Great, great experience, great monster burger - delicious

Very delicious food! The portions are just right and filling. The staff is super friendly, and the atmosphere is pleasant and cozy. All in all, it was a lovely visit and we'd love to return on our next visit to Tübingen!

Had dinner here yesterday and at first the place seemed great when we first checked it out. We were there a few hours before we wanted to eat and asked about reserving a table. The barkeeper told us he could reserve one for us but only on the inside, not outside but that we could sit outside if a table was free. So we reserved a table. We arrived about 30 minutes prior to our reserved time and an older waitress who seemed to be the team leader greeted us and asked if we reserved a table and so on. While taking with us we told her the things I mentioned earlier. The restaurant has two outside areas, one is a really nice terrace, that we wanted to sit on in the first place and the other is a weird kind of hallway between the restaurant and the terrace. Since the tables in the 'hallway' weren't nice we didn't want to choose a table there and wait. As mentioned before we were around 30 minutes early to out reservation anyways. The waitress was really pissed and unfriendly to us when we told her about our plan to wait until our reserved time in order to get a probably nicer place and pushed us towards taking a table or not eating there. I found this to be absolutely inappropriate and unprofessional. She then lied to us about the top terrace being reserved for an alleged class meeting and that we would not get a table there. Obviously there were other people sitting not belonging to said meeting and also there were reserved tables, even though the barkeeper told us they don't reserve tables there. So we gave in to the unfriendly waitress and sat down in the weird 'hallway'. There were even people leaving from the top terrace and others coming in and sitting down at their table (not reserved ones). We then ordered our burgers and drinks. My girlfriend ordered an alcohol free cocktail since she is pregnant. She got an alcoholic cocktail, this is again absolutely unprofessional and a no go! At least the waitress corrected the error and brought a new cocktail. The burgers and fries were alright but nothing special. We went there because we wanted to eat a good burger since the place is all about burgers. I've been to other burger restaurants in Tübingen multiple times and thought this place has to be better since it's a real restaurant and no fastfood place. But actually the only thing increasing was the price not the quality or portion size. We could see that tables on the top terrace became free regularly while we ate there, so I can't understand at all why the waitress didn't let us wait until something there was free. So all in all I can say the food is nothing special and quite pricy (we paid around 50€ for 2 burgers, 2 fries, 2 sauces, a non alcoholic cocktail and a water), also the burger was quite small and I was still a little hungry when we left. You also have to pay extra for sauces to your fries (around 1,20€) which I also found really expensive. I do not recommend this place!

We ordered the Butcher Platter for two people. The picanha was ordered medium, but it was only "flame-kissed"...too rare for us. The rump was perfectly cooked. The spare ribs were too dry for me personally. There were four bowls of dip: 2 with mayo, 2 with BBQ...could have been a bit more innovative. The service was great and friendly. The whole thing went pretty quickly. Overall, not bad, but not something you'd necessarily want to go back for more. I'll try the burgers sometime soon, because they looked really delicious.

We ordered two Texas burgers with rosemary fries via Uber. The food arrived after 1.5 hours. It was a shame. The food was already cold and didn't taste that good. The fries were really bad.

I called a week in advance and reserved a table for seven people for the all-you-can-eat option. When we arrived, we were told that many people had just ordered the all-you-can-eat option, meaning we could only get two courses per person. Unfortunately, there was no concession in the way of dessert or anything similar. So one person opted for a burger. The spare ribs were really tasty and highly recommended. The fries were good too. The burger was OK - the patty was a bit dry and not as juicy. Overall, though, I recommend it.

Oops? Where is the restaurant? Well, in the Tubing Hills! Hollywood flare guaranteed! Just a bit more rustic! On the way to the burger buddy, the calories are already rolling off your plate! You should almost bring your hiking gear! Once you arrive, those calories are guaranteed to be reabsorbed! What a delicious menu, huge burgers and amazing ribs! Delicious! The team is really extremely friendly, no long stomach rumblings, because the food was served quickly! Cold coli with lime, super. One star deducted, unfortunately, that there weren't enough ribs for our table, despite the all-you-can-eat offer :( That's unfortunate, of course. But otherwise, it was a great trip to the beautiful town of Tubing!

