The food was delicious and the dessert was a dream 🥰. The Cannonau Di Sardegna (red wine) is also recommended... And the service is really great. Bennet is also incredibly friendly and communicative. Everything is really right here. Pleasant cozy atmosphere, wasn't here for the last time ☺️

A nice restaurant which, unlike many others, is open on Mondays. Everything fit together and made the evening a very pleasant dining experience, including a delicious dessert for our “birthday child” on the house.

We've enjoyed coming to Herzbergs for years and so today we tried out the lunch menu. We were disappointed, the chicken breast was fried dry and salty. When I complained, all I got was an “oh” and that was all.

The Herzberg restaurant in Scharbeutz offers a beautiful location and truly delicious food. All dishes were extremely tasty and prepared with a lot of love. The staff was mostly very friendly. For some of the waitresses, however, a little fine-tuning when dealing with the guests would be helpful. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended!

The food was really very good and freshly prepared. It could have just been a little hotter for my taste. What I generally find to be a shame in restaurants and here again, before the meal you are still attentive to the drinks and wishes of the guest, but after the meal you can be happy if you get a hold of a waiter again. Dear restaurants, when will you finally understand that this is part of good service and that you mainly earn money from the drinks. Therefore a star deduction. What a shame!!!!

We have known the restaurant for decades and always enjoy going there on vacation. Our grandchildren are also little fans of the restaurant. The food tastes simply great and, above all, is served very well prepared. As is well known, the eye eats too! The service staff is very friendly and accommodating. Special requests from guests are taken into account.

The chef knows his craft. All three dishes that were served to us by the attentive service were a culinary delight. Perfectly prepared and taste more than 5*. There is also a very cozy atmosphere in the winter garden. Gladly again.

Everything was just great! Food great, something for everyone. Lunch was also offered without saving much on the portions. The sour meat - homemade - was so tender. So everything is recommended. The staff was so kind and accommodating, but unfortunately they only get 5 stars for that. Highly recommended!!!

We had an overall pleasant evening at Herzbergs. The food was consistently good and surprised us positively. Particularly noteworthy are the fresh preparation, the quality of the food and the attractive presentation. However, the concept of the restaurant is a bit unusual: instead of being accompanied through the evening by a dedicated waiter, we were served by several different service employees. While some of them were friendly and attentive, we were not entirely impressed by the service in some moments. The finishing touches were sometimes missing - a waitress seemed a bit rude, which was also noticeable when serving the plates. We could still work on fine-tuning here to make the service more harmonious overall. We would like to positively highlight the seating in the winter garden, which offered us a pleasant atmosphere. All in all, it was a nice evening, even if the service still has room for improvement in places.”

Nach Reservierung einen Tag vorher wurden wir vom Chef selbst einem der attraktiveren Plätze im wintergartenähnlichen Außenbereich zugewiesen. Der Innenbereich entspricht von der Einrichtung her einem regionalen Traditionslokal. Der Service war sehr nett und es lief alles wie man sich es als Gast wünscht. Wir hatten 2 Fischgerichte, welche sehr schmackhaft waren, aber von der Darbietung einem einfachen regionalen Lokal entsprachen. Von daher gilt auch hier: Das Preisniveau ist deutlich zu hoch, auch wenn die Konkurrenz teilweise noch darüber liegt. Wir waren dieses Jahr an mehreren europäischen „Hot Spots“, wo trotz Corona bei gleicher oder besserer Qualität deutlich (50 %. +/-) niedrigere Preise aufgerufen wurden.

Highly recommended, very good selection on the menu and wine list as well as perfectly prepared dishes in a tasteful atmosphere. Very nice and attentive staff.

We found a small space in the winter garden, so we can only rate this area. This area was very cramped for a restaurant, and new guests automatically came into contact with one as they had to squeeze through the narrow aisle. In addition, you became an unasked listener to family discussions from the next table... The service seemed to be overwhelmed by this situation. No smile, no question if everything is okay. The food, on the other hand, was super delicious! The grilled saddle of venison is a culinary delight! Next time we visit we will definitely book a table in the restaurant area inside.

