Historisches Gasthaus Trompeter seit 1870 in Dresden

Drinking coffee and eating cake doesn't seem to be the restaurant's main focus. First came the coffee, which was already drunk because otherwise it would have gone cold, and then, at some point, the cake arrived. The à la carte dinner was good, but the prices were lower.

The restaurant refused us even though its room was empty and at 9 p.m. when it announced open until 10:30 p.m....

A great inn with professional service and very tasty sauerbraten, spicy meat and very good cauliflower coconut soup. Absolutely recommended!!!

Das sehr junge Servicepersonal war freundlich, nett und auch bemüht. Das sie uns 30 Minuten lang übersehen haben bis wir die Getränke bestellen konnten, nehme ich nicht übel, da einiges an Sylvester los war. Der an einem Bild angepriesene "Beste Sauerbraten der Stadt" war eine Enttäuschung, da hier die Messlatte eindeutig zu hoch gelegt wurde. Das Fleisch war zwar durch, aber für ein Schmorgericht an der Grenze und ziemlich bissfest. Die Soße bestand aus einem winzigen Klecks und definitiv zu wenig. Rotkohl gut, aber verbesserungswürdig. Klöße waren lecker. Meine Frau hatte Gänsebrust für 29€: Unter der zu wenig knusprigen Haut befand sich eine dicke Schicht mit weißen lapprigen Fett, der nicht genießbar war. Ob dieses gute und teure Stück Fleisch genügend Oberhitze bekam, ist sehr fraglich. Auch hier viel zu wenig Soße. Ein No-Go ist für uns, dass die nachbestellten Soßen für beide Gerichte jeweils mit 3 € zusätzlich berechnet wurden, zumal ich eine Rahmsoße nachgeliefert bekam (zu spät gemerkt nach dem eingießen auf dem Teller) und keine Sauerbratensoße! Meine Nachspeise, Quarkkeulchen, waren zwar hausgemacht, jedoch lauwarm und in der Mitte klebrig. Ich hatte den Eindruck, dass diese schon längere Zeit vorproduziert wurden und dann erwärmt wurden (war da vielleicht eine Mikrowelle im Einsatz)? Fazit: Das Gasthaus wirbt mit Sieger im Wettbewerb: "Mein Lokal Dein Lokal" und kommt diesen Anspruch nur mit den Preisen nach. Sehr Schade!

Sauerbraten ist ein marinierter Schmorbraten. Das Fleisch sollte sich mit der Gabel aufteilen lassen und nicht zäh sein. Thüringer Klöse sollten locker sein, das verwendete Convinient-Produkt war sehr fest. Die Gänsekeule war geschmacklos, die Sosse zu wenig. Die zusätzlich bestellte stand dann mit drei Euro auf der Rechnung. Das alles sollte besser gehen.

We had a lovely afternoon, the inn is very cozy, the service was super friendly. The drinks and food came very quickly. The red cabbage wasn't really my cup of tea but that probably depends on the taste. The inn is definitely recommended.

The historic inn "Trampeter" is a wonderful place that perfectly combines tradition and enjoyment. The seasonal dishes are always freshly prepared and taste fantastic - we really value quality here! What's particularly nice is that the inn is owner-managed. The owners are on site every day, look after the guests attentively and ensure a warm atmosphere. Whether for a special occasion or simply a cozy meal, you will feel completely at home here. A real highlight for lovers of good cuisine and hospitality. Five stars – absolutely deserved!

Warm welcome, despite our early arrival. The food and service were outstanding! Above all, there was a large selection of drinks. The children were also thought of with cool painting tablets. Highly recommended!

I think the pictures speak for themselves in terms of quality, everything was 1 A+*!!! I have rarely felt as comfortable in a restaurant as I did with you. A wonderful ambience and fantastic service. In addition, German cuisine at a high level brought into the modern. The selection of wine was also perfectly matched to the dishes. For me, everything is just right here and we will definitely come back again and again. Many thanks again especially to the nice and courteous service, you make the whole thing something very special with your appearance! We saw the boss briefly 😁 but I didn't dare ask for a selfie. Top restaurant! Went there for the first time and absolutely loved it! I'm actually not a schnitzel fan at all...BUT it was simply delicious! Service was super friendly and attentive but not intrusive. Will come again! :)

Everything is consistent, absolutely recommended.

