If you are looking for a rustic inn, this is the right place for you. The Franconian bratwursts are definitely recommended, and you can't even leave out the bread that goes with them. Of course I recommend the beer garden in summer. It can get very crowded in winter, but there are also alternative options upstairs.

This old inn is always an experience. We have known it for over 40 years! Although it has changed due to the change of ownership (no longer a village pub / although the food and friendliness was also great in the village pub) but now it is simply a well-kept restaurant with really good food.

Simply the great classic! The location is simply unique, the portion is generous and tastes great and one of the few restaurants with a fair price-performance ratio. I've been going to Rogers since I was a kid and I won't stop!

Unfortunately our visit to this restaurant was a complete disappointment. We waited two whole hours for our food and nothing came. During this time no one apologized or asked if we wanted to order any more drinks. The service was simply non-existent. Other guests received their meals in the meantime, even though they were seated much later than us. After two hours of frustration and no food, we finally decided to pay and leave the restaurant. No attempt to save the situation, no explanation - completely unprofessional. We are more than dissatisfied and will definitely not be coming back. I cannot recommend this restaurant! (Aside from asking for a high chair for the baby and only getting it after about 1.5 hours?!)

We were looking forward to a meal together with the family and were mercilessly disappointed. We had reserved the table for 1:15 p.m. At 3 p.m. we paid for the drinks and left without eating because the dishes we ordered didn't come. Strangely, guests at the surrounding tables, who arrived much later than us, ordered, ate and in some cases already paid during the time we were there. On the way out, dishes like we ordered were handed out to other tables. So the kitchen had capacity. I don't think we misbehaved, I think we were very patient until 3 p.m. This guesthouse is no longer an option for us. They'll never see us again.

Visited 9/15/24, 4 adults, about 18 Good address for home-style dining. Not outstanding, but tasty and plentiful. Service was very friendly and quick, and despite the wedding party upstairs there was only a short time between ordering and serving. You should probably make a reservation on the weekend - the restaurant was full. Card payment possible. Recommended address, we will be back!

Without a reservation, we were very lucky - we had it 😉 The food was very good and the price-performance ratio was absolutely fine. We had roulades and venison and both were really delicious. The salad is also tasty - not a classic side salad, but a really tasty endive salad. All in all highly recommended.

Kirchweih in Rockenbrunn. Unfortunately bad weather on Sunday, no one can do anything about it. Beer 6€, that's pretty steep, the other drinks weren't a bargain either. And there was no sight or sound of the announced live music.

Historical inn is not the case, but in need of renovation! Roof tiles can no longer be seen because of the moss. Furnishings are more dated than historic. Musty smell in the inn, a very pungent smell of urine in the toilets. The waiter walked past the table a few times without asking if we would like something else to drink. Normally it is common practice in inns that when the glass is empty the guest is asked for a drink. Fries served in a frying basket instead of nicely arranged on the plate, which is to be expected given the prices! Ordered dumpling with sauce, dumpling floating in the sauce, more sauce than dumpling, otherwise the food was okay, I've eaten better before but sometimes worse.

We were here with 12 people to celebrate our birthday. When the drinks arrived, 1/4 of 3 wheat were restricted to below the calibration mark. When I asked that it wasn't properly restricted, the waitress was very cheeky and said that it wasn't restricted. After a while the food was picked up, the food came pretty quickly. But the portions for cordon bleu were very small, fries were lukewarm, fish was dry, Balkan skewers were fine, veal goulash tasted like a can (metal taste), salad was the best. Prices are outrageous for this food. I'm from the catering industry myself but something like that doesn't work. Not to be missed!!!

Were there yesterday on Kärwa. 5 euros for 500ml of water is quite impressive. Inflation...blah blah blubb. I'll save myself from publishing the remaining (food) prices here. That would be almost detrimental to business.

I haven't eaten so well in a pub for a long time. The great ambience and location of this old inn is something special. The roast venison with chanterelles and loos tastes like a dream. Kaiserschmarrn is a highlight as a dessert. Price performance absolutely justified. Please continue. We'd love to come back.

A great old building with a picturesque courtyard. It's worth a visit in and of itself - if only because of the filming location for the Frankentatort. But it's also a great guesthouse. A striking number of agile service staff who serve the guests in an exemplary manner. No trace of a shortage of skilled workers. Daily, weekly and menu options offer a wide range of options for everyone. My pike perch with chanterelles and side salad was excellent. My companions were also extremely satisfied. The integration into Franconian culture is also pleasing; The local church fair takes place here in mid-August. The only point of criticism is the limited availability of parking spaces. Reservations recommended.

We chose this restaurant purely based on its website. Luckily, thanks to the dedicated wait staff, we got a seat in the external beer garden. All the food was really very good and a lot. The staff was extremely committed. Thank you for this wonderful evening and especially for the effort in finding a place for each guest.

We passed here by chance on a cycling tour through Franconia. The great meal with naturally cloudy beer in a magical setting was an experience for us that we will not forget. I would give 10 stars for the ambience. Thanks also to the friendly staff.