Even though we didn't make a reservation, we were warmly welcomed. The service was very friendly and quick. Our food was excellent and plentiful. A lovely evening for us, thank you very much. We can only recommend it, two thumbs up.

One of the better locations in Schabeutz and a change from the locations with a sea view. We've been there several times on our day trips and will continue to go if the facilities near the beach don't entice us too much. The price/performance ratio is okay.

A fantastic child friendly restaurant with excellent service We had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant today and it exceeded all of our expectations! As soon as you entered, you noticed how child-friendly the atmosphere was. Not only is there a special children's menu, but there were also painting supplies for the children, which kept our little ones busy before and after the meal. The food was absolutely delicious - we tried different dishes and each one was excellently prepared and very tasteful. We were particularly impressed by the fresh ingredients and the creative preparation. Another highlight was the extremely courteous service. The staff was always friendly, attentive and took great care of us. What is particularly noteworthy is the goodwill of the staff: when there was a small misunderstanding regarding the choice of food, we were immediately responded to professionally and offered us a solution without discussion that ensured our satisfaction. We can highly recommend this restaurant to everyone, especially families. Everything is just right here: atmosphere, service and, above all, the excellent food. We'll definitely be back! Very tasty food. Medium to high prices, but also a lunch menu with various €15 dishes until 4 p.m. Nice ambience in the outer winter garden, with wood tones and fur on the chairs. A bit chilly at the end of September, blankets are offered. If the conditions still learn to smile, there's also 5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

We went to "Herzbergs" twice and felt very comfortable and welcome in this restaurant. The quality of the food is really good, it is fresh and attractively prepared, and the atmosphere is also very “homey”, both inside and outside. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and dogs are also welcome(!) Definitely worth (at least) a visit! The only drawback: Vegans and vegetarians have little choice. There is only one vegan and one vegetarian dish, apart from salads...But you should definitely eat this: wild mushroom risotto for 17€!! Great! It applies to almost all the eating temples that I found, all along the coast around Scharbeutz - a dry spell for everyone who avoids animal foods... That's the only point of criticism from my point of view... Conclusion: Highly recommended!

Whenever we are on vacation in the Bay of Lübeck, we go to Herzbergs. The food, the staff, the ambience - everything is really right here. It is also very child-friendly, which is very important to us. We're already looking forward to the next time.

Perfect. Food very good, no system catering. It is freshly cooked. Lunch price performance 1A. Service very good. Food arrives at the same time and is served from the right. Children got ice cream for free. A few free parking spaces right in front of the door. Gladly again!

Great cinema, really delicious. Were here for the first time and are very impressed. Great food and very large portions! The only sticking point: it feels like there is a dog at every second table - that doesn't have to be the case at dinner and is not pleasant for allergy sufferers, among other things.

Officially open from 12 p.m. The door was already open at 11:50 a.m. and the tables were already set. The staff stood around and seemed to be waiting for guests. When I went in, I was told in a very unfriendly tone that it wouldn't be open until 12 p.m. I lost my appetite and went to another restaurant and had a great meal there. The famous first impression...

Were there twice. The boss didn't say hello to us twice even though he walked past our table or measured the tables next door. This behavior annoys me. The kebab shop next door is friendlier.

Was an absolute highlight for us. The Herzberg has a very nice atmosphere and is in a very good location. The service was very attentive and friendly. Our biggest highlight was the food. Even if it may seem ordinary at first glance, it is still very well prepared. You rarely see something like that these days. A visit to the hostel is highly recommended and we would be happy to come back. For 3 courses with 1 to 2 drinks, expect to pay around 60 euros per person.

I called 10 minutes beforehand to see if they had anything available, come on, somehow we'll find a place, very uncomplicated, sweet, nice, very great service I'm very excited, really tasty. For the starter I had camembert gratin and the main course entrecote with fried vegetables and mushrooms, everything went well together. Wiener Schnitzel eine Katastrophe - wahrscheinlich in der Friteuse „gebraten“. Keine „gewellte Panade“. Es war zäh und nicht durch. Als Koch sollte man eigentlich wissen, mit so einem wertvollen Rohstoff umzugehen. Tolles Restaurant mit enormer Luft nach oben.

