Modern cuisine in a historic setting – a successful combination. The regional dishes taste fresh and high-quality. Vegan options are also available, which I think is great. Highly recommended.

Great location right by a huge open area. Food was fantastic we got the cheese burger and the schnitzel. Soooo good. Paired well with the sparkling apple juice. Cool restaurant building as well. They had high chair for kids and lots of spots! Very trendy inside.

We went on a bike tour and ended up at this restaurant. Very nice atmosphere, an excellent place to relax in the evening. Unfortunately, we had to wait a very long time before we were served. It took almost 30 minutes before we could place our order. I can only say that the coffee and apple strudel were excellent; everything tasted great. I think they simply didn't have enough staff. At that moment, the two men were simply overwhelmed. They were friendly and courteous, but overworked. Second time, We went there with a coupon book. The food was good again. Unfortunately, I can't recommend the smash burger at all; the patties were overcooked and, without sauce, simply very dry and unseasoned. What I found disappointing was that they didn't offer us fries as a side dish for €5.50, but instead charged us €9.50 for a portion.

A very cozy restaurant with great attention to detail. The homemade cake and coffee were excellent. You feel welcome and want to linger. We'll definitely come back on our next visit to Lindau.

Unique experience! We came with our dog, so they gave us a separate table. They even offered water and treats first. Good beer and specialties like fried chicken and island bread – delicious! The service was friendly, attractive, and attentive.

But the rest of the staff were also incredibly friendly and in great spirits. Even when we realized we were arriving just before closing time, they were still incredibly welcoming, which is rare these days. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere is lovely and cozy. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend Heimat in Lindau! 😊

This beautiful restaurant is located right on Lindau Island. The moment you step inside, you feel instantly at ease. The decor is very stylish, warm, and designed with great attention to detail. You can immediately tell that atmosphere is a priority here. The service was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and pleasantly unobtrusive. You feel welcome and well taken care of without it feeling forced. The food was something special and truly outstanding. It wasn't a standard dish, but something quite extraordinary: it was perfectly balanced and prepared with high-quality ingredients. Even though I don't remember every single detail of the dish, I know for sure that it was absolutely delicious. Overall, this is a place where everything just comes together perfectly: the ambiance, the service, and the cuisine. If you're looking for a great meal in Lindau and want to feel completely comfortable, this is definitely a place I highly recommend.

The restaurant is unassuming from the outside, but very cozy inside. Very friendly staff, the chef introduced himself and offered recommendations—where else have you seen that? The food and wine recommendations were very good. We haven't had such a good meal in a long time. The price-performance ratio was absolutely perfect. The three of us had a wonderful evening yesterday, thank you very much.

Extremely child-friendly, responsive to requests, very cozy atmosphere, children are warmly welcomed, and toy boxes are available. It was really great that we were there on a Wednesday – it was pasta day, and guests were treated to a live cooking demonstration. The large flames of the fire were, of course, spectacular for the children.

There were nine of us and we were able to sit in a private room as a group. Everyone's food was delicious, and the service was really great and friendly. We weren't thrown out and were able to spend a wonderful, relaxing evening. 😊 I would come back on my next visit.

The restaurant's interior is very beautiful, lovingly and stylishly decorated. Unfortunately, the exterior is a completely different story: careless, worn, standard restaurant furniture, no decorations on the tables. Our table was right next to the table where dirty dishes had been temporarily placed, with broken pieces of wood underneath. Perhaps we were just unlucky with our waiter, but he was exceedingly rude and ignorant from the very beginning. When we asked if the unoccupied tables at the back could be opened due to the high demand, we received a curt no. There was no eye contact when our orders were taken, no smile, no please/thank you. When a neighboring table asked for the menu, ours was swept off the table and handed over without any begging or apology, even though we still needed it. Our dog was not offered water, even though there was a dog bowl on the "side table" right next to us. However, we were satisfied with the food; it was one of the few restaurants on the island that offered several vegan and vegetarian dishes, which were also fresh and attractively presented.

We've been there several times, most recently with the Schlemmerblock restaurant. Lovely ambiance inside and outside, delicious food, a great selection of drinks, and always friendly and efficient servers. Prices are typical for Lindau.

A true gem in Lindau's old town! Each room is individually designed and decorated with great attention to detail. You immediately feel at home and discover something new with every visit. The dishes are creatively selected, beautifully presented, and taste outstanding. The desserts, in particular, are sophisticated, varied, and absolutely delicious. The drinks selection also perfectly complements the dishes and leaves nothing to be desired. The staff was consistently friendly and attentive. You can tell that the work here is done with passion. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable visit that is a must-experience in Lindau!

