Good food, good portions. Reservation required as it is very well attended!!

The service is extremely friendly and accommodating, the food is delicious. The portions are impressive to excessively large. You can choose between normal and large portions, although the normal portions are anything but normal. A smaller selection would be more customer-friendly. Many guests take the leftovers with them. But since not only the amount of meat but also the side dishes are doubled, this is more spectacular than sensible.

Really great restaurant with very nice service, very tasty food and a really nice atmosphere. The food is prepared very quickly, you don't have to wait long and the portions are definitely sufficient. If you're really hungry, take a large portion. The offer to take the leftover food home with you is also great!! Suggestion for improvement: Serve the sauces for the schnitzel separately in a gravy boat. Then you can choose how much sauce you want on the schnitzel and the schnitzel is not “drowned” straight away. But it's a high level of complaint. We'd love to come back.

Wow. No one in Wermelskirchen would expect this gem to be there. From the outside it looks like a good middle-class restaurant, but from the inside you are surprised at how warm and modern it is. The food was very tasty and the drinks weren't too expensive. It wasn't the last time we were there.

We were there with 13 people. In short, great atmosphere, very modern furnishings. The service was perfect, we received our food very quickly, even without pre-ordering. The food was also excellent, large portions and delicious sauces. Unfortunately, one point deducted for the food and a small suggestion for improvement: Serve the sauces in gravy boats, then the schnitzels stay crispy and fresh. Thank you for the great evening!

From the outside the restaurant looks rather inconspicuous. Inside there are very stylish guest rooms that are absolutely cozy and have their own style that is pleasantly surprising. You immediately feel comfortable. The schnitzel menu is awesome. The portions are large. The fried potatoes were great. Wednesday evening... Full house, that's saying something. I didn't like the thickened pepper sauce, which doesn't mean it was homemade. The side salad was delicious. All in all, the four of us go home full and satisfied. Oh yes, the service was very good, friendly and accommodating. We hereby threaten to visit again

We have only used the schnitzel taxi so far. Ordering via WhatsApp works great. The food comes on time and warm. They are huge portions that can be eaten by two people. Unfortunately, I didn't like the mushroom sauce that much. But everything else is great

Have rarely eaten as well as there. Great restaurant with first class staff. The food was absolutely top and reasonably priced. However, you should reserve at least 5 days in advance. We ordered here for the first time based on a recommendation and can only confirm all the positive reviews. We had to wait another 10-15 minutes to pick up the food, but that was okay. Apparently it was very crowded that evening. At home we unpacked the food, which didn't fit all on the plate due to the quantity. The food was delicious, just (unfortunately) too much. The price you pay is actually far too cheap for what you get as a portion. Tip top, thank you very much.

I celebrated my wedding here in mid-May. All guests loved the ambience. The food was great, the staff was exemplary. In my opinion, price/performance cannot be beaten. I can only recommend it for celebrations and look forward to eating there next time.

The store has been renovated since my last visit. An impressive transformation. Modern, cozy, feel good, very busy - it's better to reserve a table in advance. Nice staff, great menu with, in my opinion, a fair price-performance ratio. There are schnitzels in two sizes: normal and mega (for those who are really hungry). The normal schnitzel costs 16.90 and the mega schnitzel costs 19.90. There is also a delicious side salad and fried potatoes or fries or another side dish. The food was brought to the table quickly and hot. I think the store and the concept are great and will come back.

We were there for the first time yesterday and loved it! The staff is very friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is pleasant, the shop is beautifully decorated, the food tastes great and the portion is more than decent! (And I'm not even a big schnitzel eater because I've never really liked most of them, but the schnitzel in this shop is really great!) Very cozy Very friendly And the food is just great for the price. Even had to have it packed. My tip is that it's best to call and reserve in advance and it's a bit difficult to park, but with a little patience you'll find it and you'll be allowed to park in the garages in the back yard👍

After numerous calls to both numbers given......cell phone and landline........over two days...we gave up. Busy....by letting it ring.....or simply pushing it away. Friends invited us here as a birthday present. I have to admit that we were a bit confused at first when we arrived. The exterior seemed a bit strange at first, but we were even more impressed by the dining room. It was lovingly, thoughtfully and very comfortably, modernly furnished. The service staff were extremely friendly, patient and flexible. The food was served quickly and was very tasty. An all-round successful evening and a location that we will definitely visit again.

The range of food on offer is enormous. Not only is every dish also vegetarian, there are a variety of vegan dishes. Even though I'm a meat eater myself, I think this service is great. All I can really say about the quality of the food is...DELICIOUS. Personally, I can't give the chef a higher compliment. The ingredients taste fresh and finely balanced. The portions are huge and special requests are welcome. I have dined in some very good restaurants with very friendly staff. But everyone here puts their heart and soul into it. You feel so welcome from the first minute to the last. What still amazes me is the fact that they manage to ensure that the fries are still cross when delivered...a phenomenon...but great. A tip: if you want to have the food delivered, you should think about this early enough. Haus Hochstein enjoys an excellent reputation and is therefore also in great demand for delivery services. It can happen that a last-minute delivery request cannot be fulfilled. So...order early and enjoy.