We went on holiday in Scharbeutz and had dinner in various restaurants. I was looking forward to a real Wiener Schnitzel (veal). I got it, but it wasn't prepared properly. Nothing with a “wavy” breading… I personally had the impression that the schnitzel was made “dull” in the deep fryer. It's also tough and not really cooked through. As compensation there was a dessert.

The food was great, the hosts were great, the atmosphere was pleasant 👌🤷🏼‍♀️

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the food today. Ate fish dishes. No comparison to our previous visits. We hope it was just a one-off.

This evening, based on a recommendation, we booked the restaurant for our wedding anniversary. We liked the ambience outside - inside it was too dark and too warm for us. Service - unfortunately not as good as expected. No smile - a shame Wine glasses remained on the tables the entire time - we didn't have any wine - so we put them away The cutlery was so stained - we polished it ourselves - Processes - everything took a long time or didn't seem to flow smoothly - drinks took a long time - During the main course there was no question from the service as to whether everything was OK When I was clearing away I complained about the fish fillets, which were fried to death for me. The complaint was recorded - and that was it. No feedback or response from the kitchen - nothing! Complaints are not welcome - another customer also had this experience - who complained very loudly about the poor service. The ?restaurant manager? probably - said "We didn't need that" and left the customer standing and canceled the entire meal! My impression was that the customer wanted a nice evening rather than a bad, free dinner! There is still room for improvement when dealing with complaints! We shared bread and dip! That was very delicious! My husband had veal liver - which he liked - I had Redfish fillet | Cod fillet | Plaice fillet | Truffle cream | vegetables | Herb mashed potatoes The portion was too big for me personally, but that's a matter of opinion! Unfortunately, the fish fillets were almost impossible to cut with fish cutlery. Fried way too long, way too dry! What a shame! Then all the fillets were fried in egg shells. That wasn't on the menu - too bad... Puree was ok - a bit much- Sauce - probably with truffle oil - was fine! All in all, we cannot recommend the restaurant - there are too many points that weren't right - It's a shame - we expected better!

We were here several times during our vacation because we were very impressed by the food, the service and the ambience. Everyone was very friendly, child-friendly and accommodating. We tried different dishes and every day all the dishes were a delight. Thank you for a pleasant time, we will definitely be back next year!

It used to be sooooo beautiful and TODAY we are really disappointed, the food didn't taste good, the fried potatoes just burned and the plaice for (32.80) tasted like fat. One of the waitresses “looked at our two small dogs with EVIL looks”. We prefer to go to the steakhouse, it tastes 100% better there and you get proper, friendly service and dogs are very welcome!

Yesterday we celebrated my birthday here. The table was lovingly set, the staff was extremely friendly and professional, the food - à la carte - was finely prepared for all my guests, garnished in a way that was easy on the eyes and, above all, very tasty. At the end I also received a “greetings from the kitchen”. Excellent. The bill was commensurate with the experience. We would be happy to come back.

Unfortunately the service was slow. The food (meat 2x Cordon Bleu) was completely overcooked. Too bad about the calf. As compensation there were 2 schnapps. A PITY!!!

The best thing was the dips for the garlic baguette. The main course was hardly inferior.

The two of us had a lovely time here. As a starter we had prawns in aioli with chili, which were delicious. The main courses were veal liver and cordon bleu. Both dishes were very tasty, although the cordon bleu tasted exceptionally good. The wine was a Sauvignon blanc from South Africa and it was excellent. The service was attentive and friendly and we both really liked the atmosphere. All in all it was a successful evening. We can only recommend this restaurant and we will probably visit the restaurant again before we leave.

I've eaten here several times and am never disappointed. This week I chose the dish of the day “cod fillet” and feel compelled to share my enthusiasm. Offering a rather classic dish so sophisticated and delicious is extraordinary. The wine with it was also perfect and the service - even though I was there alone - was simply exemplary. Full marks and my heartfelt thanks for the great food.

