Herbert Schrage in Bad Waldsee

A down-to-earth restaurant run by two lovely older women, offering traditional German fare. The food and snacks are good. Unfortunately, I don't particularly like the sauerkraut, which I find overcooked, but that's a matter of taste. We always enjoy coming back there.

The bar has a really cute ambiance. It was quite busy when we were there today, so the noise level was a bit high. The service was attentive and friendly, but there was only one person. Unfortunately, that was at least one person too few. The menu is quite limited, and we unfortunately had to wait a bit. The food itself was good, though. The cocktail selection, however, was all the more varied and beautifully presented, all delicious and quite large. We would definitely come back for cocktails and a snack, but for a business lunch, it was unfortunately the wrong choice.

Wir sind durch die ganze Stadt gelaufen und dachten, hier richtig gut bürgerlich zu Essen. Die Bewertungen waren durchwegs positiv und haben uns leider sehr getäuscht. Als wir ankamen und durch den Raucherbereich in das kleine Nebenzimmer mit stickiger Luft und Fenster unter der Decke zum Essen wollten, sagte man uns, dass es nichts zu Essen für uns gäbe, für zwei Personen!!! Die Küche hätte so viel zu tun, die vier Kegelbahnen zu bedienen. Eine Entschuldigung gab es nicht dafür. Somit kann ich diese Gaststätte absolut nicht weiterempfehlen. Trotz dass es eine Kegelbahn ist, kann man trotzdem ein ansprechendes Ambiente für seine Gäste bieten.

Excellent service! We spontaneously got a table for two. The pizza and pasta were very good, and the salad was great too. And above all, the service was incredibly good and very friendly 👍🏼 Highly recommended!
