The ambiance was unfortunately a bit over the top. All the furniture and the rooms were very dark. The only bright spot was the excessive number of Bavarian flags. The food was a disappointment. Everything was rather bland and disappointing. I'm a native Bavarian and had hoped to find authentic cuisine. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case at all. Not only are there at least three dishes on the menu that actually come from Austria, not Bavaria, but the prices are also shockingly high. Even for really good food, these prices are simply exorbitant. Unfortunately, the food hardly resembles Bavarian cuisine and I was very disappointed. The service was very friendly and attentive.

We visited with a small child and received incredibly courteous and friendly service. Our 16-month-old son had a blast! The food was also delicious! Highly recommended for a relaxed dining experience, even with a toddler. Thank you!

The food is very tasty, but the portions are relatively small. Considering the price, it could be a bit more generous. Some dishes lack a bit of seasoning. The sauerkraut, for example, is very bland. My wife and I just happened to be here at the inn for a quick bite to eat. My wife had bruschetta, and I had the Leberkäse (meatloaf) with a fried egg, fried potatoes, and sweet mustard. All I can say is, we thoroughly enjoyed it.

I had a delicious roast rump steak with onions and fried potatoes, and for dessert, Kaiserschmarrn (sweet pancakes). Both dishes were delicious and served in generous portions. The service was friendly and attentive. The terrace is a great place to sit in the shade under the large parasols. My dog ​​was immediately given water before I was even served, which I like. Crusty roast with fried potatoes is super delicious. Salad dressing is great. Prices ok, nice Bavarian/Austrian atmosphere. Music wasn't right, but whatever. Instead of espresso, cappuccino was brought, but one star was deducted. Even the dog was allowed to come along and was given water. Very nice and recommended

An inn in the style of its Bavarian counterparts, located not far from Herdecke train station. Friendly atmosphere, attentive service and a small menu complete the overall picture. The schnitzel served was good in quality and quantity. The freshly tapped Augustiner beer is of course excellent. An absolute asset for the region. We'd love to come back.

I tried the Herdecker Schnitzel. I got a loveless piece of meat that had been raped in the deep fryer on neutral-tasting farm fries with old dried-out lettuce from the bag without dressing. Oh yes, 4-5 mushrooms with onions dripping in oil were the “Herdecker decoration”. It’s a shame that the name of this pretty little town had to be used as an eponym. Now the answer to the question of what could be done better: It's best to close it!

Wanted to try something new. Unfortunately it wasn't for us. The prices are definitely too high for what you get. The schnitzel (veal) was fried to death. As a result, the breading also crumbled. The quantity was also very small. Nothing special and little side dish either. The menu (also visible online) is full of errors - someone needs to check it properly. I stopped counting when I made 15 mistakes - the menu is the business card of the house, there shouldn't be a single mistake in it...

We had lunch at Haus Pfingsten at lunchtime and were very satisfied. The house itself is rustic and appropriately furnished. We both had vegetarian dishes. The portions were more than sufficient and we really enjoyed it. Update September 2024: Wow!! New management, new concept: Austrian cuisine. Simply fantastic, delicious, authentic and more than enough. Dumplings, frittaten soup and a clever schnitzel. Not to mention the desserts. As a half-Austrian family, we are more than thrilled.

We were here for lunch last Sunday with about 18 people. The restaurant was rather moderately busy, for us it was “nice and quiet”. It is beautifully furnished according to the motto. We ordered various dishes, from schnitzels to knuckles to steaks. After a completely acceptable waiting time, the food began to be served. It is of course impossible for everyone to receive their food at the same time - but here the time was longer until (almost) everyone had their dish. Unfortunately, the fried potatoes tasted almost exclusively of garlic instead of potatoes. My sister-in-law and brother-in-law had ordered steaks and asked them to be cooked a little more well done than medium. Unfortunately, these were then served completely fried. When this was complained about, they responded with little understanding, but agreed to bring new steaks. I, who ordered first, had not yet received my dish. Since a lot of time had already passed and the first people had eaten, I spoke to the waitress. After a quick consultation with the kitchen, they simply said that the dish was out - wow. Of course I was asked if I wanted to order something else, but since almost everyone else was finished, I decided not to. Unfortunately, the sister-in-law and brother-in-law's newly fried steaks were almost raw. When we complained again, the service unfortunately became a little more critical of us. I thought about writing this review for a long time. Tastes differ, people make mistakes. What I lack any understanding for, however, is the final interaction with the guests at the end. For me, the "forgotten guest", my drink was billed as normal (ok, I drank it too 😉), but for the steak guests it was a different story. When the waitress at the checkout asked my sister-in-law what she had, she replied "the disappointment". Here, too, they insisted on paying the full price and were also told that you weren't allowed to talk to her like that. (...). A certain amount of humility would have been appropriate for such an unfortunate lunch. I then ate at McDonald's afterwards.

