Heidestübchen in Goch

I've known it since I was a child and still enjoy going there, now with my own children. Food was always good, service was quick and friendly, there was free parking and you could eat inside or outside. We'll be happy to drive the 160 km to you, for me personally also out of "nostalgia" ☺️

The Heidestübchen is an absolute must! Large portions, you are served quickly, clean, familiar and simply delicious. :-) The ambience is not the most modern, but it has its own charm and makes it something special. Simply delicious. You should just make sure that you always reserve a table and pre-order food to take away, otherwise there may be longer waiting times - especially at peak times.

We went on a schnitzel tour through Germany and came to the conclusion that the schnitzels from Heidestübchen are undisputedly the best schnitzels! The service and the option to pre-order online are an additional highlight. I'm glad to live nearby!

Was just there, ordered Jägerschnitzel and Schachlik, a culinary delight, very friendly service. I would like to give 6 stars if I could, I would love to come back (from Sonsbeck), it's worth the trip.

To be honest, I don't really understand the hype. The food was okay - no worse and no better. Service normal and the so-called 'ambience': My God: We're talking about an enlarged snack bar here. It was okay for that - no worse and no better. I can now say I was there. I won't keep it in mind as a highlight.

We have been loyal customers for several years. The food is always delicious and fresh. The portions are large and the prices are more than fair. At peak times it can take a little longer, but that is by no means a criticism - quite the opposite. We are happy for you that you are so busy and will come back often or pick up something. :)

Here the bear dances! The food is great, the portions are more than enough and the selection is large. However, the quality does not suffer due to the influx of guests. If you would like to pick up your food, it is best to pre-order online. Otherwise, due to the high frequency of guests ordering directly from the Frittenschmiede, it could take a long time. I can only recommend the Heidestübchen.

Despite the large number of people, fast and good service. We were served at the table pretty much at the same time. Food was good and plentiful.

A beautiful schnitzel stall where you can eat very well

The Heidestübchen was recommended to us by friends. Unfortunately our expectations were not met. The atmosphere is pleasant, the staff was quick and friendly, but unfortunately we didn't like the food. The fries weren't cooked, The schnitzel itself was very tasteless and I have also eaten the gypsy sauce better. It wasn't really bad but I can't understand the hype surrounding this chip shop... Tastes are different.

Food was OK, service was poor. We waited half an hour for the drinks while the waiter processed each table (2 people) individually. When we complained, the staff became unfriendly. The plates were carelessly arranged, the edges were dirty, the cutlery was dirty. All in all, not worth the relatively cheap price. You are not asked for another drink, you are simply ignored and left to sit in front of your empty glasses. Here you only earn a little money and work through customers; it no longer has anything to do with hospitality. That was my last visit here

In a nutshell: very good price-performance ratio. And it tasted very good too. The forest schnitzel with chanterelles would have benefited from a little less cream, but it was still good. Now we're talking about a good chip ranch with good food and not fine dining. Everything in the restaurant is geared towards the masses, otherwise the prices probably wouldn't be affordable. So if you want to eat quickly, well and cheaply, you are well advised there.

Food very inexpensive. But tasty. Nice outside area. Unfortunately, the table we ordered for our slightly larger group was not prepared when we arrived.

There is probably nowhere else in the surrounding area that there are tastier schnitzels than in the Heidestübchen. It is strongly recommended to make reservations, as the restaurant is often so full that all tables are occupied and guests without reservations wait in the aisle for a table to become available. On the one hand it's stupid, on the other hand it just shows how delicious you can eat there. As a result, you can forgive it if it takes a few minutes longer to place the order.

Me, we didn't like the schnitzels. The crust was not crispy, but rather soggy. Fries and side dishes were tasty. But hey, just try to prepare 5 large schnitzels at the same time at home. And the price was a joke. You can't make it at home. Despite the three stars, I want to try it again next time because the restaurant normally does well based on the previous reviews.

I've been eating here for 15 years and the quality is always the same. I can only recommend it, it's always very busy on weekends.

Best chip shop in the Kleve district at good prices.

Incredibly large portions and really low prices. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. Of course we didn't eat everything and the leftovers were happily given to us and well packaged. The restaurant was really packed, so it was loud. So if you're expecting a quiet, dignified atmosphere, this isn't the right place for you. But if you want good food at extremely reasonable prices, you'll get your money's worth here. It's really a shame that we live so far away. But we'll definitely be happy to come back when we're in Goch again.

Recommended! You can enjoy a delicious meal here with a fairly small budget. Friendly staff and fast service. Extensive menu and a large plate full. No unwanted vegetables, but you can order a delicious salad as a side dish. You may have to wait a while for a table, but it's worth it. Parking around the corner.

