Heimat Lindau in Lindau (Bodensee)

Today, my family and I spontaneously stopped by Heimat Lindau. At first, I was a bit skeptical because the service seemed a bit chaotic, but everything we ordered was delicious, fresh, and very filling, with reasonable value for money. We'd gladly go back :))

Friendly, generous dishes, a bit pricey for Italian standards, but good. The QR code to translate the menu into Italian is very interesting.

Lunch – Excellent! A simple Wiener schnitzel with potato salad. It was delicious and prepared with love. The waiter was incredibly friendly and relaxed, with a bit of a home-style touch. The prices were also reasonable.

Very long wait times for a small ice cream cone. For €8.90, the portion you get is truly outrageous. So, for the price, the portion, and the wait time, I'm not recommending it.

A very nice restaurant with a great atmosphere. I realize that in a town like Lindau, food is more expensive, but for a very occasional falafel burger where the patty is a joke, the bun is far too hard and large, and otherwise completely tasteless and without any love, €16 is a disgrace! No side dish! The staff were very friendly and nice, but the waiting times were far too long. This could have been explained by the good, tasty food, both pleasing to the eye and pleasing to the stomach, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case either.

I was at Leibinger today, we were welcomed but the first negative was the confusing menu and then the service of the staff, it came across that the service team is unmotivated

It took forever for someone to come and order and pay. The food was okay, but it could be better.

Charging for tap water is something unbelievable

I opted for a zander bowl with breaded pieces of zander. Unfortunately, it felt like the zander had been deep-fried for the third time. Unfortunately, the taste confirmed this. I won't be coming back...

Today we wanted to enjoy a coffee with apple strudel and Kaiserschmarren. The waiter came relatively quickly and with the menu, and the drinks we ordered were also relatively good. Up until then, I'd give it 5 stars. But now the Kaiserschmarren and apple strudel we ordered with our coffee never arrived. We left after 45 minutes. There was no apology. It's really sad that the waiter ignored us. The chef had time to be in the restaurant, but not to cook!

I've rarely seen a burger thrown together so carelessly. Every ingredient was actually present once... including the sliced cheese... all in all... dry and not recommended. Oh, the restrooms are best avoided... dirty, paper on the floor... they haven't been checked, let alone cleaned, in a while.

Very tasty breakfast, Sat-Sun 9-11, reservation recommended, very good service, thumbs up.

Unfortunately, the service wasn't interested in making money! Hence only 1 star!

Delicious with fair prices and local products! We had zander crisps and a cheeseburger, both delicious! We finished with freshly baked chocolate cakes with strawberry jam (photo). Extremely delicious! Plus, the service was fast and professional. The restaurant is child-friendly and larger than you'd think from the outside. The kitchen collaborates with all kinds of local producers. Highly recommended!

We had the salmon and Buddha bowls, along with beer and a shandy. We came without a reservation, and the server went out of his way to accommodate us. The bowls were delicious and the service was good. The decor is modern and cozy. We really enjoyed it.

Eaten Zander fillet breaded and warm in a bowl with cold, cooked wheat grains with various finely chopped vegetables. Added a dressing that was mildly spiced with a lemon, so I could add a little acid myself. My husband got Wienerschnitzel with potato salad and was very satisfied.

A wide selection and a lot of attention to appearance. The taste is rather average and the portions are quite expensive. If as much love and care were put into the cooking as into the marketing, this could truly become a great restaurant.

The bad habit of not serving 0,5 beer has spread to Germany. When ordering 0,5 liter beer I want 0,5 not 0,41 l. Much as you would expect 1 liter milk to contain exactly that

Great restaurant with a great ambiance and good service. The best Black Forest cake I've ever eaten, as they use a kind of cherry compote instead of a disgusting jam.

Very good food and drinks served in a friendly manner

On the last Friday in June, I returned home for lunch with 31 other day-trippers from the Rapperswil-Jona Senior Citizens' Club. The pre-ordered food was served promptly. We enjoyed an excellent and reasonably priced meal in this lovely restaurant. The service was competent and friendly, and the payment process was smooth and quick. It was a pleasant surprise that I can recommend. Lindau by boat is always worth a visit.

We have been here many times and it is a wonderful place. We have concluded that this restaurant has the best sweet potato fries we’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

Heimat was our stopover on a bike tour. The terrace on the market square is nice. The food was very good, and we didn't have to wait long. Unfortunately, the cellar only came to our table very rarely. Before we continued on our way, the staff kindly filled our water bottles.

Yesterday, three of us and two babies were there and we were completely satisfied. The service was very friendly and the food was reasonably priced and delicious. We'll be happy to return!

Nice location, great selection of different food. The “Pizza” vas nice, the Caesar Salad (Salat Heimat) tasted also good, however it was full of sand and even a small stone. So I returned it. I think this can happen, I did not have to pay for it.

