Hello dear new operator, at your designated location on the menu: “Backhendlsalat” – large, colorful mixed salad baked chicken breast pieces, pumpkin seeds, pumpkin seed oil and Yoghurt mustard dressing - €16.80 Do you urgently need to change something, either change the description as it is currently served and lower the price - because the price-performance ratio here is not right at all. Or prepare the salad neatly as a classic fried chicken salad. You write a large, colorful mixed salad... You served the salad on a narrow, small, oblong serving plate with a few green leaves/leaf salad on it. In addition, the fried chicken was baked too crispy, too small and too few, the pumpkin seed oil and pumpkin seeds were completely missing! They also served a remoulade that is usually served with fried fish. This doesn't have much to do with a fried chicken salad. The prices in general are a bit too high for the type and quantity of food (in a small inn in an allotment garden), you get much more on your plate in the surrounding inns. You are welcome to improve something, i.e. more on your plate or less out of your wallet. We are also missing a nice sausage salad, which is typical of a Bavarian tavern/beer garden (at least it's not on the menu)! The ambience is still nice, the current service (ladies working) is good.

I have been visiting the Witch's Garden for over 40 years under a wide variety of tenants. Now there is a new tenant. At first I was disappointed but today I am revising everything. I was impressed by the friendly welcome, the friendly, accommodating service and, above all, the really excellent food. The menu has also developed positively and in my opinion the price-performance ratio is right. Now I can recommend the Hexengarten again and we will be back soon. The roast pork was wonderful and crispy, nice dark sauce, homemade dumplings - great! Stuffed peppers - like grandma's hmmm. I'm already looking forward to the 1/4 duck on Saturday. Reservation is required because it's super good.

Great shop with super friendly innkeepers. Everything is still a bit fresh because the owners are new, but it has absolute potential and you can tell that someone is making an effort. We really enjoy going there 🤗🫶

Under the new management, the Hexengarten will once again become my favorite Bavarian restaurant! Cozyly located in the green of the allotment gardens but not far from the parking lot on Baldurstrasse. Here you can sit quietly and comfortably under the chestnut trees. The service is friendly and attentive and you feel welcome. Good menu plus current daily menu. The Obatzda schnitzel was a highlight and plentiful! The apple fritters were also crispy and had a decent amount of cinnamon and sugar. Everything was very tasty and decent portions. Price-performance is absolutely fair. My next visit won't be long in coming! By the way, there are also cozy places inside if the weather doesn't cooperate.

Unfortunately the price-performance ratio wasn't right! The “back chicken salad” was with leaf lettuce, cheap sauce and just two small pieces of meat. A little drink in a rustic atmosphere, yes, no more eating. The service, however, was very friendly 👍

Nice little beer garden and the option to sit inside. Delicious beer 🍺 from König, Ludwig and Augustiner. Beautiful, quiet and also very green and therefore nice and shady for hot summer days. The food 🍽 is delicious! Not the standard of Bavarian restaurants, but also something a little unusual, for example the vegetables with grilled goat cheese. Delicious. We'll definitely come more often. 🥰 To the toilet. There is a disabled toilet♿️ in the women's area with a changing table, which I used. Unfortunately, when you sit on the toilet there is only a handle on the right side. Therefore rather difficult for wheelchair users.

The food doesn't blow your mind either, portions are small for the prices. New tenant what we were told. No real service, we think they were temporary workers. There is a lack of skilled workers here. Otherwise it won't work.

We are extremely satisfied with the new landlord and his team! After avoiding the Witch's Garden for many years, we now visit it regularly again and enjoy both the good food and the beautiful ambience. The service is very friendly and attentive, the food is really tasty - we always feel completely at home here.

