Haus Deckers Restaurant und Hotel am Markt in Geldern

We've been going to Haus Deckers since 2010. Today, 2024. As every year during asparagus season, our expectations were fully met. Delicious, high-quality food and friendly service. We'd love to come back. We were there again this year and had an excellent meal. Keep it up until 2026.

I can't say what the rooms were like. We were only there for the asparagus dinner and had the mill shown to us.

We were there yesterday for Mother's Day with the whole family to eat asparagus! It was super tasty and the entire staff is very friendly and attentive! An all around friendly atmosphere! We are completely thrilled, thank you for the friendly service and would be happy to come back!

It concerns eating spagel. They charged €24.50 for spagel, potatoes and a non-homemade sauce. In addition, the price for a schnitzel was €16.00. ARE over €40. The food wasn't worth that price. Once and not again.

We have been regular guests at Haus Deckers for years and always enjoy coming here! We even ride our bikes from Düsseldorf because the food and service are simply great. The food is delicious and freshly prepared, the portions are generous. The service is friendly and attentive, the staff is always in a good mood and creates a cozy atmosphere. We have never experienced disappointment and are always happy to come back. The location is also ideal for cyclists as there is easy parking and the route there is nice. We can really recommend Haus Deckers and are already looking forward to our next visit! *Positive:* Delicious food, friendly service, cozy atmosphere *Conclusion:* An absolute must for all cyclists and food lovers! The asparagus was served cold, watery and far too soft, even though it was al dente. Hollandaise sauce from the bag and foaming it up (extra charge) doesn't make it any better

It was our first time there to eat asparagus and the quality of the food and the staff were very attentive and very friendly. It wasn't the last time we were there. It's a shame that you can only give five stars.

Das Essen war geschmacklich 1a und auch mehr als ausreichend. Das alles in einem urigen und sehr gepflegtem Ambiente,einem super Service und zu einem wie wir fanden gutem Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Wir waren aufjedenfall nicht das letzte Mal dort.

Een bijzondere ervaring !!! Zeer traditionele zaak gelegen in het hart van Wallbeck. Authentieke inrichting. Gerechten zijn kwalitatief zeer goed en bijzonder smaakvol!! Top bediening en prima prijsstelling. Wat wil je meer nog meer ??

A beautiful little village near the Dutch border

A good hotel with decent beds and a solid breakfast. Very pleasant. We were there during the off-season, so service was limited. Still recommended.

Our visit to the restaurant during asparagus season was very worthwhile. the service was very nice and professional. The homemade wine foam sauce is a poem to asparagus.

Es ist war schwierig für mich zu entscheiden ob es zwei oder drei Punkte beginnt. Ich will es aber aus der Emotion raus auch nicht schlechter machen. Das Essen war leider für mich nenn Flop. Es war lecker keine Frage! Aber ich hab mich für ein Gericht entschieden wo keine Pilze explizit ausgeschrieben wurden. ( Bei allen anderen stand es bei) Kla hätte man sich auch das denken können bei Geschnetzeltes in Sahne Soße aber wie gesagt es stand nicht wie bei den anderen gerichten dabei. Zu dem komm der extrem hohe Preis für zu kleine Portionen. Wir sind danach noch woanders ein Eis essen gegangen da das wirklich nicht mehr drin war. Wir lagen bei knapp 90 Euro mit Suppe und Hauptgericht und nur zwei Getränken ( was auch kein Wein oder so teures war) für zwei Personen . Wir waren insgesamt mit einer großen Gruppe da. Von der Qualität waren wir alle zufrieden. Sind aber für das Geld nicht satt Nachhause gegangen.

The service was always nice, attentive and friendly. Everything old school, what you look for in other places today. The ambience doesn't seem dusty or old-fashioned to us, but rather refreshingly authentic. There are plenty of modern and sometimes tasteless or randomly furnished restaurants. We always like to come back because it is simply authentic and very cozy. Like in the good old days...

The Möhren-Kartoffel-Rösti with Kräuter-Schmand und Salatbouquet is very tasty. This restaurant and hotel has even more vegetarian dishes. The staff is very friendly and thinks along with the guests about the choice of dishes. Cozy decorated restaurant. There is also a terrace. Very neat toilets on the ground floor.

