Delicious burgers, disappointing service. We ate here on a weekday, and the restaurant wasn't full. However, the wait times before we could order and then for the food itself were quite long. Unfortunately, they were out of fries at 7 pm, so I ordered coleslaw with my burger. I wisely ordered the burger well-done. When the food arrived, however, my burger patty was still very raw. The coleslaw never came. I complained about the burger, which was replaced. Unfortunately, the coleslaw still didn't arrive, and the small portion that usually comes with a burger was also missing. Only when I was already halfway through eating the burger did I get the chance to mention that I no longer needed the coleslaw, but would at least like the sample portion, like everyone else. Unfortunately, I was apparently misunderstood, and a large coleslaw was eventually served... Several people at our table ordered a second drink after the meal. An hour later, these orders still hadn't arrived, and we paid without having received them. Overall, the service seemed overwhelmed and not particularly motivated. Often, they arrived at our table with the wrong drinks or food, only to discover that the order was for someone else. The restaurant could have generated significantly more revenue from us if we had only been given the opportunity. I should mention, however, that the burger was very tasty. Update: It seems rather mysterious that the heating system suddenly breaks down around the same time every winter. In January 2025, we had to eat wearing jackets because the heating was supposedly broken, and now it's happened again in January 2026?! This seems quite odd. If the heating system is indeed so prone to failure, something urgently needs to be done…

I returned after several years and I must say, what a surprise! The place has even improved. The service was great and friendly, the food arrived quickly, and we were all satisfied. Unfortunately, it was quite cold inside, and the prices are rather high if you're still hungry after a burger and fries. For that price, I'd like to leave the restaurant feeling full. I found the salad in the tiny bowl ridiculous. However, the homemade dips were commendable. Overall, a good impression!

Unfortunately, the Hulk Fries didn't impress me. The sauce was very overpowering, making the fries look rather soggy – I had expected something different. The restaurant was a bit chilly because the heating was broken, which the friendly staff had informed us about beforehand. Overall, the service was very pleasant, and we were seated quickly. The burgers other guests were enjoying, however, looked really good.

Delicious food including vegan options, friendly staff, stylish interior design, and on a nice day, a walk around the Röhrensee lake after your meal is highly recommended. Ordering via QR code is now possible, which is incredibly convenient; however, the payment options for QR code payments are still somewhat limited.

Extremely cold. There's a curtain hanging in front of the open door, but it doesn't help at all.

Unfortunately, the service was practically non-existent. The staff only came to take orders, bring the food, and collect payment; no one checked if everything was okay. The burgers were cold again, but tasted good. The fries were also good, but lukewarm. The dips were still far too small. The heating is currently broken, and it was very cold! Eating with a jacket on wasn't ideal. As compensation, they offered a free hot drink, which took a good 15 minutes to arrive. Sadly, another disappointing visit.

The food is a 10/10 and the cocktails are really delicious too. We were there during the week, and service was really quick. The only thing that bothered me a little was the draft by the window. We'll definitely come back, even though it's a bit pricey.

So, it was actually a very nice evening at Hanskaschberg. The ambiance was a bit too dark for my taste. I ordered sweet potato fries to go, but unfortunately, I got regular fries. I can only give it 3 stars because the server promised twice that they would take care of my sweet potato fries. After half an hour, I thought I'd ask where my fries were. And to my dismay, all I got was, "Oh, I forgot to mention that the kitchen was already closed." I was then left standing there without any compensation. I'm not a fan of that, unfortunately. The drinks were tasty, which helped to make it seem less bad. I'll definitely come back because the burgers are really great 🍔.

We were there for a company party and were served extremely kindly by a lovely young lady :) In general, all the staff were very friendly and attentive. The food arrived quickly and was delicious :) All in all, I can highly recommend Hanskaschberger :) If I'm ever in Bayreuth again, I'll definitely come back.

It could have been a comfortable 5 degrees Celsius in the restaurant. I ordered coleslaw and received cabbage soup. I wouldn't recommend the fries. The burger was overloaded with onions.