I was there recently, and I have to say it exceeded my expectations. I had the truffle burger, and my brother-in-law had the Monster Burger. Both were delicious; you could really taste the fresh meat, everything freshly prepared. 👍🏼. A huge thank you to the waitress who served us, who was very attentive and friendly. Now I won't have to drive to the next town for a burger in the future. 😊

Very tasty burgers, short wait, friendly staff! Good value for money.

We ate some delicious burgers at HILLS – Burger Club & Steakhouse – the quality was truly top-notch, and the service was friendly and attentive. A few things could have made the visit even more complete, however: Unfortunately, the drinks only arrived after the main course. There was a slight variation with the dessert: Instead of the advertised brownie with berries, we were served a chocolate cake with nuts, which tasted more like gingerbread. It was a shame the menu didn't mention the nuts. The "Homemade Lemon Rosemary Lemonade" was very sour – sweetened according to the menu, but the taste was a bit unbalanced for us. The price is a bit higher, as sides and dips are charged separately. In conclusion: Definitely worth a visit for the burgers – the taste is very good. However, there's still room for improvement with the drinks, desserts, and the transparency of the menu.

Below the castle, you can enjoy delicious burgers, salads, steaks, etc. on the outdoor terrace when the weather's good. The food was very tasty. Prices were reasonable. The service was very friendly. I can recommend it with a clear conscience.

Food is good but removing the sweet potato fries from the menu makes no sense to me. Those were the best sweet fries I've ever eaten.

I ordered takeaway yesterday. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. Both salads weren't fresh, and the tomatoes in particular were completely uneatable. The burger was okay. Unfortunately, the fries arrived cold. It's a shame, I expected more. Maybe it was just a bad day in the kitchen, but unfortunately, I wouldn't order from that place again.

We've been there a couple of times. The burgers look good but don't taste as good as they should. This last time, we decided to try the spare ribs and the buffalo wings: worst decision ever. The ribs are marinated with massive amounts of Knorr/Maggi, and taste exactly like that. The wings were extremely dry (almost burnt), with no buffalo sauce at all, and served only with cheddar cheese and mayo (why??). I think this place has a lot of potential because of the atmosphere, good service, and location, but food-wise it is a big disappointment

We were a large group of 18 at the restaurant and were absolutely thrilled! The chef was very accommodating! Everything was perfectly organized. The food was excellent – we had burgers and steaks, everything was fresh, juicy, and cooked to perfection. The service was also super friendly, attentive, and very professional. Ordered a burger and fries and both were abysmally bad

The food was delicious, and the terrace and ambiance were fantastic. Unfortunately, the service was a bit overwhelmed. We were there for 2.5 hours and no one asked if we wanted anything else. We had to ask the waiter several times for our attention. Therefore, only two stars for the service.

Three of us were there on a Tuesday evening with our baby. We were assigned a lovely table on the terrace. A highchair was already ready, which was great! Two rump steaks were perfectly cooked, and our special request for unsalted fries for the little one was immediately accommodated. The service was very attentive and friendly; thank you for a lovely evening!

Service: friendly, uncomplicated, attentive, skillful. Food is good. The meat was excellent as expected. The atmosphere is relaxed, simple. It's definitely very nice outside because of the weather and the old buildings. Inside it's rather plain - but that was enough for me. It depends on the food.

I have been in Hills twice. The first time was in January 2025. I went there with my friends and when we ate their hamburger, we said ok we found the best hamburger place in this town… After 4 months I went there again. I ordered Texas BBQ Hamburger and it was a disaster! Without any exaggeration, it was the worst hamburger I have ever eaten in my entire life!! The patty was dry as hell. I think they changed their meat provider because the quality couldn’t go down this quick. I have been starving and excited for the hamburger before coming there. After my first bite, I lost all my appetite. I could barely eat the quarter of the hamburger. I wrote this comment for the people who think the quality went down. You’re not alone thinking about this.

