the restaurant being full, a place was still found for us (2 adults and 2 children). The food was excellent and the portions were very large. The staff were absolutely accommodating and very fond of children. Thank you very much 😊

Hello. It was great again today! After the walk, head to the real brewery atmosphere. Eating took a while, but we didn't have a reservation and the hut was full. But we weren't on the run either :-). Great service, we always checked our thirst. Now we're lying on the couch well fed and looking forward to the next time... 5 Stars

I only had a salad plate and a pint of beer. The fact that I had to wait almost 45 minutes for this despite the moderate activity and the bread that was offered to us only came after 10 minutes of further inquiry (3 slices for two people), well. And guests after us got their food much earlier. At least the salad plate was very tasty and pretty to look at Maybe it'll be better next time

We were there from May 11th to May 17th. Visited the brewery several times and was very happy with the food. Regardless of whether it was salad (the Mälzer salad is highly recommended), schnitzel or pasta: it was all very tasty and there was enough to fill you up. One shortcoming, however, is the shortage of skilled workers and the apparent lack of a basic structure in the service. Even if everyone tries very hard, it sometimes takes longer for orders to be taken or, for example, B. Drinks are brought. It can also happen that orders are booked on the wrong table and there is then chaos when paying. On the positive side, we were informed twice that it might take a while for the food to arrive. When we then decided on a cold snack, it came very quickly. It's a shame that the employees seem to have to suffer from poor personnel planning. If you have a little patience and forbearance, you can have a delicious meal in a typical brewery atmosphere.

The food was good, as was the service, only the lights were turned off at 11:02 p.m. even though we just wanted to finish our drinks after the waitress told us they were shooting. That's not a good way, hence only 3 stars.

Absolutely great ambience, delicious home-style food at really good prices! The menu has something for everyone! The beer also tastes very good! All in all…..we'll be back!

Very nicely located above the reservoir with plenty of food (including vegetarian) and drinks to choose from. It's a great place to stop after a trip/hike in the area. Service is attentive, polite and tried hard, sometimes seeming a bit stressed. Ambiance is very inviting inside and out. Prices of food & drinks are fair and just. Quality just as good and acceptable. Were on site with Grupoe (16) and completely satisfied. Clean & tidy throughout the entire area. There are sufficient free parking spaces on site. I had classic tarte flambée, 0.5 & 0.25 liters of Alster water for €21.60. Flawless.

Today I ordered a waffle with powdered sugar. Was shocked at the size and price. The waffle had a maximum diameter of 7cm and was cold. I definitely won't be ordering these again.

Brauhaus Mettlach is a MUCH better alternative (my experience). I am shocked. Never eaten in a juice shop like this in my life. I wanted to order a normal "cream schnitzel". However, there were large amounts of mushrooms in it. The meat was still as good as raw and the breading was a disaster. The cream sauce only consists of fat. I doubt whether the glass of my cola was washed Apart from the cheap quality of these tables in the outside area, they were neither grown nor cleared away. The table was very easy to prepare and a complete schnitzel was left in front of us for a long time Finished with fries. Seems strange to me. But the time was reflected in the food 🤢. Not recommended.
