Really delicious schnitzel and really decent portions, you get your money's worth here!

I first went to Haus Hochstein when it still had that wonderfully rustic charm. Even back then, it was always packed, and the food was phenomenal! A few years ago, they renovated with a lot of heart and soul, giving the place a fantastic modern feel. I now live 500km away, but whenever I'm in the area, I have to stop by! The atmosphere is perfect not only for enjoying the best schnitzel variations (by the way, regular = 2 schnitzels, mega = 3; pork or chicken ☝🏻❤️), but also for refreshing cocktails, wine, and beer. I can also highly recommend the steak. The quality of the meat here has been consistently excellent for years! Even though the restaurant is packed during the week, they also offer a schnitzel delivery service, or you can order takeout. The fact that I can reserve and pre-order via WhatsApp makes me, as a millennial, doubly happy 😄 especially since it allows them to quickly check availability. The owners are people with heart and soul who give their ALL to this restaurant! They still work there themselves! The staff? No matter how stressful and busy it seems, the guys and girls are super professional, courteous, organized, and just as warm and cheerful as they are cheerful. Waiting times? I've never experienced any here. Even with our large group of about 20 people (plus a full restaurant and a taxi), I can't say we waited longer than 20-30 minutes for our food (from order to main course). The price-performance ratio is absolutely perfect. You get the quality you expect, and it's often exceeded. Even if you overestimate your ability to eat the mega-portion, they'll happily give you a box to enjoy the rest at home. The price-performance ratio is absolutely perfect. When ordering for takeout, the side dishes are always packaged separately and insulated. This ensures that the schnitzel doesn't get soggy in the sauce, nor does the salad get warm from the schnitzel. In fact, I often order takeout when I'm nearby and enjoy it at the next rest stop because it simply feels good to support this establishment. Why this detailed review? Because I appreciate quality and, especially given the distance and my experience, I want to share the greatness <3! The pictures are from visits over the last three years :)

The value for money is more than just good – you really get a lot for your money. However, due to the open layout and high occupancy, it can be quite noisy, making conversation a bit difficult at times. This is something to be aware of, but it doesn't detract significantly from the overall experience. Important: Reservations are practically essential, as the restaurant is very popular. Parking is also quite difficult – you should definitely allow extra time to find a spot. Overall, we highly recommend this restaurant – we will definitely be back!

I visited the Hochstein Schnitzel Manufaktur restaurant and can only say: this is exactly what a successful restaurant visit should be like. The service is truly exemplary. Unobtrusive, pleasantly in the background, but immediately available at the right moment. You can tell that someone with experience and intuition is working here – attentive without ever being intrusive. The food is absolutely fantastic. The schnitzels arrive hot and fresh, just as they should be. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside – everything is perfect. The presentation is also clean and appealing, without any unnecessary frills. In short: honest cuisine, impeccably executed, with service that makes the visit complete. I'll be back.

We went there last night on the off chance, without a reservation. We were warmly welcomed by a young waitress who offered us a booth by the window but warned us that we might need to wait as they were prioritizing diners with reservations. No problem. We were quickly asked for our drinks order and we had time to look through the menu and the bewildering array of schnitzels in a variety of different sauces and other delicious sounding dishes. We didn't really have to wait too long before one of the waiters took our order. We shared garlic bread and then I went for the schnitzel with chili cheese, jalapenos, a small side salad and some French fries. All delicious. As we were eating we noticed how many diners were leaving clutching doggie bags. It became clear as it was difficult to finish such generous portions here. We ended up asking for a doggie bag as well... The decor in this largish restaurant is subtle and well thought out. The cocktails list is superb. One of us had a Painkiller while I stuck to the draft Helles beer and banana flavoured Weizen beer. This place is a bit off the beaten track but they have a free car park located to the side of this establishment. All good!

Great schnitzel at a fair price. It's a shame the schnitzel is somewhat drowned in sauce, making the crispy breading taste like a soft roll. It would be nice if the sauces were served in a separate pot.

First of all, I have to say that the food at your restaurant is generally very tasty. However, today we ordered and mine was basically a waste of money. I had Gypsy schnitzel with potatoes; the sauce was unfortunately tasteless and the potatoes were still much too hard.

Great service, lovely decor, large portions. Delicious fried potatoes, the schnitzel is good, although the crispy fries made the Wiener Schnitzel perhaps a little too dry overall. The sauces could be improved and served separately. The vegetables were probably frozen. We'd love to come back again ❤

From the outside, the restaurant appears rather unassuming, but inside it surprises with very tasteful decor and pleasant acoustics. The food is visually appealing: beautifully arranged and attractively presented. However, the pork didn't win me over – it had an unpleasant aftertaste reminiscent of a barnyard. There's an extra charge of €2 for turkey, which I find inappropriate. It would be better to generally charge a slightly higher price and serve higher-quality meat – that would be more in keeping with the restaurant's attractive ambiance. It was also somewhat disappointing that one of our dishes was missing ingredients that were listed on the menu and contributed significantly to its appeal.

