Super delicious food. Regardless of whether it is fish or meat, the compositions are finely put together and taste delicious. Really recommended.

Officially open from 12 p.m. The door was already open at 11:50 a.m. and the tables were already set. The staff stood around and seemed to be waiting for guests. When I went in, I was told in a very unfriendly tone that it wouldn't be open until 12 p.m. I lost my appetite and went to another restaurant and had a great meal there. The famous first impression...

Were there twice. The boss didn't say hello to us twice even though he walked past our table or measured the tables next door. This behavior annoys me. The kebab shop next door is friendlier.

Was an absolute highlight for us. The Herzberg has a very nice atmosphere and is in a very good location. The service was very attentive and friendly. Our biggest highlight was the food. Even if it may seem ordinary at first glance, it is still very well prepared. You rarely see something like that these days. A visit to the hostel is highly recommended and we would be happy to come back. For 3 courses with 1 to 2 drinks, expect to pay around 60 euros per person.

I called 10 minutes beforehand to see if they had anything available, come on, somehow we'll find a place, very uncomplicated, sweet, nice, very great service I'm very excited, really tasty. For the starter I had camembert gratin and the main course entrecote with fried vegetables and mushrooms, everything went well together. We went on holiday in Scharbeutz and had dinner in various restaurants. I was looking forward to a real Wiener Schnitzel (veal). I got it, but it wasn't prepared properly. Nothing with a “wavy” breading… I personally had the impression that the schnitzel was made “dull” in the deep fryer. It's also tough and not really cooked through. As compensation there was a dessert.

The food was great, the hosts were great, the atmosphere was pleasant 👌🤷🏼‍♀️

This evening, based on a recommendation, we booked the restaurant for our wedding anniversary. We liked the ambience outside - inside it was too dark and too warm for us. Service - unfortunately not as good as expected. No smile - a shame Wine glasses remained on the tables the entire time - we didn't have any wine - so we put them away The cutlery was so stained - we polished it ourselves - Processes - everything took a long time or didn't seem to flow smoothly - drinks took a long time - During the main course there was no question from the service as to whether everything was OK When I was clearing away I complained about the fish fillets, which were fried to death for me. The complaint was recorded - and that was it. No feedback or response from the kitchen - nothing! Complaints are not welcome - another customer also had this experience - who complained very loudly about the poor service. The ?restaurant manager? probably - said "We didn't need that" and left the customer standing and canceled the entire meal! My impression was that the customer wanted a nice evening rather than a bad, free dinner! There is still room for improvement when dealing with complaints! We shared bread and dip! That was very delicious! My husband had veal liver - which he liked - I had Redfish fillet | Cod fillet | Plaice fillet | Truffle cream | vegetables | Herb mashed potatoes The portion was too big for me personally, but that's a matter of opinion! Unfortunately, the fish fillets were almost impossible to cut with fish cutlery. Fried way too long, way too dry! What a shame! Then all the fillets were fried in egg shells. That wasn't on the menu - too bad... Puree was ok - a bit much- Sauce - probably with truffle oil - was fine! All in all, we cannot recommend the restaurant - there are too many points that weren't right - It's a shame - we expected better!

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the food today. Ate fish dishes. No comparison to our previous visits. We hope it was just a one-off.

It used to be sooooo beautiful and TODAY we are really disappointed, the food didn't taste good, the fried potatoes just burned and the plaice for (32.80) tasted like fat. One of the waitresses “looked at our two small dogs with EVIL looks”. We prefer to go to the steakhouse, it tastes 100% better there and you get proper, friendly service and dogs are very welcome!

We were here several times during our vacation because we were very impressed by the food, the service and the ambience. Everyone was very friendly, child-friendly and accommodating. We tried different dishes and every day all the dishes were a delight. Thank you for a pleasant time, we will definitely be back next year!

Yesterday we celebrated my birthday here. The table was lovingly set, the staff was extremely friendly and professional, the food - à la carte - was finely prepared for all my guests, garnished in a way that was easy on the eyes and, above all, very tasty. At the end I also received a “greetings from the kitchen”. Excellent. The bill was commensurate with the experience. We would be happy to come back.

We've eaten there around 50 times on our holidays over the last few years and it's always very pleasant and tasty at Herzbergs.

Unfortunately the service was slow. The food (meat 2x Cordon Bleu) was completely overcooked. Too bad about the calf. As compensation there were 2 schnapps. A PITY!!!

The two of us had a lovely time here. As a starter we had prawns in aioli with chili, which were delicious. The main courses were veal liver and cordon bleu. Both dishes were very tasty, although the cordon bleu tasted exceptionally good. The wine was a Sauvignon blanc from South Africa and it was excellent. The service was attentive and friendly and we both really liked the atmosphere. All in all it was a successful evening. We can only recommend this restaurant and we will probably visit the restaurant again before we leave.

Top restaurant, very good daily seasonal menu!