Our first visit since 1989. Basically, we and our visitors were satisfied with the overall trumpeter package for this evening. Unfortunately, the sauerbraten we ordered was not convincing. The much-praised “Saxon Sauerbraten” were two dry, almost hard pieces of roast beef. (close to the limit for a complaint) Luckily the other dishes we ordered were roast pork. This was very good quality. We found it disappointing that the roast pork was served with the same dark sauce as the sauerbraten, especially since the aforementioned sauerbraten had very little to do with a sauerbraten. (according to the assessment of a 50-year-old woman from Dresden, who was certainly able to give a competent assessment) Also because of the rather inconvenient guest parking spaces, this restaurant can only be recommended to a limited extent.

The cake wasn't that special. It wasn't anything special, I expected more. The ice cream sundae was better.

This restaurant won last year on Mike Süßer’s show “My Local, Your Local”. I can't understand it, I assume that a chef was recruited specifically for this. We were eating at the restaurant on Schnitzel Day. There was a beer on the house, so far so good. The schnitzel was served with a spoiled salad. Unfortunately, the service didn't have an eye for it and brought the schnitzel with the disgusting salad to the table. We immediately complained about this salad and we got a fresh salad and the same schnitzel back. The schnitzel was a maximum of approx. 2 mm thick, but the panco breading was much thicker at approx. 1 cm. Since the schnitzel is due to the “salad change” As it had already cooled noticeably, over time it tasted like old fat. When I picked up the schnitzel I saw the rotten salad, which completely spoiled my appetite. The paper-thick schnitzel came back almost untouched. I absolutely cannot recommend this place, every fast food restaurant is certainly of a higher standard. An addendum to your answer: If you put the spoiled salad next to and under the schnitzel, you should be ashamed of yourself as a restaurateur and chef. My review is not a smear but represents our feelings. Absurd and cheeky, I don't understand why they changed the salad if our complaint was not justified. Not everyone can handle legitimate criticism, they are a good example of this. If you had delivered decent goods, I would have written a completely different review, why should I write a bad review if everything had been fine. I will definitely not be entering your restaurant again, I assure you. Mistakes like this only happen to me once. PS: Since you as the owner handed over the extra thin schnitzels with the disgusting salad to the service, it is clear to me that the waiter couldn't say anything against it. The service gets full marks from me because it tried very hard to rectify the situation. Have a nice day and see you and your team again.

A very nice place, a cozy restaurant. Interesting food offerings

We were guests there for two days and were served perfectly on both days and were impressed by the delicious food. On schnitzel day, Thursday, there is a fresh cold beer with the schnitzel. The schnitzel is large, tender with a perfect breading. We recommend the lukewarm potato salad! The sauerbraten was also delicious. The beer garden is totally cozy. A restaurant, absolutely recommended

From the first hello from the friendly owner to the goodbye, it was a completely successful evening. The staff is friendly, courteous and, above all, competent. The portions are reasonable for the price and tasty. The drinks are well tempered and, above all, the air is quickly released from the glass. I had already mentioned one small point of criticism in the comments: And those are the toilets, for us men it's not a problem for the small business, but if you want to go for the bigger one it gets very tight. However, there would be no reason not to visit the restaurant again.

An address in Dresden!! Super good cuisine, portions very generous. The staff is always there to ask questions and is very accommodating. Anyone who likes “good home cooking” is in good hands here. Not only the current menu is particularly recommended, but also all “special offers” during the week and seasonally. Great, the guest is still a guest here and is cooked for and treated like that!!! Keep it up!!!

