Havanna in Berlin

We returned today with my friends after some time away, and Havana has changed a lot. The DJ set in the lobby was bad, the transitions were terrible, and she always cut off the songs at the best part. It's a real shame—it used to be a good club. Not a single salsa song, maybe two bachata songs, and just poorly mixed old reggaeton.

I think that their brand mission and vision is: tax evasion 😬. 14 eur entrance on a sat (that one u can pay by card, from 30 eur up), the garderobe - minimum 2 eur per ITEM (had a jacket and a vest and they wanted 4 eur 😂). The drinks are ridiculously priced for the poor quality they offer (they show normal bottles and then make up a really poor and watered down “rum cola” with an afterthought of “rum”.brand) They refuse to give you water (which by now I wonder if it is even legal) and - goes without saying - all “cash only”. The music is mixed dependent on the floor u r on - they play around 40% of the length of a song and then they change it - reminded me of discos in some remote village in 1990’s. With regard to the other mentions - that men approach you and it can be uncomfortable - I can see that being true - I personally was able to shoo them away without drama. So yeah…never again for me. Ah and another lol - they blast the rooms with “disco” smoke and then they force you to vape in a small room where they also smoke cigarettes.

I was at Havanna for the salsa party on Wednesday for the first time in ages, and I have to say that before the renovations, the atmosphere was still there. Now it's totally oppressive and uncomfortable, with no seating and no safe places to put drinks. This place has absolutely lost its charm due to the renovations, and I won't be going back.

We were harassed by security personnel. It's disappointing to experience such a lack of respect from the staff. Guests' privacy is not respected here.

Don't go to this club, they let everyone in, Arabs and other nationalities always harass the girls. If there are 100 men, there are 10 girls. Calm down, it's a waste of your money, the inside is awful.

DO NOT GO THERE! I went there on the night of August 30th. The security was horrible, as we left he shouted sexual things after my friend and me. The men watch you in the corner as you dance, they get close and make you uncomfortable, the drinks are made super strong for women. The music wasn’t good. Unfortunately, I have to say that this club is insanely bad. Girls, stay away from here, I only mean well. No joke, nothing against the location, it's nice, but the men are insanely bad. It was very similar when I was here for the first time four years ago, and now I'm here for the second time. The guys, no joke, three-quarters, were simply intrusive. No one (hardly anyone) took no for an answer. There were four of us girls. Never experienced anything like this before, and I've been going to clubs regularly for seven years. Guys at the door: it would be better and nicer for everyone if you paid more attention to which men you let in and, above all, maybe questioned the quota. Far more than half the people were men... In the end, a point goes to the bouncers who noticed how upset we were about the last man who shouted at us out of nowhere (because he didn't want to take no for an answer, and unfortunately there were a lot of them...). But a big point goes to the "awareness guy" (security guy) who gave the groper a high five after we told him that we felt very uncomfortable because the groper then danced around us with his middle finger raised for 10 minutes after we said no 🤣😭... Catastrophe the people the music incredibly bad

Hello, unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant experience with the security team at this club this evening. The security personnel's behavior was completely disrespectful and rude, as if they didn't care at all about respecting the guests. In a place where people are supposed to have fun and have a good time, staff are expected to treat guests respectfully and professionally, not with abusive tones and inappropriate behavior. I hope the complex's management will seriously reconsider the selection and training of its security personnel, because this kind of behavior directly damages the club's image and definitely reduces guests' willingness to return.

Terrible night out as very empty, even though it was a Friday! Prices aren't bad but it is still not a good experience. Can't talk outside as bouncers tell you to be quiet. Entry is €10

This club should be exclusively for men. The percentage of men I saw there is much higher than that of women, and the worst part is the harassment the few women who go there experience... I don't recommend women going there at all, whether alone or in groups of two or three. It's a shame because the place is really cool; it has two rooms (one with Latin music and the other with hip-hop, R&B, and dancehall), but the atmosphere is quite worrying. Plus, the next day I had a really bad hangover despite having only had a non-alcoholic mojito and a beer; that's never happened to me before. Anyway, they have a lot to improve there...

I'm a regular at this club and have always been very satisfied – good vibe, nice people, and cool music. Unfortunately, Friday night (yesterday) was a real disappointment. The DJ played the same song four times (!) and then suddenly started playing Bollywood tracks that didn't fit the usual style at all. We usually stay until at least 7 a.m., but this time we were out by 4 a.m. – the music was that bad. It's a shame, because otherwise the club is really great. Hopefully, that was just a slip-up, and next time, a DJ with more of a feel for the crowd will be on.