Was a quick snack after a long drive

Was in Goch for the first time. An absolutely great “snack bar” of a very high standard, there is nothing to complain about. I would like to say one of the best fast food restaurant I have ever visited. Price performance is absolutely right.

I find the food disappointing. Pale and bland snacks. Substandard portion of fries. Maybe if you sit there it will be better.

As always, good quality at a fair price. However, the service could sometimes be better - even during normal times it sometimes takes a while for orders to be processed.

Edit after this weekend: We reserved a table specifically so that we could sit comfortably and have some peace and quiet. We were guaranteed this table, that's what constitutes a reservation. We arrived on time, it was full as always, said our names, then we were told that a large number of people had just arrived and absolutely wanted this table and got it. I then asked the waitress what was the point of a reservation? The girl clearly has the wrong job if she can't assert herself against others. She then offered us the narrow window seat again......or we would have to wait a bit. Money makes the world go round. All that matters in this store is money, more people, more money. There were so many people excited that they were supposed to be sitting on the benches with six people. That's really bad. It is questionable whether that was in the spirit of the founders at the time. Very, very tasty, but you are seated at a table with 5 people by the window, which is simply too narrow. We once observed others who were also sitting in this constellation, they didn't look so happy, it was very, very narrow. Maybe plan differently. We will come back. We've reserved again, let's see, if we get squeezed like that again, we'll complain.

Everything very tasty and very very good. They can't make those salads that tasty here in the Netherlands. Neither do the chips.

I drove 70 km to have lunch here, waited 25 minutes, they served people who came after me. I told them I was waiting and they said they didn't have employees. They don't speak a universal language, they are very limited and unfriendly, the service is very bad and as such I would give 0 stars. Unfortunately, it's sad in Germany, they are proud to only speak German, but this is a limitation that especially restaurants should improve. I don't recommend it and I will share this review with the 1,200,000 followers I have on social media, where I review the places I frequently go to eat.

We often get something for dinner here. You have to wait, times when ordering an appointment online are never adhered to. Finally, the children's nuggets were so thoroughly baked that there was practically nothing left in the parade. Unfortunately inedible. EDIT February 9, 2024 Today I ordered the above-mentioned menu again for the children. After a short conversation with the service person, the 3 chicken children's menu was not charged this time, so the faux pas was resolved on my part. Thank you for accommodating us.

We spent a weekend at Centerparks Het Heijderbos and had a delicious meal here for a very reasonable price. The menu is very extensive, so plenty of choice...

Leider finde ich die Pommes in dieser Pommesbude nicht so toll. Und das ist für mich das a und o. Meistens muss man lange warten, die Preise sind meines Erachtens eher im oberen Bereich angesiedelt für ne Frittenbude. Der Laden ist trotzdem immer gut besucht und wahrscheinlich eine Goldgrube. Einmal habe ich Spareribs gegessen, die waren allerdings erste Sahne. Beim nächsten Mal noch gut. Also schlecht auf keinen Fall hier aber für eine 5 Sterne fritterie müssten die Pommes mehr meinen Geschmack treffen. 2023: Zigeunerschnitzel mit Pommes und Mayo. Das erste, was auffällt, ist der Miniklecks Mayonnaise. Unverständlich bei den Preisen. Das Schnitzel war für mich so mittelmäßig und eher labberig (an den Stellen ohne Sauce und davon gab es reichlich). Auf die Frage "hat's geschmeckt" und meiner Antwort "es ging so" kommt die fröhliche Reaktion "dann ist ja alles prima"....Gen Z 🤷‍♂️ Nachtrag 12.2023 nochmal Zigeunerschnitzel probiert. Die Sauce ist schon echt wässrig her vom Geschmack, schmeckt auch ziemlich nach Industrieprodukt. Ich weiß nicht, ob es das ist aber schmeckt für mich eben so. Also das Zigeunerschnitzel kommt nicht mehr auf meine Liste. Ist aber eine rein persönliche Präferenz. Vielen anderen scheint es deutlich besser zu schmecken als mir. Also am besten wie immer selber ein Urteil bilden.

Mir wurde das Lokal empfohlen, der erste Eindruck war gut. War stark besucht um 19 Uhr, Ich habe eine Pommes Currywurst zum mitnehmen bestellt und mich auf eine längere Wartezeit eingestellt, jedoch kam auch nach fast 40 Minuten nichts. Auf Nachfrage über den Status der Bestellung wurde festgestellt, dass diese wohl im Trubel untergegangen ist. Soweit hab ich auch Verständnis an vollen Tagen. Ich hätte natürlich auch eher nachfragen können, dachte jedoch das es aufgrund der vielen Gäste normal ist das es länger dauert. Mein Kritikpunkt an dieser Stelle ist der Umgang mit der Situation. Ich hätte mir gewünscht das man seitens des Lokals eine kleine Entschuldigung im Sinne von kleine Reduzierung des Preises oder extra pommes etc. Angeboten werden, jedoch blieb es bei einer mündlichen Entschuldigung.

