Because we had a reservation at The Don A Roma Aurich and they made us wait outside for three quarters of an hour and that was for a birthday. Then the service told us it would still take a while and we said we were leaving. The service there then wanted to settle accounts with us. impudence. We quickly decided to call the Hafenkiste to see if they would or could still take us in. Just because it was a birthday. The best thing is that they did everything they could to accommodate us and I haven't felt as well looked after as I did there in a long time. Great there. Really great. Thank you. Great team. This morning we spontaneously got a table for breakfast with 11 people on the occasion of a birthday, as another restaurant that had a reservation made us wait outside the entrance for 45 minutes later in the “winter garden”. Then everything was fine for you The breakfast buffet was refilled even at this time, drinks were picked up and brought quickly, the table was clean and everything else too even though the store was completely full. Big thanks to the Hafenkiste team. 👍💯

Went there today for the first and last time with a group for the breakfast buffet. The restaurant was very crowded and the queue at the buffet was extremely long. This didn't create a good weekend breakfast feeling. The noise level was also very high. The service staff was very nice and accommodating. It's just a shame that everyone was afraid of the boss.

One of my favorite restaurants in my area. Great vegan options and very tasty cocktails. We were there with the high school class at the time and had a lovely evening in a great atmosphere. The service is also nice. Sometimes it is very loud when there are large groups. That should be taken into account. On the second visit, the “birthday child’s” chicken was unfortunately sour or sour. Despite a "thanks, but no thanks" we were delivered a new chicken, which was better. That was very accommodating, thank you for that. Gladly again!

We were there on a Sunday for the buffet breakfast and it was just great! Super nice staff and a great buffet where nothing was missing and everything was always in stock or quickly replenished. We'd love to come back!

Simply great, my wife and I come here for breakfast at least once a month, everything is perfect here!! Great staff, great prices and the quality and selection is simply top! However, it is mandatory to make a reservation in advance, the word has gotten around that it is worth the trip there and as a rule you can't get a seat there spontaneously, which is definitely positive and speaks for itself.

Experiences in the “Hafenkasten” Fire alarm and long waiting times. The smoke alarm sounded, causing uncertainty among the guests. A short time later the service person came and frantically opened the window right there. Cold poured in and all we heard was: "The waffle iron in the kitchen is too hot", nothing happened. Luckily there was no fire. Afterwards we waited an eternity for our ordered food (previously for the order to be accepted). I asked the service and was told that the boss was now in the kitchen. The food was OK. Not again anytime soon.

We often come to the harbor box these days. The location is good and important to me -> you are in good hands there with your dog! The Hafenkiste is easy to get to by bike. By car, parking is sometimes difficult at peak times, but the harbor box can't help. The service is good, could be a little more attentive here and there but the crew is always polite. The food is good, portions and prices match. Changes/special requests will be fulfilled if possible.

The food is ok is good. We reserved a place here for breakfast in the morning. Non Schalon was told that there were only seats outside. so far so good. Of course I am aware that the temperatures in February are not exactly tropical but unfortunately the heaters were only switched on at 9:00 a.m. when the room was opened. I'm not aware if they were running before. In addition, the heaters are set with a timer for 30 minutes. For this reason, as a guest you always have to walk around the entire room yourself and turn on the heaters. But it was so cold outside that we could see our breath for the first 30 minutes. You have to communicate something like this in advance before making a reservation or make sure that the temperatures are not around zero. The service was very nice and of course tried to be friendly here. That's why I blame only management. I've rarely had such a bad experience. Unfortunately, the decent service and the decent food can't make up for it

Nice restaurant at the harbor with a nice view and the ambience inside is also nice. We ordered a table for 7 people over the phone but were then supposed to sit at 3 small tables separated from each other. We then sat down in the winter garden, which was of course already quite cool at the end of October. You could have said it on the phone when nothing was available. We found drinks quite expensive, but the food prices were okay. The food was very tasty BUT it took far too long considering that the place was very empty, so we didn't understand why it wasn't possible to get a table there even though it was empty anyway. The waiter was very friendly, the waitress who also served us was either not new or didn't have that much experience, she seemed a bit overwhelmed at the end to make 2 separate bills.

