The burgers were very good and had a fair price, unfortunately the fries weren't that good, but the dessert was also good. However, the service was terrible, when we arrived at 12 p.m. the place was almost empty and we still waited 5 minutes for our table. The service at our place was very slow, we waited over 30 minutes for our first burgers, and the service was also very slow.

Non existent service, worst burger I've had in Germany. Frozen beef patties and overcooked chicken, really can't find anyway to recommend it other than the decor inside was nice enough.

recently visited a burger place in central Stuttgart, and it was a great experience! The atmosphere was nice, and the design of the restaurant was really cool. The staff welcomed us warmly and provided excellent service.I ordered the smash burger, and it was super juicy and delicious. The chips were crunchy and tasty, too. Overall, I can say it's one of the best places for food in Stuttgart. Definitely worth a visit if you’re a burger lover!

The citizens themselves are OK in terms of taste but very, very small and very, very expensive, so you can get more for less elsewhere

I had reserved a table for 4 people. At the entrance there was a desk with a sign: Please wait. The desk was unoccupied. I went into the restaurant and spoke to a waiter. He sent me back. I should wait for Olli. After 4 minutes I spoke to him again as he was serving a table at the entrance. He got angry and gave me the freedom to leave again. They have a shortage of staff. We would have left if our friends hadn't already been at the table. We asked about this by phone. So we went back inside and now the waiter graciously condescended and showed us to the table. The restaurant is very cozy, the (other) service was nice and the food was delicious. However, the behavior at the entrance was completely unacceptable and inexcusable. If the lack of staff means that the guest has to wait alone at the entrance for minutes (without other guests being ushered in!), there is an organizational failure.

I really liked the staff. Friendly and welcoming. It's also worth noting that the food arrived quickly and you can come with a group of people with different preferences as the menu caters for different food preferences. This is very practical in our reality. ☺️ very friendly to children.

We ate here during the Christmas market season. The restaurant was relatively empty, which of course we saw as an advantage. We just found it a bit narrow to maneuver through with a stroller. In general you sit very crowded. Luckily we were given a space at the entrance and were able to park the stroller there and exchange it for a high chair. Food was good, but I was missing that certain something. But tastes are different. You can also use the gourmet block there, which was another incentive to come here. The toilets are way back in the restaurant. All in all we had a relaxing evening. 12/12/2024

While visiting Germany I felt hungry and wanted to get a burger instead of going to an American brand chain, I decided to come here and let me tell you, the food was delicious!! The food gave me the feeling of when I was a child going to Burger King/McDonals in the US but without the taste of plastic. My server was Eddie, he was super friendly, polite and knowledgeable of the different menu options. I’m definitely coming back next time I’m in the area!

The smash burger was super small and the fries were unfortunately a bit cold and not crispy at all. Addition: We informed the service person about the cold fries (they tasted as if they had been warmed up) and instead of replacing the dish, he poured some fresh and crispy fries over it. Of course, that didn't improve the rest of the fries.

Wanted to eat there yesterday. There were few guests in the restaurant. 3 operations. Nobody came to take the order. They preferred to talk to each other. Then we left without eating.

We have visited hans im gluck many times and have always enjoyed our time however our last visit was really bad. We understand the rush and how full the restaurant was and we were being very patient with the ordering process to get our order to receiving the bill but the guy serving us was extremely rude and very impatient. He was being very pushy and gave us a hard time throughout our dining time. Very unlike the experience we have usually.

I was traveling with two school colleagues in Stuttgart to visit universities. After an eventful day, during which we happened upon an Adidas event and even won a soccer ball, we became very hungry due to all the walking. My colleague Felix L. suggested visiting the “Hans im Glück” restaurant. There we decided on the lunch menu, which included a burger, a side dish, a drink and even a hot drink. The food was good and we enjoyed it, even if it didn't leave a lasting impression. What is particularly noteworthy, however, is the excellent price-performance ratio: for what you get, there is really no reason to complain. Conclusion: A good choice for an uncomplicated and inexpensive lunch. I would come back if I'm nearby!

Food and ambience good as usual. The service was below all cannon, we waited 20 minutes for the “service”. Then I went to the counter and was told my colleague would be there soon. Another 10 minutes later, the colleague in question came up and down, but first had to clear the other tables. When ordering, you apparently assumed that you were familiar with the procedure, because no recommendations were made and questions were answered sparsely. Sorry guys, but that's not possible these days! The guests' money is less, so I just expect decent service. This one at 3 p.m.! There was zero!!!

We had some burgers and fries, they are tasty, and the fries are crispy. We also had some beer and cocktails and the drinks are very affordable. The place has a nice and unique decoration which is a plus point! A nice option for dating for hanging out with friends.

This place is always our first choice to eat burgers. It has many vegetarian options as well and the burgers are so good. Highly recommend if you want to have yummy burgers.

Today we were happy again with Hans for a very long time and unfortunately we went home disappointed. I ordered the most expensive burger (Hochstappler for €16.90) on the menu (including fries and a drink). The burger was served lukewarm, the meat was unfortunately very dry and was reminiscent of McDonald's due to its consistency, color and shape, it simply looked like it came from the freezer. The quality of the fries has also decreased and the portions have become smaller. As a drink I ordered an iced tea with peach-lime. When it arrived I noticed that the glass was half filled with ice cubes. However, the taste was still good, but not justified for the price of €5.50. Unfortunately, our benches and the seat cushions were also full of stains from leftover food, which was simply disgusting. The staff was actually friendly, until the waiter asked us if everything was OK. I then gave him my honest opinion and he immediately became unfriendly. In the end we paid €94 for 4 people. In my opinion, the food is no longer of the standard of a restaurant, but rather of a canteen. Next time I'll go across the street to McDonald's and get the same thing for half the price.

Very tasty and the atmosphere was also very pleasant! However, the prices have been raised significantly and the lunch menu unfortunately no longer includes hot drinks!

Disappointing experience – never again! We were excited to visit this burger joint to have a bite to eat, but our visit was a complete disappointment. Due to an alleged system failure, we were sent out because the staff were unable to take orders with paper and pen - which was obviously done at one table. It seems that how to treat the guests is decided arbitrarily and according to whim. Customers were turned away at the door with the excuse that the system wasn't working and they should go somewhere else. For us it took a particularly long time before we were even informed - only after we asked several times when we could order. Such unprofessional behavior is absolutely unacceptable. We're definitely not coming back!