I've loved being in the Witch's Garden ever since the new innkeepers arrived. That's why we celebrated my husband's birthday there and it was a great party with a delicious buffet and good drinks. PS: ..... and the schnitzel with Obatzda under the breading is addictive 😋

Went there again today, discovered it last year and were really amazed why our portions were about 1/3 as big as last year's and then we heard there was a new tenant. So unfortunately the portion was really very small and we were really disappointed, the mushroom cream sauce was watery and only about one mushroom in it, for that I thought 18.90 was crazy. Well, of course the ambience is still good and the service is also very nice, but we won't be coming back now.

For dessert we treated ourselves to Kaiserschmarrn. It was really excellent and homemade and served in a cast iron pan.

Today we wanted to eat here again. We were there several times last year, although with a different tenant. The food there was very good. Today we were only partially satisfied. 1. My Kässpatzen tasted good, but seasoned with little salt. My friend's roast hunter was completely wrong. The meat consisted of two slices of roast pork from the previous day with a mushroom sauce. In response to her normal complaint, the landlord came and asked and later asked again, but then said that we should look for another restaurant soon. This has never happened to us before. No further visits are planned.

Service is great and the Jägerbraten is absolutely delicious. The atmosphere and the way the waiters treat you is great, but unfortunately many people don't appreciate that

Very nicely located restaurant, great well-kept beer garden, quiet and under shady trees, but there are also sunny spots. Extremely friendly and attentive service. The spare ribs with the potato wedges were so delicious, the delicious Kaiserschmarrn served in a rustic cast iron pan on a wooden board rounded off the menu and all in all highly recommended. We'll definitely be back 👍 we really enjoyed the witch's garden!

One of the most beautiful beer gardens in Munich. Not too big, lots of sun, nice people, cool music and the finest delicacies. The mass is also fully poured and affordable - not like at the Oktoberfest. The new tenant Alf and his team of witches are really great!

Strollers not allowed. No “Hello”, no “Hello” but “that doesn’t work with that thing” - even if a child is sleeping in it and not on the edge of the hedge where no waiter ever has to go through. Complete nonsense, but families with children probably don't bring in enough sales. As long as there are enough other guests, you don't need us. So we won't bother you anymore.

In itself a nice little pub garden, but the service is unfriendly and overwhelmed! There were five employees there today for the small outdoor area. Still, things were chaotic. Ordered four meals, two meals came before the drinks, the third meal after another 30 minutes and the fourth meal only after we asked for the fourth time. We also had the unfriendly waiter we have ever experienced (Stephan, close-shaven hair, tattoos). Even the greeting was: “not the table”. In general, we noticed today how many guests were dissatisfied with the service. Some of the food was very good, only the roast suckling pig wasn't particularly good (mixed, too firm, rather old piglet). Drinks are limited in a friendly way and the second round of drinks doesn't even end up on the receipt!

Yesterday we were in the new Gern Witch Garden for the first time. We were loyal customers of the previous owners for 30 years. Unfortunately, with the new owner, the good service, the good food and the harmony of the house have been lost. Food: Charge 17.90 for a fried chicken salad with 3 small nuggets on top. Outrageous, the roast pork was unfortunately cold and the quality of the meat left a lot to be desired Service: the tone of the waitresses was totally unfriendly and extremely loud Ambiance: The house lacks a cozy atmosphere, no attention to detail, no more curtains and tablecloths (not even outside). SHAME, SHAME, SHAME PLEASE TAKE THE FEEDBACK FIRST, WE ARE MEMBER OF SEVERAL MOOSACHER CLUBES

Went there again and again because of the beautiful location, but I really can't recommend it. The staff always gives the impression of being overwhelmed, and there are excuses like "four colleagues were absent", "colleague didn't come", etc. It just makes an amateurish impression. Signs like “EC payment again next week” also fit in well. But we had the hammer last week. When ordering I was told “Please no bread due to gluten intolerance (celiac disease)”. Then the food comes and the pretzel is dipped in the middle. We say that's not possible, the waitress takes the pretzel out of the food with her fingers, goes back and brings the SAME food back after 2 minutes. Sorry, but that makes you feel like a fool. In general, the food there isn't really good and is expensive (sausage salad almost 13 EUR). There are always complaints when you ask around among guests. That's why the many, somewhat naive, good reviews here are unclear to me. And a little joke on the side: The innkeeper mentioned on the homepage probably no longer exists (if you look at the receipt)...

