While visiting the region, I had the pleasure of discovering a restaurant with typical local charm. The welcome was warm and the food delicious. Excellent value for money, well worth a visit!

On our last visit in March or April, we were unfortunately quite dissatisfied and didn't really want to go back to Losheimer Brauhaus. But a colleague suggested we give it another chance. And what can I say? We were both very pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was very inviting and cozy, perfectly suited to the season. The service was very friendly, quick, and helpful. The food could have been a bit more seasoned, but it still arrived quickly, and the portions and the taste were amazing. We're both big eaters, but we couldn't finish everything. Our conclusion: We'll definitely be back!!

This was our first time at the Hochwälder Brauhaus. After a very short wait, we were warmly shown to our table. Ordering drinks was quick and easy, and we were given plenty of time to choose our food. The food arrived quickly, hot and delicious. The staff was always nearby, so refilling our drink orders was quick and efficient. A very pleasant atmosphere for a relaxing meal. We would gladly recommend you and will definitely come back.

I stopped here today after a short hike. It was a weekday, and the brewery wasn't too busy. The service was quick and friendly. Unfortunately, the "Saarländische Gefillde" (Saarland stuffed dumplings) I ordered weren't very good. They were rather unattractively presented in a deep plate. The taste wasn't great either; the dough was firm and needed a bit more salt. I probably won't order this dish again on a future visit.

Attentive service, very friendly. However, one star deducted because the question about which brand of sparkling water they sell couldn't be answered. The food was okay, but not exactly mind-blowing, and it arrived less than five minutes after ordering. Venison goulash was nice and hearty, red cabbage was dry, and spaetzle was okay. Regarding the "Stippchen" (small sardines): not very attractively presented, the "Stippchen" itself was okay, the bacon cream sauce was mediocre, and the sauerkraut was dry – a real shame. The ambiance lost one star because, despite the brewing kettle, the brewery charm was lost.

We stopped by today at short notice. Without a reservation. It would have been better to make a reservation today... nice weather and a weekend = very busy. Nevertheless, we were given a very friendly welcome by the very nice, slightly older waitresses. A table was quickly made available for us. We instructed the younger staff to clear the table (the table had just been freed up again), and we had our table in no time. The younger staff couldn't find a solution at first... The food was very good, the drinks (their own freshly tapped beer) were also very tasty, and the service, again in the somewhat older setting, was excellent. Unobtrusive but very attentive and very friendly. Big compliments to them! We had various schnitzels for dinner, all of which were very good, especially fresh schnitzels and not pre-made industrial patties. My Lyoner was very tasty, and the fried potatoes were also very tasty. Everything was also very filling. My wife and I regularly eat at the Hochwälder Brauhaus. We love the schnitzel and the salads they offer! Our "favorite salad" has become the one with salmon and rösti! What we like so much about the Hochwälder Brauhaus is the consistent quality of the food. The value for money is excellent! The service is consistently friendly and attentive! Very nice brewery. We only had a few drinks, but all the dishes from the kitchen looked appealing. A nice beer garden to relax in.

We had the schnitzel in pepper cream sauce and Saarland potato strips in cream and bacon sauce with sauerkraut. The portions were very large. The schnitzel was unfortunately a bit thick and sometimes tough, but cooked well. The rest of the dishes were good. The service struggled with the large number of people, and there were sometimes long waits to pay.

H MEN'S RESTROOMS: OUT OF 5 restrooms, 3 are broken, one without a lid. 4 sinks and 4 soap dispensers, 1 works. 4 faucets, one is completely broken, another doesn't work. The floor in the bar area is very dirty. I was there for the last time. I complained to the waitress, but she didn't care, she said she was going to the women's restroom.