Very nice atmosphere, difficult to find parking

We've wanted to eat here for a long time. On Friday the time had come. I had reserved a table for two people in advance for the early evening. We were greeted very friendly. Due to the uncertain weather conditions, we decided not to go to the beer garden, but rather took a seat in the beautifully designed guest room.  We quickly held the menu cards in our hands and just as quickly decided on a schnitzel with bacon and potato salad and leaf salad. As for drinks, we felt like beer. The decision was almost made for us. There was a welcome beer from CZ in a cute little glass. It was tasty and so we ordered two of them in normal size and didn't have to wait long for them. The ordered food was served in a reasonable time. The schnitzels were very large. Even though they were very thin, you could taste the meat. The bacon and potato salad was slightly tempered and very tasty. We were also impressed by the leaf lettuce with its subtle dressing. So there was nothing wrong with this dish. We weren't asked in between if everything was okay. After dinner we were hungry for a second beer. The staff only noticed us again after a long time. The beer itself was then served quickly. We found the prices to be appropriate. 20 euros for a schnitzel of this quality is definitely not too much. I do have one point of criticism, however. The cubicles in the women's toilet are so narrow that you are literally squeezed between the cubicle door and the toilet bowl. I don't understand what they were thinking here. These toilets can be a real problem for some people. The parking lot is not suitable for the size of the restaurant. Yes, I wouldn't base another visit on that. We say thank you.

A very cozy inn. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was very tasty and given the size of the meal, you should be very hungry.

You feel like you're in good hands in this traditional restaurant. There were still a few places available around 6 p.m. on the weekend; After that it became increasingly crowded. We really enjoyed the food and wine, and special requests were accommodated without any fuss. The strikingly young waiters were very hard-working, attentive and competent. The music playing in the background had something like good bar music. Overall, a relaxed atmosphere, even when the house was full. Simply to feel good.

At the invitation of "Grandma's birthday" the 17 of us went to lunch in the garden restaurant. Even if the portions of the main courses are manageable, the ambience, free parking and warm, courteous service make it worth coming here again.

Driving from one end of the city to the other to have a good meal? Yes, you should do that! We ate here on Mother's Day evening and the long journey was worth it. The ambience outside and inside makes you feel good, the homemade lemonade is a dream and the meat is tender as butter. Mr. Flügge knows a thing or two about his craft and has rightly become a two-time winner at my local your local and you can't complain if the food takes a little longer to arrive, after all, they still cook properly here! Wow! What a fantastic kitchen. Incredibly delicious and absolutely authentic. There were four of us there and no matter whether it was trout or meat dishes, the kitchen was just above the star. Really more than recommended. The service is simply great. Friendly, competent, exactly appropriate and professional. We will definitely come back here. German cuisine at a high level. Compliment!

Great ambience, nice terrace behind the inn, free parking, great service. The drink selection is very good, they also offer a huge selection of non-alcoholic drinks, by that I mean long drinks, wine etc. Unfortunately we weren't happy with the food! We had 5 meals at the table and none of them were 100% convincing. Price performance is not right here for me. Schnitzel was very oily & dark. Asparagus, on the other hand, is very good. Cheese bagel very dry. Fries were delicious, pulled pork so-so!

From 8 p.m. you could still go out to eat without stress or pre-ordering, and that on a Saturday. From starter to dessert, everything was tip top and there was nothing to complain about. We would love to come back.

It was simply excellent, the service was very friendly and pleasant, the food was a dream. We are certainly not here for the last time.

The food tastes good, but the portions get smaller every year and the prices get higher. Well over 20 euros for a manageable steak au four...you have to want that. The boss is extremely courteous, but the employees are often unfriendly and overwhelmed by situations.

Two days ago we were at the Trumpeter again after a long time. There wasn't much going on at 11:30 a.m., we had a nice table by the window. The service was good, the drinks came promptly. Unfortunately, the food took a while to arrive (40 minutes are just manageable, with an almost empty restaurant). The food was really very good, there are only two very small points of criticism, with the red cabbage you should be careful not to use too much broth It comes onto the plate and mixes with the sauce from the sauerbraten, which is/was a bit of a shame. The "Viennese style" schnitzel was really very good, only garnished in a minimalist way. I would perhaps put a few cranberries on the schnitzel and add the mushrooms extra (so the fries and the schnitzel don't get soggy). In any case, the restaurant is still closed Recommend and we will visit it again often.