Small portions, overwhelmed, unfriendly service and the taste is so much worse than before. It's a shame that the old innkeeper is no longer there.

So I was there today with my husband after we heard that they were opening on Friday. We were surprised that despite the busyness we experienced, the waiting time wasn't bad, the waiters were polite and the food was delicious... We'd be happy to come back, keep it up Witch Garden Team...👍👍👍

Consistently high quality for years! We've been going to the Witch's Garden several times a year for three years now and in the entire time we've "almost" never had any reason to be dissatisfied. The food Down-to-earth Bavarian cuisine. There is also duck on Saturday/Sunday. You should definitely try these. In our opinion one of the best in Munich. The duck is “juicy”, the red cabbage is nicely “cooked” and the dumpling goes well too. Small point of criticism: The sauce is actually always too little ;), but of course you can order more. But it's best to order it straight away. The ambience It is a restaurant in a larger garden area and is furnished accordingly. A bit rustic, but cozy. The garden area is large and there are plenty of sun/shade spots The beer Somehow I'm always drawn to places that have an Augustiner beer on offer! In the Hexengarten, however, the half costs only 3.80 euros. This is almost unbeatable for Munich. After all, some restaurants are already dangerously approaching the 5 mark. The service I usually write about the “fly in the ointment” at the end. That's not supposed to be the service now. This person is usually attentive and you don't have to sit in front of an empty glass for too long. But you notice - especially in the summer months - that many more guests come to the Witch's Garden than the waiters can handle. But as is well known, this problem does not only exist in this economy. This means that when the weather is nice, you should simply have a little more patience and calmness. We will be back definitely!

Vor über anderthalb Jahren haben wir diese 'Perle' von Biergarten entdeckt. Das Essen ist wirklich gut, bei manchen Gerichten m.E. etwas überteuert. (z.B. Salate für 15,90€). Das Ambiente ist UNSCHLAGBAR! ABER: Der Service ist gut, solange 'die Damen' anwesend sind. Der Inhaber (vor allem ER!!) und einige seine männlichen Servicekräfte sind leider und unverständlicherweise einfach nur unfreundlich. Dafür, dass wir unser sauer verdientes Geld dorthin bringen, würde ich mir etwas mehr Professionalität wünschen. Will sagen, wenn die Herren chronisch schlecht drauf sind, sollten sie dies bitte nicht an ihren Gästen auslassen. Jedenfalls hat man nicht das Gefühl willkommen zu sein. SCHADE!!!

Das Essen ist gut aber hat ziemlich nachgelassen. Der Wirt ist sehr unfreundlich und macht den Eindruck, dass es nur noch genervt ist. Man fühlt sich hier nicht willkommen. Nach dem Essen sollte man nach seinem Blicken am besten sofort gehen, wenn man nicht noch was bestellt. Hier ist großer Verbesserungsbedarf.

Solides Restaurant am Westfriedhof. Man sitzt schön im Grünen und wird von einer feschen Dame im Dirndl bedient. Service war schnell. Schnitzel war für mich eine solide Drei im Schulnotensystem. Nicht zu klein, etwas blaß, Geschmacklich neutral. Es gab immerhin weder sichtbares Fett noch Knorpel. Mit Ketchup rutschte es ganz gut. Bier kommt vom Augustiner und von König Ludwig, das gefällt mir. Preise für München im unteren Durchschnitt.