What a cool club! 🎶🕺 I was there alone and spontaneously took the beginners' class – and what can I say: I met people really quickly, we had a really nice evening, and went back the next day! That's how it should be! The bar is well-stocked, the drinks are delicious, and best of all: I never had to wait long – the service was fast, friendly, and attentive. You just feel at home. A huge thank you for this amazing experience – I'll definitely be back! 😊

I was there with a friend. The club was almost exclusively men, and we felt like we were on display. Throughout the night, we were often approached or even harassed. The music wasn't good; every dance floor was playing the same old crap. We had to wait 15 minutes for two shots, even though the bar wasn't particularly crowded. The ventilation on the lower dance floors was apparently broken, and after five minutes it was so hot that we basically had to get out.

The Bachata classes were very good. Highly recommended! Unfortunately, it's noticeable that 99% of men over 40 are there to harass women. This makes the atmosphere very uncomfortable. The drinks were very expensive and the music was average.

Bouncer's are racist. They easily allow turkish and other muslim who speak same language . They need to understand one thing that this place is for people's.

A night I would like to forget - 1 star is still too much So where should I start? Maybe at the door - the bouncers were as friendly as a dentist without anesthesia. After queuing for 30 minutes in the drizzle, we were looked at as if we were at “Germany’s Next Top Security Risk”. Inside: The music was a wild mix of Spotify playlists from 2012 and the bass of a broken vacuum cleaner. The DJ? Probably had more fun on his cell phone than on his desk. The dance floor was either empty or crowded, depending on how many people were spilling their drinks from the wildly overpriced selection. Speaking of drinks: 12 euros for a “mojito” that tasted like tap water with toothpaste. Service? More of a search game. If you wanted a drink, you needed patience, luck and maybe a flare gun. Light show? An epileptic nightmare. And the ventilation was probably set to “Sauna Deluxe” – I rarely sweat so much without even dancing. Conclusion: If you like to get rid of money, insult your taste in music and go home with bad vibes - then this store is for you.

I was skeptical about the place because of the bad reviews I had read. Went last night anyway. I did not see any creepy guys nor did I even see a bouncer. Nevertheless, as someone who dances Cuban salsa, this was still a disappointing experience. The good: • They have a guarded cloak room where you get a number corresponding to your hanger. It is free (after paying the €7 entry). • The lady at the bar was kind enough to spare me a glass of water after they closed. The bad: • Music too loud to ask for names or have any sort of conversation. • The salsa DJ thinks salsa should be slow and romantic. Terrible taste. • The club is advertised as having multiple floors for multiple genres. Yet, somewhere past 22:00, the (salsa) DJ started playing long bachata songs almost exclusively. Floor got much emptier thanks to this decision. • Most of the followers were 35+ and they were subpar compared to other places I've been to. • One of the followers (yes, followers, you read that correctly!) tried to intimidate me 10 minutes after we danced because "When you come to Havanna, you adapt to the follower's style!", which in her case was "salsa but not from a school" (translation: refuses to follow properly). She had supposedly "come to Havanna for 20 years", which makes me wonder what she's been doing all that time (she could not even follow a sombrero), so I guess you can expect to encounter this person in your future visits. • The whole thing closed before 23:30. • Toilet lady begging for money... It's 2025, guys. Of course, maybe this night was an exception. (I doubt it.)

It's very nice and pleasant. 🥰 The customer service is nice and friendly, which is also important. Security at the Havana Klub Berlin is also okay. I've been to various cities in Germany now, and most of them are not interesting and don't have this nice atmosphere. To the owners of the Havana Berlin Club: It's very nice, pleasant, and cozy here. Despite having “good” music, the atmosphere is terrible—completely focused on squeezing money out of tourists and letting just anyone in. Not only that, but inside, there were tons of people smoking in the middle of the dance floor, and for some reason, many individuals of Indian origin with a very bad attitude (besides being unpleasant), yet seemingly friends with the bouncers or some organizer. Moreover, these individuals spend the night in groups trying to sweet-talk drunk girls and harass them, bothering everyone around if they don’t get what they want (some of these girls were underage, as they themselves confirmed), and security couldn’t care less. One of them even asked a very drunk or drugged girl if he could make out with her. Extremely unpleasant customer service, and of course, they make you pay in cash (with no other option). Even inside, you can’t pay for drinks at the bar with a card. If you’re in Berlin and want to go out, don’t come here. We left feeling very disappointed and extremely frustrated with the experience. Bad attitude to everyone.

