​Wir waren zu dritt im Himalaya Yak Nepali Kitchen essen und sind absolut überwältigt! ​Von Anfang bis Ende war es ein fantastischer Abend: ​Das Essen: Einfach nur phänomenal! Ich hatte das Sekuwa BBQ (B2) und es war ein absoluter Traum – perfekt mariniert, unglaublich zart und mit einer tollen Grillnote. Auch das frische Naan-Brot und die anderen Gerichte waren ein Genuss. Man schmeckt die Authentizität in jedem Bissen. ​Das Ambiente: Das Restaurant ist gemütlich und einladend eingerichtet. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl. ​Der Service: Super herzlich, aufmerksam und gastfreundlich. ​Für uns steht fest: Das war garantiert nicht unser letzter Besuch. Wer authentische nepalesische Küche auf Top-Niveau sucht, ist hier genau richtig. ​Absolute Empfehlung von uns dreien! 🍢🇳🇵✨

Dieses Restaurant können wir uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Der Chef erklärt die Speisen und Anderes, wenn man fragt. Sehr freundlich wird man hier behandelt. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und authentisch. Besonders die frittierten veg. MoMo's, das Butter Chicken und unsere Suppen waren sehr lecker. Danke für die Gastfreundschaft.

Die besten Momos, die wir je gegessen haben! Wir hatten Jhol Momos und Chili Momos – ein absolutes Muss!

Wir waren schon oft da, und kommen sehr gerne immer wieder, wenn wir in der Stadt sind. Das Essen ist wirklich immer phantastisch, ich hatte noch nie etwas zu beanstanden. Service sehr freundlich und schnell. Der Laden ist nicht besonders schick, das tut in meinen Augen aber keinen Abbruch... ich möchte gerne gut essen, Ambiente ist für mich drittrangig. Auch preislich ist es dort eher sehr günstig.

Authentische nepalesische Küche, freundliche und zuvorkommende Mitarbeiter, nepalesische Hintergrundmusik, tolle Bilder und Dekoration im Zusammenhang mit Nepal. Vor allem der traditionelle, nepalesische Chiya (Gewürz-Milchtee) hat mich nach Nepal zurückversetzt, da er dort für mich zur täglichen Routine gehört hat. Ein wirklich sehr toller Ort, um ein Stück Nepal zu erleben!

Das Essen ist einfach unglaublich 😩

Sind auf Motorradtour und ziemlich in den Regen gekommen, das essen hat uns sowas von aufgewärmt. Wir haben Allerlei bestellt zum abholen und ich kann nur sagen - Schmackhaft-Würzig-gut balanciert- wäre die perfekte Beschreibung! Sehr gutes Preis/Leistungs Verhältnis und sehr nettes Personal!

Ich war schon in Nepal und es schmeckt wie dort ♥️ Ganz netter Besitzer und unglaublich leckeres Essen!

Der beste Milchtee (Masala-Tee) in Bayreuth! Und das Essen ist auch authentisch, ich meine, richtig asiatisch, hahaha! Als Liebhaberin scharfer Speisen habe ich das in Bayreuth vermisst!

Wir kamen kurz vor Ladenschluss an, aber das Essen war immer noch köstlich und der Besitzer war super herzlich und freundlich. Eines unserer Lieblingsrestaurants in Bayreuth! :)

War ganz ok. Leider fehlen auf der Speisekarte Beschreibungen u. a. auch was in den Soßen drin ist. Für Allergiker eher schlecht, da man bei jedem Gericht fragen muss, was drin ist.

Ein ganz besonderes kulinarisches Erlebnis.😋 Sehr feine Speisen und auch die Empfehlung des Küchenchefs waren absolute Spitze 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Es war ein großartiges kulinarisches Erlebnis.

Wir haben hier ein sehr schönes Date verbracht. Die Karte ist nord-indisch und nepalesisch und reich an Probiermöglichkeiten. Ich würde unbedingt die Vorspeisen empfehlen. Die nepalesischen Gerichte sind wirklich authentisch und auch die Indischen (waren selber in Nordindien unterwegs). Das Personal ist super freundlich und äußerst bemüht. Meine Empfehlung!

Wirklich unglaublich gute Momos, große Portionen, der Schärfegrad wird individuell angepasst, sehr freundliches Personal, spätes Abendessen möglich (Ankunft um 21:15 Uhr).