Went there for dinner for the first time today. The food itself was 1a, I have never had a better Schäuferla anywhere. The rest couldn't have been prepared better. Despite the huge rush, service was always attentive and friendly, and there is nothing to complain about here either. You can't say a bad word about the ambience... very romantic with a fish pond in the middle, so the children were also distracted. Therefore a full 5 stars from me, we will definitely be back 👍

We used to eat here as children. Today we are a generation ahead and it is still as idyllic as it used to be. The portions have become a little smaller and the prices a little higher. The service staff meets you at eye level. There is also absolutely nothing to complain about in terms of taste

We were here for the first time but definitely not the last! The food was excellent. We had zander with chanterelles, rarely eating such a tasty fish. Kudos also to the very friendly staff. As a former restaurateur, I can very well judge that an excellent job is being done here. Wish the operator all the best! Unfortunately, there aren't many restaurateurs that offer good cuisine anymore, and this is one of them. I would also like to mention the great setting in this historic inn.

We had booked a separate room in the restaurant for our daughter's communion. Unfortunately we were seated in the normal restaurant area, even though we were shown and assured of the extra room. What was particularly annoying was that no one thought it necessary to inform us in advance that the extra room had been given to someone else. On the day of booking we had access to the calendar and no other celebration was listed there. We had expressly emphasized that an extra room for the celebrations was very important to us and otherwise we would have gone somewhere else. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was not satisfactory. The schnitzels were tough and difficult to cut. We were also charged a high fee for setting the table, which was not clearly communicated to us in advance. The worst thing, however, was that no one commented on the grievances. We didn't want to address these points on Communion Day so as not to further ruin the day. Even an email requesting comment has not been responded to to date. These negative experiences significantly affected our special day and spoiled the joy of our daughter's communion. Unfortunately, based on these experiences, we cannot recommend this restaurant. Update: After we complained in writing, the boss contacted us personally. Our emails were not answered satisfactorily, and compensation (which we had mentioned in the first email) was offered after several back and forths, but we then rejected it. This should have been taken for granted after our first email. It is unfortunate to note that despite our efforts to provide constructive criticism, we lack the professionalism to respond appropriately. We wish future guests a more pleasant and hassle-free stay, where their needs are respected and adequately addressed.

The service was very friendly even though it was very busy. The food was very tasty. The schnitzel with potato salad and also the cheese pätzle. We also found the side salad particularly good. Very good value for money. There is also a fairly large parking lot opposite.

An absolute insider tip! If the weather is right, a nice bike ride from Nuremberg to Rockenbrunn. The food is simply delicious, the service is perfect and the prices are affordable even for a simple employee. Go and enjoy the place. Absolute risk of repetition.

I ate asparagus with potatoes and hollondaise sauce. The food itself was very tasty. However, I think it's a shame that this dish didn't come with a side salad. I was the only one at the entire table who didn't have one and had to watch the others eat the appetizer.

Old historic inn with a great courtyard, with a large water basin full of trout, carp and a catfish. The fish are freshly caught for consumption. The other dishes are also excellent and good portions. And it's still cheap, definitely stop by if you have time.

I was here about 2 years ago with the whole family. When we arrived there were some minor difficulties in getting a high chair for the toddler. The food came - and I don't think I need to say this - too quickly. We had barely had our drinks when everything came together: soups, salads, roasts, whether starter or main course, everything came in one fell swoop. The table was so full that we had to use an empty neighboring table to accommodate everything. I admire the quick service, but when the soup comes with the main course, you hardly have the option of eating both while it's warm. Dessert and coffee took a relatively long time. Despite the fact that we left a tip of over 10% on the total bill of more than €200, we were summoned to the parking lot again because the waitress had forgotten to add one of the coffees to the bill. As a gesture of goodwill, you could have easily deducted a few euros from your tip instead of appearing so unprofessional. The food was plentiful, the portions were large, so no one left the restaurant hungry. In general, the food was good, but I didn't find enough spices either in the food or at the table (but perhaps we left them out for reasons of space). I can't say much about the atmosphere. It was cold and rainy, so I didn't spend much time looking at it from the outside. There were a lot of loose stone slabs leaning against the wall in the restaurant, possibly due to renovation work, which was noticed negatively because one of them tipped over twice while we were there.

We came with a group of 19 people. Our seats were reserved at a long table upstairs. The service was quick, the food was good and tasty and you were well satisfied, at current prices.

Today we had dinner here again for the first time in about 50 years. Our waitress was extremely friendly and took a moment to answer our questions. The food is very good and inexpensive and the portions are pleasantly large. We'll be happy to come back, but we don't want to wait that long this time.

I ate an excellent onion roast here. The dessert, Kaiserschmarrn, was also great. The restaurant was packed and yet the service did a great job!

Rustikale Gaststätte, gutes Essen, Zoigl-Bier war gut, der Preis wohl angemessen.

Essen ist jedes Mal super lecker und die Bedienungen absolut auf zack, auch wenn die "Bude" voll ist 👍🏻 Und das Ambiente ist ebenfalls sehr schön urig :) Wir kehren immer wieder gerne im Rockers ein!

Leckeres Essen in schönem Gemäuer. Selbst abends am 2. Weihnachtsfeiertag noch alles von der Karte bestellbar.