Sehr gemütlicher Biergarten, viele Familien jeden Alter sitzen hierzusammen, man kennt sich. Größtenteils schattig und schön ruhig gelegen neben einer Kleingartenkolonie. Wenn's voll ist wartet man schon ein bisschen auf sein Essen, aber das leckere Bier (Augustiner Bräu) entschädigt einen. Essen lecker, es gibt sogar drei vegetarische Gerichte...

war die finale Erklärung der Kellnerin bei der Rückkehr aus der Küche, nachdem mein Wunsch nach einer Beilagen-Änderung zuvor offensichtlich noch mit „das wird einen Aufpreis kosten“ abgewehrt werden sollte. Käsespätzle hätte ich anstelle der Röstkartoffel, beides Standardbeilagen auf der Karte, gerne zu meinem Zwiebelrostbraten gehabt. Geht nicht. Küche im Stress? Bei nicht einmal einem Viertel der Plätze besetzt!? Habe den Rest des Abends von Vor- bis zur Nachspeise zufrieden in einem deutlich freundlicheren Lokal verbracht.

Wir waren begeistert! Wir sind unverhofft auf den Hexengarten gestoßen bei herrlichstem Wetter. War am 8.6.23 in dem herrlichen Lokal, super nette Leute im Service lecker Bierchen, lecker Essen...jederzeit wieder War nur kurz da aber habe mich sofort wohlgefühlt, wenn Ihr nicht soweit weg wärt käme ich öfters ,wohne im schönen Hagen..PS damit ihr vielleicht wisst wer wir(4pers) waren wir waren die ersten die gefragt haben ob im apfelstrudel Rosinen sind und das nach acht Jahren.... Macht weiter so und alles gute war schön bei euch ...

Wir sind vor kurzem nach Moosach gezogen und besuchten heute den Hexengarten auf Empfehlung alt eingesässener Nachbarn. Der Empfang war freundlich und kommunikativ. Ich hatte einen Krusten-Schweinebraten mit Kartoffelknödel mit ausreichender Soß' inkl. frischen Krautsalat und ein Radler. So muss er sein der Schweinsbraten, welcher mich an den meiner Oma erinnerte. Mein Partner hatte das Putenschnitzel mit Sesamkruste, das ebenfalls perfekt gelungen war inkl. einen super frischen, knackigen gemischten Salat dazu und ein alkoholfreies Weizen. Das Ambiente in der ruhig gelegenen Kleingartenanlage hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir kommen definitiv wieder. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Schön zu sitzen, das Essen war wirklich gut. Die Bedienung war leider super unfreundlich! echt schade. Keine Auswahl für Vegetarier (Käse oder Käse), schon gar nicht für Veganer.

Essen war gut ! Jedoch seit Jahren die gleiche Speisekarte .Biergarten ist ein Highlight. Aber was unmöglich ist daß ist der unfreundliche Wirt .Wir haben heute gehört wie er andere Gäste angeschnautzt hat nur weil die nett nach einem freien Platz gefragt haben .Diese Gäste sind darsufhin gegangen .Man fühlt sich nicht Willkommen u wir von dem Wirt abgefertigt .Unfreundlich ohne Ende .

Wir waren spontan dort. Schöner großer Garten mit viel Platz in mitten von Heimgärten gelegen. Der Wirt sehr freundlich trotz etwas Streß (Männertag) leider war das Wetter nicht ganz so freundlich. Gespeist haben wir diesmal nicht die Speisekarte war dennoch sehr ansprechend. Beim nächsten Besuch sehr gern.

Wir waren schon oft mit mehreren Leuten im Hexengarten.Alle waren vom Essen begeistert. Das Restaurant ist sehr gemütlich, der Biergarten schön und ruhig. Der Service ist super.

Am letzten Samstag besuchten wir den Hexengarten. Wir bestellten eine halbe Ente und müssen hier mal ein ganz dickes Lob los werden. Selten so eine knusprige, frische Ente mit gutem Blaukraut gegessen. Toll....

Das Lokal liegt in einer Kleingartenanlage, man sitzt gut, weg vom Autolärm,gemütlich unter Kastanienbäume,das Essen ist vielfältig, gut und preiswert,der Service ist schnell, freundlich, und gutgelaunt.(Was heute nicht mehr so oft vorkommt).