So I have to say the roulade was very, very tasty. Praise to the chef. The coffee tastes very strong and aromatic. Very pleasant. The ambience is a matter of taste. Keep it up, now I understand why you won your restaurant at my restaurant.

We were there a few days ago for my birthday. Quite inconspicuous from the outside and a quaint restaurant from the inside. The service was very friendly, the meal didn't take long. The dishes were plentiful and very nicely prepared. I especially liked this side salad with the schnitzel and it tasted delicious. We'll definitely come back. :)

The inn is a real gem! The cozy atmosphere, the warm hospitality of the staff and the first-class selection of food make every visit a pleasure. The traditional, cozy and yet modern furnishings of the inn give your stay a special touch. A place I highly recommend!

Für die doch gehobene Preislage, war es kein Erlebnis. Der Service wenig herzlich und keinesfalls perfekt. Alle Speisen kamen lauwarm auf den Tisch. Geschmacklich war es gut, das einzig überragende war die Creme Brulee zum Nachtisch. Fazit, ich finde es das Geld nicht wert und werde sicherlich nicht nochmal das Gasthaus besuchen.

Wir wurden durch Kabel 1 aufmerksam auf das Restaurant. Parkplätze sind ok , man kann ja in den Seiten Straßen parken. Die Begrüßung war sehr herzlich und wir wurden auch gleich zum Platz geführt. Die Servicekräfte waren jung und wahrscheinlich Azubis ,aber sie haben ihren Job super gemacht. Wir hatten den leckeren Sauerbraten der mega lecker war, das Steak ou four was leider zu trocken war, aber nicht schlimm Wir haben es angesprochen, aber dafür waren die Pommes mega 🤭. Auch das Vegetarischen Gerichte waren super lecker. Ein Besuch ist es wert.

Der wirklich große Gastraum macht einen einladenden Eindruck. Wir wurden insgesamt freundlich aber auch etwas unterkühlt von einem noch sehr jungen Kellner betreut. Erst am Ende ließ die Aufmerksamkeit deutlich nach und es war nicht ganz einfach zu bezahlen. Aber das sind Kleinigkeiten die auch von der tagesform abhängig sind. Das Bier aufs Haus in einem Schnapsglas empfand ich ein wenig peinlich. Vielleicht besser in einem 100 ml Glas...(?) aber was solls. Zum Essen bestellten wir eine klassische Gänsekeule, die nach relativ kurzer Zeit serviert wurde. Klöße und Rotkohl waren ausgezeichnet, die Gänsekeule war ok.. Leider etwas trocken, da vermutlich etwas zu lang vorgegart oder gekocht. Dann noch schnell etwas Oberhitze o.ä. zwecks Bräunung. Für ein so großes Restaurant wahrscheinlich Standart. Ich weiß auch nicht, wie man dass in einem Restaurant auf den Punkt hinbekommen soll, zumal wahrscheinlich nicht vorhersehbar ist, wieviele Keulen an einem Abend bestellt werden. Fazit die Gänsekeule für 28 € bekommt noch 4 Sterne. Die Creme brulee für 7,50 € viel jedoch komplett durch. Lieblos zubereitet und angerichtet. Da verliert man ganz unnötig Punkte. Insgesamt war der Abend aber gut. Ich komme wieder und probiere vielleicht mal das Schnitzel. Danke.

Eine wunderschöne historische Location mit hervorragenden Service - von der Bestellung an bis zu unserem Besuch im Trompeter. Wir haben zu viert Schnitzel, Steak au four und Sauerbraten gegessen. Alle Gerichte sehr schmackhaft und große Portionen. Dieses Lokal können wir unbedingt weiter empfehlen.
