Delicious food and always friendly service. If you definitely want a table, a reservation is definitely necessary.

Despite having a reservation, we waited almost 2 hours for food. With older people it was just an imposition. We waited in vain for an apology. There was no greeting from the kitchen or anything like that. The food was ok, nothing special, the service was smart. At least we always had drinks. The restaurant had clearly taken far too many reservations for its capabilities. The hall in which we were seated was far too crowded and incredibly loud. The furniture is at least 30 years old and very dated. For us it's clear: never again.

It is sad that it is stated that Haus Hamacher is open until 11 p.m. on weekends. When we arrived at the restaurant shortly before 10 p.m. to have a drink, the waitress looked at us as if she had seen a ghost. The message came straight away: The kitchen is closed. We were aware of that too and told her that we just wanted something to drink. But since she had to ask her colleague first, we left! If I no longer want to serve guests or make money, I should lock the doors. Unfortunately, this is not the first time that Haus Hamacher has attracted negative attention in this regard. The employees aren't the friendliest either. We have also been waiting in vain for weeks for an email from Mr. Wüllenweber regarding free appointments at the bowling alley. Unfortunately, 'customer is king' is out of place here.

Good service, good food, good price...just a pity that there is too much light (in the evening) in the restaurant. Could be a little less.

We live 1.5 hour away but gladly drive here to eat. Food is so traditional, great. Housemade. They adjust easily for different diet restrictions. Service is fab. Cozy relaxng place. Everything we have glad so far is tasty, super good. We will keep coming as long as it stays like this. Thank you Haus Hamacher🤗

Delicious food as usual, but it has become expensive

Unfortunately, if you eat at the weekend it can take an hour before you get the food served, during the week if you sat outside it went faster.

After not having been there for years, I happened to try it again and went around Christmas. Typical German eatery (several variants of schnitzel, meat and fish, bratkartoffeln, etc., on the menu) with good portions and tasty dishes. Simply good food for a fair price.

I ate the mixed grill at Haus Hamacher and it was simply good. Everything was well prepared and nicely seasoned, with no frills. Not a highlight, but definitely a solid choice for a relaxed meal.

Nice location on the Kahnweier. Food was good. We liked it.

Restaurant with little atmosphere. On the other hand, the food is delicious. Extensive3 menu. Smooth friendly service. Close to hiking area, Wohnmobil Stellplatz, boating lake and open pool (summer). Parking in the immediate vicinity.

We were there for the Christmas party with work. The staff was overwhelmed and couldn't keep up with the orders. The food was okay, but not so much that you think “woah, you have to go there again next year” and the atmosphere was very old-fashioned. The staff was very friendly and always tried hard, but simply too few staffed.

A normal restaurant where you can eat well, average middle-class food, service seems uncertain at times, just like the cook or boss who pours himself a beer during working hours instead of sending the food out more quickly, or you make a little more effort the way it is served or the taste, for example. Salad is great, otherwise totally normal, we trust you.

Visiting a friend in Germany. Had the Jager Schnitzel, it was excellent. The service was friendly and attentive. The prices are very reasonable. Great restaurant for families.

Went for dinner with 7 adults and 4 kids. My choice is limited due to my stomach reduction. Ideal for a schnitzel lover, but understood that their schnitzel was very thick and smaller than what they are used to from a German portion. I opted for scampi skewer, but in my opinion it was made from a lot of oil. The few fries I ate tasted good. Wanted to grab an ice cream, but the ice cream did not match what is shown in the picture. There was no sauce with the children's ice cream, although this was done, after which the kids did not like the ice cream at all. After asking for a new ice cream because of the sauce, the employee wanted to start a discussion, but after we showed it on the menu, the kids got a new ice cream. Much less “decorated”. Not really recommended for me to go again.

As always, very crowded. Table reservation necessary. Bad air in the room. Long wait for the food, BUT the price/service list is good. The staff remains friendly despite the stress.

