Very modern, yet pleasantly simple and cozy decor. The four of us chose from the entire menu (sushi, bowls, fried noodles, and rice noodle soup), and everything tasted delicious. The presentation was also very nice. The service was very friendly and quick. We'd gladly come back.

This restaurant is a hidden gem of Asian cuisine. From the very first bite, it was clear: the food here is prepared with passion, skill, and a refined sense of flavor. The pho was intense, balanced, and full of depth of flavor – every detail was perfect. The chicken dish absolutely delighted me with its freshness, balance, and aromatic complexity. The exterior gives little hint of the superb cuisine hidden within. The service was attentive, warm, and extremely courteous without being intrusive. A place that showcases just how authentic and artful Asian cuisine can be. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

You can eat Vietnamese food and sushi here. I've eaten there several times. All the appetizers are delicious. Curries are too. The quality and flavor are good. I wish this restaurant were around the corner from me.

I used to be completely unenthusiastic about sushi. So it was convenient that you could find something other than that here. But for me, punch bowls were just expensive salad bowls... Now I come here regularly to eat sushi, bowls, or gyozas. They're supposed to be really delicious, and the service is very attentive. The ambiance alone, with the rather awful background music from the WDR2 playlist, is a bit disappointing.

I was in Hilden for a seminar. During my lunch break, I wanted to check out the sushi restaurants, and I decided on Haruko. Around lunchtime, it was relatively relaxed despite the busy street. The servers seemed very relaxed but also very attentive. For starters, I had the summer rolls, which initially shocked me that they were so large (unlike other restaurants). I like them though 👍🏽 The sushi, maki, and breaded versions were very tasty and fresh. As a little visual treat, they served a nitrogen vapor on the plate. Even though I was alone, it was still prepared with attention to detail. The homemade iced tea was standard in taste. It tasted more like orange and water than iced tea. Nevertheless, there are several other drink options to choose from... Definitely worth a visit 👍🏽 :-)

So I'm overwhelmed. Great restaurant. Very tasty dishes and a huge selection. We were there for lunch today. The meat was “on point” and the sushi was delicious. Special requests are also taken into account. I give a clear recommendation and we would be happy to be guests again.

This is the best sushi and establishment we visited in Germany. The food is incredibly tasty, the portions are large, the presentation is impressive. Service at the highest level, very courteous staff, attentive, smiling. The atmosphere is friendly, calm and inviting. Definitely, we are now regular customers.

You get what you pay for There are a variety of (some newly opened) Asian restaurants in Hilden. Haruko is located in the former Green Papaya, an Asian restaurant that has been popular for several years. The successor has renovated the rooms in a modern and comfortable way - the lighting concept and the warm wood tones create an individual ambience - that stands out from the standard decorations of the Asian restaurants in the area. The food selection is extensive. In addition to the well-known "modular kitchen" - i.e. combinations of vegetable sauces and meat or fish - there is also a large selection of sushi and sashimi variations, all of which are freshly prepared at the counter. The price/performance ratio is good and it is therefore not surprising that the restaurant was very busy on a Wednesday evening. The dishes we ordered were also served freshly prepared - this requires a waiting time, which you should plan for when visiting. One of my long-time Asian favorites, chicken satay skewers with peanut sauce, couldn't keep up with previous culinary experiences: the lengthwise, thin strips of chicken breast seemed to me to be made of molded meat. I much prefer cubes of chicken meat with a bite and a recognizable texture. The peanut sauce also turned out to be a light beige, thin broth with tiny particles of peanuts - I remembered it being much thicker and more aromatic. My wife's miso soup was prepared well and flavorfully. My fried instant noodles with vegetables, sesame, herbs and peanuts were also very little "fried" and seasoned very sparingly - luckily soy sauce, wasabi paste and ginger were available. The grilled beef that was ordered with it puzzled me. The slices were pink on the inside but the texture and consistency indicated that they were in no way sirloin steak meat. The meat was tough and had to be chewed endlessly before I could swallow it - it reminded me of a dry slice of roast beef that was absolutely not suitable for grilling. The Sashimi Oceans Best impressed with good fish quality and deliciously seasoned sushi rice. The special sauce served with it left more question marks than a culinary impression. Our conclusion: Inexpensive Asian combination dishes with ingredients that, in our opinion, are cooked from very inexpensive ingredients - you get what you pay for. We've had much better Asian food in Hilden.

