Wollte meinen Geburtstag hier feiern. Aber leider sind in dieser Gastronomie fast nur unfähige ,unflexibel und fast schon unverschämte Servicemitarbeiter beschäftigt. Schade

Tolles Ambiente, sehr freundliche Bedienungen und das Essen war auch top. Wir kommen gerne wieder und Rocker's ist definitiv zu empfehlen.

Ich war vor Kurzem im Historischen Gasthaus zum Rockenbrunnen und kann es wirklich nur weiterempfehlen! Das Wildschwein-Scheuferla ist ein absolutes Highlight – unglaublich zart und geschmacklich einfach top. Besonders positiv aufgefallen ist mir auch, dass man nicht lange auf sein Essen warten muss, selbst wenn es etwas voller ist. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, man fühlt sich direkt willkommen. Dazu kommt die richtig schöne, gemütliche Atmosphäre, die perfekt zum historischen Ambiente passt. Insgesamt ein rundum gelungener Besuch – ich komme definitiv wieder! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Wir verlassen nun das Restaurant und ich muss sagen, dass es uns wirklich sehr gut gefallen hat. Die Portionen waren riesig und die Atmosphäre einfach himmlisch. Der Service war sehr freundlich, obwohl das Restaurant komplett ausgebucht war.

Auf dem Weg nach Nürnberg hier zufällig angehalten. Tolles Lokal, gutes regionales Essen und super freundliche Bedienung. Ich fahr jährlich zur Messe nach Nürnberg und werde hier jetzt immer einkehren.

Die Location ist alles hier. Besonders im Sommer. Der Räume innen sind zu eng für meine empfinden, zu viele Tische und man sitz fast mit dem Nachbar am Tisch. Das Essen ist durchschnitt, nicht besonders aber auch nicht schlecht. Kann man essen, würde aber nicht unbedingt nur für das Essen kommen. Der Besuch ist auch sehr Cafeteria style gemacht es gibt 2 mittags "schichten" und man kann nur zu um 1130 oder 1330 reservieren.

Hervorragendes Gasthaus mit einem tollen Ambiente und sehr freundlichen, schnellen Service. Etwas abseits, aber trotzdem voll. Wirklich tolles, schmackhaftes und gut bürgerliches Essen. Wir waren im Winter dort, jedoch ist der Biergarten im Außenbereich im Sommer sicherlich ein Traum.

Ein fränkisches Gasthaus wie man es si h wünscht.

Der Ort ist ideal, um die lokale Küche und das hervorragende Bier aus der Region zu probieren. Absolut empfehlenswert! (Manche Gäste an den Nachbartischen kommen wahrscheinlich schon seit 40-50 Jahren jede Woche hierher.) Wirklich sehr gut.

Ein wunderschönes altes "Wirtshaus" im allerbesten Sinn. Wir waren mit einer Geburtstagsgesellschaft hier und hatten einen wunderschönen Abend. Leckeres Essen und ein aufmerksamer Service rundeten das Ganze ab. Im Sommer ist der Biergarten im Hof das Highlight...

Wunderbarer Salatteller bestehend aus verschiedenen frischen Salaten mit feinen Dressings und gut gewürzten Hähnchenstücken; die Pommes sind knusprig und lecker. Das Ambiente urig und gemütlich - im Nebenzimmer mit Holz beheiztem Schwedenofen. Die Kellnerinnen sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder !

Historisches Gasthaus zum Rockenbrunn ist ein sehr gutes Restaurant mit freundlichem Service. Die Roulade war ausgezeichnet. Obwohl wir ohne Reservierung kamen, hat uns eine sehr freundliche Dame zunächst ca. 15 Minuten gemütlich spazieren geschickt, und danach stand der Tisch schon bereit. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Essen und Ambiente wirklich sehr gut. Super freundlicher Service. Leider im Gastraum recht kalt, wenn man die Plätze gegenüber der Eingangstür hat. Einzige Kritik betrifft die Marillenknödel, nicht selbstgemacht. Leberknödelsuppe und Sauerbraten dafür richtig lecker.

Avoid a table upstairs, as they are rarely found. Despite this, the service was friendly. Unfortunately, the baked carp didn't impress us. The side salad, however, was sensational!

Unfortunately, we were there in the evening and couldn't see the grounds. The interior is indeed very historic and has a hunting lodge charm. They offer classic game and fish dishes, as well as some traditional home-style cooking. The food was good to very good. The atmosphere was cozy, and the service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming.

We called spontaneously today to make a reservation. We were politely informed that there were three private events and only outdoor seating was available. We arrived 30 minutes early, but the welcome was friendly and it wasn't a problem. The food is fantastic, the best galas we've had in a long time! The salad, dressing, soup, and sauce all taste homemade without any additives. The price/performance ratio is excellent. Great, friendly staff and a fantastic atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

A beautiful sandstone house, several rooms with a cozy atmosphere in the restaurant, very good Franconian food and solid beer. Above all, they offer seasonal cuisine. Excellent service as well. Highly recommended!

There were six of us upstairs, where the waitresses were sporadically available. The other five were very satisfied with their dishes; I had a baked carp and found the breading far too greasy. It's a shame, because Roggers is actually known for its carp.

