As the name suggests, it is a feel-good restaurant👍 The food was delicious, the service was quick and the ambience was very good.

Overall, I wasn't really impressed with the food. For starters, I had a saganaki, which was very poorly presented, garnished with three slices of cucumber and a tomato. I'm used to it garnished with a little oil and a few onions, but I didn't think €10 was justified. The main course was the Mediterranean platter. The gyro wasn't that visually appealing, and the sauce for the pork was very bland. Others at the table had the appetizer platter for two, which was charged at €38, but the menu says it's €36. The response was that there were new prices, but the menu wasn't up to date. This simply shouldn't be allowed.

I really have to praise it. I was here for the first time with my son today, and I have to say: everything was top-notch. The service, the child-friendliness, the quality of the food, the reasonable prices, and the friendly, attentive welcome from the manager herself. Everything was fantastic, keep up the good work.

You can't really call this place a feel-good restaurant. Only regulars were welcomed. We sat there and were ignored. The hair in the food wasn't tasty either.

I don't understand the bad reviews. This was my first time here and I felt very comfortable. I've rarely experienced such friendly and attentive service. The food was very good and the portions were generous. The prices are fair.

Terrible! Never again! Unfriendly service, also very inattentive. Obviously regulars were served very warmly and courteously, but everyone else was not. The food wasn't beautifully presented, and the taste was so-so... We arrived 10! minutes before our reservation time, and there were still plenty of seats available in the restaurant. We were seriously sent back out into the rain. At first I thought it was a joke. We should have just left. The evening was already kind of over by then 🤨

Nice ambiance. Everyone was very friendly. But the food was really manageable. The salad consisted of three lettuce leaves. You had to search for the rice. The Metaxa sauce was also somewhere...so not really plentiful. I wouldn't recommend it.

It's so nice and pleasantly cool in the naturally air-conditioned interior. The food tastes even lighter and even better. Bravo, keep it up.

Hmm, the meat on my mixed plate was very tender and delicious. I'd give it 5 stars. However, the salad and rice would only get 2-3 stars. It's a shame, really.

There were 6 of us there! The restaurant is right on the street, very loud, and there was a smell of gasoline! Service was hectic and unfriendly. Seat cushions were just thrown down and everyone was encouraged to take one! The menus were placed on the table, saying everyone could take one, an absolute no-go in the hospitality industry! The staff was unfriendly and inattentive. The price/performance ratio was too expensive, small portions, and the taste was at the bottom of the range! The food was small, the gyros were completely dry and inedible, the fries were an absolute disaster, dry and hard! The salad was very small and lacking in variety! The wine from Patros was too acidic. Appetizers were small and expensive. The food came in stages, a no-go! Criticism was not accepted, a very unfriendly response! Unfortunately, we didn't receive a bill; we were billed at the table. A feel-good restaurant? We felt very uncomfortable there! In conclusion, there are enough Greek restaurants in Bad Salzuflen. We agree with many other reviews and will never set foot in this restaurant again!

I've never been treated as badly as I was here in a restaurant. The gyros were partially burnt and very dry, and they came with a small dollop of tzatziki. When asked if they enjoyed it, I replied, "It tasted good, but the gyros was very dry and burnt." The snarky reply to that was, "It can't have been bad, they ate almost everything." It would have been enough for me: Sorry, I'll pass it on. It's a shame that some restaurants don't seem to care about satisfying their guests.

The absolutely perfect restaurant: super-friendly service, very, very tasty food, reasonable prices and a typical Greek atmosphere. Efcharisto poli. Like last year, we received a warm welcome. Our friends loved the staff, the cheerful atmosphere and the delicious food. Grill plate, gyro plate and my beloved moussaka - perfect. Thanks to the great team. We'll be back in the fall

We were in Bad Salzuflen for our grandma's 90th birthday and had reserved a table for 8 people not far from our accommodation. The reception at Hellas was friendly and we were given the menus quickly. First an ouzo for all of us, the dark König Ludwig beer...simply delicious and drinkable. For dinner we ordered suflaki (delicious), lamb and 3 people had the gyros with fries. We hadn't eaten the gyro seasoned like that (it tasted like vegetable broth) and unfortunately we didn't like it either. The onions had a slight soapy taste, we told the waitress both and that was all we heard from her, I'll tell you. Not more! I can't really understand the reviews here. Or we were just unlucky. Too bad. We were already looking forward to Greek and then this. We would have liked to stay, but since the food wasn't up to par, we paid and left. The atmosphere is rather simple and the seating at the table was a bit cramped.