The food was absolutely fantastic, rich in flavor, and very delicious. You can tell the passion the food is cooked with. The hospitality was very warm and wonderful – we felt very welcome from the very beginning. The overall atmosphere is so cozy, you feel like you're at home. It was especially great that our nine-year-old son was also taken care of: the comfortable highchair made sitting very comfortable for him. This restaurant is absolutely worth the experience! I highly recommend it!

One of the best restaurants in Bayreuth! And I will say my favorite. The quality of the food is as good as the service and the price. The restaurant gives you this cozy home vibe. For me it is a 12/10.

Unassuming from the outside, the interior is also rather simple, yet lovingly and attractively designed and very well-maintained. The service is super friendly, thoughtful, and attentive. The food is – without exaggeration – spectacular. We haven't had better Nepalese food in Germany. Everything is super fresh, top quality, seasoned to perfection, every bite a little explosion. Highly recommended :) – even for gourmets who may not have ventured into South Asian/Southeast Asian cuisine before.

My husband and I visited here for the first time today. The food was incredibly good and fresh! The meat was tender and flavorful, and the staff was friendly. We're already familiar with authentic Indian cuisine, and we tasted the authenticity here as well – highly recommended!

Highly recommended! Rather unassuming from the outside, but the interior has a very nice ambiance. There were minor language difficulties with one server, who only offered orders in English, but the chef—I assume he's the owner of the restaurant—took orders very friendly. The menu included a few vegan dishes, something I rarely see. I then decided on a dish that seemed to have a bit of everything (see pictures). When I noticed a starter skewer was coming, I was delighted. It was thin Nepalese bread that reminded me of chips, with three sauces, one of which was delicious lamb. When the food finally arrived, my enthusiasm was rekindled because they served me a vegan salsa, which was very tasty. Although I forgot to mention that I don't like coriander, and it was present in some dishes, I didn't find it particularly unpleasant in terms of taste. Yes, I could taste it, and yet I was able to eat everything, and it still tasted delicious. The shop is also highly recommended in terms of price. Compared to other restaurants on the market square, it's very good value for what they offer. The restrooms are also clean and easily accessible without stairs, although the passage isn't very wide, which could be problematic for people with walkers or wheelchairs. I think I'll eat here more often, whether alone or with friends. There's a sufficient selection on the food court.

Please note: New restaurant management since July 2025 with a completely new menu. This place now truly serves some of the best curries you can find in Bayreuth and the surrounding area. Fresh and extremely aromatic. Highly recommended!

Don't order deliveries here. I waited far too long, only to receive a message from Lieferando saying my order had been canceled. Yes, it was during opening hours. Yes, the order was accepted. No, they didn't send me a message explaining why. No, they don't respond to calls either.

Momo is delicious! However, the filling is quite oily, so be careful if you don’t like this. I also tried Mango Lamm, which really tastes like mango jam, which is amazing. The shortbread that comes with it (don’t know what it’s called?) is quite delicious. Milk tea is the kind of spiced milk tea that makes people feel warm on cold winter days. The desserts are also good, there are raisins and nuts in the computer. The staff are very friendly. The overall space is not spacious, and it may be noisy when there are many people.

So delicious 😍 We ate the Mono chicken dumplings. These are the best dumplings we have ever eaten! The chicken tandoori also tasted perfect! We'll be back! The prices are also totally okay.

The momos were the best I've eaten in Germany so far! They are definitely homemade. I had the chicken “chicken” variant. Very authentic and very tasty. I would rather use them steamed, because for my taste if they are frozen (or similar, hot air or something similar, as they are not greasy) the dough becomes a bit dry. The couple who run the shop are very accommodating and nice, I will definitely come back, you rarely get such good momos/dumplings. The momo sauce was also very, very good, we had two different versions, but it was actually relatively (normally) spicy, which might not be for everyone

A small restaurant in the middle of the city. We were convinced by the good reviews and wanted to try it out. Unfortunately, that was rather disappointing. The menu was partly translated incomprehensibly, so you ordered at random. The food was nothing special and had little meat, but a lot of sauce. We had naan with garlic as a starter, which was very tasty. The main course was served with a special dry bread that was very thin and well seasoned. I had rice with lamb and spinach, you had to look for lamb. Things weren't any better for my two companions either. My blackcurrant spritzer was watery. When I asked to add a little more juice, she filled the glass but it was still watery. The staff themselves are very polite and accommodating. We always make sure that you are served immediately. All in all it was okay, but we personally don't go there anymore.