Toler Club.....we've been going to Havana for abdancing for a good 15 years. Before corona I was there pretty much every Saturday...it was always fun. The current ambience is "chic" compared to the early days. The last visit was spontaneous last Saturday and was a complete success. Repeat this Friday. Mixed years... lots of gentlemen, but if you say "no" you keep your distance. Is a top address for spontaneous trips.

I went to the Salsa Bachata afterwork party on Wednesday evening. It wasn't worth it at all. Nothing was going on. Many people were already leaving at ten. Gross excess of men. Got lots of baskets. The few girls who were willing and free to dance could barely dance. And just under two hours' drive from the outskirts. I'm happy to give five star service to the man at the cloakroom, who was very friendly and hung my jacket and sweater very carefully on the hanger. Music was good, songs and volume were great

The club is fine but the service is the worst. I was at the club last night till late, after going out and getting our jackets from the wardrobe I realised that my gloves were missing. I went back inside downstairs to the wardrobe but the guy at the counter was too busy being intimate with a female guest. I tried to get in contact with him but he just kept ignoring me and laughing about my voice (I could barely speak since I had lost my voice to the cold) - at the end he just said I can’t help you and you should leave. I went upstairs trying to get help from another staff but he was too busy as well and just said that I should go downstairs again. At the end I just left the club neither with my gloves or getting any help - never coming back

I was partying with my girlfriend at your place last night. We were standing downstairs in the hip-hop area and still had our jackets in our hands because we weren't sure whether we were going to stay or not. After less than 5 minutes, a security guard came to us and said something to my friend, but she didn't understand it acoustically. Less than 3 minutes later he came to us again and shouted at us that we had to hand over our jackets immediately and was totally pissed off. We then left immediately.

Just got turned away because I still had some broccoli in my bag. They didn't want to, even though ownership is now legal in Germany. It's the same as turning away people who have cigarettes in their pockets at the door because it's a non-smoking club. It would be nice if Havana made the leap into the 21st century and, like the Union, stopped telling adults what they can legally have in their pockets (consumption goes without saying, house rules apply and that's what I'm concerned with neither).

Full of racist bouncers that don’t even speak spanish

If you want to experience racism in Berlin, this is the place for it! I went there with my boyfriend (who is Black) and some other friends. After an hour inside, the bouncers started harassing him—pushing and yelling—because they claimed he wasn’t dressed "properly." When I (white-passing) and my other friends (all white) stepped into the argument, their attitude towards him suddenly changed. As the night went on, and we were collecting our coats, one of the bouncers began pushing and threatening my boyfriend again, supposedly over the dress code. Once more, I stepped in and placed myself between them. The bouncer immediately backed off, stopped touching my boyfriend, and didn’t dare to lay a hand on me. It’s disgraceful that this venue calls itself a Latin club. Its actions are completely misaligned with Latin values. I’ll never be coming back. PD. Cuidado porque eliminan las críticas malas.

Wasn't allowed in as a dancer, you could always come in for/during training (I've been going there for 16 years). But on top of that, the saying from security “I don’t know you”…. well, I don’t know him either, what does one thing have to do with the other…. So the security wouldn't let you in after 7 p.m. and everyone who came earlier had to wait in the cold until 8 p.m. Then I'll just go dancing somewhere else, it's no longer a good place for that anyway.

This is a Latin Party for non Latinos. Salsa and bachata music that I have never heard before (no hits), old reggaeton but not the biggest old hits. Old hip hop/R&B. Creepy old men on the salsa floor looking for young girls. In general, guys go there looking for Latinas, not to dance. You can have a good time if you go with the right mood and people. Otherwise, there are far way better Latino parties in Berlin.

Warning! Violence against women under the eyes of security!! A woman was dragged up the stairs by her hair before our eyes on Saturday and punched several times in the face. Security didn't intervene, but instead told the woman to calm down while the crazy man continued to attack her without anyone holding him back. UPDATE: Regarding the following review I received a removal order via Google on bogus grounds. This feels like another attempt to filter unfavorable reviews from the platform and deserves to be called out. 10€ entry fee plus 8€ to 10€ for watery longdrinks and cocktails with supermarket spirits. There is a wardrobe service for 1€ per piece, but the several stations are quickly filled to the top. There are quite a few floors here, one of which is the typical salsa dance floor for which you should know your steps, one rather hip-hop and rnb and another with simple party pop and electronics. There might be more than those three. Toilets are in acceptable state. Overall not worth the money in my opinion.