I've eaten here several times and am never disappointed. This week I chose the dish of the day “cod fillet” and feel compelled to share my enthusiasm. Offering a rather classic dish so sophisticated and delicious is extraordinary. The wine with it was also perfect and the service - even though I was there alone - was simply exemplary. Full marks and my heartfelt thanks for the great food.

A very nice place where you can enjoy a sensational selection of dishes, great wines and great service. The view of Scharbeutz's promenade from the winter garden creates a wonderful ambience. The portions are generous and really delicious. Tip: the beef tartare as a starter was a dream!

A nice ambience is no substitute for good food. The food smelled of old fat, the meat was hard to cut, and the fries tasted like nothing. The plaice also tasted like fried food and the potatoes had no taste. The market vegetables were dry and tasted terrible.

Enjoy your meal. Tastes great. Beef fillet fantastic. Risotto also good, but too much cheese for me. Very good and attentive service. If you want to sit in a more modern style, reserve the outside and something more rustic inside. Gladly again. A bottle of water for €7.90 was too expensive for me.

The restaurant presents itself in the rather higher-priced range. There were three of us there and we ordered three different dishes. The food was simply a disaster. The portion of pan fish for €28 was a joke. The fried potatoes were soaked in fat. Another mixed fish dish lacked any seasoning. The dish of the day was soaked in oil and garlic, otherwise no taste. When the restaurant manager asked what the food was like, I told him that the portion was very small. Instead of apologizing or saying something else, I was told to finish chewing and then speak. Afterwards he turned around and was not seen again for the rest of the evening, avoiding our table. Unacceptable and completely unprofessional for a restaurant manager. A female waitress finally bought us a schnapps/espresso after nothing really went right that evening. If you want good food with friendly service, it's best to go next door to Diercksen: great food to the point, reasonable prices, the boss lends a hand herself. Here you are valued as a guest and treated well. The Herzbergs don't seem to need that.

Service friendly. The tartare was very good. Unfortunately the fish is a bit undercooked and the whole thing seems very rustic. But come back and try something else.

Very nice restaurant. Food was great and super tasty. It's a slightly higher price range, but it's worth it. The boss and the service were super friendly and despite a reservation that went wrong we got a table. Absolutely recommended.

I can't complain. Normally you don't expect culinary heaven on earth when you stop by a restaurant in a holiday destination. But that is the case here. Great atmosphere on the terrace, modern and cozy. Eating is simply a dream. Wienerschnitzel with asparagus and potatoes with homemade holondaise and melted butter. I haven't eaten so well in a long time and, especially for the price, it's totally fair - I've paid a lot more in Berlin.

Very good entrecôte with Cesar’s salad and sour meat with potatoes. Always happy.

Vollkommen unverhofft stießen wir auf dieses Juwel. Nach einem Einkaufsbummel wollten wir eine Kleinigkeit zu Mittag essen. Weil es gerade in der Nähe war, entschieden wir uns für das Herzbergs. Und diese Entscheidung werden wir nie bereuen! Wir fühlten uns in dem gemütlichen und sehr gepflegten Ambiente mit angenehmer Musik von Anfang an pudelwohl. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir bestellten eine Spargelcremesuppe mit Katenschinkenwürfeln. Eine ungewöhnliche Kombination, die unerhört köstlich war. Mein Mann sagte sogar, dass er bisher keine bessere Spargelsuppe gegessen hat. Auch die Nordseekrabbensuppe war ein Gedicht. Dann wurde die Scampiofanne serviert, die ebenfalls köstlich war unf das sensationelle Beef Tartar. Perfekt angemachtres handgrschnittenes Fleisch, gekrönt von einer kleinen Kugel selbstgemachtem Meerettich-Eis und umkränzt von handverlesenen exquisiten Blattsalaten (kein schnöder Rucola o.ä.). Dazu feine Apfelspalten in Roe Beetedaft eingelegt. Das Ganze benetzt von einem großartigen Dressing und begleitet von frisch geröstetem Knoblauchbrot. Ein Gedicht! Genau wie die üppige Portion Creme Brule mit Frucht-Limettenmark und frischen Früchten wie aus dem Bilderbuch. Wir werden ganz sicher mit mehr Hunger wiederkommen!

As soon as we entered the restaurant we received a warm welcome. The delicious food and the selection of fine wines exceeded my expectations. The sole, tender and full of flavor, was a real highlight. The recommended Sauvignon Blanc complemented it perfectly and left a lasting impression. An unforgettable culinary experience that I highly recommend to every foodie!

The food is excellent. We had pan fish and fish variation (3 fish fillets). There was enough fish and the sauce for the pan fish was served separately so that the food wasn't swimming in the sauce, as is often the case. Everything was served hot and was very tasty. The prices for fish are between €25 and €30 and are therefore in the middle range compared to many other restaurants in Scharbeutz and Timmendorf, some of which are more expensive without the service being any better. The starters are also very tasty and reasonably priced. Good open and bottled wines are offered at acceptable prices. The service is attentive and friendly.