There were eight of us here, including three dogs. Dogs are not a problem here. The restaurant is nice, but despite the moderate outside temperature, it was quite stuffy. After looking at some reviews and photos, many of which are quick to the point and interesting, others rather long-winded, not to mention boring, I think the kitchen didn't have a good day yesterday. I ordered Saarland-style stuffed meats, but what arrived in a squashed, deep plate wasn't really distinguishable, but hunger mostly "drove it down." Great atmosphere and everything was very clean. The drinks and food were very, very tasty. The schnitzel was portioned just right, and the salad was generously topped. There is a very small criticism of the menu; it could be a bit more detailed. For example, I don't know what "stuffed" items are. I'd like to address Juliet JULIET's review from a week ago: We often go to the brewery for dinner, and there are always guests with dogs. This evening alone, five owners were there with their dogs. There's a "dog bar" in the entrance area, and water is sometimes brought to the table for our four-legged friends. DOGS ARE WELCOME THERE. Secondly: Construction fences aren't outside, and you don't have to leave the brewery because of them. I don't know why anyone would leave such an inappropriate comment. Probably just to damage the business for some reason. And finally: the food and service were great again 👍

I visited the brewery in Losheim last Wednesday and was pleasantly surprised. It's very nice and cozy inside, and outside you can sit under old trees on a truly beautiful terrace. As a visitor to the area I expected a Beer Hall, Brauhaus, to serve good beer and decent but quick food. What a disappointment this place was. It is not dog friendly as you have to go round the back in the shabby beer garden surrounded by builders fencing. There are no views of the lake here. The server, who was very cold and unfriendly brought the menus which were a bit posh and pricy for a Brauhaus and did not have anything we really wanted. She took our orders for a small beer and a large Coke. She brought the drinks out fairly quickly and asked if we wanted to order food which we didn't, coldly gave us the bill and we paid over 8 euros for them. She promptly left. The small beer was indeed small. The Coke was brought with no ice, certainly no slice and absolutely zero bubbles. It was totally flat (a bit like the service). When we saw the server again and complained we got an insincere sorry and shown out of the beer garden via the builders fencing as if we were something to be hidden away from the rest of the customers. Absolutely shameful service and I regret even stepping foot in this place.

Saarland tarte flambée is really great!

We were here on a sunny Sunday and sat in the lovely beer garden. The dishes, a venison burger and a Hungarian-style schnitzel, were very substantial, so everyone was sure to be full. We had fried potatoes with the schnitzel, but some of them were very blackened. The meat in the venison burger was also a bit dry. Both were still of solid quality, but there was room for improvement.

Despite the negative reviews, which we find completely incomprehensible, the four of us spent a wonderful evening here! The food was excellent, the service prompt and genuinely friendly. Our small special requests were easily accommodated. The ambiance was very nice and clean. Overall, full marks and highly recommended.

We visited the brewery and were thoroughly impressed. We particularly like the fried potatoes – crispy, golden brown, and simply heavenly. I had the pepper cream schnitzel, which was delicious – with a little more pepper and a more intense sauce, it would have been perfect, but that's a matter of taste. A very special compliment goes to the outstanding waitress outside: An older lady with long blonde hair, red glasses, and a cap – she practically managed the entire outdoor area single-handedly, and did so with a friendliness and efficiency we've rarely experienced. Respect and a huge compliment! Great food, beautiful location, and exceptional service – we'll definitely be back! 🌞🍽️

We took advantage of the opportunity to reserve a table online. Since we made the reservation late in the evening for the following lunchtime, it wasn't entirely clear whether the reservation would still be accepted. The confirmation that it had been accepted arrived promptly the next morning. The reservation was important to us because we had a long hike planned and would definitely arrive hungry. We were absolutely thrilled with the venison goulash and the schnitzel version. The price/performance ratio was also very good. The service was fast and very friendly. We would be happy to come back. I do have one suggestion, though... the slamming of the door (broken lock) to the terrace every time staff walks by (it feels like every 45 seconds) is very loud and annoying. It's a small thing, you'll get it done.

Nice ambiance but very poor service. We waited over an hour for our food, and the worst part was that the two children got their food about 20 minutes later, and they were two regular burgers. This service was simply unacceptable. After inquiring about the food, we were simply told, "You can see it's busy."