Simply a great experience! The food is incredibly delicious, every dish is a delight. The atmosphere is beautiful and invites you to linger. The drinks are also excellent, perfectly balanced. This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. I've already been to R-Cafes in Hamm and Arnsberg, in both it took a long time for the food to arrive but here in Aurich we waited an hour. Since it was very cold in the dining room despite the heater, we decided to take the food with us. It wasn't particularly crowded in the restaurant, many tables were still free. I suspect that the kitchen team is not on their toes, the drinks came quickly. When we arrived at our apartment, we noticed that the goat cheese salad was missing. The pizza was okay. In the restaurant, three out of four toilet stalls in the women's toilet were missing toilet paper.

Ich habe online einen Termin gebucht und am Tag, als ich dort hin wollte, sogar noch angerufen, ob die Buchung geklappt hat. Dort angekommen wollte man mir erst sagen, dass keine Buchung vorliegt und sie für 3 Personen nur noch einen Minitisch zur Verfügung hätten. Nach nochmaliger Prüfung war meine Buchung auf einmal doch da, allerdings wäre es der gleiche Tisch... *häh???* Einen Hochtisch hat man mir noch (recht unfreundlich) angeboten. Ein Hochtisch für 2 Ü80jährige... naja... Ich freue mich für euch, dass ihr so gut gebucht seid, allerdings macht es dann Sinn, die Online-Buchung zu deaktivieren. Wir sind insgesamt 50 km gefahren, nur um wieder zu gehen. Sehr ärgerlich! 3 Sterne dennoch, weil ich 2 Tage vorher dort einen sehr kompetenten Service und sehr leckeres Essen hatte.

Essen und Ambiente ok. Essen ist aber kein Highlight. Für Gruppen nicht zu empfehlen. Schnaps aufs Haus Fehlanzeige. Dazu egal was für eine Sorte, 3,10 Euro ist ein stolzer Preis. Auch zieht die Bude wie Hechtsuppe und geheizt wird auch nicht. Schade, wenn man über 500 Euro zahlt und die Leistung nicht stimmt.

We went to the restaurant together as a team for dinner at the end of the year. The atmosphere is very cozy and inviting and the service is first class. Very friendly and accommodating and always with a smile on his face. We had a good selection of starters such as goulash soup and bruschetta, or main courses such as burgers and schnitzel with a side dish, and we were all very satisfied. Price performance is also right in this case. I can fully recommend this restaurant and look forward to my next visit.

As always, the food was delicious. However, today I experienced for the first time that one of the waiters was very keen on tips. We simply rounded up the amount and apparently that didn't suit him and we could hear how stingy we were. He also became very rude and threw the card reader on the table. I've never experienced anything so cheeky. It's better to think about whether you might go somewhere else to eat next time.

We ate there with 4 people. The food was good and the price-performance ratio was right. The ambience was nice and the location at the harbor was also great. Now about the service: Our waiter wasn't exactly friendly, but he wasn't particularly unfriendly either. We then shared the food and paid by card. As soon as we typed in the amount, the waiter complained about both card payments that we paid the exact amount by card, i.e. without a tip. I still had cash in my pocket for this, but after this action I decided not to tip. The waiter then threw the receipt onto the table without a sound and didn't even say goodbye to us. Complete no-go! Actually worth another visit, but never again because of this one money vulture. Too bad harbor box!

It was our first time in the harbor box. It was freezing cold. According to the employee, the heating hadn't worked for a few days, which was a no-go when the outside temperature was 7 degrees. Since reservations were made in advance, it would have been nice if we had been informed about it. The ventilation was also on and cooled the room additionally. Many guests sat wrapped in jackets and blankets. The food was good. For me it's more of a bistro than a real meal. Nice location and nice atmosphere.

A wonderful dinner after a 🚴🏼🚴🏼 bike tour around Aurich It's a shame that there was no fish (as it said on the internet menu. We sat in the "winter garden"...well warmed. Marie served us with a friendliness that was very pleasant. She really seems to have fun at work and radiates it and you immediately feel at home. The food was delicious and well prepared. Cozy restaurant in a rustic style at the harbor in Aurich. The food is very good and when ordering schnitzel, the customer is asked about the type of meat (chicken/pork/vegan) and the type of fries (potatoes/sweet potatoes), which I found very positive. The salad 🥗 was also nicely prepared and tasty. The Hafenkiste is part of the Extrablatt Gastronomy. If you look at the toilets, you also know what the kitchen looks like.... The toilets here look immaculately clean.