Unfortunately our visit was a disappointment. We waited a full two hours for our starter - absolutely unacceptable. Unfortunately, when the gyoza finally arrived, they weren't convincing either: they were dry and tasted more like cardboard than fresh ingredients. While the service was friendly, the long wait and disappointing quality of the food make it difficult to recommend this restaurant. Too bad!

Very good variety of Asian cuisine

I was particularly impressed by the cleanliness of the Haruko (especially in the toilets!). Add to that a stylish ambience, delicious food and fair prices – an all-round successful experience. Absolutely recommended!

New discovery for us in Hilden, we were always in Düsseldorf city to eat Japanese. We will come again, quality, service, the variation of the dishes...we were very satisfied.

The restaurant is located right on a busy street. Unfortunately there are no direct parking spaces here. The restaurant consists of one room. The decoration is quite overloaded and the room seems quite dark. This doesn't create a cozy atmosphere. The food is ok and served nicely presented. Unfortunately it is prepared with ready-made sauces. We heard that when we didn't want a dish to be spicy. Unfortunately, the sausages are also quite thin. Communication is not that optimal because the staff is not easy to understand. This also makes the combination seem unfriendly. My conclusion: It's ok to order and take away. But no recommendation to visit a cozy restaurant

Great food and we were able to get a place at short notice. The prices are also really good (especially compared to Düsseldorf, where you pay more for less quality). Unfortunately, the service was really slow and our waitress had a very cold - I would like sick employees to be able to recover instead of coughing into the food.

Great food and great service... If you want to eat high-quality, fresh and light food, Haruko is the right place for you. We ordered a mix of starters (crispy rolls and special rolls) and main courses (salmon with vegetables and rice and tagliatelle with vegetables and tofu). All dishes were very high quality and super tasty! For dessert we chose Panna Cotta Haruko and Matcha ice cream, also very tasty! The various teas and mixed milk drinks that we drank were freshly prepared and very nicely presented. The service is very, very friendly and totally attentive. We spent a really great evening in a nice atmosphere at Haruko and went home full and very satisfied. We'll definitely be back!

We went to Haruko's for the first time today and were really impressed. The quality of the food is excellent, you can taste the fresh ingredients and also that there is an expert behind the stove. Absolutely authentic and very finely and cleverly seasoned. Price performance is absolutely appropriate for what is on offer. We had a starter plate for two people, a pho (actually the best we've tasted so far) and curry coconut chicken with duck and vegetables. Definitely not the last visit for us.

Another nice visit with friends to the HARUKO restaurant. There were four of us there on a weekday and the restaurant was very busy, which challenged the service a bit and extended the usual waiting times. All the dishes were very tasty and tastefully prepared. We had cold and warm dishes and all were of very good quality and freshly prepared. In my opinion the prices are very reasonable for the quality. We look forward to many more visits.

I/we always enjoy coming here. I think the food is extremely good. Very fresh, very tasty. Above all, there are dishes that you can't get everywhere. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The first time we were there, it was a real WOW experience. (Unfortunately, you get used to good things far too quickly. ;-) )

We had sushi, gyoza and a bowl and the food was good but not exceptional. The sushi cannot be compared with the (good) sushi restaurants in Düsseldorf, but the price/performance ratio is right. However, the service was subpar. First no one came to serve us, then we had to wait over an hour for our food and finally we weren't even asked if we would like more drinks or dessert (we would have liked both). It's a shame, the restaurant definitely has potential!

I was there for the first time and accompanied a friend, actually not hungry. But I got carried away by the ‘baked rolls’. Suuuuppper delicious and the icing on the cake is how the whole thing is presented. Of course, this is not a rustic, cozy room, but rather puristic. Gladly again.

We had to wait 30 minutes until the waitress came to take the drinks and another 20 minutes until the drinks came. After we were finally able to order the food, we had to wait another 40 minutes for the food.

Very nice shop with good, tasty food. The service is very friendly and the portions are also generous. So the price-performance is good. The only drawback: when it's full, the food takes a long time. But we'll definitely be back.