Wir sind vom Wohnmobil Stellplatz zum Essen rüber gelaufen. Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt und auch unser Hund war willkommen. Wir haben uns für die Grillplatte für 2 Personen entschieden ( 52 € ) und wir waren vollkommen zufrieden. Es waren verschiedene Beilagen auf der Platte, 3 Sorten Fleisch, Gemüse und eine Salatbeilage vorweg. Das Essen war alles sehr lecker. Das Personal bestand an diesem Abend aus recht jungen Servicekräften, die einen guten Job gemacht haben. Freundlich, aufmerksam und sehr nett. Das einzige, was ich bemängeln kann, ist das Erdinger alkoholfrei. Das schmeckt einfach nicht. Ist aber Geschmackssache. Auch Essen zum mitnehmen wird angeboten, wenn man lieber am Wohnmobil essen möchte.

Today we ate at Haus Hamacher for the first time and in short: Delicious! The food was absolutely delicious, the service smooth and very friendly. Everything was well taken care of and the price-quality ratio was completely in balance. Highly recommended!

The schnitzels were very good, but the hunter's sauce was reminiscent of cafeteria sauce and the champions were from a can! The service was very good! Almost tore everything out again! You may also want to look at the glasses before filling them.

It's not a culinary highlight now. The sauces and mashed potatoes are out of the bag. The vegetables are mixed and frozen. Which I don't think is bad in itself, but it's not a particularly tasty frozen vegetable. It was too chewy for me too. But despite everything, you can't complain because it's unbeatably cheap for today's times. You can also get snacks in the restaurant and can only eat fries. But we felt very comfortable because one service was nicer than the other. We were always asked promptly if we wanted something to drink. Top! I would go again to try other dishes. Thanks to the staff, the feel-good factor was very high for us. Ice cream was very tasty and fries too.

For such a large restaurant there is a total lack of vegan cuisine. A single dish is offered and it is extremely bad. It is also so loud there that it is impossible to have a conversation at the table.

Really good schnitzel with lots of variants. Come on schnitzel day, Tuesdays, and get a deal. It's a really nice spot.

The Dutchman should have quit long ago. I've never seen anything so unfriendly in a "restaurant".

Unfortunately the cordon bleu was made in the deep fryer and that's how it tasted And they forgot the salt on the fries.

Unfortunately you can't give zero stars. Sauce from the bag, schnitzel so flat that you might think it was a breaded slice of cooked ham and, to top it off, warmed up fries.

I thought the 200 gram pfeffer steak was a bit much for me. The waitress indicated that they possibly had a senior alternative of 100 grams. As it turned out, not only was the meat half a portion, but also potatoes and vegetables. Then you also expect a reasonable price. But instead of €29.90 for a normal steak, we were allowed to pay €27.90 for these senior teams, where everything was literally halved.

We went to the traditional house spontaneously...the kitchen, which is fortunately open all day, made this possible...and luckily we were able to sit down on the large outdoor terrace when the weather was good...the service was quick and friendly...the menu was very large , varied and with dishes for small and large appetites... and luckily there is no shortage of good old home cooking here... the service was served relatively quickly... the price structure is reasonable... the ambience is a bit old school ...which I don't think is a bad thing at all...it fits very well with such a long-established location...and I like it when a restaurant like this works without any frills...and in the end, that's what counts ends up on the plate... and speaking of my plate... the beef roulades were very well braised... rich sauce... the vegetables could have been seasoned a little more... the mashed potatoes seemed a little like they came from the microwave... . slightly "dry" so the kitchen could do with some work... but all in all it was pretty good... in this case the drink was a good Warsteiner beer fresh from the barrel... the first visit is required due to the A diverse selection of dishes, definitely after one or two repetitions... and the surroundings with the pond... the outdoor pool and Rodebach have a lot to offer...

Not suitable for allergy sufferers. Despite requests and assurances that the food was prepared without the use of flavor enhancers, sauces did not contain only small amounts of flavor enhancers. It later turned out that it was part of the ready-made sauces used. That happened to me twice there. Unfortunately I can't go there anymore. A pity. But I have to emphasize that the staff is very nice and helpful.

I come here regularly to take a break while cycling. Good atmosphere, friendly service and fair prices. Here you can still have coffee and tea without thinking 'I've been taken here'.