A real tip for anyone who wants more than just snacks. Inviting atmosphere to feel good, dogs are welcome, service competent, friendly and uncomplicated. The delicacies from the kitchen are a real culinary delight!

You can eat well in the Hafenkiste, but only certain dishes. The burgers are great! Schnitzel again not so good. However, you have to wait a long time for your food and drinks at any time. Too bad. Very disappointing! Four of us stopped there after a bike ride. We ordered 2 x schnitzel with fries and 2 x green bowl. After a long time, the two “bowls” and one schnitzel with fries arrived. The schnitzel and fries were cold. So that went back. The second schnitzel we ordered came after a quarter of an hour and the one we ordered came back after another 10 minutes. So we couldn't eat together. Now to our bowl, which wasn't one. Mixed salad works better (with lots and lots of green lettuce leaves). The individual components were very rare and you had to really look for them. Bulgur and onion were completely missing. The whole thing had nothing to do with a bowl. We paid around €100 for the whole thing including drinks. We would have gotten it cheaper at the snack bar.

We had schnitzel twice with fries, a large salad and homemade tortelloni. Unfortunately there was a large piece of plastic in the filling of the tortelloni, and the dish was also cold. But it was taken back without any problems and we got a new one. The cocktails were very tasty. One point for improvement would be the cleanliness of the toilets, especially the women's toilets. It should be checked more often and some guests could also behave more considerately - it's really unpleasant when two out of four toilets are dirty. All in all it's a nice place for a break, e.g. B. after a bike tour, but not a particular highlight.

On the occasion of my birthday we went to the breakfast buffet in the Hafenkiste for the first time. The atmosphere there is very nice, the service is good and friendly. We were there on a Wednesday, so it wasn't crowded. Unfortunately the breakfast wasn't a highlight!! However, the selection was quite large. There were 2 types of rolls, croissants, cheese, sausage, many sweet spreads, egg dishes, various desserts, fruit, pancakes, cornflakes, juices, all included. However, you pay extra for hot drinks. They then dig in, so that our breakfast includes two hot drinks per person. cost more than €22. For 3 people a total of 68€, I think that's steep!! But what bothered us more was that a lot of things there weren't fresh. In our opinion, the croissants were from the day before, the ends were hard and dry. That had nothing to do with a fresh, delicious croissant! The salad from the salad bar was no longer crisp green, but brown, which was unappetizing, and the remaining vegetables didn't make the best impression either. The rolls were reminiscent of Aldi Aufbach rolls, which isn't actually a bad thing, but I don't expect something like that at a buffet. Unfortunately, the pancakes and scrambled eggs were cold… and the little egg muffins also tasted like they were from the day before. After a few great evenings in the Hafenkiste, we expected a great breakfast, but were unfortunately disappointed. We often go for breakfast in various cafés and are happy to pay more for a great breakfast, but the €68 for this offer hurts! What a shame!!

The employees take a break in the middle of the store. The guests therefore do not dare to sit down at the largest table. Sorry, but it's not possible for the staff to take a break in the guest area. The employee found the phone next to her very annoying as she ate and simply dismissed the call. The schnitzel was very tasty. The decorative salad was wilted and the tomatoes in it were also unappetizing to look at. Every time I had to wait twenty to thirty minutes until a service came. The only thing that worked was when I walked into the store I was immediately asked what I wanted to drink and my dog ​​was served water with my drink. Then the waiting began. The terrace has three small parasols, which means you can't visit the outside area when it's warm because you can't stand the heat. The ambience is quite nice. I just don't know what these stupid garden gnomes are doing in the edge of a harbor. So in the future I would only stop there for a drink, because it's served quickly.

Before Corona, we visited the Hafenkiste very often and never went home disappointed. Unfortunately, we didn't like it at all the last few times. The place is completely crowded, correspondingly loud and no longer comfortable. The food and drinks are below average, the burgers are bland and tasteless, the cocktails are nicely presented but only contain minimal alcohol. Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio doesn't fit here at all. The service is totally attentive and very friendly. At most we will only come to the harbor box for a glass of wine.