We had some really good burgers here. I have to say, they have some of the best burgers in the region. 🙂 We like coming here, although we rarely do because it's relatively expensive.

The kitchen closes at 9 p.m., we arrive at 8:30 p.m., and there's nothing to eat! There's nothing more to say. If you decide to have a facility with a kitchen open until a certain time, you have to respect that.

For us, it's always worth the 30km drive. These are probably the best burgers you can eat in Kulmbach/Bayreuth. Online reservations are also possible for larger groups. The service is always friendly. Waiting times vary between 15 and 60 minutes depending on the number of customers. Totally acceptable. Only the prices are on the higher side. But if you want something good, you have to pay accordingly. My tip: From Dusk Till Burn ;) Highly recommended!

Simply super delicious. We had the Strawberry Virgin Mojito, Pink Hibiscus Lemonade, the Pink Pulled Chicken Burger, and the Chocolate Bubble for dessert, and it was all amazing. Plus, the ambiance is super nice and the staff is soooo sweet 😍. It's a shame we live so far away.

My partner and I are regulars at this restaurant. Simply because the burgers are really good, and we hope things get better. You can't really rely on getting the same quality again (in either direction). Sometimes the avocados on the burger are completely unripe, sometimes the burgers are cold, sometimes the sour cream is too salty. Today it wasn't busy, but the service was as bad as you could possibly get. The wrong food, drinks were missing, my partner's meal took a long time to arrive (he did get his after asking), and there was no cutlery. What's also interesting is the way the side dishes are labeled on the menu: "With burger 5.90" "Without burger 7.90." The fact that these are different portion sizes isn't mentioned. You're misled into thinking you're saving money by having a burger. Better to choose the 7.90 version and share (if there are two of you ;)). (€5.90 for a lemonade with 70% ice cubes is also overpriced)

I highly recommend this restaurant. The place is beautifully decorated and offers plenty of space. It's best to make a reservation in advance. The food is super delicious, and the lemonades are also very good. The staff is friendly. Unfortunately, we had to wait a while for someone to pay. My mojito was too sour for my taste.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend it, despite the great atmosphere and prime location. We left the restaurant after 20 minutes because we weren't served, despite having a table reservation. The same thing happened to other guests.

We had a hamburger with coleslaw and sweet potatoes, as well as the kids' nuggets. The burger and coleslaw were mediocre, rather bad. The nuggets, on the other hand, were delicious.

From the very beginning, we loved Hanskaschber, and we're generally impressed by the product and ambiance. What's very disappointing at the moment are the reservations. Even if you book well in advance and ask for a table on the terrace, you arrive and are directed to indoor tables. Sometimes even when there are still free tables outside. Or, unfortunately, like today: a group of 6 can't sit outside. The terrace isn't that small; you could simply move tables together, like other restaurants do, or book a large table outside well in advance. At least some information that a terrace seat isn't available would be nice, because then we'd probably rather go somewhere else today.

We made a reservation. Very friendly staff, approachable and attentive. No long wait for the food. I really like the decor—modern, no-nonsense. I had a burger, which was super tasty and beautiful to look at. The drink was also nicely decorated and refreshingly delicious. I'd love to come back👍🏼

Rip-off sauces (ketchup, mayo, etc.) for the first meal order: 50 cents each, 1 euro each for subsequent orders. Food tasty, but not outstanding, normal portions. Service was below average: Long wait for a high chair and only when requested, long wait to order, long wait for the bill, multiple requests necessary, and all this with few people at the table. A disaster with small children.

Just ordered (1 burger, 1 pulled pork nugget, sweet potato fries, 2 sour creams). For the umpteenth time, the sour cream was forgotten, of course, we didn't notice until we got home. Also, four out of five nuggets were burnt (literally black). On top of that, the food was ordered for 6:00 PM, but I have to wait until 6:15 PM for it to be ready. This was my last attempt at this place.

The restaurant is beautifully situated on the riverbank and is beautifully decorated. The terrace is especially inviting in the summer. The food and drinks are of a very high standard, which makes the higher prices justifiable. The burgers are generous, extremely tasty, and beautifully presented. The fries are the best I've ever had.

