Amazing food, a real explosion of flavor! 💣

A huge compliment to the still-young service team and the kitchen: the food and drinks delivered to a packed house were outstanding. With so many people, usually either the quality or the service suffers. But not here: the food was prepared within 45 minutes, and drinks were always prepared and served quickly. Even the communication felt like everything was under control. Top-notch!

The positives first: The service was very friendly and attentive (mostly successfully). Everything else, apart from the pricing, had a cafeteria feel. A large room (with distinctive artwork and modern furnishings) with large tables was packed with larger groups, resulting in a very high noise level. We were also seated by the window, which let in an unpleasant chill. It didn't feel cozy at all. The wine and sparkling wine selection was very limited and unfortunately didn't suit our taste. (Tip: Perhaps don't order a basic supermarket sparkling wine as the house wine; there are also inexpensive options directly from the winemaker). The "sturdy" type of glasses further emphasized the cafeteria atmosphere. The food (beef roulade with red cabbage and filled dumplings) met the minimum requirements but was underwhelming and felt overpriced. And why fill dumplings with bread and not specify the filling? At the end of the day, we were quite disappointed.

We had a wonderful time, popping in on a whim because the Christmas market was too crowded. We read a good review, and we were absolutely not disappointed. Delicious food, good beer, and a cozy atmosphere. We got the last spot, so we were lucky. We really enjoyed the Nessbraten and Duckstein beer. Friendly, quick service, and the three women who worked there had the whole place under control. You pay for quality here. Suitable for vegans.

The food was decent, the ribs unfortunately a bit fatty and with a lot of gristle. Not a highlight, but okay. Instead of mashed potatoes, we got smashed potatoes with gravy, which didn't go with BBQ ribs at all… The service was super friendly, really top-notch, and deserves a good tip! Regarding the location: we sat against the wall, and it was freezing cold…

Great tapas, delicious main courses. It was a bit of a shame that the drinks didn't arrive until after we'd finished our appetizers. The server who served us was a little disorganized... but still a nice place.

We were there on a Tuesday evening. Luckily, I had made a reservation, as it got very busy. The ambiance is fantastic; the black decor with its dim lighting works really well and is very modern (there's plenty of light at the table for eating, don't worry). Unfortunately, the lovely waitress was working alone, which was especially noticeable when it got crowded, but she still made a great effort to attend to all the guests promptly. She was also incredibly friendly. I can't remember ever having such a lovely server! The food was also fantastic. For a starter, we had the gravlax. It was incredibly fresh! The potato and cucumber salad was good, and the salad with the vinaigrette was simply perfect. For the main course, we had a few delicious little tapas-style dishes. These were also perfectly combined. The idea of ​​an apple and coconut roulade alone is brilliant. The price is right for the quality of the food! It's a shame we don't live nearby. But we will definitely come back on our next visit to Hamburg!

We went to Hidden Kitchen tonight and were absolutely thrilled! The food was simply delicious – we both had the "Drunken Rooster," one with fries and the other with baked avocado and aioli. Everything was super fresh, tasted amazing, and was perfectly balanced. The dessert was divine, too! The atmosphere is cozy and pleasantly quiet – even though the place is small and the tables are close together, you still have your privacy and can easily have a conversation. A huge thank you to Scarlett, who made our evening even more wonderful. It's rare to find such friendly, warm, and attentive service! You can tell she loves her job – it made the whole experience perfect. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend Hidden Kitchen! 💛

We came here for the first time today, based on a recommendation. I had the spare ribs with potato dumplings, and my companion had three of the delicious little bites. After the first bite, we just looked at each other in amazement—I swear I've never eaten so well in my life. The portions were larger than they looked, and we both struggled a bit at the end. The lady who served us was super friendly, and we immediately felt at ease.

We were here with our family (7 people including a baby) and felt completely at home. We received a very friendly welcome and service. The little one even got some small building blocks without asking. The food was truly delicious and arrived at the same time, lovingly presented. We thank you for the pleasant, delicious, and relaxing evening and would gladly return.

We were there on a Sunday evening and were very satisfied with everything. The food came quickly, was delicious, and creative. They offer tapas in large portions, and we ordered five between the two of us. That was too much for a starter; it's truly plentiful. Some dishes lacked that final touch, but it still deserves a solid 4 stars. Service was fantastic despite the small staff!

The food was truly amazing, kudos to the chef! But points were deducted for the noise level (it sounded a bit like a student cafeteria during peak semester time) and the service. Why service? The two waitresses were super nice and tried very hard, but there should have been at least two more servers, because the poor things couldn't keep up with taking orders, serving, let alone clearing tables.