Nice staff, delicious food and that's all you need

Firstly, I would like to sincerely thank Maria for her exceptional service and wonderful attitude. She was an absolute pleasure—easygoing and carried herself with a great casual ease that made the experience even more enjoyable. The steak was slightly more done than my preferred medium, but it was still flavorful and satisfying. The fries and truffle mayo were excellent, and my mojito was outstanding—the fresh mint and overall balance were spot on. While I found the chocolate soufflé to be a bit underdone, I still thoroughly enjoyed it and finished the entire dessert. The presentation of all the dishes was very well executed. Overall, I would definitely recommend Hills to my friends and look forward to returning to try more of your steak offerings—next time, I would probably order it closer to rare to better match my preference. Thank you for a great lunch!

The restaurant is very clean, pleasant, with a very incredible staff, good beers and food and at a good price for being close to the castle. Everyone was very nice and friendly, it was difficult for us to converse in German and they were very understandable. One of the best places I have been to in Germany without a doubt based on the price and the great atmosphere there is. We will definitely go again.

We ordered there, so can't say anything about the service, ambience, etc. Initially the delivery took over 1 hour, perhaps that was one of the reasons for the following defects: - Bread was hard - Vegetables (salad etc.) fresh - Minus point for strange cheese sauce, instead of a slice of cheese on the cheeseburger - And the worst case scenario: Meat was relatively certainly a frozen product, as it was very dry and grayish without any roasted aromas, so it wasn't really edible - Sauce on the cheeseburger didn't really taste like much - Fries actually have potential, but when delivered they are totally mushy and not edible - Plus point: There was enough mayo :) Maybe one day I'll wander into the restaurant and try to see if it's better there.

Yesterday we went to dinner at the Hills It was good but if the menu says about 500g it should be about that and with a price of almost €35 I think there should at least be a piece of herb butter or a side salad We had to order everything separately and pay extra. It's a nice restaurant but maybe you should think about the prices and sizes

Just a great place to eat burgers. Nice ambience, both in the upper area with beautiful decor and in the lower area with a “wine cellar look”. Very courteous service. Cleaner toilets. And the burgers are simply great. Also with the option to get the burgers vegan with Beyond Meat.

When I was looking for a good steak in Tübingen, I found what I was looking for at Hills! Great quality meat, beautifully prepared and absolutely reasonable in price. The service is also excellent: always nice and friendly, very attentive but never intrusive. The Hills deserves 5/5 stars and has earned a place in my top 10 restaurants in Tübingen!

Very friendly seating assignment, drinks arrived within minutes. Ambience alternative and successful. However, we had to wait for the food. Two vegetarian dishes were ordered, of which the Plant Base Steak was supposed to come from the 3D printer. However, it seemed to be printed only when ordered and then prepared. At least that's how it seemed to me, waiting an hour and a half for the food, while all the other tables around us were getting food and some were already finishing it. Even though we were the first to get our table and order the food. There was also no apology from the waitress for waiting while everyone who arrived after us was already eating, nor any form of compensation. After speaking to the waitress twice, the response was “the food will be coming soon”. Immediately pulled out. When the food came it was very tasty but not very filling, but it was good for an experience. My partner was sufficiently full after a high muskroom. Special requests were taken into account when ordering. However, when we brought them, the other fries that we had also ordered were forgotten. As I remembered, they came quickly. Dessert was very sweet with souffle and warm cheesecake. At almost 100 euros it's not a really satisfactory experience, but it's worth an experience.

Best burger in town, I say as a native of Tübingen. Top meat, top quality, 10/10 fries. Not exactly cheap, but absolutely justified for this culinary delight. Gladly again at any time!