A very good restaurant with delicious food and good service. The portions were huge, which isn't something you can necessarily expect these days. I'm a big eater, but even I struggled with the amount, although it was very, very tasty. The restaurant was very busy (on a Wednesday), but we had our food in less than 15 minutes. The service was very friendly. The drink refills could have been a bit faster, as I was without a drink twice for about 10 minutes each time, but that's really the only minor criticism. The restaurant itself is very large with many large tables, so it's also very suitable for groups. However, you should definitely reserve in advance and perhaps be prepared to walk a bit from the parking lot, as the seats in front of the restaurant fill up quickly.

Aside from the delicious schnitzel dishes, I'm truly impressed by the service here. They clearly value friendliness and customer focus. Really excellent. Delivery time is far too long. The website says 30-60 minutes. Ordered at 5 p.m., food arrived at 9 p.m. They should reconsider the delivery time on their website or stop offering delivery services. We won't order from this restaurant again. The food is average.

I ate there yesterday. I received a friendly welcome and was shown to my reserved table. The food I ordered arrived quickly and was delicious. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The only thing that bothered me was that the tables for two people were close together. I was there with my friend and the busier it got the louder we had to talk to be able to carry on a conversation. When the tables are so close together there is no longer any privacy when eating. When I want to go out to eat, I want to be able to have a conversation in peace without overhearing conversations from left and right because the tables are so close together. Everything else was, as I said, great, from the staff to the food.

Simply really good, definitely make a reservation, unfortunately there aren't many parking spaces.

The music was far too loud, disrupting conversations at the table. It wasn't turned down even when requested. Service was slow, and empty glasses weren't noticed. The food was so-so. Portions were large, but the flavor left something to be desired. Ready-made sauces were used... The atmosphere was like a train station concourse.

Great restaurant, cozy and modern. Delicious schnitzel, excellent fried potatoes, very large portions of superb quality at reasonable prices, which is why the place is always quite busy, and rightly so. Picked up some delicious schnitzel again yesterday. The best quality schnitzel around, in my opinion, the best fried potatoes I've ever had. The price for the quantity is simply unbeatable. Please stay the way you are, even if you have to increase your prices at some point, which is normal.

We've been there several times; they have a huge selection of amazing schnitzels. If you're on the verge of a food coma, order the "Mega" portion for a small surcharge. You definitely get a decent portion for a very fair price. The restaurant has its own delivery service. Reservations are recommended, as the place is often busy.

We've also ordered several times and have always been satisfied with the delivery service – from the ordering process to the delivery. The drivers are always very friendly, and the food is always hot. Today we were particularly surprised. After we ordered, they said they'd arrive in 40 minutes – great! And suddenly the doorbell rang, and the food was there. 15 minutes from ordering via WhatsApp to the schnitzel on our plate 😃 but even when it takes longer on busy days or when we pick it up, everything comes out great. We were there for a family celebration, and it was the 🔨, the portions were so generous and good that, with a few exceptions, no one could finish a plate. If you wanted, you could also have the leftovers packed up. I had the Gorgonzola schnitzel with walnuts (I had to hunt for them) and it was a delight. The service was attentive and very quick, and despite being relatively small, everyone sitting together got their food at the same time. You guys are great 👍 keep it up

We ate there yesterday with five adults and one child. We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful, modern decor. We were greeted very warmly, immediately given a highchair, and then allowed to sit at a larger table so we had more space. We ordered fries for our grandson in advance, and they arrived within five minutes. Drinks were also constantly brought, and our food was very good and plentiful. Excellent value for money. We were also given a very friendly farewell by the very young team. We would gladly return.

The restaurant is very popular on weekends and can only be visited by reservation. We had to reserve a table for two people for a Sunday evening three weeks in advance. The restaurant has a stylish and modern interior. The service was courteous and attentive. The food arrived relatively quickly. We ordered a chili cheese schnitzel in the regular version and a schnitzel with two sauces (pepper sauce and hunter's sauce) in the mega version. The regular version consists of two schnitzels, and the mega version consists of three schnitzels. The mega version also has a larger side dish, except for the salad. The mega version costs four euros more. Turkey schnitzel and vegetarian schnitzel are available for an additional charge. We ordered the sauces separately, which we would recommend to everyone, as this allows you to try the schnitzel in its natural form. And here's the first criticism: the schnitzels are wafer-thin and coated in an unidentifiable breading. The chili cheese sauce wasn't bad, but it was very reminiscent of the nacho sauce you get at the movies. The pepper sauce was "so-so." The hunter's sauce wasn't great either. The schnitzel dishes came with a small side salad, where the dressing was only applied on top and not mixed with the leaves underneath. The fries were okay. The fried potatoes with bacon were very tasty, crispy, and well-seasoned. Half of the guests used the provided packaging to take the leftovers home because the portions were very large.