The food, ambiance, and service are all top-notch here! Gluten-free options for our son weren't an issue either, as everything is clearly advertised. Highly recommended!

The service was quite disappointing. We waited about 20 minutes just for our drinks, which were flat, while the waitresses chatted amongst themselves. I ordered a burger without onions, which they assured me didn't have and brought it to me with them. We also ordered the truffel mayo dip (which didn't taste like truffles, but rather like fish), and they brought it to us after we'd already eaten our fries. I found the prices quite unfair.

We arrived at the restaurant, and according to the menu, it looked very good; it seemed innovative and elaborate. We ordered three beers for €20, which we couldn't finish because they were so undrinkable they were so poorly served (we saw the waitress scoop out the excess foam with a spoon). I ordered a vegetarian burger, which looked great on the menu, but it turned out they'd poured a jar of beetroot into the burger and added some kind of topping. My companions, who ate meat, didn't have much better luck with their order. We left the restaurant hungry and feeling like we'd been ripped off.

Service was very personal, really great! Food top! 👌🏼 The ambiente is rather more like fast food but for the good service and food, I will be there again! Great job done!

Delicious food, friendly service, and a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, it didn't suit my personal taste, but that certainly doesn't detract from the quality of the restaurant. I can, however, recommend the chicken drumsticks in particular. And it was nice to be able to try many different dishes.

From the moment we coordinated the catering for our party with over 50 guests, we felt we were in very good hands. The experience and professionalism of the management were then confirmed during the execution. The kitchen is highly dedicated, and the dishes reflect the young and modern flair of the neighborhood. The results were evident at the end of the party. The timing and selection of dishes were carefully chosen, and the quantities were excellently estimated. The highest compliment to the kitchen and chef: everyone was happy, there was hardly anything left over, and no food was wasted! The entire Hidden Kitchen team played a major role in making the party a complete success.

Super delicious food, whether side dishes or the vegetarian main course, plus very friendly staff (Scarlett), and dogs are welcome too. We'd love to go back!

The food is super good and something different. Everything is homemade, and there are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, as well as chicken burgers and pulled beef, of course. The atmosphere is simple. The waiters do their best. I had hoped for a bit more from this place. But as I said: the food was very good.

Warm welcome by the owner and team though I cam in late for dinner round 21.00. Had a main with 2 sides, which was actually too much for one person, the sides are very generous. Chicken in beer was very tasty, recommend!

Right of the main street but quiet and peaceful. Skyler took good care of us, even though we do not speak german. I recommend ordering 5 starters for sharing, it's a perfect amount for two people. Everything was super tasty, flavours were unexpected but delicious. We will definitely come again.

Four of us visited the restaurant before a night at the theater. The location was ideal for us, just 140 meters from Schmidts Tivoli. The ambiance was impressive, with its stylish yet cozy atmosphere. The dishes were consistently delicious; we particularly found the option to choose from a variety of small dishes to be original and refreshingly different. The service was attentive and efficient – ​​almost perfect. One minor criticism: some of the server's "sayings" unfortunately seemed a bit rehearsed and routine. A little more authenticity would have further enhanced the positive overall impression. All in all, a very successful visit; we would gladly return.

We discovered Hidden Kitchen by chance on a day trip to Hamburg and thought it looked very inviting from the outside. This impression was also confirmed inside. We went in quite spontaneously and got a table in the evening without making a reservation. The service was very friendly and the food was perfect. Especially the “small delicacies” (falaffel balls, etc.) that you can put together were incredibly tasty. If we are in Hamburg again, we would like to come back.

The location is beautiful and stylish. Visually beautifully presented. Not balanced in taste, round...we would have liked the tart and the pancake with salmon and dill better warm. Tart's acidity was too dominant, pancakes were otherwise ok. Bruschetta was too curry-heavy for us, otherwise crispy and juicy. Price-performance for us as a whole is not consistent

Four of us were in this great restaurant on Saturday evening. A reservation is definitely recommended. We had different dishes with and without meat. There were 5 of us with a small dog and we were thrilled in all aspects. The food is excellent, the service was simply friendly and we also liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. We think it's great that you can buy the paintings. We don't know the background, but we assumed that they were probably local artists, cool thing! It was really delicious! We went to the hidden kitchen because the selection is so diverse :-) from vegan to ribs, there was something for everyone! The only negative point for us was the temperature, it was quite cold and therefore a bit uncomfortable.

The experience was really good. The Waitresses are kind, atmosphere is beautiful, meals are delicious, how could I complain about? I ate pulled beef burger and my friend ate veggie burger. We had dinner at Hidden Kitchen yesterday. It tasted very, very good and our waitress was very friendly and helped us a lot with the selection, thank you very much. We will definitely come back.

