I thought it was just me but the other reviews prove I was not wrong. The person that served my food seemed like they didn’t even want to serve me. They charge you more if they realise that you’re a tourist and you don’t speak German too well. Food presented on menu etc is not what you get. Food was cold and tasteless even though he microwaved it, it was still cold as if it was kept in a refrigerator overnight. I threw the food away and had to leave my hotel again to get something else nearby to eat. Don’t recommend.

The falafel was definitely not homemade, I've eaten much better. So the taste is just okay. It was advertised that the falafeldürüm came with couscous and hummus. Surprise, both were missing. When we asked about the couscous, we were presented with pickles - this was the couscous. Hot sauce was slapped on one of the two orders even though we specifically didn't want it. And that for €6.50. The owners are clumsy, card payments are not possible because no one knows how to use the device. The counter looks desolate. All in all a dubious shop, okay if you're hungry, but I wouldn't go there again.

Worst place ever. The food was disgusting and the personal too. The doner was surely not beef but dog. The fries... I prefer to no talk about it. Don't eat there for your safety.

I'm sorry - that was the worst kebab (falafel dürüm) I've ever eaten so far. The falafel was simply disgusting. Hard, grainy spots with a strangely sweet (?) finish or something... There was no sauce at the top, but there was in the middle, but they weren't really great either. My six friends and I (different dishes) share exactly the same opinion when it comes to taste - I wasn't the only one who threw away the rest. I would be happy if something changed!

This is a cash only establishment. Warning: they won’t tell you that until after the meal. There’s a 6 euro withdrawal fee at the ATM next door (somewhat steep). As a warning to others, I wouldn’t recommend coming here unless you have cash. The kebab wasn’t that good either.

Unfortunately, that was the worst kebab I've ever eaten, some of the meat was really hard and burnt and the kebab was generally unbearable. The Dürum fell apart like puff pastry and you couldn't eat it properly either.

Today my friends and I went to Haji Baba Döner in the Hanseatic City of Hamburg, we all really enjoyed it and we can all recommend this shop with a clear conscience if you're looking for a quick, juicy kebab 👍

7.80 for an oil-soaked pomm doner, meat tasted stale. I don't know why I didn't go to bed hungry, it would have felt better. Service was ok.

Worst place I have ever eaten at. It was nasty as hell, the knife and fork dirty and when you tell them that it's dirty they say this is how the washing machine makes them. I ate shish kebab that tasted anything but shish kebab.

Was soll man sagen. Der Typ hintern Tresen ist ein O.G. Die Produkt Palette die ich bisher erkundet habe beschränkt sich auf den Döner der ist ne 5 / 10. Man kann es essen .

They did not speak any English and my German was not up to standard for them but I got a kebab box with fries. It was fine, not the worst. Mind no red cabbage!!!. I ate it all, so it filled a hole .

Der Falafel hat nicht gut geschmeckt und war dafür echt zu teuer. Zudem fehlten mehrere der aufm Board genannte Zutaten. Auf Nachfrage wurde mir gesagt, dass sie das nicht mehr haben. Leider keine Empfehlungen.

Bester laden, man wird herzlich hier angenommen und essen ist lecker

Döner + Ayran für 8,20€ ansich nicht das Problem. Aber der Döner ist absolut Winzig und sehr dünn. Der Geschmack war super, aber die Menge unter aller Sau. Ich fühle mich verarscht.

Wer einen echt leckeren Döner sucht ist hier genau richtig. Obwohl die Preise überall steigen, sind die 6,90€ hierfür genau richtig angelegt. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett und wie man den Bildern entnehmen kann, ist die Auswahl super und es ist für jeden etwas dabei. Das Geschäft ist direkt auf dem Steindamm, relativ nah zum Bahnhof und anderen Geschäften.

Fleisch war ok, das Gemüse zu grob geschnitten, das brot war lecker, Portion war zu klein, Sauce war ok, fazit, kann man machen, gibt aber bessere aufm Steindamm.

Dönerladen im belebten St. Georg. Service schnell und auch alles nach Wunsch zubereitet. Was allerdings überhaupt nicht geht, ist, dass die Preise am Schild draußen nicht korrekt sind. Drinnen am Tresen ist es mindestens 1 Euro teurer. Wenn man dann sein Essen in der Hand hat, merkt man, dass die Preise völlig überteuert sind, für die erhaltene Speise. Hier stimmt zumindest beim Dürüm – Döner das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis überhaupt nicht.

Es gibt einfach Ortsteile, in denen der Döner besser ist als in anderen. Zu diesen Stadtteilen gehört ganz klar St. Georg. Als ich mit im Rahmen eines Wandertag einen schmucken Döner bei Haji Baba bestellte, war dieser gerade erst frisch nach langer Pandemie-Pause mit vorerst noch kleinerer Karte wiedereröffnet worden. Ich biss hinein und war schockverliebt: dieses knusprige, sesambegattete Meisterwerk der Back-Kunst ließ bereits vermuten, dass ich hier einen Ehrendöner in der Hand hielt. Direkt im nächsten bissen erhielt ich eine Mischung aus Fleisch, Salat und Soße, was Ich positiv erwähnen muss, denn viele dieser Snack-Läden mischen ihre Ingredienzien nur fahrlässig wenig. Das Fleisch war top, der Salat frisch - aber herausgestochen hat die Soße! HALLELU- ja, reiss mit den Arm ab, war die geil! Aus dem einfachen Grund, dass sie sich durch eine leichte Minzigkeit so sehr vom Einheitsgesupp der meisten anderen Dönerläden abhob. Hätte ich ein Döner-fanzine, dann wäre diesen Monat Haji Baba der sexy Coverspieß.

Was mir an diesem Kebab House sehr gefällt: 1. Sehr sehr nettes, höfliches und freundliches Personal. Man spürt die Bescheidenheit der Arbeiter. Der Chef ist an Menschlicher Moral nicht zu überbieten. Ich glaube man ist nicht nur als Kunde, sondern vielmehr als willkommen und wird vielmehr deswegen respektiert. Auch wenn man jetzt nur eine Dose Cola kauft. 2. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und immer frisch. Meine Verbesserungsvorschläge hat sich der Chef höchstpersönlich angehört und umgesetzt. (Ich hatte damals vorgeschlagen, ein anderes Brot, welches weicher und saftiger schmeckt, zu verwenden.) 3. Der Preis ist sehr fair! 4. Ich musste noch nie für den Tee bezahlen. 5. Die neuen Sitzplätze sind sehr angenehm. 6. Der Laden ist sauber. 7. Die in der man draußen sitzen kann ist sehr bequem. 8. Mit Bettlern und Betrunkenen wird moralisch umgegangen. Mein Einziger Verbesserungsvorschlag: Wenn es möglich wäre irgendwie ein Kunden-WC zu organisieren wäre es Top!
