A centrally located nice restaurant, with a good selection. The only points of criticism I have are the furnishings, which sometimes looked a bit cheap, and the menu, which doesn't focus much on vegetarian dishes. Overall, it more than deserves 4/5 stars. For the full 5 stars I miss the last perfections.

Lahmacun was very tasteless, there was almost no minced meat on it and the employees were rude. Don't stop by if you don't want to regret it 👍🏻

Food is very fresh and delicious! A lot of greens and meat - fresh and tasty! Love this place to warm up - it has hot tea and various alcohol drinks.

Since we come from out of town, we made reservations online in good time. However, about 2 weeks before our visit, the reservation was canceled by the restaurant without giving any reason. When we asked by phone, we were told that online reservations for that evening had been canceled, but they took ours over the phone and confirmed that we could come. However, when we arrived at the reserved time, we found out that there was no reservation for us. This one unsuccessful attempt to visit the restaurant will remain that way.

If you want to sit in the stink, like cold food and don't use the toilet, I might not give it five stars, my order wasn't implemented and therefore the price/performance ratio is disproportionate.

We would like to thank Mr. Veysel for the very good, impeccable and friendly welcome and service. After four months we are back here in Berlin and of course we also come to Hatay Ocakbaşı. Although Mr. Veysel is off today, we can confirm our assessment from back then, this time through İsmail and his colleagues. Always very happy!

As a Hatay native, I was very pleased with the food, desserts and service at Hatay Ocakbaşı in Berlin. It will definitely be a repeat and of course I will recommend it with pleasure.

The menu is average and the atmosphere is nice. You can feel like you are in Turkey. Orders are received quickly, but they arrive very slowly (late). The flavors are not bad. We asked for tea after the meal, the waiter left, came back 5 minutes later and said, "Your tea is just brewing, let's serve coffee." We said okay, and the coffees came 15 minutes later. We said let's ask for the bill and it would come late, but it came right away. Just when we thought their service was fast, he took the bill and left, and we waited another 5-10 minutes for the change...

The place we gave up going in because of the people in front of the door. Unfortunately, it is not clear whether it is a fireplace or a bar.

The food is very fresh and delicious. The meat, sauces and salads are really high quality! Unfortunately the staff's service is very mediocre. We were shown to the entrance without any explanation, even though we had a reserved table in the middle. The menu was also not up to date because cocktails and soups were not offered. As a customer, I would like to be informed about this in advance or to cover the menu with dishes/drinks that are not available. I'll be happy to come back for dinner with my friends, but when it comes to service staff, it's best to think for yourself and follow your lead.

The manager was very friendly but I couldn't try the food because they only accepted cash in a restaurant with a minimum of 30 euros per cover...disappointing

Very disappointed with our experience here. We were told everything was fully booked without a reservation, but our friend without children was seated immediately. Felt unfair and family unfriendly.

Excellent food and large portions for a reasonable price. The restaurant was very lively and servers were very welcoming. I underestimated the portion size, otherwise I would've tried some of their desserts as well.

Delicious Turkish food in a great atmosphere. Unfortunately the service was a bit unfriendly and not very attentive.

Today I visited the Hatay restaurant with my guests from Potsdam, but unfortunately our experience did not live up to expectations. As soon as we entered the restaurant, the head waiter's attitude was cold and rude; he avoided eye contact and placed the plates very roughly on the table. Unfortunately, when I politely asked if there was a problem, I received no response. In addition, the dessert was served without sugar. The dishes were also cold and disappointing in taste. Because of this negative experience, I will not visit Hatay Restaurant again.

Employees at the snack stand were very unfriendly and overwhelmed. The kebab tasted much better before.

This was my first stop in Berlin. I went to Adana for kebab and appetizers. The atmosphere was really good. A calm environment, as we expect from a Turkish restaurant. The staff was also really attentive. Adana kebab was a bit disappointing. The flavor was good but the meat was tough. Apart from that, we ordered pepper paste and oruk and they were delicious.

Tonight we came a long way to go to Hatay restaurant from afar. A very rude waiter walked us out and said that we were closed without giving any reason even though there were no customers. Special evening, you are very rude. I will never visit a place with such a rude and ugly attitude again

This place is worth taking the time to leave a review. There may be many Turkish restaurants nearby, but this one stands out. It's as delicious as it's beautiful. We already scheduled a second visit.

Even in Turkey, I never had such an unbelievable lamb. Best in the universe. 100/10

Döner was not available, even though it was early evening. Tomato was half charred. Service didn't say a word more than necessary and seemed rushed even though it wasn't busy. The table was already cleared and cleaned by two people at the same time when we had barely finished the food. Felt very uncomfortable and did not give the impression that there was room to order another dessert.

A good Turkish restaurant with some tasty food. The waiter even served me a doner kebab from the next door kebab shop (owned by the same company) but allowed me to eat inside with the others in my group.

Food ok, not outstanding but large portions nice

The food tastes just great and the real thing about the salad. We only ordered one main course and one starter and struggled with the amount of food. IN MY opinion the bread basket was completely unnecessary. But it's good that it is provided. There were plenty of yogurt creams available Delicious. The service was equally courteous and attentive. The ambience - I actually couldn't decide, it seems quiet but a bit unregistered. Maybe it was the color combination or mix of materials. But everything seems clean and well-kept. I would like to highlight this in particular because wedding... have lived here long enough..

I would prefer not to give a star. An absolute disgrace. We reserved online and arrived on time. We were turned away right in front of the door with the reason that online reservations didn't work. There was no reference to it anywhere. An absolute disgrace!!! I drove there for over an hour, then simply sent home. There wasn't even a look or search for options. I will never enter the store again. Super unsympathetic service at the door. Stay away from the store.