Nobel Greek with delicious food.

We reserved a table by phone a week ago. Today we traveled from Bielefeld to stop there after the Christmas market. Unfortunately we couldn't be found in the reservation list. She came back with the list and showed me that we had probably been entered on Sunday by mistake. We were sent away with an apology. Therefore unfortunately only one star! :-(

Even though it was 30 minutes before closing time and the grill in the kitchen was already off, we were still served. We were only able to choose from a limited selection of dishes, but it was still tasty and filling. Staff is very nice. Highly recommended!

Hellas - a place where you will never be disappointed. The service is great, the girls are all super nice and very accommodating. The food is fantastic every time! My personal favorite is the Tigania pan, an absolute delight. :) With all the warmth and sympathy, especially from the boss, we always feel very welcome and comfortable! So if you want to spend a really cozy evening with excellent food, Hellas is definitely the right place for you.

We are always in Bad Salzuflen, always staying at the MARITIM Hotel and then we eat, always at the Hellas Restaurant. Great food, especially something special like pepperoni in Saganaki! We have never eaten anything like this anywhere. Or something meatless, a tasty meze.

Very courteous service staff and the food was delicious. We decided on a gyros plate and were very satisfied... So if you want to do something good for your loved ones... take them out to eat here 🍽️

A great ambience, you can hardly feel more comfortable. The food is excellent, I've never experienced such good quality from a 'Greek'! Great seasoning, everything super fresh and very tender meat. The staff were very helpful and friendly, even though the restaurant was fully booked. Very good value for money. A path that is worth it, in a class of its own! Highly recommended!

A very nice Greek restaurant in town. Around the corner from the market square. The staff is very warm and accommodating and is not impressed by special requests. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the food was great. We had a starter, gyros for the small hunger and gyros for the big hunger. It tasted wonderful and we had a lovely evening there. Super cozy and quiet restaurant. The interior is very clean and furnished with attention to detail. There is also a cozy outdoor area with sun protection. The food was very good. The portions were very large. However, smaller portions could have been selected on the back pages. We were more than satisfied with the service, friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We would eat here again.

I ate a homemade moussaka that was very dry. It was advertised as having a house-made bechamel sauce, but unfortunately it wasn't available. After we paid and checked the bill again, we realized that we had been charged one beer too much. When we complained about this, the €4.50 was left on the table without any apology or further comment.

It's been a long time since I've had such a good gyro. Unfortunately, I arrived in Bad Salzuflen very late and just got something to eat. Great hospitality with ouzo on the house for the waiting time. Juicy gyros, pleasant portions and great staff. Feel free to see for yourself. So I'd love to come back :)

Unfortunately the staff is not open to criticism! The staff was really nice on the phone when we made the reservation and also when we arrived. Unfortunately, my girlfriend and I didn't like our meal "Groin Baked Gyros", it just tasted like gyros with cheese, fat and salt. We thought they forgot the Metaxa sauce. Unfortunately, no one came back to the table to ask whether everything was okay or not... After a long wait, I got up with my plate and asked politely whether the sauce had been forgotten. Unfortunately, I was immediately told that the Metaxa sauce is light and is definitely in my food. I just replied "Sorry for asking!" From that point on, no one came to our table anymore... When it came to clearing the table, they only looked at our companion, my girlfriend and I were ignored. Never again!

We always feel very comfortable there - whether with friends for a great evening - or for dinner with the children. The food is always great - as is the service. Thank you and see you soon!

We discovered Hellas by chance on our walk. Inconspicuous from the outside, we were surprised by the size and ambience from the inside. We received a friendly welcome and were greeted with an “ouzo”. A well laid out menu, we were offered to make a plate for two out of two dishes. First there was a salad, everything very fresh with a delicious dressing. The platter with gyros and skewers was very good, the tzatziki was a burner in terms of taste, we immediately ordered another portion 🤩🤤 the service was quick and very friendly, and at the end there was an ouzo. We felt very comfortable, great value for money 👍🏾 We are happy to recommend Hellas, thank you for the lovely stay 💖🫶🏽

Nice restaurant, service was quite quick and friendly. The food tasted very good. Points deducted, however, price/performance. Portions were small for the price. With a grilled plate of rice (1-2 tablespoons of white rice with a dollop of tomato sauce), the side dish seemed very clear. The fries on the grill plate are also very clear so it would be interpreted as a children's portion. We checked again to see if we had received a senior plate. That wasn't the case. A companion ordered beef fillet with a side salad. 2 small fillets, not even 100 grams together, a bit of salad, otherwise no side dish 18.€ oops. We then shared our food so that you don't have to pay more for these prices and quantities. Please think about the size of the portions. It works elsewhere too. And your taste is top notch. PS.. What's the appeal of the grill plate for 2 people? Gain weight? Same price as 2 individual plates. Maybe there will be even less on this record??