The schnitzel was basically unseasoned, was very dry and the breading was extremely hard and thick. In addition, the fried potatoes tasted sour for some inexplicable reason. The meatballs and mashed potatoes, on the other hand, were quite spicy and almost too salty. Unfortunately, the side salad on the plate didn't really look fresh anymore, the tomatoes were already dried out. All in all, there would have been a lot more.

The food more than met our expectations. The service was very friendly and quick. Unfortunately, the waiter was ambiguous in the description and explanation of the “Grüner Veltliner” flat, so that we had to pay €49 instead of €19 for the wine bill. When we clarified things with the landlady, she was very dissatisfied with our complaint and reacted quite insultedly. The landlady did not heed our advice that the drinks menu listed the wine incorrectly and that the waiter had made a mistake and left us with the impression that we were trying to cheat us out of the bill. It's a shame that this situation detracts from the good overall impression. To explain, the €49 flat wine is a supermarket product for €5.99 sold at REWE. That would be around €4 in purchase. This means we are charged a wine at a price 12x higher than retail. To put it mildly, this is not good and the advertising effect is rather modest. Addendum: The restaurant management responded to my review to our complete satisfaction and apologized for the complaint with a voucher. The misunderstanding is now over and we look forward to our next visit to the Pfingsten Restaurant with great, down-to-earth food.

Nice to get a new restaurant in Herdecke. Austrian specialities. The Wiener Schnitzel was nice and thin and tender, but the breading could have been a little fluffier and spicier. As advertised, the Cordon Bleu had a special breading, which was unfortunately a bit dry. The dessert, Kaiserschmarrn with warm cherries and cream, was great. Prices are reasonable.

We spent a very nice evening there. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The restaurant is located in an old half-timbered house, which gives it a nice ambience. In a separate hall, under a viewing window, there is a fountain from days gone by that is a beautiful eye-catcher. Overall, we will be happy to visit the house again on our next visit to Herdecke.

Wir sind durch Zufall in dieses Restaurant an einem Samstagabend eingekehrt. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und es wurde uns ein Tisch für vier Personen zugewiesen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und gut gelaunt. Die Speisekarte ist auf einem Klemmbrett 😉 alle Speisen hörten sich sehr lecker an. Unsere Bestellung ging vom Cordon bleu bis hin zum Spargelmenü. Das Essen ist sehr reichhaltig frisch und lecker. Nachtisch oder Dessert befinden sich in einer extra Karte oder im Aushang. Wir sind heute noch begeistert von dem schönen Abend und dem guten Essen. Wir werden das Restaurant auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen und auch wieder besuchen. Vielen Dank und bleibt so wie ihr seid Danke liebes Haus Pfingsten Team 😘 !!

Waren gestern Abend mit Freunden bei Haus Pfinsten essen. Sehr nettes Ambiente, tolle Weihnachtsdeko, sehr gemütlich. Essen und Service waren sehr gut. Haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Daumen hoch. Sehr nettes Familienunternehmen.

Die Räumlichkeiten sind ganz nett..aber dringend renovierungsbedürftig.Die Bedienung war sehr nett.auf den Stühlen kann kein Mensch richtig sitzen..es gab eine kleine Weihnachtskarte die leider nichts besonderes war. Vernünftige Vorspeisen findet man erst gar nicht.Wir entschieden uns für den Grillteller für 17.50 Euro....leider war der Teller sehr übersichtlich und lustlos angerichtet...kein Salatblatt oder ein Stück Orange...nichts. von der Menge her reichte es für einen Erwachsenen kaum aus.Ein Salat wurde dazu erst gar nicht gereicht...und dann für so viel Geld....geht gar nicht. Nun wundert es mich gar nicht das wir spontan an Weihnachten noch einen Platz bekamen...das war leider nichts .. wir kommen nicht wieder .