It was a wonderful evening with good food. We had two chicken burgers with homemade fries and a side salad and can highly recommend it. The service was very friendly, but understaffed that day. Anyone who stops here will not be disappointed. We'll be happy to come back.

I highly recommend visiting Heimat Lindau, especially on the nights Ramiz is cooking. The three different kinds of spetzl were incredible. Ramiz is extremely personable, interesting, and focused on providing the best experience. There are great vegan and vegetarian options. This was our favorite meals in Germany.

Today, my family and I spontaneously stopped by Heimat Lindau. At first, I was a bit skeptical because the service seemed a bit chaotic, but everything we ordered was delicious, fresh, and very filling, with reasonable value for money. We'd gladly go back :))

Friendly, generous dishes, a bit pricey for Italian standards, but good. The QR code to translate the menu into Italian is very interesting.

Lunch – Excellent! A simple Wiener schnitzel with potato salad. It was delicious and prepared with love. The waiter was incredibly friendly and relaxed, with a bit of a home-style touch. The prices were also reasonable.

Very long wait times for a small ice cream cone. For €8.90, the portion you get is truly outrageous. So, for the price, the portion, and the wait time, I'm not recommending it.

I realize that in a town like Lindau, food is more expensive, but for a very occasional falafel burger where the patty is a joke, the bun is far too hard and large, and otherwise completely tasteless and without any love, €16 is a disgrace! No side dish! The staff were very friendly and nice, but the waiting times were far too long. This could have been explained by the good, tasty food, both pleasing to the eye and pleasing to the stomach, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case either.

It took forever for someone to come and order and pay. The food was okay, but it could be better.

I opted for a zander bowl with breaded pieces of zander. Unfortunately, it felt like the zander had been deep-fried for the third time. Unfortunately, the taste confirmed this. I won't be coming back...

Today we wanted to enjoy a coffee with apple strudel and Kaiserschmarren. The waiter came relatively quickly and with the menu, and the drinks we ordered were also relatively good. Up until then, I'd give it 5 stars. But now the Kaiserschmarren and apple strudel we ordered with our coffee never arrived. We left after 45 minutes. There was no apology. It's really sad that the waiter ignored us. The chef had time to be in the restaurant, but not to cook!

I've rarely seen a burger thrown together so carelessly. Every ingredient was actually present once... including the sliced cheese... all in all... dry and not recommended. Oh, the restrooms are best avoided... dirty, paper on the floor... they haven't been checked, let alone cleaned, in a while.

Unfortunately, the service wasn't interested in making money! Hence only 1 star!

Delicious with fair prices and local products! We had zander crisps and a cheeseburger, both delicious! We finished with freshly baked chocolate cakes with strawberry jam (photo). Extremely delicious! Plus, the service was fast and professional. The restaurant is child-friendly and larger than you'd think from the outside. The kitchen collaborates with all kinds of local producers. Highly recommended!

Eaten Zander fillet breaded and warm in a bowl with cold, cooked wheat grains with various finely chopped vegetables. Added a dressing that was mildly spiced with a lemon, so I could add a little acid myself. My husband got Wienerschnitzel with potato salad and was very satisfied.

A wide selection and a lot of attention to appearance. The taste is rather average and the portions are quite expensive. If as much love and care were put into the cooking as into the marketing, this could truly become a great restaurant.

The bad habit of not serving 0,5 beer has spread to Germany. When ordering 0,5 liter beer I want 0,5 not 0,41 l. Much as you would expect 1 liter milk to contain exactly that

On the last Friday in June, I returned home for lunch with 31 other day-trippers from the Rapperswil-Jona Senior Citizens' Club. The pre-ordered food was served promptly. We enjoyed an excellent and reasonably priced meal in this lovely restaurant. The service was competent and friendly, and the payment process was smooth and quick. It was a pleasant surprise that I can recommend. Lindau by boat is always worth a visit.

We have been here many times and it is a wonderful place. We have concluded that this restaurant has the best sweet potato fries we’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

Heimat was our stopover on a bike tour. The terrace on the market square is nice. The food was very good, and we didn't have to wait long. Unfortunately, the cellar only came to our table very rarely. Before we continued on our way, the staff kindly filled our water bottles.

Nice location, great selection of different food. The “Pizza” vas nice, the Caesar Salad (Salat Heimat) tasted also good, however it was full of sand and even a small stone. So I returned it. I think this can happen, I did not have to pay for it.

If you like potato salad from a bucket, this is the place for you. The tartar sauce from a jar could also be spiced up a bit. Too bad. 😞 I had the zander crisps. I won't be a repeat offender.
