Happy’s Sports Bar in Grafenwöhr

A little disappointed in the quality of food and service. We were looking forward to trying this place based on recent reviews & pictures, but it did not live up to expectations. My wife was unable to eat all of her BBQ wings because they were spicy, my pizza barely had any toppings, & we were charged for a side of sauce we didn’t receive. They accept cash & card, but charge 1€ for a card transaction. Very over priced for chicken & pizza, there are several cheaper options in the area with better quality and service. We didn’t get offered a high chair for our toddler, we assumed they didn’t have any since it’s a sports bar so we sat him on a chair, but saw them in the front room on our way out. Server had an attitude because I gave a small tip due to being unhappy with the food and service and threw the card machine behind the bar after I paid. My wife could see into the kitchen on multiple occasions and was a little concerned with how some of the staff presented themselves (wearing sweatpants, no aprons, gloves, etc.) and storing food next to cleaning products. Just moved to Germany and will most likely never eat from this location again while stationed here unless we’re starving and everything else is closed. If you’re looking for a place to have a beer and watch the game while eating low quality, deep fried food, then I guess this is your spot.

Heard great things, ordered a cheeseburger with fries, onion rings, jalapeno poppers and 10 wings to go and was told a 1 hour and 30 minute wait at 730. After about an hour and 45 minutes I called for an update and they said he was just leaving but he had to go to Vilseck first even though I live 10 mins away. It was then 9:50 and I still had not received my order and I called them and they said he had to make one more stop before coming, but we just canceled our order because it was already so late.

The hour we waited outside the door because we arrived early was definitely worth it and the food was so delicious. Especially the chicken wings, the best I've ever eaten! We'll be back

Ordered 1 Pepperoni Pizza to take away yesterday evening (first time). So what can I say? Definitely not the last time! It tasted so yummie! Staff super friendly. See U soon.

Food was delicious, would go anywhere else, the bartenders were so nice, they were on it with timing and everything.

The service is super nice and makes great cocktails. The burgers are so delicious. The food at all. We always like to come back.

Food is the best american food around. Service was great! I always take great care of the servers cuz they are fabulous. They also are a soccer club so u can watch games on the field attached to them. They have games on TV's and fast delivery as well. They are in front of a beautiful lake so it's got an amazing view! It's tucked away but it's a gem!

Happy's is a great place for anyone looking to enjoy fresh cooked burgers and have a beer. I also like that they got the sports bar section where you can watch games and mingle up with your friends. It is also good to know that it is veteran owned.

Delivery Order Review. Got the XL Pizza and the Signature burger with egg. Great service, food, and delivery time especially to on post Vilseck. Will definitely order again and visit actual location.

My Husband and I were visiting the area for the first time today and we had such a great experience here and it had such a good vibe. The wings and burgers were delicious! The service was great and the owner had no problem answering my silly question about who he cheer for more. (Georgia or Florida…he had both on the wall).

It echoes like the train station, even though it's not big. The service was super friendly. The portion was sufficient. Even the dog was welcome.

Was looking for something simple and definitely got it, although I could not decide between pizza and wings, so I got both... plus fries. Was planning on taking a to-go box, but it was good! Sorry I didn't get a picture of the pizza. I was also able to watch a football ⚽️ match as I ate with a crowd of people who were interested in the game yelling at the TV like a normal sports bar!

Simply really delicious food and great value for money. Orders don't take long and the service is great.

I ordered for delivery before and food was amazing, the bacon cheeseburger and a large pizza were really good, so we decided to go dining in today since we knew food was going to be good. But we were a little disappointed of our experience. We got burgers and my husband ordered a Mojito and it was not good, he couldn’t drink more after the first sip and we still had to pay for it.Burgers and fries were good but it didn’t tasted like the last time. ☹️

Super cool place. Food is pretty good, service is great, decorations are sick, however I do wish they'd space out the drinks, starters, main course and sides. All came out at once. Overall it was a decent experience, felt a little like America I enjoyed the Mac n cheese (if you're not interested in homemade Mac n cheese, I'd say it's not for you), the burgers were great (tastes like your uncle made it at the cookout), fries were great, mozzerella sticks great, but I do have a few things to say.;I wish there was an appetizer sampler, I wish the buffalo wings weren't somewhat sweet (never had sweet buffalo sauce in America), and I wish the prices weren't so expensive. I understand inflation, and maybe even commercial (as well as residential) rent being expensive in the Grafenwöhr area, but the prices are very reflective of those in the Grafenwöhr area, which I cannot appreciate, especially due to the owners being veterans; veterans shouldn't take advantage of service member's paychecks, enough vendors in Grafenwöhr already do that. Don't skip dessert tho. Churros bussin'.

It took more than two hours to deliver the food I originally ordered. 3 hours later, I messaged them on WhatsApp to see how long it would take, only to find that they had not even informed me that the driver had driven back to the bar. I asked if I could pick up hoping the food would be hot or at least ready to go. Neither the food was hot nor was it ready for pickup in a to go bag. I wondered if they delivered to all because they say the do delivery but latered informed not Eschenbach because it was out of limits. I figured Netazberg was under Eschenbach and apparently wasn’t. Overall food presentation and communication were poor. The food was cold and I even asked if it was hot and it wasn’t. This was my first experience here and it was given a bad impression. The communication could have definitely been handled better and could make that they don’t deliver exactly to certain areas. Wait times for delivery are long so recommend just picking up instead.