Unser Besuch im Restaurant Hellas war einfach zauberhaft! Von dem Moment an, als wir die Tür betraten, fühlten wir uns wie in Griechenland. Die herzliche Begrüßung und die freundliche Atmosphäre machten uns sofort wohl. Besonders beeindruckt waren wir von der Kinderfreundlichkeit des Restaurants. Die spezielle Kinderkarte mit köstlichen Gerichten und Malstiften war ein Hit bei unseren Kleinen. Und der KinderOuzo für jedes Kind war ein süßer Bonus, der sie strahlen ließ! Aber nicht nur die Kinder wurden verwöhnt - auch unsere Gerichte waren ein echter Genuss. Der Grillteller war perfekt gegrillt und unglaublich schmackhaft. Der knackige frische Beilagensalat vorab war eine erfrischende Ergänzung zu den köstlichen Hauptgerichten. Und als krönender Abschluss bekamen wir nochmal einen kühlen Ouzo, während die Kinder sich über ihren KinderOuzo und eine süße Überraschung freuten. Wir waren rundum begeistert von unserem Besuch im Hellas und können es kaum erwarten, wiederzukommen! Ein herzliches Dankeschön an das gesamte Team für ein unvergessliches kulinarisches Erlebnis.........

Our visit to the Hellas Restaurant was simply magical! From the moment we walked in the door we felt like we were in Greece. The warm welcome and friendly atmosphere immediately made us feel at home. We were particularly impressed by how child-friendly the restaurant was. The special children's menu with delicious dishes and crayons was a hit with our little ones. And the KinderOuzo for each child was a sweet bonus that made them smile! But it wasn't just the children who were spoiled - our dishes were also a real treat. The grill plate was perfectly grilled and incredibly tasty. The crisp, fresh side salad was a refreshing addition to the delicious main courses. And to top it all off, we got another cool ouzo while the children were happy about their KinderOuzo and a sweet surprise. We absolutely loved our visit to Hellas and can't wait to come back! A big thank you to the entire team for an unforgettable culinary experience......

The reception and ambience was really nice! However, our meal “Gyros gratinated with mild Metaxa” was basically a lot of cheese gratinated with gyros without any sauce…. When we mentioned that the Metaxa sauce was missing, we were only told that it was light (“our sauce is light!”). When the table was cleared, only our companions looked at whether it was tasty. No lady cared that our plates weren't even half eaten. No questions were asked, nothing was packed and after 20 minutes we had to go to the bar and mention again that we wanted to pay. Too bad & thanks for nothing.

We went to Hellas to take advantage of the lunch menu. The seating was too narrow. Unfortunately, the food, gyro fries, was not convincing.

Came in spontaneously and got a spot spontaneously. Greetings to the kitchen and to the service. The best Greek food west of the Mississippi so far. Only recommended.

What can you say? Super delicious food! The ladies are not only really nice, but also extremely fast. Ambiance is a matter of taste, we think it's nice......but for everyone else it's clean.... So go and enjoy it.

Das Servicepersonal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend! Wir hatten Bifteki gefüllt mit Weißkäse und überbackenes Gyros mit Metaxasoße. Für mich war der Bifteki augenscheinlich und geschmacklich ein Convenience-Produkt. Nebensächlich, der Reis, trocken und ein wenig Soße darauf. Das überbackene Gyros: das Fleisch war auch nicht der Hit, die Soße sah aus wie eine Hollandaise. Eine Metaxasoße ist meistens rötlich, diese leider nicht und geschmacklich.... leider auch nicht.

Sehr nette Bedienung. Essen lecker und für einen Griechen eine gute vegetarische Auswahl. Wir kommen sehr oft und gerne hier hin. Man wird herzlich empfangen und bedient.
