We were served very nicely and the dinner tasted delicious. If we're in Emden again, we'll be happy to come back!

Very hospitable, breakfast buffet plentiful and very tasty. In some cases, the clearing of tables in the outdoor area is neglected.

Unfortunately, price and performance do not match here. One meal was oversalted, the other had no salt at all. Supplements were forgotten and only brought when asked. Service unfortunately not attentive and interested. It's a shame because of the beautiful location.

Good breakfast with a special selection of hot items. Scrambled eggs and bacon, but also kibbeling, small. Spring rolls, sausages, meatballs and Kaiserschmarrn. Otherwise a good selection, including rice pudding and red porridge, but no other special features. Very good standard. Nice, quick service. Warm drinks to be paid extra. 2 juices and water included in the price. Price-performance is right.

😋Today I had a delicious rump steak with truffle fries, the food was really delicious, I was very enthusiastic about the food, I can only give my respect to the chefs for what they did despite the stress and my full respect to the service staff... I can recommend the hafen Haus Emden to everyone

We had reserved. It was storming and drizzling outside this morning. In anticipation, we were there at 8:55 a.m., the door open, the lights on. Once inside, we were briskly informed that opening times were from 9 a.m. Before we were allowed to ask if we could just sit down somewhere, one lady said to the next that they wanted to lock the door starting tomorrow. Because of this friendly attitude, we left and will not (ever) come back. We then went to the better rated café “Der Ostfriese” on the market square and the breakfast buffet was excellent and the service was very, very, very nice. No wonder it's rated better.

Full of praise for the Sunday breakfast. Huge selection, everything fresh and beautifully prepared. Unfortunately, with the rush at 10 a.m., the service was overwhelmed, so we had to wait a long time for our drinks. We made arrangements and it was very nice. We always like to come back.

We were just eating. We had plaice that was completely salty. And that with 14 people 🤷‍♂️ No problem, we got another 14 new ones. Unfortunately there was no fish cutlery available which I would have liked in a restaurant of this level. Service was ok so far…

We wanted to eat here on Thursday. When we came in, we were surprised that hardly any table had food. After we got a drink menu for 5 people, we chose our drinks. Even after 25 minutes had passed after ordering, we still had nothing to drink. After looking at the menu, which has been drastically reduced compared to previous years and prices that a normal earner can hardly afford, we wanted to cancel our drinks. It turned out that our order had not been processed even after 25 minutes. There were 6 other tables before us. We said goodbye and spent a nice evening in another restaurant with more affordable prices and faster service. We will not visit the harbor house again.

The view from the harbor house is really beautiful and maritime. But if you want to wait a long time for your drink or something else, this is the right place for you. There was hardly anything going on, but the service staff were completely overwhelmed.

Super tasty and the staff is also very nice. It should also be mentioned if you are a dog owner. Can you take your four-legged friend with you?

Because of the unfriendly reception and the allocation of the worst table with no alternative when the restaurant was only half full, we left again with the information that we had just made a reservation (which was demonstrably not true) and then had a delicious meal in the immediate vicinity with friendly service.

It's nice to sit here at the harbor with a view of the water, nice terrace. We just had a drink. Non-alcoholic wheat was ice cold 👍, Alster was, like in many restaurants that have the soda on the counter, so-so👎. That's why only 4 stars...🤷‍♂️

Sitting really wonderfully at the harbor, but the service is a bit of a disaster. We've been here three times because we thought it could only be an exception but unfortunately it happened every time. In addition, the prices here do not match the quality of the food. The food was great. The service was very, very friendly. We were a large group and some of us didn't know how to behave. Sry for that. However, the process needs to be worked on. We waited a really long time for drinks and every now and then something was wrong and something else was forgotten.

We were there with 3 people and sat outside. The restaurant is very nicely done and has a great location right on the Delft with a beautiful view. Apparently the waiters forgot about us because our order wasn't taken for ages. The drinks, which only came to the table shortly before the meal, took a similar amount of time. Unfortunately, there were also incorrect cards with dishes that were no longer current, but they apologized a thousand times for that. The food was very tasty and of high quality, only the schnitzel could have been a little warmer, I think that it was ready first and was already sitting around for a while. Overall, great taste! For the price, we would have expected a slightly larger portion, but that is also a very subjective feeling. However, we were all just barely full. Overall a great visit with very slow but friendly service. My points of criticism are minor things, but they should actually be a must for a high-priced restaurant like the Hafenhaus. Nevertheless, we will come back and really enjoyed the food.

Breakfast on August 7th a disaster! Something was always missing and was filled very slowly or not at all. (just a few examples: bread, croissant, scrambled eggs) I've been there several times, but this time will probably be the last time if I can afford it. Boiled eggs, raw ham, meat and a few other little things were completely missing. I had to look for the staff to order another pot of coffee, so I skipped the pot of tea.

Unfortunately there was very little choice and for the price we would have expected more in terms of taste. The salad was very bitter and not recommended.