AMAZING food! If you’re looking for good American style food this is your place. From the decor to the recipes it felt like home. I’m visiting Germany for a short while and was craving some good food. This place did not disappoint, the wings were so good it seemed like they were smoked! The chicken burger and fries were also great. Food came out quick and sever was friendly from the time I walked into the door. A plus was that there was plenty of parking! That seems to be scarce around here.

Being from the East Coast, I do miss my New York style pizza. This place filled that void! We ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch, and it was absolutely delicious. I would 💯 recommend.

It's my favorite place to go when I am craving American sports bar food! My favorite thing to order is the ranch dressing with anything!😅 Usually, we get wings, fries, and mozzarella sticks. The service has always been top! I definitely recommend this place!

This place should rename itself to un-happy because that’s how I felt when I left . Service took forever . Pizza tasted like it came out of a box . If u want to good pizza this is not the place

My family and I been here for three years and this is our first time trying this establishment because we are at a hotel located in Graf because we are flying back stateside. Let just say we definitely missed out on a good one. Best pizzas around and THEY DEFINITELY KNOW HOW TO COOK THEIR WINGS. Keep up the good work my fellow vet!!!!!

Happys is one of my favourite places to go for a relaxed night out with friends, the wings are great get them every time!! The drinks are amazing nice and strong! The environment is chill and relaxed and the staff is always so friendly!! Highly recommend if you want a nice place to chill kick back and have a few drinks!

Little slice of the US in small-town Germany

The best experience ever! Shantee and Corinna were the best!! A great atmosphere! Especially the shots and the throat cutter, a must try!!

There are such great people here. The food is excellent and so is the service. Shantee is a very good waitress. She always has a great attitude and she has taught me some German.😂 Corinna is the same way. She always has an excellent attitude and is always checking on folks.

Shantay is the best bartender 10/10 will burn your mouth with shot roulette 🤣 definitely will be back!

Das Essen war gut und die Bedienung war schnell und freundlich. Es war ein ungewöhnlicher Ort für mich, wirkte sehr amerikanisch. Ich werde eines Tages wieder hierher zurückkehren, wenn ich in der Gegend bin.

For America style bar food it's as close as you'll probably get out here. The wings are great, pizza better than others out here, burgers are alright.

I’ve been searching for over a year for some good American food and have finally found it!! I’m a big sports bar hopper in the states…this bar gave me a little piece of home away from home!

Asked for churros, they said they would not deliver them. We received our food and it was amazing. best pizza and wings for delivery in the graf/vilseck area. it was so good we wanted more and i yet again asked for churros. i complained that i wanted their churros and they said they were worried hey would be soggy once delivered. Were received our second order and they sent it with free churros. they were not soggy at all. they were amazing and they made my life worth living. 5/5 best pizza and wings around. i dont know why they are afraid of delivering churros. fantastic service. super friendly. better pizza than cheers or black and white or any other pizza joint around.

Ive been here multiple times and always find the place very easy to like. The staff are attentive and friendly, quick service and a normal wait time for food. Relaxing atmosphere with sports on TV (hard to find). I mostly get the hot or buffalo wings and can’t fault them. Taste great! Nice sauce and a decent level of hotness. As a Bonus, my wife loves the strawberry Margarita.. the only reason I am allowed to go to the bar. 😁 Thanks Happys #HappysMakesMeHappy

My coworker and I ordered delivery from Happy’s while we were at work and it was so good we had to order more! Burgers and wings are amazing! Being an American living in Germany this was truly a taste of home!! Good American comfort food in Germany is so hard to come by and Happy’s came through and then some! Will be ordering again & often! 🙂

I gotta say the whole experience was amazing and what made it amazing was our beautiful waitress named Krissy. She was so cool and funny and the food was nothing to complain about either. The drinks were good and the service was better!

Pizza was good, server was friendly and easy on the eyes. Loves the mojitos!

Every now and again this place gets slammed, but usually there's open tables, and a wrap-around porch with seating as well. The deck looks over a lake, and the vibe inside is distinctly American. It's out-of-the-way enough to be calm and not packed full of Privates like a lot of other places in the area. Good beer, fantastic food, and American sports. It's about as good as it gets here when you're looking for a taste of home (for Americans). In the Grafenwöhr area, this is by far my favorite place to go. As a bug plus, Happy's delivers on post when you're feeling lazy (no alcohol, of course). Compared to real 5-star bars with obnoxious prices and long wait lists, this place is a 2.5-3, but that doesn't do them justice to compare them to bars and clubs hundreds of miles or even countries away. In the local market: 5 stars all day, every day. Friendly and helpful staff, great sorts-bar vibe, beautiful view, awesome food, and a fantastic experience overall.

My definite go to place for dinner any time I am in or passing through the area. A absolute place to go with a nice lake view, huge TV's, the service is amazing and the food is the best in the area!