We had dinner there two days ago and unfortunately I have to say, contrary to many other opinions, that I was not satisfied with the food and the service. The dish tasted bland. I had plaice fillets gratinated with hollandaise. Neither fish, nor hollandaise, mushrooms and crabs were seasoned. Even seasoning twice with pepper and salt didn't help. Unfortunately just an over-baked pile of ingredients that tasted like nothing. And for expensive money! Afterwards, unfortunately, we also ordered dessert because it sounded good, or because we probably had something else in mind: plum tiramisu with espresso ice cream! The tiramisu didn't taste good and the espresso ice cream wasn't creamy, but like water ice cream with espresso flavor! The biggest disappointment, however, was the reaction of the service, namely insulted, to our criticism. We only criticized the dessert, which wasn't charged later, but we were immediately cut off and ignored. No communication, no asking what didn't taste good, no apology, no alternative. Simply brought the bill later, without comment, at our request. Not professional. You also have to deal with criticism, no matter how unpleasant it is. In the end, if in doubt, it serves to improve something!

Beautiful location directly across from Bayside. The atmosphere is very tasteful, the employees are warm-hearted and very friendly. But as we all know, the most important thing in a restaurant is the food and it is high quality, enjoyable and elegantly prepared. If it were a little warmer, we would have liked to sit on one of the many sheepskins in the foyer. We made another reservation this week and will be there for almost 3 weeks in the summer. Even then it will be one of the first addresses. Top recommendation... and then the place is also called, like the oldest festival in Germany... Herzberg! 🥰🥰 It really doesn't get any better!! Top recommendation!!

Thank you for a lovely and spontaneous wedding evening with friends. On the eve of our wedding we had to change our plans for that evening at short notice. We no longer need to use the word unfortunately because the entire Herzbergs team gave us a wonderful evening at very short notice. From the decoration to the service, everything was just perfect and the food was delicious. We don't say that because we saw everything through rose-colored glasses that day, not at all, but because the evening was simply enchanting. Many thanks to you!

Wir hatten Knobibrot mit Dips und Gar elen als Vorspeise, alles sehr lecker! Zum Hauptgang habe es HH-Pannfisch mit einer riesigen Portion Gurkensalat. Der Fisch war top gebraten, die Bratkartoffeln knusprig gebraten und sehr lecker! Aufmerksamer Service 🙌

Very appealing and homely atmosphere, the service was attentive. Unfortunately, the children's meal was not convincing, the schnitzel was thin and quite dry, the fries were rather light and the carrots were carelessly prepared and tasted poor. For the other dish, the panfish and cucumber salad were very tasty, but the fried potatoes were only partially good, although they were generally well fried and seasoned, I suspect that not all of the potatoes were fresh from the day.

It was a great evening with best friends! The food was first class and we are guaranteed to come back 😍!

Had dinner at Herzbergs again. For the main course (also available as a starter) I had beef tartare with mustard ice cream! eaten. It was very tasty, I can only recommend it. I also drank a Pinot Gris. Everything fit together perfectly.

Quite cool in the outdoor lighting despite the permanently installed windows. Drinks sometimes arrived incorrectly or only after ordering again. The meals were very tasty.

Leider waren wir doch etwas enttäuscht. Qualität des Essens war leider nicht sonderlich gut. Gemüse eher Instant. Fleisch sehr stark paniert. Positiv war der Service und die Freundlichkeit des Personals.

We went to the restaurant with 6 people. We were treated very well. The food was super tasty. I had Wiener Schnitzel with fried potatoes and cucumber salad. Food was 😋 delicious. But I ordered another portion of fried potatoes. Because the portion was small. For dessert there was an ice cream cup black and white, a dream 👍😋. Nach ein bißchen Recherche im Internet haben wir uns für das Restaurant entschieden, angerufen und Plätze reserviert. Ein ganz tolles gemütliches Ambiente hat uns schon mal sofort angesprochen! Der Service war freundlich und schnell. Das Essen ließ keine Wünsche offen, wir hatten zweimal Fisch und einmal Kalbsleber. Alles super angerichtet und unheimlich schmackhaft. Auch bei den Getränken gab es nichts auszusetzen, alles kam schnell und war perfekt temperiert. Da zahlt man auch gerne die 19 % MWst! Sehr zu empfehlen.

Ein alt eingesessenes Restaurant, welches bei unseren Besuchen immer eine konstante und gute Küche abgeliefert hat. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und höflich, wir fühlen uns immer sehr willkommen und werden immer wieder gerne kommen. Preis/Leistung ist stimmig.

Tolles und atmosphärisches Restaurant. Schöne Karte und tolle Umsetzung durch die Küche. Mein Vorspeisen-Highlight war das Knoblauchbrot mit zwei Dipps - wahnsinnig lecker! Sehr nettes Personal, freundlich und zugewandt. Auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung.

Wir hatten mit 8 Personen einen Tisch in der Ecke und hatten einen richtig tollen, separaten Platz! Das Essen war super lecker und hausgemacht. Der Fisch war wirklich frisch 🤩. Der Wein war super und die Bedienung sehr freundlich! Wir würden wiederkommen ⭐️!
