My partner very pleasantly surprised me yesterday by going out for a Syrian dinner together in Chemnitz. It was both our first time here – it definitely made us want to return and repeat the infamous wish 😀. A very, very nice atmosphere. The grilled sea bream, tabbouleh, and grilled lamb – very, very delicious 😋. We 100% recommend this restaurant. If you're curious and like trying new things because you're new to Syrian food, definitely give it a try. It can only be good.

We ordered vine leaves – they were fine and edible, even if they were a bit dry and didn't seem fully cooked. Unfortunately, the kebab and grilled chicken didn't really impress me – they could have been better seasoned and prepared for my Arab taste. Overall, it was okay, but there's definitely room for improvement.

There's nothing to complain about the food, which is good. However, we ate in the unheated and cold restaurant in mid-October. It wasn't a pleasant experience, and our visit felt more like a snack bar. There's definitely room for improvement.

We ate at Bab Sharqi for the second time last night – and were absolutely thrilled again! Everything tasted excellent: the pomegranate lemonade, the appetizer platter, and the grilled lamb and chicken were real highlights. The staff were consistently attentive and friendly, without being intrusive. A particularly pleasant experience was that the wait for the food was perfectly timed – not too long, but also not too quick, so you could look forward to each course. An all-around successful evening in a stylish, oriental ambiance. We'll definitely be back – we definitely recommend it!

We ate here for the first time last night. We received very friendly and courteous service. The restaurant is cozy and very well-kept. The food was very, very tasty. I even had some of the pasta packed up. I highly recommend the gourmet menu for two people. It offers a delicious insight into Syrian cuisine. Good value for money!! Excellent sums it up quite well. We were seated at 7 p.m. The service was very friendly. The menu was very clear. The food was incredibly delicious, as were the drinks. The ambiance is very nice, whether inside or outside. The restrooms are super clean. In the end, the price-performance ratio is completely acceptable. We definitely recommend it.

There were two of us there and we ate the set menu for two. The food served was incredibly good. A variety of cold and warm appetizers, freshly prepared, each with its own oriental touch, very authentic and extremely delicious. The ambiance was just like you'd expect from a Syrian restaurant. The tamarind lemonade and Lebanese white wine are highly recommended. Everything was immaculate. The service was very attentive.

The appetizer platter is highly recommended. Well mixed selection, tasted great. The main course was also very tasty, although we had to wait an hour for the food (on a Monday).

Unfortunately not quite as expected. Taboule cut way too big, falafel not homemade, lamb rolls burnt, pomegranate lemonade tastes like chemicals😏 Baked cauliflower doesn't belong on a Syrian plate. The chicken and the cold starters were good. We won't be coming back. We wanted to do something good for our Arab family from the Netherlands. Too bad.

The food tastes wonderful, excellent. Please don't bring up the topic of religion because it might get a bit unfriendly. But the food there is freshly prepared and delicious. Recommended.

Another visit to Bab Sharqi and it was great again. This time a communal meal in a group of 7 people. Lots of delicious starters and mega-fresh main courses. The portions were huge, fresh and very, very tasty. The prices are also justified. As always, the service was very friendly and accommodating. Thank you for the wonderful, delicious evening.

We were absolutely thrilled with the delicious food, which was beautifully prepared and seasoned. The children all found something too. Unfortunately we didn't have room for dessert. We'll probably have to come by there again 😊

As "day visitors to Chemnitz" we looked online for a restaurant to eat before a concert evening at the AJZ Talschock and came across Bab Scharqi. Weather-wise we were lucky at the beginning of September and were able to sit outside, so I can't say much about inside. It's very nice and comfortable to sit outside in the "green" and you don't even notice the street. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and the service was absolutely great right up to the end. Very friendly and accommodating, but not intrusive. We chose the gourmet menu for 2 and were surprised with a full table full of delicious little things. So you have the opportunity to try a lot of things and the food tasted excellent. My favorite "Taboule" (parsley salad) and the dumplings filled with sheep's cheese. Even though the portions were generous overall, I still had to try the “Baqdash” ice cream for dessert and that was a great decision. We drank the delicious homemade lemonades, tamarind is very tasty, sour and fresh. Finally, a Syrian coffee with cardamom. Overall, it was a great visit to the restaurant and we felt like we had slowed down from everyday life. - It's just a shame for us that we live several hundred kilometers away from Chemnitz, otherwise it would become our regular restaurant.

We visited the restaurant on Saturday evening. The order was taken quickly and friendly and it didn't take long at all for the drinks we ordered to be brought to us. The food was served immediately afterwards. The appearance and taste were very good, appetizing and well seasoned. The prices are reasonable.

Bab Sharqi is an absolute recommendation for lovers of oriental cuisine. The dishes are fresh, aromatic and authentic, especially the shish tavuk and d. Fattosch salad was a dream! The service is attentive and warm, the ambience invites you to feel good. You feel like you are on a culinary journey to the Middle East. A real gem in Chemnitz that we will definitely visit again!