We were there for the breakfast buffet with pre-booked seats during the week. It was very tasty and plenty of choice. The prices are reasonably good and we will happily come back.

The service is incredibly slow. Quality goes like this... All in all we waited 45 minutes for our food. And the store was almost empty and there were 4 waitresses on site And the store is expensive too. A clear steer clear.

Auch dieses Lokal war eine Empfehlung - zu Recht! Wir besuchten es drei Mal während unseres Urlaubs. Jedes Mal waren die Fischgerichte (Pannfisch, Krabensuppe, etc) sehr gut. Service ist freundlich und flink. Preisniveau leicht oberhalb Mitelwert, aber bei der gebotenen Qualität angemessen.

I wonder if the chef or owner has changed because the quality and sophistication of the cuisine has extremely decreased. Hardly any vegetarian dishes left. We were there for lunch and the dishes were very carelessly prepared and presented...a shame. The children's play area was unfortunately a mess, but at least there was one.

We happened to eat here by chance. My wife had fish and chips from the lunch menu for €9.90, I had a 3-course menu consisting of herring tartare on lamb's lettuce, herring burger with fried potatoes and a peach sorbet for €15.90. The food was excellent and plentiful. The service was very friendly and quick. The ambience was great. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately the breakfast was very poor. Price performance no longer fits here at all. The buffet is significantly smaller and has less choice than usual. There is no longer any Ojuice. The rolls were very hard and there was hardly any choice here either..

Meine Frau und ich fragten nach einer Stunde Wartezeit nach unserem Nachtessen. Wohlverstanden bestellten wir zwei Salate (Cesar Salat und Hafenhaussalat). Tatsächlich haben sie trotz wenig Gästen uns vergessen den zubereitete Salat zu servieren… Uns wurde ein frischer Salat angeboten, welcher wir kurze Zeit später erhielten. Der Salat war schlampig und vom Dressing ertränkt… Wir waren das erste und letzte Mal hier!

Mittags hatten wir in dem gepflegten Lokal mit Blick auf den Delft ein leckeres Krabbenbrötchen genossen. Da auf der Speisekarte eine "Ganze Scholle" (29,50 €) angeboten wurde, reservierten wir auch für den Abend. Eine krasse Fehlentscheidung! Serviert wurde eine schwammige, wässrige Scholle, die offenbar tiefgefroren und dann turbo aufgetaut worden war. Auf unsere Beschwerde kam aus der Küche die Bestätigung mit dem Hinweis, auf der Karte sei ja auch nicht "frische Scholle" gestanden. Das in Emden am Hafen!! Das wäre uns bei unserem Fischhändler im küstenfernen Bayern sicher nicht passiert.

No longer the first house on the site! 2. Update The menu has been expanded slightly and the already high price level has been significantly increased again. So we looked for an alternative yesterday and found it. 1.Update I visited Hafenhaus with 3 relatives and wanted to be inspired by the menu, so I wasn't committed yet. But the map had shrunk to an absolute minimum. My guests were also disappointed as they were looking forward to a decent selection of fish dishes. I ended up getting the harbor house burger, which I enjoyed, but I was expecting something different. When I asked, I found out that both the management and the kitchen team had changed and that the Hafenhaus would be presenting a new menu from June. Since I'll be back in Emden from mid-June, I'll make a new attempt. In any case, with the current map, the Hafenhaus is no longer playing in the top league. However, the friendly service was still there, as was the ambience, of course. Original rating: My choice: Dips with 3 sauces Bruschetta asparagus Harbor house crab soup Wine is also available in ½l carafes, I can recommend the Primitivo. I felt very comfortable again, and the excellent, friendly service also contributed to this. The Hafenhaus remains my first choice in Emden.

The breakfast offering has been expanded to include some delicacies. The staff was very friendly and on the ball, which wasn't always the case in the past. On the whole you feel comfortable. I know the Hafenhaus differently, I always liked going to the breakfast buffet, unfortunately today there was very no choice of food and it was of poor quality, no fresh rolls, just frozen things that weren't even quite ready and there was nothing marked, it wasn't even one boiled egg for our child. Liebes Hafenhaus, das war heute schon sehr grenzwwertig. Auf einer Minikarte (1 Seite) war die ganze Dinnerauswahl zu finden. Da sah man viele Gäste, wie sie an der Karte reibend die 2. Seite suchten. Zur allgemeinen Kritik möchte ich den Salat für 14,50 € anführen. Ganze 5 halbe Cherrytomaten und 5 hauchdünn geschnittene Gurkenscheiben säumten und dekorierten den Rand. In der Mitte jede Menge einfacher Blattsalat, dazu ein paar Nüsse, "Karottensplitter" und ein Prise Sprossen, -das war es. Das Dressing: wirklich gut. Trotzdem bleibt ein trübes Gefühl von WER-NIMMT-MICH-DENN-HIER-NICHT-ERNST. Es spricht nichts dagegen, reich zu werden, -aber bitte nicht auf meine Kosten.