We came across the schnitzel factory completely by chance... If you want to eat delicious schnitzel, you've come to the right place! All schnitzels are available in 2 sizes and vegetarian options are also possible. As a starter we had aioli with bread and bruschetta - also very tasty. Unfortunately I couldn't fit any more dessert, maybe next time 😉 There are parking spaces at the house, if it is full you have to look for something on the street. Ambiance is modern. Service is friendly, attentive and accommodating.

Today we wanted to visit the restaurant for the very first time, after we found one of the scarce parking spaces, we went into the restaurant. Nice atmosphere, nice reception, and a friendly lady then explained to us that unfortunately it was closed today. Everything's good so far, but why don't you put it on the website...Facebook?? So since everything was very friendly, we will make a second attempt. I would like to know whether the schnitzels taste good. So then the rating for the food with pictures follows.

Wir waren am 2. Weihnachtstag dort. Ich hatte ein 300g Steak Medium rare bestellt. Trotz viel sehr viel Gäste war die Bedienung sehr freundlich und immer in der Nähe falls was nachbestellt werden sollte. Ich war sehr skeptisch was mein Steak anging aber ich wollte es mal testen. Ich muss sagen ich habe noch nie so ein leckeres Steak gegessen wie dort. Es war genau auf den Punkt und sehr gut gewürzt. Auch die anderen Mahlzeiten waren sehr lecker. Es gab niemanden aus unserer Familie die sich beschweren mussten. Wir werden das auf jeden Fall wiederholen war die einstimmig Meinung aller.

Ein regelmäßiges Vergnügen, ob vor Ort im Restaurant, dass seit dem Umbau einiges an Pluspunkten im Bereich Ambiente dazu gewonnen hat, als auch das Schnitzeltaxi für zuhause. <3

Als erstes muss ich sagen, dass ich selten in so stilvollem Ambiente gegessen habe, wie hier. Wirklich wunderschön eingerichtet, sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre, bequeme Sitzgelegenheiten, gute Musik - kurz: hier verweilt man gerne länger! Das Essen ist sehr lecker, bisher haben mir alle Gerichte immer geschmeckt. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Die Portionen sind groß. Der Service ist immer sehr zuvorkommend, das Personal höflich und der Chef des Hauses liegt das Wohl der Gäste merklich am Herzen. Wir kommen gerne hier her essen und sprechen eine klare Empfehlung aus!

Heute als Familie zum ersten Mal hier bestellt, eigentlich nur mangels Alternativen. Wir waren positiv überrascht, da wir eigentlich nicht so Schnitzelfans sind, eher Filetsteak, Hirsch, Ente oder Lammfilet wählen und kein Schnitzel. Das Essen kam nach 30 min., war sehr schmackhaft und überreichlich, der Beilagensalat frisch. Klare Weiterempfehlung! Wir werden garantiert noch mal bestellen! Vor der Bestellung sollte man aber längere Zeit schon hungrig sein, sonst schafft man diese Portionen gar nicht.😂Nachtrag: Wir waren gestern endlich auch mal im Restaurant essen, hatten alle Gänsekeule mit Sauce, Rotkohl, Kloß, halbem Minibratapfel und kleinem Salat für je 23,90€. Das Fleisch war zart und saftig, die Sauce würzig, der Rotkohl mundete hervorragend, der Salat war frisch. Der Service war aufmerksam, schnell und professionell, wir waren begeistert! Und das Ambiente hat uns auch gut gefallen, (vielleicht kann man an den paar Tischen die unter den Deckenstrahlern stehen noch solche schönen Hängelampen installieren, wie an den anderen Tischen? Es war ein schöner Abend, wir kommen wieder!!! Vielen Dank!

Das Essen ist meistens gut und mehr als ausreichend. Mir schmeckte beim letzten Mal das Jägerschnitzel noch so, weil die Sauce sehr synthetische war. Die Schnitzel sind leider nicht selber gemacht. Aber das Bergische Schnitzel, das Cordon Bleu oder auch der Balkan Teller waren lecker. Update 25.11.2023: Haben uns Bergische Schnitzel nach Hause bestellt. Waren sehr, sehr lecker. Wahrscheinlich hatten wir beim letzten Mal einen schlechten Tag erwischt. Habe die Bewertung nach oben korrigiert.

Wirklich tolle Location und Ambiente. Parkplatzsituation auch in Ordnung. Essen war mehr als reichlich und wirklich spitze. Sehr lecker. Schade war, dass es kein Gäste W-Lan gab, aber ist im Restaurant kein Muss. Kommen gerne wieder.