Sehr schön restauriertes Fachwerkhaus mit Liebe zum Detaille elegant eingerichtet, perfekter Service, Wünsche werden entgegenkommend akzeptiert, z.B. ein Omelett mit frischen Pfifferlingen einmal ohne Bratkartoffeln zu servieren, dazu trockenen Weißwein bestellt, einfach köstlich frisch. Ich habe keine weiteren Wünsche für einen relaxten Abend zum abschalten und genießen. Komme gerne wieder. Vielen Dank!

Ein wunderschöner Gastraum und Nette Mitarbeiter. Beim Essen gibt es aber deutlich Verbesserungspotential. Zum Beispiel hatten wir 2 Grillteller und bei beiden waren die Frikadellen und Cevapcicis extrem trocken, hart und auf einer Seite fast verbrannt. Beim anderen Fleisch der Grillteller waren lediglich die Schweinenackenspieße einwandfrei. Bei einem anderen Gericht hatten wir blasse Bratkartoffeln, die größtenteils zurück gingen, das bekommt man zu Hause deutlich besser hin. Die Salate waren was das Dressing betrifft alle recht sauer, das ist aber Geschmackssache. Was das Preisleistungsverhältnis betrifft, bekommt man bei den Mitbewerbern in der Regel für den gleichen Preis oder sogar guenstiger noch Djuwetschreis zum Grillteller. Fazit: Ein Wunderschönes Lokal und nettes Personal, das Essen leider nur mittelmäßig

Ich war heute mit meiner Familie hier, und ich muss sagen wir alle fanden das Essen hier super. Schön angerichtet, die Portionen waren für den Preis wirklich gut. Besonders empfehlen kann ich das Schnitzel nach ‚Art des hauses‘. Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall einen Blick hierher zu riskieren wenn man Herdecke besucht. Der Kellner war nett, es ist aber immernoch Luft nach oben. Bisschen mehr Aufmerksamkeit gegenüber des Besuchers hätte mir da besser gefallen.

Seit vielen Jahren gehen wir hier hin und sind immer sehr zufrieden. Sehr leckere Gerichte, top Fleisch und nettes, zuvorkommendes Personal. Auch für Familienfeiern gut geeignet. Wünsche werden gern und zuverlässig erfüllt! 100%ige Weiterempfehlung!

Imbissqualität mit Restaurant Preisen. Leider war unser Essen nicht sehr frisch. Der Salat war fast ungenießbar und jedes Gemüse kam eindeutig frisch aus dem Gefrierschrank. Beim Imbiss für 5 Euro OK, aber wir haben für 2 Leute ohne Getränke knapp 30€ bezahlt. edit: Die Rezension habe ich direkt nach dem Essen verfasst. Die Gerichte waren Cordon Bleu mit Pommes und Salat, und ein Vegetarischer Gemüseauflauf.

Wir sind einmal monatlich im Rahmen einer geschäftlichen Veranstaltung in diesem Lokal. Räumlichkeiten sind ideal, auf das Essen freuen sich immer alle Teilnehmer. Der Service ist freundlich, aufmerksam und geht auch auf individuelle Wünsche ein. Dass wir dort seit Jahren gerne einkehren spricht für sich selbst.

Ich war mit meinem Freund zu Abend dort essen! Ich hatte Spargel und einen Erdbeerbecher. Drinnen ist die Einrichtung sehr schön. Das alte ist perfekt kombiniert mit modernen Möbeln. Der Spargel war der beste den ich jemals gegessen habe! Auf den Punkt und weder holzig noch bitter. Geschmacklich könnte es nicht besser sein! Wir haben den Wirt gefragt, ob wir uns dann nach draußen setzen dürfen zum Eis essen, da es noch warm war draußen. Da fiel mir dann erst auf wie schön die Terasse ist. Wir kommen wieder!

Ich bin sehr selten im Haus Pfingsten Essen, was sehr schade ist. Ich kann auch nicht sagen, woran es liegt. Das Essen ist jedesmal klasse und die Speisekarte hat einiges zu bieten. Die Bedienung ist freundlich, das Ambiente könnte schöner sein. Wir hatten Filetsteak mit Pfifferling und sind hier sehr erfahren. Das Steak war auf den Punkt! Aber auch die anderen Gerichte sahen lecker aus. Das nächste mal probiere ich unbedingt Cevapcici! Also, gerne wieder!