So I have to share my experience here because we were really disappointed. First of all, there was a group of 7 of us and we had reserved a table the day before. When we arrived everything was great, drinks arrived really quickly, then our food order was taken. I told you 1 3/4 hours, so we had to wait almost 2 hours. We asked twice how long it would take and twice we were told our food would be ready in 5 to 10 minutes. Yes, OK, that turned out to be another half hour. We ordered at 7.30pm and got our food at 9pm. Wow, we were almost not hungry anymore and about to leave. When I asked nicely whether there would be some kind of compensation for such a long wait, she reacted really annoyed. Then she went into the kitchen and came back and said she could negotiate with the manager so that the two people who had a menu would get a discount but the other 5 people wouldn't?! .... um, yeah, it's not like we all waited that long. But there's nothing you can do about that. It's just the way it is. The food was delicious, but the rest, well, that was our first and last time. It wasn't a total mess, so you'd say it's understandable that it took so long. Something just went terribly wrong. The service really needs to be improved. Thank you.

We've been here a few times over the past few years. Standard burgers. The price/performance ratio isn't right. If you can't get the doneness right, then please don't offer it medium. Two weeks ago, four burgers were raw. The few times before that, they were always well done. Not easy with ground beef. But it should work for that price. The positive thing is that you can taste the quality of the meat, especially when it's raw. Still a no-go. We know the problem with waiting times all too well. Only my wife is always satisfied with her chicken burger. She also quite likes the sodas. Her review is much better. The city beach is definitely a little eye-catcher.

You're ignored, you keep asking. It's no fun. One table is occupied, and everyone seems to be in the kitchen—no, never again.

Unfortunately, I'm not very satisfied with the restaurant, although I'd like to emphasize that this has nothing to do with the waiters; the service was always perfectly fine. The food is also okay, nothing more, nothing less. However, we've been to Hanskaschber twice now, each time with a voucher that we couldn't redeem that day due to a technical problem. Things like that happen, but I expect a small compensation. And the same thing happening twice in less than half a year is a no-go for me and has already disappointed me. So, being careful with vouchers here; I would never buy them or give them away, because you might have to eat there several times until the stars align, and you don't pay yourself, but the voucher is actually accepted.

The Hulk Burger was generous and very tasty, the ingredients fresh. I wasn't asked how the meat was cooked. Otherwise, the service was super friendly, really great! The warm lighting was too dim for me. On the other hand, the decor is very cozy with the plants on the ceiling. And: in a burger restaurant, I expect at least ketchup on the table!

A very nice place for a burger joint, right by the Röhrensee lake. You feel comfortable and the service is very friendly. The wait was quite long (despite the packed place). The burger was tasty, but unfortunately only lukewarm. The fries were also cold and tasted a bit "flourish." That's a disappointment for over €20. At least they included a free drink. But I probably won't be back for a while.

I can't get any better than this - I'd gladly give you 6 stars. Jörg, in particular, who is very customer-oriented and with whom I was able to arrange a few things for the group in advance, impressed us with his enthusiasm, great service, and super delicious food. I would also like to highlight the waitress assigned to us that evening, who anticipated our every wish, was super attentive, and also had a great sense of humor 👌🏻! The food and drinks rounded off the whole experience wonderfully. The pictures say more about the ambiance than I can write 👍🏻. Jörg, thank you and the entire Hanskaschber team, also on behalf of the entire group. We will definitely be back. I'll be back in two weeks, at least, with family and friends. Keep it up 👏🏼!!!