Cool burger restaurant. I had the Beyond Burger with the rosemary fries; both very tasty and made with a lot of effort. The staff was also very courteous and friendly. However, I had to wait 50 minutes for the burger and around 65 minutes for the fries... Since the fries were on the house, I turned a blind eye again.

Appetizers were great and the rib eye with herb butter was one of the best steak dishes I’ve had in quite some time. It was perfectly cooked to med-rare.

Wir waren heute hier und können es nur wärmstens empfehlen! Als Vorspeise gab es ein unglaublich feines Tatar und einen Caesar Salat, der nicht nur knackig, sondern auch perfekt abgeschmeckt war. Der Hauptgang war ein absolutes Highlight: Der Burger – saftig, aromatisch und mit köstlichen Fries serviert – war einfach sensationell. Doch das absolute Meisterwerk war das Steak. Perfekt Medium rare zubereitet, selten so auf den Punkt getroffen, mit einer zarten Konsistenz und intensivem Geschmack, der seinesgleichen sucht. Das gesamte Menü war ein wahres Fest für die Sinne. Wer Qualität und Genuss sucht, wird hier definitiv fündig. Super netter Service.Absolute Empfehlung!

Charming service and memorable tastes

Price-performance wasn't right for me personally. In particular, the sauce (I think it was some kind of cheese sauce) on the burger was too overwhelming. I don't need that on the burger. The service was friendly.

Went to Hills for the first time today. We were skeptical due to the many negative recessions. We were welcomed very friendly and served quickly. After about 15 minutes of ordering, we were informed that my starter was sold out and that I could choose another one on the house. I thought it was great, but not bad, it can happen. Great accommodation. The starter was very tasty, as were the burgers and fries. For dessert there was also, on top of that, an espresso on the house. We were definitely not here for the last time today. Highly recommended. We can disagree with all the negative recessions. Everything was great for us and we were very satisfied.

It was all very tasty! There were three of us there and we ordered the same dessert at the same time. Unfortunately, two desserts arrived 20-30 minutes after the first, so we couldn't eat our desserts together. Very funny. Especially on a Sunday when it wasn't very busy or stressful. But it tasted very tasty, even though all three desserts were cold. Plus, tap water costs €2, which I honestly think is pretty cheeky. The reasoning behind this was that they would at least offer tap water, which wouldn't be the case at all in other restaurants... Well, I haven't experienced that anywhere yet. Overall, a nice evening if you have some time to wait for your food.

Was there for the first and certainly not the last time. Burgers of great quality, the rest of the food ditto. Prices ok. I think that you pay a certain “tourist and view bonus” but it’s definitely worth it.

**Receipts We were at Burger Hills and tried the BBQ and cheeseburger once and have to say that the size of the burger was quite convincing. However, I found it disappointing that almost every little thing, such as the dip for the fries, had to be paid extra for. Given that the price is already quite high, it would be desirable if at least the fries were included in the price - that would round off the dish better. We paid a total of €50 for two burgers, a portion of fries, a dip and two shandies. I definitely expect more for this price. I was particularly unconvinced by the meat in the burger: unfortunately it was very bland and too thick. Here I would suggest using two thinner patties instead of one thick patty and seasoning them better. That would significantly improve the taste experience. Overall, I think the price-performance ratio is not right. In my opinion, the idea of ​​charging for each extra separately at such prices should be reconsidered. The taste of the burger also leaves room for improvement, especially in terms of seasoning and preparation of the meat.

One of the best burgers I've ever had. Service was good but took a while. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated with outdoor seating. In the middle of the old town it can actually only be reached on foot.

A little bit disappointed, on this price range had higher expectations. The patty was dry and the taste was just ok. Service was excellent and the location is lush. Good portions and not a bad burger, but definitely overpriced. Expensive fries and even the sauces are expensive.

The concept itself is good. However, the quality of the food needs to be optimized. The burgers are dry and quite heavy. You have flatulence (and last time even diarrhea) immediately after eating. You order fries and get rosemary potatoes (paid extra). AND it's overpriced!!! (70€ for 2 burgers and 2 drinks)
