Hans im Glück in Stuttgart

The food was very good – the vegan options were excellent. The cocktails were also very good and a bit more unusual. The service, however, was terrible. Twice, someone showed us to a table we had already reserved (which they only realized after we pointed it out). Some of the staff barely spoke German. We were seated right at the bar, where the staff were often joking around loudly – ​​a good atmosphere is certainly desirable, but having the same person startle you four times, each time with a loud scream, etc., really spoils the experience. The ambiance was nice, but the seating was very cramped (I constantly felt the back of the person behind me against mine).

Amazing, the best Hans im Glück I've ever been to! The service and kitchen staff were incredibly flexible and quickly accommodated our group of 20, and we only waited 15 minutes for our order. The fries were crispy and the burgers were outstanding! Props to the team and the kitchen!

I went to Hans im Glück in Stuttgart today to get a burger. Unfortunately, the whole experience was disappointing. The seating offered was an uncomfortable bench with no way to lean back. I ordered a Birkenwald Burger and a Double Smash Burger. The meat patty on the Birkenwald Burger was severely overcooked and completely tasteless, and the multigrain bun was dry and stale. The Double Smash Burger tasted slightly better, but the amount of meat was far too small for the price. Both burgers cost around €14 each (without fries) – the price-performance ratio is absolutely unjustified for the quality and portion size offered. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant. There are many other burger places in Stuttgart that offer significantly better quality and taste.

We went to Hans im Glück today and unfortunately it was our worst burger experience ever. The meat was completely dry, totally tasteless, and the portion was far too small for the price. Overall, the meal was disappointing and absolutely not worth the money. We are really disappointed.

We were here for dinner. The seating is quite cramped in places. The price-performance ratio is okay. The food was delicious, and the portions were just right. There's a huge selection of vegan and vegetarian burgers 🤘🏽 that are also very tasty. We used the Schlemmer Block discount booklet and saved a lot of money. The restaurant was quite full, so a reservation would be advisable for a party of four.

The food itself tasted good, however, we were treated badly and didn't get a goodbye simply because we didn't leave a tip...

I've been to several Hans im Glück restaurants before. I usually enjoy it. This time I had a friend with me who has to avoid gluten. I know they have gluten-free rolls at Milano, but unfortunately not here, which I find a bit disappointing. The food is definitely good, but the seats are a little uncomfortable.

A restaurant with a very instagrammable interior design and with overpriced dishes. Burgers are in small sizes, and come without any fries or salad (everything extra). Paid 55 euro for 2 burgers, one portion of fries and drinks.

Unfortunately, the service was very poor, which dampened the great experience. We had a coupon booklet that we had to point out before ordering. It always comes with a side dish. However, we weren't allowed to freely choose from the side dishes on the menu; instead, the waitress offered us fries, coleslaw, or a side salad. When we asked if sweet potato fries were possible (which are listed as a standard side dish and should have been included), the answer was, "Unfortunately, no." I received the same answer when I asked if we could perhaps get sweet potato fries for an additional charge. "No, and unfortunately, I'm too busy right now to ask." The place wasn't even half full. A real shame – obviously a service that doesn't care and doesn't WANT to address individual questions or customer requests.

We had burgers delivered via Uber. They were so delicious! The burgers were juicy but not soggy and still warm. Highly recommended!

The service was incredibly friendly and very attentive. Absolutely fantastic! The food was cold. The fries and burger were cold too, so we sent them back. More cold fries came, with a few lukewarm ones among them. The burger, or rather the patty, was warm the second time around. Sorry, the food just wasn't great! And the restrooms aren't great either. Sorry, we won't be back.

I've been back twice in a very short space of time for the first time in a very long time. It's gotten much better again! Not like it was in the beginning, but definitely much better than my last review, so I'm giving it two more points.

The benches are extremely uncomfortable. They're also extremely dirty. Service is extremely person-dependent. The food: defrosted burgers, please don't forget them. The decor is very nice. All in all, a quick, warm meal is doable, better than McDonald's; however, the price isn't worth it.

I was here with my girlfriend and a friend and she found a green worm in her burger. It was completely disgusting. At least they gave her a new burger and “checked this time”. The food was good but this was a completely unforgiving expirience.

Another disappointment in a long time. We waited forever for the food. The staff sometimes disappeared for minutes, and when they did, you had to speak to them directly. The burger tasted okay, hence the second star. The fries were ice cold. It was my last time there.

Well, the ambiance is truly a sight – a place packed with people, really cozy, almost like a fairytale forest. The burgers are juicy and well-topped, the fries are crispy, and the staff is quick and friendly. That's how I imagine it. But – in Swabian terms – cheap isn't exactly a good thing. A burger like that and a few side dishes are pretty good. You briefly think to yourself: "I could have grilled for my neighbors at home for that money." But honestly: It just doesn't taste that good at home. Bottom line: A bit pricey, but if you want to treat yourself to something decent, this is the place. And a Swabian's heart bleeds when paying – not when eating.

We stopped to see if they could make us some fries with cheddar to take away, he showed us the photo of the fries on the menu and charged us 7.90 for a portion of fries. After 2 minutes he comes back and tells me that the Cheddar is an extra and I have to pay another 1.90. In the end, almost 10 euros for a portion of fries. Never again.

We were there as a family on a Sunday afternoon! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was very friendly! And the best part was, our boys were allowed to choose something from the children's treasure chest. So, for us, it was a perfect Sunday afternoon.

The food arrived quickly and was okay. What was definitely impressive was the huge selection of burgers and sides. Paying took a little longer because the new employee apparently didn't pass on my request for payment to the more experienced server. However, the employee behind the counter was very attentive; he noticed and passed on our request. The price was okay, but it was already at the upper limit in terms of value for money.

"Hans im Glück" is recommended. There's usually space for 2 to 4 people. A new feature for me is the QR code on the table for ordering. It's very quick – especially when it's very busy. For example, during Pride Day. It was also really cool that my watch, which was left on the table, was sent to me. Thank you so much.

Twice we sat outside and twice we were told "no service outside." With temperatures over 30 degrees Celsius, we didn't want to go inside. It's a shame, as we can't get a good impression of this restaurant. There are plenty of other places in Stuttgart where you can go and be served outside.

The food was excellent, as always. The surroundings weren't quite right, which I'm not used to at Hans im Glück. The seating in the pedestrian zone isn't for me. People sometimes walk very close to the table, and not much is done about begging at the table, as the staff were rather absent. The restaurant wasn't full, but I did wait 10 minutes to even get the menu, another 10 minutes to order, and another 10 minutes to pay. If you offer outdoor seating, you should also take care of the guests there.

Very nice presentation, and the service was also excellent. The food arrived quickly, and the burger sauce and bun were good. Unfortunately, you could tell from the first bite that the patties were frozen. For me, this ruined the whole burger and was really hard to eat towards the end. At €15 for a burger, you should expect more. If you're going to act like a premium burger place, then the main ingredient of the burger (the patty) should at least be freshly ground. I have a stomach ache now; that was the last time.

More like "Hans without customer service"!! We wanted to visit the Hans im Glück restaurant today and waited with other guests at the designated spot by the entrance. Even after a long wait, none of the employees there felt the need to greet us or the other guests or assign us a table, even though the restaurant was almost empty. The employee who repeatedly looked at us preferred to chat with her colleague about personal matters and laugh together while they relaxed at the counter. So we left the restaurant and went to another one.