The price-performance ratio is good. There are solid dishes prepared the old school way for everyone. The draft beer selection is very good. The drink prices are very reasonable. The male service staff is always motivated and friendly. With the female service staff you usually have the impression that you are tolerated as a regular guest. The fact that there are two bowling alleys is a plus. However, as a long-standing bowling club, people are reluctant to be served in the basement, even though they regularly achieve good sales. Lanes are sometimes allocated twice so that you can make your way home with the whole team.

Bij de reservering hebben we gevraagd of er rekening mee gehouden kan worden dat een gezinslid glutenvrij moet eten. Dat was geen probleem. Maar tijdens het diner werd er niet goed mee omgegaan. degene die ons bediende wist er totaal niet mee om te gaan en wist blijkbaar niet wat dit inhield. Met het gevolg dat het betreffende gezinslid enkele dagen met buikklachten heeft rondgelopen. Jammer van een leuk etentje.

We've been there several times but the food was far too greasy - everything was full of fat. It was also far too full in the restaurant, you should also keep an eye on the guests so that they can be served optimally.

Bin oft dort im Restaurant . Nehme immer das Schlemmerschnitzel. Ich kann also vergleichen . Meistens sieht das Essen gut aus , aber gestern am 03.Mai 2024 stand jemand in der Küche der total nicht in seine Arbeit interessiert ist / war. War wahrscheinlich früher Tapezierer und hat dann ein bisschen kochen dazu gelernt . Wenn man gestern das Schlemmer Schnitzel für € 11.50 an Bauarbeiter verkauft hätte , wäre es Ok gewesen, aber nicht für € 16,50 . Aber liebe Bauarbeiter , für euch wäre es auch nicht geeignet Essen Sie dann lieber einen Schnitzel mit Pommes für € 12.50 beim Zweiländerpunkt in der Sittarderstrasse in Gangelt. Dort bin ich auch sehr oft , wo man immer die selbe Öualität bekommt !! Ich werde es bei Haus Hamacher noch einmal probieren . Wenn es so schlecht bleibt , Dann Ajus .

Wir hatten zum zweiten Mal die Kegelbahn reserviert, leider wurde uns erst bei Ankunft an der Bahn und nach der ersten Getränkerunde mitgeteilt, dass die Kegelbahn defekt sei und man sich drum kümmern würde. Es passierte gar nichts, man ließ uns einfach an der Bahn sitzen. Nach einer Weile und null Information entschlossen wir uns zu gehen. An der Theke bemängelten wir, dass der Service eine Katastrophe wäre, aber das störte niemanden, blödes gegrinse und dumme Antworten waren oder sind hier Normalität. Entschuldigung oder es tut uns leid sind im Wortschatz nicht enthalten,sorry geht gar nicht. Warum konnte man uns nicht schon bei der Reservierung mitteilen, dass die Bahn defekt sei, zudem ließ man uns noch Getränke bestellen und erst dann der Hinweis, dass die Bahn nicht funktioniert. Also wir werden diese Lokalität nicht mehr betreten, auch das Essen hier ist nicht zu empfehlen,Personal viel vor Ort aber schlecht geschult, uns wird man hier nicht mehr sehen, das einzig positive ist die Lage, aber die alleine ist zu wenig.

Update: Unfortunately the double currywurst has become so expensive that it's no longer worth it - still delicious 😁😁😁 - but the hamburger is a show... actually everything is delicious...

De actuele menukaart staat niet online, wel een oude die niet meer bestaat, het huidige menu is vrijwel alleen Schnitzels of schweinefleisch, een enkel visgerecht en 1 vegan gerecht. Met name heel veel saus op het vlees/ vis waardoor je alleen saus proeft de aardappelcroquetten waren ok. De frietjes droog en lauw. Het dessert was een grote hoop ijs met saus. Geen aanrader. De roze was wel goed.

A very beautifully designed restaurant with a pavilion right on the boat pond. Opposite there is a mini golf course as well as a caravan parking space and a beautiful path around the Kahnweiher for walking. There is good food at a fair price with very friendly staff. I can highly recommend it. Addendum February 10, 2024 I was disappointed with the food at the large carnival buffet. For €23.90 per person I didn't find any exceptional taste/quality in the food. The ambience and service was great as always. I'll wait for the next buffet and hope for improvement.