We came from Diyarbakır with my friends, I have never eaten such a good doner kebab anywhere. Portions are pretty big. The employees are very kind and polite, the appetizers are legendary, the tea is served afterwards, we can't give a million out of ten.

A week ago I was there for the first time with my friends who have already visited the shop several times and were very satisfied. I have to say it is over the top very good. I ate chicken dürüm. The meat was very soft and you can taste the grilled flavor and the dürüm Also very well made, I ate a delicious dürüm for the first time. Service was very friendly. Tea tastes perfect, just like a Turkish tea should be. From now on we are there every week and I think weekends with live music are great. clean loading.👍🏼🥰

We bumped into this turkish restaurant by accident. The food was fresh and delicious and we got big portions. One of the best turkish restaurant where I've ever eaten. Suggested place.

Don't recommend at all!! Racist Turkish waiter against arab!!! We had reservation at 8:00PM today when we arrived at the restaurant the waiter was rude and said to us the table is full!!!!!

We were looking for a Turkish restaurant during our visit to Berlin and ended up here. We each had a starter and a main course and then Turkish coffee and raki. Our conclusion: Outstandingly delicious food in a great ambience and really attentive and fast staff. And that even though the store was full to capacity. We can fully recommend the restaurant!

We had confirmed bookings for the restaurant which were cancelled on the day, we were able to book again online and again the booking was cancelled with no explanation.

Restaurant located directly at Checkpoint Charlie. Doesn't have much space, so you need to make a reservation. Unfortunately there is no outdoor area. Food was very good, you can watch it being prepared. There is no parking available, so it's best to come by bus or train. The service didn't always keep up, but was very friendly.

Fantastic place with insanely delicious food, good service and just a little extra with it all. They gave some extra salads on the house and suddenly brought a water container with a light that steamed white steam all over the table. It gave a lively and fantastic atmosphere. Can be highly recommended.

Visited this Turkish grill house with friends from South Germany. The food was generally good - I had the Iskender, while my friends enjoyed chicken tavuk and chicken breast salad. The timing of our meals was off, with mine arriving much earlier, which was a bit inconvenient. My friend liked her dish but found the salad overdressed. However the Kunefa was outstanding! The staff was friendly, and the drinks were okay, though I missed having homemade lemonade as an option. Despite some room for improvement in food timing and salad preparation, it was an overall pleasant experience. The restaurant offers a satisfying taste of Turkish cuisine in a casual outdoor setting around the corner of Checkpoint Charlie.

Everything was perfect as always. I especially love the atmosphere of the place. I continue to recommend it to everyone around me :) I would especially like to thank Onur Bey for his interest and interest.

The restaurant is modern and comfortably furnished. The service is friendly. The food is grilled on a charcoal grill, which can be seen through a large glass panel. The mince is spicy and juicy, the yoghurt is creamy and full-bodied. The chicken is fine. The women's room is strange. The seat is very, very high. The lid holder was defective. Some edge tiles are missing. Cleanliness and smell are fine.

One of the best Turkish food I have had outside of Turkey. İcli Köfte and salad were extremely delicious, same with all the lamb dishes. We will visit there again definitely.

Spontaneously decide to have dinner there. Great atmosphere, everything was clean. Good selection of dishes. In terms of price, hmm, welcome to Berlin, but starters salad included. But why, as a German in Germany, all the waiters in a Turkish restaurant speak English remains unanswered for me forever... 🤷🏻‍♂️... but the food is fresh and handmade.

The meats are delicious, cooked well with a smoky taste. The hummus is smooth and creamy. Service is average. They will bring out dry ice to every table and make smoke. A little gimmicky but interesting. Food is very good overall. We spend about 71 euros or $80 for two people with 2 platters, hummus, a beer with tip.

Authentic ambience and friendly welcome. Unfortunately, the starters were forgotten and the side dish for the main course arrived minutes before the actual meal. Food was okay, but wouldn't justify a repeat visit in my opinion.

Everywhere I go I try at least one Turkish restaurant. I haven't been able to eat Turkish food properly for years. Here, at Hatay Ocakbaşı in the Kreuzberg district of Berlin, my wife and I had a really good meal, it was a culinary tour de force: a karışık ızgara (mixed meats prepared on charcoal) and Adana kebap. Not pricey, really affordable, €25 pp.. the meat was well cooked and tender, as it is prepared in the Hatay province in Turkey. We also drank Tekirdağ Raki (€41 for half a bottle). A young man named Onur served in the ministry. Thanks for the Turkish tea Onur!!! Hope to see you next time, I'll be back in Berlin in October..

Very nice air conditioned interior. But no parking spaces.

Had dinner there with my girlfriend. The restaurant itself is really good, you can sit outside and inside. But the service is very bad. My girlfriend's food came quite quickly and I had to wait another 10 minutes for my food. Normally it should be possible to bring two dishes to the table almost at the same time, but unfortunately not. When my food came it was also ice cold. My food had probably just been left on the counter and was therefore cold. I definitely wouldn't go there again and wouldn't recommend it to others.

The main dish came with a delicious salad. As main course we ordered Tavuk şiş und kmrişik Izgara which look so good and well cooked but the both were too bland( no salt, not spice, no sumak). The staff were good but they had too much delay although the restaurant was quite empty. We came here on Sunday for lunch.

Extremely delicious. Was warmly received. From the main course to the tea that was served, I felt completely at home. It was my first time trying Turkish cuisine.:) Thumbs up. If we are in Berlin again we will definitely come back.

I wanted to eat good lamb, but instead I got something different, which I didn't want because the lamb was supposedly not good (the others at the table got lamb). If you're just told what to do, you're not even asked...