The food was delicious and absolutely recommended. The service got a little worse. The shop isn't huge but it took almost half an hour until we had our first drinks. Unfortunately it was on January 31st. so cold in the restaurant that you had to keep your jacket on. I wouldn't eat here again during the heating season.

Durchschnittliches Essen zu überdurchschnittlichen Preisen. Typische Touristen oder Instagramm Spelunke die keinen Wert auf Wiederholungstäter legt. Seelenlos und pseudo Schickimicki. War das erste und letze Mal. Vielleicht bin ich auch nicht die Zielgruppe. Negative Rezensionen werden durch den Inhaber auch gerne wegen „Verleumdung„ gelöscht. Was an meinem persönlichen Eindruck eine Verleumdung ist weiß aber wohl nur er selbst. Das erklärt aber das sehr „positive“ Rezensionsbild.

We visited on New Year's Eve and were really impressed by the food, the staff... basically everything! Super nice people who have fun interacting with other people, the portion sizes are really more than enough and taste great! There is also a nice selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, which is also a big plus. We definitely felt like we were in good hands throughout the evening and would highly recommend the store ✌️

Unfortunately I only give it one star, why with all the positive reviews? I find the way table reservations are handled impossible. We reserved a table for 4 people at 6 p.m. We got to the restaurant at 6:07 p.m. By the time the waiter welcomed us, it was 6:12 p.m. When we arrived we were first told “I'll take a look and then tell you how long you have the table for”. After checking, we were informed that the table had been given to someone else. We weren't there at 6 p.m. sharp. We were really shocked - we're talking about 7 minutes during the Christmas season when the neighborhood is full to no end. Due to the traffic situation, the search for a parking space and the crowds, we were 7 minutes late at the restaurant. We should have called and let them know we were late. Sorry, but why do I fill out the contact details when making a reservation? Nobody called me. I know in the catering industry that there is a grace period of up to 15 minutes. There is no goodwill here. In this day and age, I can understand it if you reduce your grace period or no longer have it. Many people definitely don't cancel their reservations and from what I saw, the restaurant isn't huge either. You need a certain amount of workload. It's all ok. But then just point it out. A note in the booking confirmation that you have to be present at the time, otherwise the table will be given to someone else would be helpful and would prevent trouble. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food and I don't think we'll try it again.

Food was mediocre. Staff were slow even though it was quiet. I asked for gluten free and was assured by the waitress but I wasn't confident. I felt sick within 5 minutes of finishing the meal so know there was gluten in it somewhere. Lucky I'm not a coeliac.

Wir haben als Paar vor einem Theaterbesuch hier gegessen, ganz kurzfristig über Google maps geschaut, was in Fußgehweite zum Theater ist, ganz ohne Erwartungen sind wir gekommen. Und Überraschung: Wir wurden belohnt mit einem wunderbaren Aufenthalt und einem leckeren Essen. Das Hidden Kitchen ist ein unerwartet stilvoller Ruhepool inmitten dew üblichen Kiez-Tourifallen-Trubels. Strategisch günstig gelegen schräg gegenüber der Davidswache an der Ecke einer kleinen Seitenstraße, weniger als 5 Minuten von der Theatermeile auf der Reeperbahn entfernt. Eingerichtet wie ein Bistro mit schlichten schönen Eichenholztischen, dunklen Stühlen, kein Chichi, schöne Kunst an den Wänden. Ein kleines herzliches Team schmeißt den Laden, die reduzierte Karte macht alle glücklich, Fleischesser und auch Vegetarier / Veganer. Wir hatten den Pulled Beef Burger sowie die geschmorten Rippchen, dazu Mais, Fritten und Dips. Alles kommt gesund, frisch, heiß, lecker auf den Tisch und danach ist man bestens gerüstet für den weiteren Abend. Wir waren sehr zufrieden, auch mit den Preisen, und wünschen uns, dass dieses großartige kleine Lokal lange erhalten bleibt.

Right from the start, the boss insulted us as Nazis and threatened to throw us out of the restaurant because we allegedly whistled some Nazi song. We have completely distanced ourselves from it and are not even close to this opinion or this philosophy. We just wanted to have our Christmas party food in our group and were pushed into a corner that was totally strange to us. We had to calm down the waitress and ask them to calm down and believe that we just wanted to eat. Unfortunately, this completely ruined the mood that evening. The food was ok, nothing special but definitely okay. Unfortunately for us, given the overall circumstances, it was a complete disappointment. And we have enjoyed being guests all over the world.