A friendly, attentive host. A small but fine menu, very tasty food. Plenty of seating outside on the market square. The chairs outside could be a bit more comfortable. Otherwise, everything was really excellent.

We had a very nice and friendly server, and the ambiance was lovely, but the portion of our food was so tiny that we left hungry. That's a shame! So, it wasn't good value for money. However, the food tasted good.

Lunch in a wonderful atmosphere. We entered the restaurant and were greeted warmly. Our dog was given water and a few treats without being asked. We ordered the beef roulade with spaetzle. The drinks arrived very quickly, and shortly afterward, we were served the absolutely delicious meal. For dessert, there was cake and coffee/tea. Highly recommended if you're visiting Lindau.

The "Heimat Lindau" has a beautiful mix of modern (entrance area) and cozy, rustic rooms (back rooms). Everything is well-maintained and invites you to linger. The food was fresh, very tasty, and arrived really quickly. I was particularly impressed by the staff: Even though it was really busy, the service was consistently friendly, attentive, and helpful. You don't experience that everywhere. The location, right at the entrance to the old town, is ideal – anyone visiting Lindau can hardly miss this place. I would go back anytime.

We spontaneously stopped by for dinner at your place at the beginning of March... table right by the window with a couch... chapeau 👌😁 We had a bowl with burrata💙 and island bread... UNFORTUNATELY AWESOME. Service staff very friendly. We felt well looked after. The atmosphere in the shop is truly eye-catching. The restaurant seems small at first glance, but it's not. Great concept. Keep it up. We'll be back. Best gastronomic wishes to you.

A very nice restaurant with great food like burgers, salads, pasta... and equally delicious breakfast options. The service is excellent... friendly and fast.

Superb location. But... less than 10 minutes before ordering a beer. And even then, we had to raise our hand and flag down the waiter, who walked past us twice, ignoring us. Then another 5 minutes before being served. The service is deplorable. We also wanted lunch, so we went elsewhere. And to be honest, right across the street, where we received a superb welcome.

The Viennese fried chicken with potato salad tasted very good. However, at €18.90, the portion is poor value for money. The meat is limited to 1/4 chicken.

The menu offers a lot of choice, including many vegetarian and vegan options - I couldn't decide what to get. The atmosphere inside is totally pleasant and the waiters are very friendly. Very nicely located in the center of Lindau Island. Very friendly and courteous staff. The food is of very good quality. We really liked the atmosphere. Definitely recommended from our side.

Really great tagliatelle made from a parmesan wheel with walnuts and attentive service. The espresso afterwards (made from beans from the Hensler roastery next door) was a crowning finale.

Very inviting at first. Cozy atmosphere. The staff is nice and attentive. And you don't have to wait long until the drinks arrive. We just wanted something to drink, so I can't say anything about the food. However, 0.80 ct each. I think plant milk and caffeine-free are sporty! For me, a reason to find another cute café.

We were completely satisfied. The food was very tasty and filling. We had a vegan bowl, the island bread salami, the burratta and the chocolate cake. A nice restaurant that lives up to its name in terms of ambience. The service was excellent, always a smile on your face and a cool saying on your lips. Food was very tasty and the atmosphere is very nice. I also think the regional products are great. But the boss puts on a bit too much show and the service is neglected. - Empty drink bottle was cleared away during the meal, but no reorder was asked. - Starter arrived at a different time even though both were cold dishes. - For my companion, the fries with the meat came much later, by which time the meat had almost been eaten or would have been cold. - the salad for the starter wasn't really dressed.

Unfortunately, the delicious breakfast that is supposed to be served until 11:30 a.m. is either no longer available shortly after 11 a.m. or is no longer served. This has happened to us four times on Saturdays and we didn't get one. This is very annoying. Maybe that can be changed.

We were there for lunch today and had a salad with Mediterranean vegetables, an island bread with mushrooms and sweet potato fries. Very large portions, everything was very fresh and we really enjoyed it. We didn't manage to eat everything. The service was also very good and friendly. We felt completely comfortable. We'd love to come back.

Very tasty breakfast. The prices are completely humane. You come out of the store very full with around 15-20 per person. Ambience is great!

Defective parking meter that did not accept cash, I could not pay digitally either... I did get a fine! City refuses to cancel fine, because apparently I should have known (as a tourist) that I should have installed an app and paid via the app... VERY unpleasant experience. Lindau was a bit deserted and is no longer the beautiful place it was 20 years ago. Most houses and streets are less well maintained, which means that the beautiful Lindau of the past seems to be in decline.

The dessert, Kaiserschmarrn, was not a ready-made product, it was very good. The ambience, the entire restaurant invites you to linger and is very comfortable to sit.