A nice ambience is no substitute for good food. The food smelled of old fat, the meat was hard to cut, and the fries tasted like nothing. The plaice also tasted like fried food and the potatoes had no taste. The market vegetables were dry and tasted terrible.

A very nice place where you can enjoy a sensational selection of dishes, great wines and great service. The view of Scharbeutz's promenade from the winter garden creates a wonderful ambience. The portions are generous and really delicious. Tip: the beef tartare as a starter was a dream!

Enjoy your meal. Tastes great. Beef fillet fantastic. Risotto also good, but too much cheese for me. Very good and attentive service. If you want to sit in a more modern style, reserve the outside and something more rustic inside. Gladly again. A bottle of water for €7.90 was too expensive for me.

The restaurant presents itself in the rather higher-priced range. There were three of us there and we ordered three different dishes. The food was simply a disaster. The portion of pan fish for €28 was a joke. The fried potatoes were soaked in fat. Another mixed fish dish lacked any seasoning. The dish of the day was soaked in oil and garlic, otherwise no taste. When the restaurant manager asked what the food was like, I told him that the portion was very small. Instead of apologizing or saying something else, I was told to finish chewing and then speak. Afterwards he turned around and was not seen again for the rest of the evening, avoiding our table. Unacceptable and completely unprofessional for a restaurant manager. A female waitress finally bought us a schnapps/espresso after nothing really went right that evening. If you want good food with friendly service, it's best to go next door to Diercksen: great food to the point, reasonable prices, the boss lends a hand herself. Here you are valued as a guest and treated well. The Herzbergs don't seem to need that.

Service friendly. The tartare was very good. Unfortunately the fish is a bit undercooked and the whole thing seems very rustic. But come back and try something else.

Very nice restaurant. Food was great and super tasty. It's a slightly higher price range, but it's worth it. The boss and the service were super friendly and despite a reservation that went wrong we got a table. Absolutely recommended.

I can't complain. Normally you don't expect culinary heaven on earth when you stop by a restaurant in a holiday destination. But that is the case here. Great atmosphere on the terrace, modern and cozy. Eating is simply a dream. Wienerschnitzel with asparagus and potatoes with homemade holondaise and melted butter. I haven't eaten so well in a long time and, especially for the price, it's totally fair - I've paid a lot more in Berlin.

Very good entrecôte with Cesar’s salad and sour meat with potatoes. Always happy.

Vollkommen unverhofft stießen wir auf dieses Juwel. Nach einem Einkaufsbummel wollten wir eine Kleinigkeit zu Mittag essen. Weil es gerade in der Nähe war, entschieden wir uns für das Herzbergs. Und diese Entscheidung werden wir nie bereuen! Wir fühlten uns in dem gemütlichen und sehr gepflegten Ambiente mit angenehmer Musik von Anfang an pudelwohl. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir bestellten eine Spargelcremesuppe mit Katenschinkenwürfeln. Eine ungewöhnliche Kombination, die unerhört köstlich war. Mein Mann sagte sogar, dass er bisher keine bessere Spargelsuppe gegessen hat. Auch die Nordseekrabbensuppe war ein Gedicht. Dann wurde die Scampiofanne serviert, die ebenfalls köstlich war unf das sensationelle Beef Tartar. Perfekt angemachtres handgrschnittenes Fleisch, gekrönt von einer kleinen Kugel selbstgemachtem Meerettich-Eis und umkränzt von handverlesenen exquisiten Blattsalaten (kein schnöder Rucola o.ä.). Dazu feine Apfelspalten in Roe Beetedaft eingelegt. Das Ganze benetzt von einem großartigen Dressing und begleitet von frisch geröstetem Knoblauchbrot. Ein Gedicht! Genau wie die üppige Portion Creme Brule mit Frucht-Limettenmark und frischen Früchten wie aus dem Bilderbuch. Wir werden ganz sicher mit mehr Hunger wiederkommen!