NOT a safe space for queer people! As a masc presenting lesbian I did not feel welcomed nor safe in this environment. When I arrived, I was the only person ask for my ID and treated extremely unfriendly while he just smiled at my female presenting friends and let them in. As I went here for the salsa classes, I still went in but then had to constantly listen to the instructor complain about how he has to now talk in gender neutral language and then still constantly referred to the leaders as men despite the fact that there were three women leading. As if that’s not enough, I also have a friend who got harassed from a group of men while dancing with her girlfriend at night. So avoid as a queer person (and probably just in general)

Havana Berlin is my favorite club. Friendly staff and attentive security guards ensure every guest feels welcome and safe. The music is great and puts you in a good mood.

I've been going to the shed for 12 years. But as it turns out, a lot has changed after Corona. This used to be a place for couples dancing with classical Latino music: Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, that was the goal and purpose of this club... today Latino music only plays on a single floor. The music selection is also bad. It's like you pulled a playlist from YouTube and you're done. Repetitive. In addition, the "oriental" men cannot behave there. They stare at the women without blinking and think they can get straight to it. My wife was harassed and touched several times. Now there are mainly men from the Middle East there. (So ​​4 men come together and never bring women with them. It used to be multicultural. The bouncers only let their fellow countrymen in and avoided male Latinos. Yesterday I was late for dance class and wanted to be let in quickly. During the bag check, the Scurity woman decided to show her dominance by asking me aside to inspect my tiny bag with my wallet in it. It took her several minutes to put on her latex gloves, while everyone else was already being checked and allowed through without further ado. After waiting for several minutes without any progress, I asked you to hurry up. I was eventually accused of shoving and disrespect and was thrown out. When I asked why, it ended up being a month-long ban from the boss. Absolute ego problem with the security woman and a complete lack of understanding from the security guards. After 7 years, I have never experienced anything like this.

Terrible security. One of the guards insisted on feeling my pants so he could identify its material. There was no dresscode on the website and I was informed that I couldn't get in because of the material of my pants. Furthermore in the website said that the entry price was 13 euros and they were charging 35.

I mean what can I say about this place 😂 let’s start about the fun facts. We arrived 10min before 11 and although there was no queue in front of us and we were in front, the bouncer made us wait for literally nothing. Having waited 15min in line for nothing, we entered the club at 23:05 and they made us pay the entrance (until 11pm is free for ladies). Clearly by then we knew why they had made us wait! The crowd in this place? You will see the biggest weirdos- especially men, some of them at the age of 70 starring at young girls and being pushy about wanting to dance with you. Honestly I have never seen such a bad crowd in Berlin and I’ve been living here for 9 years. It’s a bunch of losers and shady guys, hoping to get laid off. It’s such a pity that this place became the worse place to go if you want to dance to Latin music. If you are a woman avoid it!

Totally Unsafe!! This has been by far the worst clubbing/partying experience I’ve had in the city. There were multiple attempts to pickpocket from my partner and I. Even when changing dance floors the same people or others associated with them would come over and stand around us. A lot of attempts to “accidentally bump” against us and then check the pockets. The thieves seemed to know the staff at the bar and coat hanging section (when leaving my partner noticed that the person was looking through someone else’s jacket pockets before placing the jacket away). A totally unsafe place overall when you just want a fun night out but have to constant worrying about the thieving people

You can pay entry from 30 euros with a card and at the bar from 35 euros with a card. So ridiculous in 2024...a rogue who thinks evil of it. I hope everything is taxed 😂 The atmosphere is also rather mediocre and quite empty at 2 o'clock on a Friday evening. A pity! It used to be quite fun in Havana but 5 euros for a small beer and then only payment in cash. Then someone else rips you off

I’ve never seen worst security!!!!!!!!!!! Rude!!! Why I should to leave full glass of cocktail at random table (no one watching on it) just to go for a smoking? What about safety??? (Inside smoking room was closed) And in total they was rude!!! You guys should to do something about it cause dance class was really nice, but all my emotions was killed by security😡

Racist MF!!!!!! We entered peacefully, drank and danced for 3-4 hours, and at the end when we were leaving and taking our jackets, one of the guards came out of nowhere and forcefully (held the hand tightly and dragged) tried to throw my friend out WITHOUT ANY REASON. After asking other members of the staff for the reason, they stopped us from doing anything by guarding us out of the scene, and shutting us up. I don't have any words to describe how discrimated and helpless we feel. NOTHING CAN MAKE ME GO TO THIS CLUB EVER AGAIN!!!!

If you want to go to a club where you have average people, everyone gets in, no preselection whatsoever, people who need to go to the gym (hehe), trouble walking around because it's too crowded, then you are at the right place. There is no social dancing whatsoever. If you are looking to dance bachata, do not come here. The dance floor is full of people who do not actually dance salsa or bachata.

They have a very good Bachata course! I liked it.
