Yesterday I went here with my regular group for pizza. I have to say, the pizza was absolutely awful. A slice of ham, quartered a few times and stretched out, with practically no cheese on it, and so thin it almost tore. The mushrooms were also disappointing. I've never eaten such a bad pizza. The pizza maker should try making pizza somewhere else, for example in Latsch or at the Naabtalhaus in Luhe. There you actually get your money's worth. This isn't what saving money looks like.

We were there on Sunday evening with 11 people for dinner and we were all disappointed. The burgers were totally dry and the fries were cold – a real shame.

We went bowling at the Hemingway in Weiden, and it was simply fantastic! The young man who looked after us was truly fantastic—friendly, attentive, and always there to help, whether it was ordering food and drinks or dealing with minor issues with the train. You could really tell that his guests' well-being is important to him. We felt completely at home and will definitely be back!

Yesterday, we spontaneously went to Hemingway with our kids without a reservation. The incredibly friendly waitress offered us a table anyway (for 1.5 hours), which we gratefully accepted. We had a pizza mix, currywurst, spaghetti bolognese, and a pizza margarita for the kids. We didn't have to wait long for the food, and it was delicious. Thanks also to the lovely waitress who was so attentive to the girls 😍

A very good, accessible cafe with a superb breakfast. A great atmosphere and a fantastic play area for younger guests.

Unfortunately disappointing. It was busy on a Sunday. As soon as we arrived, people behind the counter rolled their eyes. I understand that the service staff are very busy, but unfortunately, you don't feel welcome at all. We waited a very long time for our food. It was also noticeable that the food didn't arrive at the same time at some tables. This was the case for us too. Furthermore, the food wasn't well presented. The plates and napkins were dirty, and the taste was only OK. It's a shame, because the Hemingway is actually a good place to go for a spontaneous meal, and the selection is actually quite diverse. But we won't be coming back after this experience.

We've been coming here regularly for several years, but the place has deteriorated considerably. We were here on Tuesday evening for a cozy evening. The service was very friendly and attentive, so full marks for the service. The ambiance, even though it wasn't even full, was very uncomfortable. The music is (always) turned up way too loud, making conversation difficult and tiring. The food—we opted for burgers this time—was terrible. A shame.

Unfortunately the tortellini were too salty again

It's getting more expensive these days, I think, but the quality is also getting worse, so the price-performance ratio isn't right; it tastes very much like ready-made stuff. I'd say it's okay, you can eat it; there are much better options, but also worse ones.

Really bad service. Order arrived an hour later than agreed. Just plain awful.

We reserved a table for breakfast at 10 a.m. and asked if there was an option to sit outside. The waiter said no problem, you can choose. Unfortunately, the same young man ignored us. At least four more tables arrived after us, and they were served by the same person before us. After being treated like air for 25 minutes, our only option was to leave the restaurant. Unfortunately, that was a solid 0, and there is a lot of room for improvement. This restaurant won't be returning anytime soon.

Delicious food - service takes quite a while; even if it suddenly gets quite crowded, you shouldn't be forgotten for 20 minutes. The waitress was friendly, though. The atmosphere is OK, but it's quite loud.

2 adults, 1 baby, and 1 toddler. The pancakes with maple syrup came without maple syrup, and the natural yogurt without honey and nuts. We didn't say anything because everything else was fine and we were busy with the little ones. When it came time to pay, we were seen with the glowing service cube on the table, but no one came. At some point, I went to the counter and asked to pay, but still no one came. At some point, we stood at the table with our things packed until an older server came over to us and said in a rude manner that guests outside on the terrace also want to pay. This led to a cheeky little argument that only cost us time. Oh well... at least we got to watch the long play of colors from blue to red on the service cube three times.

Great place, I love it. The food is excellent. The staff is friendly, the menu is extensive, and they also have a breakfast menu. It's worth it.

Quantity over quality. A very annoyed barmaid greeted us... We were clearly not welcome. The black-haired waitress, however, was great and friendly. The food was unfortunately nothing... the fries tasted like old fry grease. They were also soaked in grease and simply soggy. The burger meat was frozen. The sauce seemed to be homemade, but it wasn't great, and there wasn't much of it. The pasta with cheese sauce was okay, but not seasoned. Salt and pepper weren't available either. In general, I noticed that most of the food was cleared away unfinished... But that wasn't usually because people were full... the second beer tasted like dish soap... We called it a night in good company. Visually, everything was very nicely presented.

It was one of the best and tastiest restaurants 😋 I've ever been to. The service was very friendly; I would love to come back.

The Hemingway is a very good place to have breakfast or simply enjoy a coffee, cappuccino, etc. The food, drinks, and service are excellent. It can get quite crowded at times, but that shouldn't be a problem if you're in pleasant company.