We were here for the first time today and also tried Nepalese food for the first time. That was so delicious.. we once had lamb in a spinach sauce and lamb in a mango sauce.. that was super tasty.. the service was super friendly.. We drank a very tasty cloudy shandy with it. I would have given 10 stars too. Many thanks to the team and best regards from the real north (Husum)

Personally, I found the portion sizes too small in relation to the price. Had momos and the Nepalese special menu. Not suitable for everyone in terms of taste. I don't think the atmosphere is right. You feel more like you're in a Franconian inn. All in all, it's worth it if you're looking for culinary variety.

Went to eat momo on the winter solstice! And mango mutton (the first time I tried this combination, it’s so novel! And it’s delicious, it perfectly covers the smell of mutton). There’s also rose-flavored lassi, so happy~

We ended up in the small restaurant by chance because our original destination was closed. We were greeted and served very friendly. With its vaulted cellar, the ambience seems more Franconian-rustic than Asian, but at least cozy. Since the prices are very moderate, we ordered extensively and especially tried the Nepalese specialties. Although we don't have any comparison - Nepalese food isn't something you eat very often - the food tasted very tasty, seemed freshly prepared and wasn't too spicy even for European palates. If you like Indian cuisine, you should also try Nepalese cuisine, as they are somewhat similar in terms of spice. Our special recommendation: the momos, dumplings with different fillings - very, very tasty. Worth a visit for a cozy evening with unusual food!

Much recommended. I had the privilege of trying their Nepali vegetarian thali which is served with boiled rice, mixed veggies, lentils and their traditional pickle. The taste was perfect, food was well cooked and you can get the authentic asian flavors from this cuisine . Staff was friendly, environment was clean and cozy and food was delicious of course . Would like to go again😋

Schlichtes Ambiente, etwas kleine Auswahl aber leckere Gerichte. War schön auch mal etwas unbekanntere Küchen probieren zu können. Ohne mich auszukennen wirkt das Essen auf jeden Fall authentisch. Service sehr freundlich, Preis-Leistung super.

Wir waren zum Abendessen dort und waren leider etwas enttäuscht. Das Essen war okay. Die Dips zum Papadam waren unserer Meinung nach nicht selbst gemacht. Die Cola hatte keine Kohlensäure. Unsere Gerichte kamen schnell und waren in Ordnung. Es hat aber etwas der Pfiff gefehlt. Der Reis war normaler Basmatireis. Wir kennen ihn mit Kardamom und weiteren Gewürzen und lieben den indischen Reis. Der Service war sehr nett und schnell. Das Ambiente ist nicht so gemütlich. Wir saßen neben dem Heizlüfter. Für Personen, die ab und zu indisch essen, ist es in Ordnung, aber wir haben uns aufgrund der positiven Bewertungen mehr erwartet.

Das Ambiente ist etwas schlicht, aber wir haben sehr gut gegessen. Ich war noch nie am Himalaya, aber so stelle ich mir die Küche vor. Satt und sauber fühlte ich mich direkt fit für einen Achttausender. Das Essen kam schnell, die Bedienung freundlich. Kann ich nur weiter empfehlen.

I was deployed to poland and we were moved to germany, it was almost 7 months i hadnot got chance to eat nepali food. Finally we found Himalayan restaurant.I cannot express in words how much happy i was.Food was supper delicious and testy.Service was awesome.Very good environment,very honest and lovely people.If i get chance untill i stay in germany i will go another time for sure.I recommend everyone plz visit this restaurent once and enjoy food. Very Cozy Restaurant in the Heart of Bayreuth, They serve delicious and Authentic Food prepared with Himalayan Spices and Herbs. A must visit Place for Mountain/Nepal lovers and enthusiasts. The portions are huge and price very reasonable. Don’t forget to try the Homemade Momos.

Food was just Ok, a bit bland, not colorful. Not bad but also not memorable. Not bad but also not to repeat. Entree with heavy fried dough, taste all the same. Same with currys.... I was expecting more. Service was very friendly, people were nice.