I've never been to a Syrian before, so I was all the more curious about what the food would taste like there. Homemade lemonade and food tasted perfect. Very friendly staff, the ambience is quite pleasant, but not an authentic highlight (a bit old, it was probably an Italian restaurant before). The food is tasty, even if the menu was previously more extensive and the prices were significantly increased... compared to the increased costs etc. Rating good, but things are better in Chemnitz 😉

First impression, nice atmosphere, friendly welcome from 4 to 5 people. Unfortunately we sat for a very long time until we were served, despite the large number of staff. Pomegranate lemonade was served, but unfortunately it only consisted of water and syrup, which was a shame for the price. That wasn't on the menu. Two starters and two main courses were ordered. The main courses arrived after what felt like 10 minutes, the starters didn't come at all! There was no staff presence, there was no chance to ask questions or order drinks. Overall, the food and drinks weren't convincing, which is a shame.

We stopped by spontaneously today and got a table without any problems. Anyone who has ever been to Syria or the neighboring countries and has experienced Arabic cuisine will find that the salads and starters in particular are very traditional. In my opinion, the main courses are slightly adapted to the German palate. I think the place could do with a little paint again, it looks quite old. The service was great. The guys try really hard, are attentive and nice. The food was prepared with fresh ingredients and came together quite quickly. The Aperol looked neat and attractively decorated. In terms of price, the prices are (still) humane. You can warmly recommend the restaurant. I will definitely come again.

The four of us were here for the first time yesterday. Even though Valentine's Day was busy, doors opened and doors closed, everything worked out wonderfully. Service was very friendly, drinks came quickly (my Bab Sharqi tea was delicious), starters and main courses all tasted very good. We will be back.

Das Essen ist fanatisch ! Das Genießer Menü für 2 ist eines der besten Essen die ich in einem Restaurant je hatte. Von allen etwas dabei. Frische Salate, gutes Fleisch und alles ist super gewürzt.

Auf einer Reise nach Chemnitz sind wir durch Zufall in diesem tollen Restaurant gelandet. Wir saßen an einem lauen Sommerabend draußen und wurden sehr gastfreundlich begrüßt. Lage: Das sich eine Straße vor der Terrasse befindet, haben wir nicht wahrgenommen. Essen: Nachdem wir die Karte auf uns wirken ließen, haben wir uns für das Genießermenü entschieden. Alle Pasten, Salate etc. waren sehr ansehnlich angerichtet und frisch zubereitet. Alleine für das Essen würden wir noch einmal kommen. Service: Der Service war sehr freundlich und hat uns mit Rat uns Tat zur Seite gestanden. Insgesamt hat uns das Restaurant zu 100 % überzeugt.

Sehr leckeres und meiner Meinung authentisches Essen, ich empfehle die Vorspeisenvariation. Die Hauptspeisen waren auch sehr lecker, der Service zuvorkommend, wenn auch zum Ende etwas langsam.

Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen sehr lecker. Kleine Enttäuschung war am Ende der Cappuccino. Er war aus der Tüte und noch nicht mal richtig aufgelöst.

Service nicht besonders gut. Umgefallenes Glas wird nicht abgewischt, das dürfen die Gäste selbst mit Servietten und der Tischdecke tun. Wird nicht gewechselt. Das Essen ist gut.

A group of 14 of us went last April, and we enjoyed the delicious food, especially the sauces. I asked to play Tunisian music, and we enjoyed it. On a side note, the food was a bit pricey, but we were solely focused on the fantastic taste.

Unsere Firma Sozialstation der Diakonie wurde heute vom Restaurant durch ein Büfett ausgestattet. Die Vorbestellung lief schon Super. Sehr nettes Personal, der Chef vom Restaurant hat im Vorgespräch schon eine spitzen Beratung durchgeführt. Die syrischen Kostlichkeiten waren für einige noch fremd, aber es war am Ende eine Geschmacksexplosion für jeden Mitarbeiter der Diakonie. Die Lieferung erfolgte pünktlich und wurde vom Chef selbst durchgeführt. Jede Zutat wurde erklärt und es war am Ende so reichlich das ein großer Teil sogar noch eine Geschmacksprobe für die Familie mit nach Hause genommen wurde. Preis Leistung einfach Spitze. Alle Köstlichkeiten waren mit viel Liebe zubereitet und ein Augenschmaus war die Garnierung bunt und frische Lebensmittel. Das Restaurant erhält die volle Punktzahl in jeder Bewertung und man kann es nur weiter empfehlen. Wir bedanken uns für die gute Bedienung und wünschen dem Restaurant weiterhin viel Erfolg und ein Gesundes Neues Jahr. Der Eine oder Andere wird sicherlich das Restaurant zusätzlich noch einmal aufsuchen.

Meiner Meinung nach das beste syrische Restaurant in Chemnitz! Weltklasse Essen, freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Wir hatten hier schon viele schöne Abende!