Larger establishment with a large terrace. A little longer wait for food, otherwise everything is fine.

Watched the game between Bayern and Mönchengladbach today. Completely disappointed because the 2nd league game was shown afterwards instead of the championship celebration and the bowl handover. 😡

Breakfast underground - service too Unfortunately the breakfast is subpar again. It used to be that way. Then came a very good time in which we enjoyed being here. But unfortunately our last visit was a complete disaster. It started with the fact that I chose a breakfast that would have included Prosecco. I said I can't drink alcohol (I'm breastfeeding) and asked if there was a non-alcoholic one. Answer: No. Ok, short and sweet. Then I asked if I could have something else for it, e.g. B. a hot drink (according to the menu, coffee costs €0.30 more than a Prosecco - I would have paid more if necessary). Answer: No. Then I left it at that. Breakfast arrives and I have to say that neither the quality (including limp vegetables and fruit that had probably been cut for a long time) nor the quantity (the rolls were far too much for the little stuff you could eat on or with it - and that's saying something!) were worth the money (16.90)! In addition, the latte was about the size of a normal coffee and just lukewarm. Normally you can get nice big bowls/milk coffee cups everywhere... During breakfast I had to hear that a gentleman at the next table could easily order scrambled eggs instead of fried eggs. That makes you feel a bit fooled, to say the least... So I waited for our bill and was still of the opinion that something would definitely be deducted because I didn't have the Prosecco. But puff cake! The €16.90 was charged. All I can say is THANK YOU! When I gave almost no tip, the waitress, who wasn't really friendly anyway, literally snatched the money out of my hand and looked at me askance. But why should I tip generously here?! My conclusion: I won't be coming back. And neither does my family. And I don't skimp on telling people the same thing.

The staff and food were really great. We were served super quickly, the staff was very friendly and helpful even though the store was full outside. The food also came very quickly and was extremely tasty; the pizza, salad and burgers were all great. The only thing that wasn't great was the toilets, they were dirty and the soap dispenser was empty. Of course I am aware that the guests are to blame for the condition of the toilets, but when you "handle" so many guests you just have to check it regularly. We would still like to come back.

We first went bowling with our children. A very nice atmosphere. Afterwards we went to eat something in the restaurant downstairs. We felt very comfortable here too. The food was beautifully prepared, it was very tasty and, in our opinion, the quantity was more than sufficient. The service was very friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be back!

Two weeks ago I was at Hemingway and had pizza and a salad there. The bottom of the pizza was completely burnt and the salad was swimming in the dressing and was mostly inedible. This time we went bowling and when we got there it was just dirty. There was dirt everywhere on the floor, the floor of the toilet on the upper floor was also dirty and sticky. However, this time the food was okay. The service was rather difficult upstairs and downstairs. The service box didn't work and the staff occasionally looked around the corner, but even if the glasses were empty, someone only came by after waving several times. In general, however, I'm not impressed.

My partner and I were there for breakfast today and were served in such a rude and disrespectful manner by a lady of older age. After the tip there was neither a thank you nor a “do you need the receipt”, the receipt was thrown at us and at the same time she turned around without saying goodbye, we will definitely not let this person serve us anymore, you felt like the last idiot.

We were there as a larger group with children. The volume was very unpleasant and conversations were hardly possible. The service was friendly and attentive, unfortunately all of our dishes arrived at different times. Some were already finished when others still had no food. Nuggets were dripping in grease and the fries were unfortunately cold. Milkshake was just cocoa. Too bad. The schnitzels, on the other hand, were good. The service wanted to clear away our plates while we were still eating. Unfortunately it doesn't work either.

Were visiting Weiden. Group of 8. Food was very good. The staff is friendly, our waitress is always on hand. The dishes came quickly. Inviting atmosphere, lots of parking spaces. Simply reserve online via the website. We'll be back on our next visit. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Local in Weiden with a nice atmosphere, various seating areas/areas, a large selection of food and parking right in front of the door. Menu with a large selection - something for everyone (burgers, schnitzels, salads, pizza from the stone oven like an Italian restaurant, breakfast selection until lunchtime) Different areas for sitting - Bavarian area or classic. Extra room for birthday parties etc. possible. Play area for children - suitable for families, high chair, changing area, children's meals, etc. Parking right in front of the door. It feels like it's always been there - previously with a passage to the disco, now next to it/small passage to the arcade, above the bowling alley. Service 4, once we were well served, the other time we had to wait a long time for the first order, even though service staff were free.

The food was very tasty, everything was freshly prepared and very attractively presented. On the day of our visit (Sunday) the Hemmingway was very well attended. The service gave everything, but hardly kept up. After the first drink we had to request the service again and again, be it for more drinks, missing food or the bill. It was also a shame that our food (8 dishes) only came one after the other and not at the same time, so that the first ones had already finished eating by the time the last one even had their food in front of them. Overall it was very loud even though we had a seat in a corner.