Vor ca 44 Jahren war ich mit meinen Eltern das erste Mal dort, seitdem ist es für mich die beste " Pommes Bude" weit und breit. Faszinierend ist, das es immer noch genauso schmeckt wie beim ersten Mal. Ihr macht das wirklich toll und ihr seid alle super nett

Die Schnitzel sind wie früher sehr gute Qualität und die Portionen riesig. Einer sehr gute Auswahl für Jedermann ist in der Speisekarte zu finden. Der Service war äußerst nett und sehr zuvorkommend, jeder Wunsch wurde sofort erfüllt. Preis Leistung einfach Top. Ich kann hier nur eine Empfehlung aussprechen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. Es empfiehlt sich einen Tisch im Vorfeld zu reservieren, da die Gästeflut schon enorm ist. Qualität spricht sich halt rum.

Wir sind immer wieder gerne dort. Das Essen schmeckt uns sehr gut und es gibt ein sehr anständiges Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Weiter so.

Wir waren wieder mal im Heidestübchen essen ... Die Haussoße schmeckte etwas anders als man es gewohnt ist ... mag am Besitzer wechsel liegen?! Ansonsten alles gut...

Ben je in de buurt van Kleve en of omgeving dit is de beste schnitzel... kan er druk zijn vroeg gaan is een idee. In vergelijking met Wissing in Kleve word je hier nog erg leuk bedient. Ook het eten is van hoog en goed niveau. Sfeer is typisch stubschen Duits, dus okay!!!

Super freundliches Personal. Moderate Preise und richtig leckeres Essen. Terrasse überdacht. Service arbeitet zügig und stets aufmerksam. Leider nicht Barrierefrei. Hatten Menü 2 gewählt. Salatteller war im Preis inbegriffen und man konnte je nach Geschmack seine eigene Variante zusammenstellen. Mais, ei, Thunfisch als topping oben drauf. War nicht zum letzten Mal hier.

Die beste Adresse für diese Art von Speisen!! Die Karte ist sehr umfangreich, vieles ist selbst gemacht. Die Wartezeit ist oft relativ lang, aber es lohnt sich!!

Beste Schnitzel und Pommes Preis Leistung super

Wij kwamen op zondagmiddag. Helemaal vol maar gelukkig gereserveerd. Een echt Duits restaurant. Ondanks dat het zo druk was hadden we ons eten redelijk vlot. En het was erg lekker. Vooral de jägersaus was erg goed. We komen hier wel weer!

Leckeres Essen, gute Auswahl. Keine 0-8-15 Pommesbude. Ebenso große Salat Auswahl. Wir waren wir immer sehr zufrieden und kommen definitiv wieder.

Essen ist lecker aber das hatte nichts mit meinem bestellten Steak englischer art zutun. Das fleisch ist leider mehr als durch und die kinderportion war mehr als mickrig, mein 3 jähriger Sohn könnte da 3 Portionen von essen.

Leider nicht so gut😔 und somit auch nur gut gemeinte 2* für das Essen. Zu zweit haben wir das gleiche Essen bestellt. Die Schnitzel waren leider von der Parnade nicht kross gebraten/fritiert. Dennoch war das Fleisch sehr trocken. Ebenso sollten die Pommes - ausdrücklich gesagt bei der Bestellung - kross friert werden, was leider auch nicht war. Der große gemischte Salat war mit viel zuviel Mayonnaise angemacht, so daß dieser nur nach Mayonnaise schmeckte🫣 Für diese Speisen, haben wir schon wesentlich besser und günstiger in anderen Lokalitäten gegessen.

Besser Pommesbude, reichhaltiges Angebot. Pommes Mayo und 1/2 Hähnchen für ca. 10€. Freundliches Personal.

Immer noch eine solide Einrichtung für ein gutes Schnitzel mit Pommes. Da wir schon seit vielen Jahren Gast um Heidestübchen sind merken wir aber auch, dass der Service ein kleines bißchen nachgelassen hat, deshalb nur die 4 Sterne. Insgesamt gehen wir aber weiterhin gerne dorthin und können es jedem empfehlen.

Immer wieder genießen wir mal - wenn wir in der Region sind - den Klassiker "Schaschlik mit Haussoße'. Die Qualität ist immer wieder hervorragend. Konsistenz des Fleisches perfekt.