Das Haus Pfingsten ist in einem wunderschönen Fachwerkhaus, direkt am Eingang zum Herdecker Stadtkern gelegen. Die Inneneinrichtung ist stilvoll und schön, vor allem das alte Brunnenloch, mitten im Restaurant, ist eine Besonderheit. Die Gaststätte verfügt über eine Terasse auf dem man im Sommer angenehm sitzen kann, auch wenn sie direkt an eine vielbefahrene Straße grenzt. Draussen wird das Aufenthaltserlebnis allerdings durch eine quasi dauerhaft nervig pipsende Fußgängerampel getrübt. Die Karte ist sehr groß und wartet mit einer vielversprechenden Anzahl internationaler Gerichte auf. Was letztlich auf den Teller landet ist leider enttäuschend. Die bestellten saisonalen Pfifferlinge mit Gnocchis kosten 18,50 Euro. Die frischen Pilze sind in einer Tütensahnesauce ertränkt und kommen mit einer Handvoll handelsüblicher Gnocchi. Das Putenschnitzel mit Pommes (12,50 Euro) ist vernünftig gebraten, jedoch klein - ebenso die Portion Pommes. Die Anrichtung der Gerichte entspricht dem der 80er Jahre des vergangenen Jahrhunderts. Stengel Petersilie neben einem Stück Melone - warum auch immer. Alles ist irgendwie auf die Teller gepackt. Der Ziegenkäse auf Zupfsalat ist eine paniertes Etwas aus dem Supermarktregal und schmeckt erschreckend gering nach Ziege. Der Service ist Print aber unfreundlich - wobei, das weiß man gar nicht so genau, denn der Gastgeber spricht eigentlich gar nicht mit seinen Gästen. Alles in allem leider keine Empfehlung. Schade, der der Laden könnte wirklich etwas hergeben.

Wir sind nur selten hier, weil die Gaststätte zu nahe an unserer Wohnung liegt, so dass wir uns zu wenig bewegen um dort hin zu kommen, aber wenn wir da sind, überzeugt die gute Küche der Frau des Hauses!

Wir haben am Silvesterabend einen Tisch reserviert. Als wir ankamen gab es nur eine „abgespeckte“ Speisekarte mit 5 Gerichten, es wurde bei der Reservierung nicht darauf hingewiesen. Die Preise der Speisen sind eher gehoben, die Portionen überschaubar. Das Restaurant ist ganz nett aber wir würden nicht nochmal dort essen

Durch die bereits geschriebenen Bewertungen hier war ich etwas skeptisch. Ich war letzte Woche auf einem Geburtstag eingeladen und bin auch Vegetarier. Ich war so überrascht wie schön das Ambiente ist und wie schön modern eingerichtet in diesem alten Fachwerkhaus. Es ist sehr sauber und auch das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Der Chef hat uns auch bedient und man merkt schnell, dass er viel Erfahrung hat. Wer wirklich mal chic essen gehen möchte und gut bedient werden will kann hier hin gehen. Die Speisekarte hat mir zwei vegetarische Gerichte angeboten. Es gibt aber auch immer frischen Fisch und saisonale Gerichte wie z.B. frische Pfifferlinge. Oder zur Spargelzeit eben Spargel. Also für selbst für Vegetarier gibt es immer genug Auswahl. Die Tische sind alle schön eingedeckt und wir möchten nochmal DANKE sagen für den schönen Tag. WIR kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Unter verschiedensten Pächtern immer schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht. Aha, das reicht von den Zeichen nicht, dann könnte es ja am Besitzer liegen. Es können ja nicht so viele Köche Schlecht sein?

War echt schlecht, hätte viel mehr erwartet. TK-Gemüse, und kaum gewürztes Fleisch, einfach lieblos.

Gutes Restaurant mit guter Jugoslawischer und internationaler Küche. Alles was meine Frau und ich dort gegessen haben war top. Die Portiongröße ist wirklich sehr ok Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und super freundlich. Wir fühlen uns dort sehr wohl und werden auf jeden Fall wieder hier unser essen genießen.
