Super nice restaurant, we love it. The staff Always friendly and attentive. You feel really good as a guest there. Worth every star. :)

The food was delicious, they have a lot of variety of food, too much to choose from, I ordered the Hemingway schnitzel and it was a very large portion, the rest we ordered to take away. The service is very slow, we arrived at a time when it was almost empty and it still took a long time to get to our table, even the waitress ignored us, 4 tables arrived after us and she went to serve them first than us, You just have to look back and see that we had a while without drinks or anything on the table... Everything else was good, normal price.

There is something for everyone here. No matter whether burgers/pizza/salads/cocktails/coffee/breakfast/vegetarian/vegan/meat. The selection is very large, including when it comes to drinks. You can also order non-alcoholic Lillets/Aperols/Hugos. My halloumi salad was ok. There was a bit too much dressing on it, so it got soggy very quickly. The white chocolate soufflé was amazing! We were in a large group. In general there were a lot of people there. That's why it was relatively loud and narrow. In terms of style, the furnishings in the next room where we sat didn't really fit together. The chairs also had clear signs of wear. The waitress did her job well but it was busy so you had to wait a bit. One of us had to wait significantly longer twice because he was probably forgotten. You can go there, but it won't be our favorite restaurant.

Yesterday was the first time there, the ambience would be nicer if it were renovated, the chairs were all broken or torn seats... maybe that's how it should be? The hamburger I ordered used an older lettuce and it wasn't great. The hamburger bun was also rather dry...the dessert was reminiscent of a ready-made cake. The service was at least nice.

Very busy restaurant. All age groups represented. Food, burgers, pizza, etc., salad selection and portion size of the dishes were very good. There's nothing to complain about in terms of taste. Unfortunately there is no cappuccino with oat milk on offer. Incredible.

It was very nice there...we had breakfast. We had a platter for 2 people, where the three of us ate. Plenty and everything fresh. Service, very accommodating and nice. It was clean and also the toilets, new and clean. We would love to come back.

I give -- ZERO -- stars for the Hemingway...the one Unfortunately, a star has to be given. The Hemingway has dropped a lot in terms of quality/quantity and service. Only the “PRICE on the menu” is always adjusted regularly. I regularly went to the Hemingway - I LOVED it - for breakfast or dinner with friends. Which after today -- NOT -- will no longer be the case. I have also had something delivered to my home many times in the past. I am of the opinion that if something -- too RIGHT -- doesn't fit (missing dressing for the salad, burnt paninis, missing cheese or another specified ingredient on the menu that is missing), the GUEST has the -- RIGHT -- to turn it up -- HONEST -- way to complain. I also did this over the phone (most recently the missing dressing for the salad that was delivered). The Hemingway's management handles "justified complaints" by advising the "uncomfortable" guest - even if he is in the RIGHT - to order somewhere else. There is also a note that we are on the "red list" because of the complaints that have been made - rightly so. For me this has the “bitter aftertaste” of insinuating the guest, which is absolutely unjustified and a “no go”! Therefore, I will NOT "carry my money" to this restaurant anymore, as apparently only "mouthy guests" are wanted there and this restaurant does not need to "keep" its customers in a "fair" way maintain", after all, the catering industry, in this case the Hemingway, "lives" from its paying guests!

Also a really good restaurant for food with a daily changing lunch menu. Pizzas are consistently very good and not too expensive.

There is a lack of attention to detail. The food is mediocre as is the ambience. Vegetarian options are in short supply. There is no vegan milk alternative. If you look closely you can tell that despite small renovations/painting work it is getting old. Stacks of beer mats under the tables? Plus points Service was friendly. And dogs are allowed.

Felt like crying because I was hungry and wanted a good breakfast but i had to pay for my coffee and leave in peace smh.

Unfortunately very very bad service. Food at best average. Corresponds to the impression I had of the city of Weiden...not good. I would only eat or drink here again in an emergency, maybe not even then.

A friend of mine had to wait almost 45 minutes for his salad and I ate there yesterday and had to throw up 4 times during the night

We were there for breakfast on a Saturday and were served very quickly and friendly. The food was varied, fresh and really plentiful. Above all, it was very good! The only drawback: Even though there wasn't much going on, after the initial good service and after we had cleared away, no one took care of us anymore. The dice on the tables, which you could actually use to signal that someone from the service should come or that you want to pay, are obviously just decoration. After a long wait, we ended up paying at the counter on the way out. Something must have gone wrong, but we'd still like to come back!