One of the best burgers I have had here in Germany. The sauce on it was absolutely amazing. The service was a little slow, but it was busy so it makes sense. The atmosphere is a little loud, but that's to be expected at this sort of place. Highly recommend eating here.

Was there again last week on Friday after about 20 years with very good school friends, it was very impressive, it was super nice and everything was perfect, food, service, ambience.👍👍👍

So a bank would be reserved. But we were given a small table with absolutely crappy chairs. Then they had a dice at the table that was supposed to signal what you wanted to order or pay, which I can say didn't work. Then we ordered pizza and currywurst. The only positive thing about the pizza was the size but nothing else. In terms of taste, there was very little topping, there was supposed to be oregano on it, it only saw the edekett but not the spice. The cutlery should also be changed every now and then. Knives don't even cut a flat pizza. I was there for the first time and also the last time. Oh yes, the pizza cost 14.80 euros, way too much. Every tk pizza has more taste.

Went there for lunch as a couple. We had to wait a long time for the waitress to finally come to take our order. Drinks came quickly. I only drank water because I don't like the Diet Coke here. The original would be much better. This time we had to wait longer than usual for the food, but it tasted very good and the portion was large. Would come more often if some of the waitresses were friendlier and were allowed to sit in the next room above the guest room. But that's no longer allowed after 12 p.m., I have no idea why.

We had reservations for 8 p.m. For bowling we booked online and received a confirmation email. We therefore assumed that we would definitely have a place. Upon arrival we were told that we had to answer an email to confirm which was a joke in my opinion. That's why 1 star and I'll never see you again.

The premises has a parking lot. Nice service, delicious food.

Parking situation goes like this. Went there in a group and the staff forgot the fries from all the burgers. Then you eat everything individually or wait 10-15 minutes and eat the burger cold. The last fries came about 45 minutes after the burger. A drink is ordered, after ten minutes you ask and you don't know anything about the order... If something goes wrong with the train, it takes a few minutes for it to be taken care of. Sometimes 1-2 errors when calculating the points in the system. There is only one toilet for the entire store, so a single room for everyone... The first and the last time!

Great flair and a relaxed, mixed atmosphere

One star too many. Went with a child and a group of 5. At first it was apparently only reserved for 3, then we had specially reserved the children's corner and the space was allocated elsewhere. Fries were cold and the waitresses took a lot of time, pressing the cube several times but no reaction. I enjoyed coming before and was really happy, but today was a total mess. We won't be back that quickly. I will certainly tell friends about this visit, so I can't recommend it.

Had tuna salad, not cheap, but crunchy, fresh, good dressing and a huge portion. Recommended.

Hemingway has a play area for children. I think it's very, very, very good!

Vegetarian and vegan declarations are horror and no one can really recognize them. The vegan burger is also served with non-vegan coleslaw. If you don't want this, you can still pay the full €12.50 for this sad little pile of misery. Alternative side dishes are of course available for an additional charge. My companion's side salad had also seen better days. Unfortunately I can no longer recommend it

The food was delicious, they have a lot of variety of food, too much to choose from, I ordered the Hemingway schnitzel and it was a very large portion, the rest we ordered to take away. The service is very slow, we arrived at a time when it was almost empty and it still took a long time to get to our table, even the waitress ignored us, 4 tables arrived after us and she went to serve them first than us, You just have to look back and see that we had a while without drinks or anything on the table... Everything else was good, normal price.

There is something for everyone here. No matter whether burgers/pizza/salads/cocktails/coffee/breakfast/vegetarian/vegan/meat. The selection is very large, including when it comes to drinks. You can also order non-alcoholic Lillets/Aperols/Hugos. My halloumi salad was ok. There was a bit too much dressing on it, so it got soggy very quickly. The white chocolate soufflé was amazing! We were in a large group. In general there were a lot of people there. That's why it was relatively loud and narrow. In terms of style, the furnishings in the next room where we sat didn't really fit together. The chairs also had clear signs of wear. The waitress did her job well but it was busy so you had to wait a bit. One of us had to wait significantly longer twice because he was probably forgotten. You can go there, but it won't be our favorite restaurant.

Yesterday was the first time there, the ambience would be nicer if it were renovated, the chairs were all broken or torn seats... maybe that's how it should be? The hamburger I ordered used an older lettuce and it wasn't great. The hamburger bun was also rather dry...the dessert was reminiscent of a ready-made cake. The service was at least nice.

Very busy restaurant. All age groups represented. Food, burgers, pizza, etc., salad selection and portion size of the dishes were very good. There's nothing to complain about in terms of taste. Unfortunately there is no cappuccino with oat milk on offer. Incredible.