Our destination was Kevera, a Christian pilgrimage site. A hotel in the suburbs costs 100 euros per night for two adults, including breakfast. There is also a restaurant on site.

Very disappointing. The asparagus tasted very average (watery), the small potatoes were not fresh (steamed, warmed up, watery), the ham was ok and the service was friendly. We drove 120 km to spend a relaxing Sunday with friends. After dessert we were informed that, contrary to information on the Internet, the restaurant is no longer open all day. There is certainly a difference between self-perception and external perception. I always try very hard to present my impressions and experiences objectively and correctly.

Altehrwürdiges Gasthaus und Hotel mit einfachen aber großen Zimmern. Schön gelegen im Spargeldorf Walbeck. Wir hatten mit unserer Radlertruppe das Wochenendarrangement Gourmet gebucht. Es war super. Besonders das Spargelbuffet. Das Haus ist für Radler optimal. Riesiger abschließbarer Fahrradschuppen mit vielen Ladestationen für Ebikes. Und vor allem das freundliche und zuvorkommende Personal. Alles topp.

Leider enttäuscht! Küche entgegen Info im Internet nicht am Sonntag durchgängig geöffnet. Wurde auch bei der Tischreservierung nicht kommuniziert. Eingeschränkte Spargel-Karte! Es gab kein Angebot für Fisch, Rindfleisch und Kalb! Lediglich Schinken und Schnitzel, welches leider nur mittelmäßige Qualität hatte. Spargel selbst war etwas zu weich und leicht wässerig. Die Kartoffeln hatten auch wenig Geschmack und wirkten leicht kaputt gedämpft. Die Sauce Hollandaise schmeckte etwas überwürzt. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich! Schade, dass man einfach nur Mittag gegessen hat und nichts besonderes erfahren hat.

Einfach top, diese Adresse merken sich alle Spargelkenner. Service einfach nett und freundlich, Qualität ist einfach nur Klasse.

Ein sehr gutes Restaurant mit freundlichen Service. Etwas teurer aber man bekommt auch entsprechend was auf seinem Teller das Auge ist mit. Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmt

Erste Wahl um zur Spargelsaison Eröffnung einzukehren.

Wollte einen Tisch über das hauseigene Portal reservieren. Lt. der automatisch generierten Anwortmail wollte man sich kurzfristig melden. Nach 23 ! Stunden keine Reaktion. Keine Lust? überfordert? oder schlecht organisiert? Egal; bei der Vielzahl in der Gastronomie brauche ich mir das als (potentieller) Gast nicht bieten zu lassen. Ebensowenig, wenn man dann nach der Absage aber plötzlich binnen Stundenfrist beleidigt mit drei Worten reagieren kann. Spricht gleichfalls nicht für Qualität und adäquates Verhalten. Sei´s drum; halt einfach nie wieder.

Anfang Februar hatten wir reserviert, da der "Kulinarische Kalender" des Hauses Fischwochen mit Süß- und Salzwasserspezialitäten für diesen Monat ankündigte. Leider konnten wir bei unserem Besuch nicht darauf zurückgreifen. Da wir hungrig waren, suchten wir Gerichte aus der Speisenkarte aus. Das Geschnetzelte mit hausgemachten Kroketten und kleinem Salat war sehr schmackhaft, leider ziemlich wenig. Zu erwähnen sei der gemischte Salat, bei dem alle Komponenten mit einem extra Dressing versehen waren. Die Filetsteaks waren mit 190 g (größere Steaks stehen zur Auswahl in der Karte)ok. Der bestellte Gargrad wurde nicht ganz getroffen, statt "medium" war das eher ein "medium rare", und ohne Kruste, aber noch ok. Da das Hauptessen nicht so üppig ausfiel, entschieden wir uns noch zu einem Dessert "Diplomatencreme". Je nach Auffassung des Kochs fällt sie unterschiedlich aus; das ist bekannt. Hier war es eine mit Alkohol (Rum?) aromatisierte Vanillecreme mit übergestreuten Schokoraspeln. Das Restaurant war sauber, es gab Stoffservietten und der Service freundlich. Angesichts der Portionsgrößen waren die Preise noch ok.

Gezellig sfeervol restaurant met goede burgerlijke menukaart. Bediening erg vriendelijk en attent. Asperge/menu zeer uitgebreid.
