Great food, friendly and very likeable

The menu was limited, but everything was fresh and delicious. The view of the riding arena was interesting. We'll be back.

A straightforward menu, 14 different schnitzels and a salad plate. Everything was freshly prepared and tasted delicious. The price/performance ratio is good.

It was our first time there, and we can tell you it won't be our last. There's plenty of parking, and we received a very friendly welcome from the lovely owner. Unfortunately, the bad weather prevented us from sitting on the terrace with its beautiful view, so we sat inside overlooking the riding arena. We enjoyed delicious, chilled Veltins beer on tap, and for dinner, we had a Jägerschnitzel (hunter's schnitzel) and a Zigeunerschnitzel (gypsy schnitzel), each served with fries and salad. They also offer lighter fare like fresh Mettbrötchen (raw minced pork on a roll) and homemade meatballs, along with drinks. We had a wonderful time, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. If you're looking for delicious schnitzel and generous portions at a fair price, this is the place to go. Highly recommended! *****

Cool retro restaurant with a view of the riding arena in a stunning location. Delicious schnitzel, open-faced sandwiches, and ribs. Excellent service. We were thrilled and will definitely be back. Perfect pit stop for hikers.

We were there for the opening match of the European Championship. A great, relaxed atmosphere, excellent service with attentive and friendly staff, delicious food from the barbecue buffet, and good value for money. Five weeks later, we went back with a private party. Again, the buffet was delicious; the roast beef was so tender you didn't need a knife, and the service was once more superb.

Super delicious schnitzels, everything fresh, highly recommended. The ambiance? What can I say? It was like a trip back in time, where you could also enjoy delicious food in a pub, socializing at the bar. Just the way you like it. If you're expecting a "fine" restaurant, this isn't the place for you. Rustic and delicious! 👍

Delicious food, very nice beer garden and great service.

I ended up here by chance and am absolutely thrilled. The service was very quick, friendly and didn't say no to a quick chat. The food was extremely tasty, freshly prepared and absolutely reasonably priced. The view of the riding arena from the restaurant offers great entertainment even for someone traveling alone. Conclusion: I can only recommend everyone to take a look here.

Die VSG Castrop-Rauxel war nach einer Wanderung mit 37 Leuten hier essen.Es hat allen sehr gut geschmeckt.

Haben mit 40 Personen dort privat gefeiert. Buffet war einfach und sehr lecker! Bedienungen waren trotz des Andrangs und der später werdenden Stunde sehr höflich und immer aufmerksam und sehr flott. Aussenterrasse und Innenräume mit Sitzplätzen und Stehtischen so gestaltet, dass es nicht zu eng wurde.

Super rustikal und dennoch liebevoll! Das Putenschnitzel mit Champignons ist wirklich einer der Besten, die ich gegessen habe! Wir kommen mindestens einmal im Monat und sind jedes Mal glücklich. Zu Weihnachten gibt es immer einen Brunch, der mehr als empfehlenswert ist.