Finally a delicious iced coffee again. Unfortunately there were so many wasps outside that we had to go inside

Unfortunately totally dingy. Coca Cola on the menu. But it isn't. Tables, map everything sticks. You can't touch anything without getting sticky hands. There are also a lot of wasps around. Rum and cake is also a bit far from tasty... Too bad... Hope it changes again

Really big place. Large pleasant terrace in the shade. Plenty of parking. Pleasant service. Good prices. They have a game room as well as bowling and darts, and there is a disco right next door. It's always nice to be here. My absolute favorite dish is the halloumi salad, which I enjoy every time I visit a restaurant. Hemingway has a good selection of vegetarian options, which is very pleasing.

So I was there 6 times within a short period of time and my work colleagues and I were so impressed by the pizza that we ordered it again every time. The pizzas are also a good size so that one will fill you up. Great price/performance ratio. New: July 26, 2024 Yesterday I came from Bad Berneck with my wife and briefly looked at the market and the park. Then into Hemingway and we both ordered the pizza mix. A dream of a pizza, only the knives, you have to come up with something. My wife only managed half of it, but what can I say. Warmed up in the pan in the evening and it tastes like fresh, plus sharp knives. I think next time I'll order one to eat in and one to take away.

We were actually just passing through and were looking for a nice place to have lunch. In the end, the visit to Hemingway was the highlight of our day. The ambience is extraordinary and perhaps unique in Germany. After entering we were immediately taken to our table near the children's play area. Reservations are recommended but not required. If you want, you can play bowling, try out the pool tables or adults can try out the casino machines. The menu is wide-ranging, we ended up choosing the delicious burgers and didn't regret it. Our service, no, all of the service staff, were extremely courteous. Our meals were prepared fresh and quickly, and there are high chairs for the children. The toilets are clean and modern. We definitely won't eat there for the last time and are really looking forward to our next visit 😊👍

We often go to Hemingway, we were always satisfied, but last time and today we were very dissatisfied. We ordered a salad and it was completely brown. It was passed on to the service person. A new salad was given as compensation. With the words: "It is controlled!" But unfortunately that wasn't the case, he was just as brown and almost rotten. We are very disappointed. We really hope this isn't the new standard!

Es wurde an die Servicekraft weitergegeben. Als Entschädigung wurde ein neuer Salat mitgegeben. Mit den Worten: "Es wird kontrolliert!" Aber leider war das nicht so, er war genau so braun und fast faul. Wir sind sehr enttäuscht. Wir hoffen sehr, dass das nicht der neue Standart ist!

Even during the week the store was full. Reservation is recommended and can be easily done online. Staff very friendly and quick. The coleslaw with the burger is more of a decoration than a side dish, and the fries aren't a big hit either. The burger and the choices are really good. Everything was freshly prepared and the burger tasted really great.

Unfortunately I have to agree with another review. The food there is now only snack quality. Currywurst from the deep fryer, fries rock hard, previously a steak dry and tough, pizzas where the salami is burnt and curved upwards and the cheese is already dried out because it was baked too long and too hot... just prepared quickly and relatively carelessly. I would like a restaurant like this in Weiden to pay attention to the quality and taste of the food. There are others that are cheaper and you get juicy, tasty food, even without a deep fryer. Sorry, I used to enjoy going to the Hemingway often, but I hope something changes again and this review is taken seriously as a cry for help. Thanks

3 employees and no one manages to assign us a seat, even though there is a sign at the entrance asking us to be assigned a seat. We waited a long time and now we drove again. Fortunately, Weiden has many other options.

Went here for brunch on Mother's Day. Absolute disaster here. Service totally unplanned, you wait over an hour for a coffee. After two hours still no food. Is not recommended at all.

Fries weren't fresh and only lukewarm, and in general the food wasn't particularly warm. There were three of us and the last one got the food when I was already finished. For the second time in a row, I probably won't go there again.

I can't say it any other way: I love the Hemingway! I like the atmosphere, the flair, the wide selection of delicious food, the decoration, the music, and so much more. It's also really great that dogs are welcome too (mine even always got a drinking bowl). I always enjoy coming here 😊

Billiards, food and something to drink? It couldn't be better! So anyone who's up for a round of billiards and wants to eat something comes here. Alcohol is forbidden in the billiards areas.

We ordered chicken wings and a salad. Chicken wings were not well fried. Then we asked for tabasco. Then they brought sweet and sour sauce. I think my goat cheese salad is a bit too expensive at €15. And when we paid we didn't get the rest of our money back. €4.50 was leftover money. The waitress didn't understand that. We didn't want to tip. Stupid to say, but I don't pay a tip for half raw wings and bad service.