Am 11.Nov.23 habe ich mit 23 Gästen im Haus Hochstein meinen Abschied aus dem aktiven Berufsleben gefeiert. Vom Sektempfang, über die Vorspeise bis zum Hauptgericht war der Ablauf absolut reibungslos. Sowohl meine Gäste als auch ich lobten: die gute Küche den Top Service die schöne Location. Ich möchte mich für diesen schönen Abend nochmals beim gesamten Team des Haus Hochstein bedanken. Ich kann nur sagen: Prädikat für alle Anlässe sehr empfehlenswert.

Hey liebe Interessenten, ich kann jeden nur den äußerst dringenden Ratschlag geben, eine ordentliche Mahlzeit im Haus Hochstein zu nehmen. Das Serviceteam ist eines der nettesten und hilfsbereitesten welche ich lange nicht in Wermelskirchen erleben durfte. Ich habe noch nie schlechte Laune oder Unlust gesehen, ganz im Gegenteil 10 Minuten in den nach den Umbaumaßnahmen wirklich ansprechenden Räumlichkeiten gepaart mit der unglaublich positiven Einstellung des gesamten Teams verleiten länger als geplant zu bleiben und geben einem wirklich das Gefühl willkommen zu sein, man bekommt die gute Laune automatisch übertragen! Es ist wirklich erlebenswert, und das Essen, die Portionen sind fast im absoluten Gleichgewicht, manchmal ist es zu viel, aber noch nie war es zu wenig. Probiert dringend das Chili-cheese Schnitzel 🤤

Ich kann über das Haus Hochstein nur positives berichten. Tolles Ambiente, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und weiterempfehlen.

Für jeden der im Bergischen auf der Suche nach einem guten Restaurant ist , sollte definitiv einen Halt in der Kenkhauserstraße 105 machen ! Das Ambiente ist einladend und harmonisch. Das Personal ist freundlich und kommt in regelmäßigen Abständen und fragt ob man gut versorgt ist oder noch was benötigt. Leider muss ich meine erste Rezension nach unten korrigieren. Wir waren am 13.10. da. Wir hatten nicht reseviert,Ok. Es war ein Nottisch. Aber bei so einem schönen Ambiente, dachte ich, dass die Stühle von der Höhe auch zum Tisch passen. Wer direkt vom Teller in den Mund "schaufelt" für den mag es ja Ok sein. Aber ich bin nur 1,66 gross und das war schon sehr niedrig.Schade. Dann hatte ich ein Jägerschnitzel. Leider schmeckte die Sauce nicht stark nach Pilze,sondern sehr stark nach Tomate. Das Schnitzel hatte außen eine Pappeartige Konsistenz, dass ich mich frage,wie das passieren kann. Es hatte für mich den Anschein,als wären es keine frisch panierten Schnitzel, sondern Konvinions. Ich esse etwas langsamer als mein Mann, ich hatte noch etwas auf meinem Teller,aber es wurde bei meinem Mann schon der Teller abgeräumt. Das ist für mich weit von einem guten Service entfernt. Dadurch ziehe ich leider einen Stern ab. SCHADE. Wir waren hier ganz spontan Essen, ganz lieber ,aufmerksamer Service , innen tolles Ambiente, Ein Stern habe ich leider abgezogen, Schnitzel war super lecker, die ChillicheeseSauce auch. Die Pomnes waren so wie sie sein sollen. Nur leider der kleine Beilagensalat er war frisch ,knackig, aber sonst passte er nicht zu dem Rest. Das Dressing schmeckte sehr gewöhnlich. Ich hätte gerne 4,5 Sterne vergeben, wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder hingehen.

Wer gute Schnitzel in vielen Varianten liebt, ist genau hier richtig. Nur Obacht, die Portionen sind gewaltig, ohne dabei an Qualität zu verlieren. Ich komme gerne immer wieder.

Es war für uns ein tolles Erlebnis als wir das Restaurant Haus Hochstein betraten.Die Eigentümer mit dem gesamten Service-Team hatten aus den Räumlichkeiten ein wahres Hochzeits - eldorado geschaffen. Die Anordnung der Tische,die Tischdekoration, ausgeführt von der Deko-Werstatt Sabine Stolz in Wermelskirchen, alles super schön und perfekt. Das Highlight: Der Küchenchef mit seinem Team. Ein tolles und ebenso schmackhaftes, rustikales Buffet, das keine Wünsche offen ließ, ja wenn man das so beschreiben darf, eine Leistung der Küche im Sternebereich. Der gesamte Abend stand im Restaurant im Zeichen der Silberhochzeit-Feier. Perfekt von A bis Z. Ich kann dieses Restaurant in allen Belangen nur wärmstens empfehle.