Very disappointing! We booked a table for two on the balcony for Mother's Day. When we arrived they said the tables outside were only for 4 people. So they moved our reservation inside without telling us. The restaurant still had a lot of free tables both inside and outside and yet we had to wait 1:45 hours for our two burgers! No apology, just a “others have to wait too” came from the waitress. The lukewarm vegetable burger, which was described as having "freshly grilled vegetables", was also disappointing - there were four small slices of zucchini and two mini slices of carrots, none of which were grilled, just lightly steamed! The waitress said that the vegetables are never grilled. Then why is it written like that on the map? And especially for 13 euros??My homemade lemonade tasted like water! I then got a new one, apparently the siurp was empty. I felt absolutely ripped off considering the high prices. A soda 6 euros, a vegetarian burger 13 euros, fries another 6 euros, where are we here? Absolutely no recommendation! For me it's a complete rip off. Never again!

Reservation with the desire to sit on the terrace didn't work out because whoever comes first is only allowed to sit there (information on request) and there are only tables for 4 (two of us). Then took a seat at a table for two inside, colder than outside, so I put on my jacket first. Ordered 2 x homemade lemonade with watermelon, tasted like nothing and was three quarters full of ice cubes. Then ordered 2 x burgers with side dishes (these were delicious) at 5.40 p.m. (only a few tables were occupied at this point), waiting time 1 hour 30 minutes. At the neighboring table we got dessert on the house, but we got nothing, no apology or anything like that. Once again, no thanks.

Unfortunately I have to adjust my rating. Unfortunately, the amount for a burger with a side dish is really at the lowest limit. You just get so full here and for the rather higher price. The fried pulled pork "nuggets" for just under 8 euros as a side dish and then only 3 of them on the plate are simply not possible in my opinion and should have been increased to at least 6. Furthermore, all dishes were only lukewarm.

Overall we were satisfied, but remembered it better. It was very loud inside as there was a lot going on. Somehow it just wasn't comfortable due to the hustle and bustle and the noise. The homemade iced tea was very tasty - can be recommended. The burgers were okay, but not very special or outstanding. Our food was just warm, almost cold, which is a shame for burgers and fries - and especially for the price. Overall, it's actually a great restaurant, but the price-performance ratio isn't quite right anymore.

I was actually always so enthusiastic and enjoyed eating there, but in the last few months everything in the restaurant has been dismantled. Last night was the highlight... First of all - the waitress from southern Spain was super competent, friendly and open-minded - she really wasn't to blame for anything that happened - no doubt about it. Unfortunately, the white burger buns were far too greasy and tasted more like a sponge soaked in liquid butter. The boss's "new creation" - "chocolate pralines with fresh pineapple and pineapple ice cream" - tasted unbearably bad. Anyone who expected sweet chocolate pralines here was in for a treat, as sour "chocolate cakes" (probably pure baking cocoa) arrived in the form of balls, breaded in breadcrumbs, which were really obnoxious... For me, the absolute disappointment was just the shard of glass in my glass, which was now empty at the time of finding it... As compensation, I got a whole cocktail on the house, although of course I was also worried about having to make another bad discovery. But I didn't want to look anymore... In summary: AVOID! None of us are feeling well today, the day after, in terms of our stomachs and for the price it was an absolute disaster and of course a disgrace. Never again!!

Great shop. Great service. Unfortunately, you are discriminated against as a smoker here. It is not welcome on the terrace. I would have liked to continue to support this beautiful catering company. The atmosphere is very dark and rather uncomfortable. In the evening you feel like you are in a dark cave. In addition, the service is extremely unfriendly! The menu had ice cream with children's chocolate. But then there was cheap chocolate on the ice cream. When we were told that we didn't get what was on the menu, we were really scolded. Only after some discussion with the waitress did we get a bar of children's chocolate. The plate of children's chocolate was thrown onto the table with gusto. Absolute disgrace! That was the first and last time I was there!!!

An absolute recommendation for anyone who likes to eat burgers. The location has a clocky and modern flair - the terrace is a real dream. Friendly and courteous staff round off the visit.

As a pediatrician's office, we celebrated our New Year's party at Hanskaschber. They showed great commitment even in advance, and we received an absolutely delicious and extensive menu. The service was very friendly and accommodating, and we even had a private room for ourselves. We were completely satisfied and can only recommend the venue!

Four people were there in the evening. Unfortunately the food didn't come at the same time. We also waited longer for the drinks.