My wife and I were there on a Saturday evening. Food: The meat (cordon bleu, farmer's cutlet) was excellent, but the potato salad was so cold it almost gave me a toothache. Service: Extremely friendly staff. Waiting time: Was the big downside. We waited about 20 minutes before anyone even showed up, and after ordering, another hour for the food to arrive.

The food, whether venison, fish, or knuckle and ham, was delicious. However, we had to wait over an hour for our food.

Yesterday, three of us went for lunch without a reservation. The reception: take your time, they have a limited staff (literally). It went quickly after all, and the food was really very good and the portions were plentiful. Then, while paying at the counter, I asked for a reservation in a month's time. I'd already sent two emails about it, which had never been answered, but I was told the manager doesn't have time. So why does he have one? When he came out of the kitchen because of the reservation, he was visibly annoyed. He then made a few other comments that led to us holding our family celebration somewhere else. It's a shame, a great historic inn, but unfortunately the owner doesn't have much passion.

Food good, ambience great, service friendly but in the next room a little rarely available

We're thrilled: beautiful ambiance, friendly and fast service despite a full house, and even three delicious vegetarian dishes on the weekly menu! That's rare in this area. Only the parking is a bit tricky. But it's worth the search. We'd love to come back.

The restaurant at my hotel, which was within walking distance, was closed. I had two options: a kebab shop or this inn. Inspired by the name, I chose the historic inn. I was greeted by a young man who was up to the task (compare the 1-star rating). The restaurant was busy (always a good sign!), the food met my high expectations, and I received very friendly service. What more could you want? I found the value for money to be very good. Thank you so much for the excellent service! I'd love to come back!

We were there as a group of 14 people. Unfortunately, we were split between two tables on the first floor because apparently nothing else was available (despite prior reservations). I had a cordon bleu, which was not at all good value for money. At first, I thought I had accidentally ordered a children's plate because it was so small. The end of a ham was hidden in the cordon bleu. It was 5 mm thick and only half the size of the schnitzel. So they cut costs quite a bit.

Beautiful place, you can pick your own fish from the pond. The food is outstanding. Be careful, though! It can get hectic at times because it's so popular.

We had come from Upper Bavaria and were on our way home. Unfortunately, we arrived at 9:05 p.m. and weren't given anything to eat, not even cold food. A young man told us this very casually, without losing his gaze. Unfortunately, that doesn't have much to do with hospitality. Young man, if you were born here, it's not your calling. What a pity!

A reservation was made for us upstairs. Placing an order was almost impossible. The schnitzel was thin and burnt. The fish was dripping with fat. We had to eat without drinks. Payment didn't work due to a computer error. Four of us had to wait half an hour standing in front of the cash register until we were paid. TIP: Please don't make a reservation if we don't have capacity. We had visitors from abroad and wanted to show off something special, but it went completely wrong. A real shame.

The 3 points are purely for the unique ambiance. The staff is rude to the max—I've rarely experienced anything so unfriendly. And by 7 p.m. (during the week), all the Franconian delicacies were gone, including the beer. (They must have been trying to empty their fridge.)

A Franconian gem, if you will. Everything fits perfectly. Without a reservation, there's absolutely no chance. I had the classic Schäufala. Perfect.

We (unfortunately) only had a few drinks there and were very impressed by the unique ambiance with its beautiful lighting in the historic courtyard. Next time, we'll definitely have dinner.

Our favorite summer spot. Always busy, the historic courtyard is a dream, the cuisine is regional and delicious, and only locally sourced ingredients are used. Always worth a visit.

A wonderful restaurant with a particularly historic ambiance, a lovely courtyard with a fish pond in the middle. The dining room and adjoining rooms are also pleasant. The service was friendly at first, but then became noticeably irritated. The food was very tasty. The schnitzel with potato salad and fries, as well as the cordon bleu and shoulder of pork. We also found the side salad very tasty. Good value for money. Parking is available in front of the door.

Wow, what a wonderful place. We actually wanted to go somewhere else, but it was full, so we found this gem. Great ambiance in historic surroundings, good food, and reasonable prices. Yes, the service seemed a bit disorganized at times, but was always friendly and helpful – all in all, a definite recommendation.

I stayed on 6.6.2025. in Rockenbrunn. Everything was at the highest level, the food was excellent, the drinks were top-notch (especially the pear brandy), the ambiance was to be desired. Had a table for 10 people on Easter Monday. Service and friendliness cannot be beat. Chapeau Where I was personally disappointed was the meatloaf. I wanted to order it twice, but according to the waitress, it's only available once. Then suddenly there are two more. The slice of meatloaf was really thin, in my opinion two portions were made from one portion, but of course the price remained the same. Compared to the other portions (schnitzel, Schäufele, etc.) this was a children's plate. Not nice. . .

Good middle-class inn in a rustic Franconian atmosphere

It's a shame that there are still hardly any vegetarian dishes in the country. In 2025, plant-based choices should be a given - out of consideration for the environment, animals and the lifestyles of many people. I hope something moves soon.

Went to dinner with you on April 13th, 2025. Despite busy times completely friendly and Attentive, with such a full house it's hard to imagine. The Schäuferla....., ....actually indescribable, "A dream" isn't enough, but I can't think of anything better, sorry! Would like to go with the people you know Complete Arnie's sentence: "I'll be back!" But for me it doesn't take two Years, like Arnie! Thank you very much!!!!!!!