Goodbye harbor house! We celebrated our wedding there years ago. Since then, regular guests who have had to experience the constant decline in service and friendliness. So now the last visit We went to the harbor house at 12 o'clock. It took 25 minutes before we were allowed to order drinks. There was no regular menu, on the grounds that there were only 2 chefs on site (which was always the case). There was no answer to the query, the service simply left. After another 15 minutes without drinks we decided to leave. We wanted to pay for the drinks we ordered. Both waitresses looked at each other with question marks...the lady forgot the order. Strong performance with very few guests. It's a shame, it used to be nice.

Rolls rock hard...scrambled eggs fried to death and service staff who had absolutely no desire...never again

Today we were at the Hafenhaus again from 9:30 a.m. with 11 people (former classmates) for breakfast brunch. We were registered. We were seated at two uncovered tables. We took over the task of setting up for the overworked service staff. The first filling of our plates was unsuccessful. The containers for scrambled eggs, bacon, etc. were already empty. On the second attempt, the containers were still empty, as were many other containers (cheese, salmon, sausage, etc.) We were informed by a very exaggerated-looking service manager that it was a service employee's first day at work and that we probably had time with us. There were many more shortcomings! In the house the ratio between the number of guests and the service staff was not correct at all. We were really very disappointed and left the restaurant very dissatisfied!!!!

The tea was wonderful. Unfortunately there were no waffles in the morning. Very nice staff, reasonable price and the location right on the water make this restaurant very attractive and I will certainly be happy to come back.

The lunch menu had a good selection, very attentive service, great value for money. Last but not least, there was a greeting from the kitchen in the form of a very tasty dessert. The open house wine is highly recommended

Hatten einen Tisch reservier um 09.30 sind gleich zum Tisch begleitet worden die Bedienungen zwei an der zahl Top man muss sich wunder das die das Rocken dann ging es los 10:00 keine Brötchen mehr da gekocht Eier auch nicht auf anfrage bei der Bedienung laut Küche gibt keine mehr. Das was dann nicht okay war ist das die Küchenkraft zu Koch hinterm Tresen noch sagt irgendwann ist ja auch mal gut. Absolut ein Frechheit. Für uns ist das nicht mal ein Stern.

We were there 2 years ago, it was great and so we wanted to experience it again today. Unfortunately the breakfast buffet was a real disappointment. Rolls hard and dry, bread wasn't replenished and what was there was old. The fruit was definitely not from today. No small spoons to be found. Unfortunately the service was not at all motivated. We weren't the only ones who were really disappointed. When we paid we expressed this in a friendly manner and were told that they were changing the buffet and there was a shortage of staff. Very sad that the quality has to suffer. The atmosphere is really great.

Sunday buffet! Baked rolls, the smaller ones very hard, inedible! I could have done better at home, probably savings program! No signage on the goods! Very often there are no plates or glasses for juice! There was actually enough staff there to handle it!! It's a shame, I won't go there anymore!

Stopped by by chance in the off season. So we got a seat quickly, unfortunately despite only 3 to 4 other guests the service was a bit limited. Only one colleague could take orders and issue the invoice. Otherwise very friendly and reserved. The ambience is very appealing, great location and the concept runs through the store (the lamps could use a dusting). Food was excellent and you can see the chefs. Highly recommend the lunch menu from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. from Monday to Friday for €9.90. I'd love to come back.

You arrive there completely cold and hungry because of a reservation you made months ago (Christmas dinner with the whole family, 18 people) only to ultimately find that you have simply been forgotten. There was no alternative there either, so in the end the Christmas dinner was almost canceled.....Thank God an opportunity arose at short notice in another café/restaurant....I think it's a shame, especially since this wasn't the first The time is that I was disappointed...

Hatten Ende letzten Jahres für den 07. Januar 2024 um 9.00 Uhr ein Frühstück für 18 Personen telefonisch reserviert. Noch vor ein paar Tagen hatte unsere Tochter vorsichtshalber telefonisch angefragt ob es dabei bleiben würde. Dieses wurde vom Personal nochmals bestätigt und das wir sogar wegen unserer großen Gruppe einen eigenen Raum bekommen sollten. Heute Morgen angekommen wurde uns dann nach längerem Warten von einer Bediensteten des Personals mitgeteilt das von einer Reservierung nichts bekannt sei. Aus unser aller Sicht eine Unverschämtheit! Wir werden dieses Haus künftig weder betreten noch weiter empfehlen.

Hatten schon vor Wochen für 18 Personen zum frühstücken telefonisch reserviert. Als wir heute morgen dort ankamen standen wir nicht auf der Reservierungsliste. Offensichtlich ist man im Hafenhaus nicht in der Lage telefonische Reservierungen aufzunehmen. Spontan ging dann vor Ort auch nichts mehr. Ich war jetzt mehrere Male im Hafenhaus und wirklich jedes Mal gab es etwas zu beanstanden. Wir konnten dann spontan beim Ostfriesen unterkommen, somit war das Familienfrühstück dann doch noch gerettet. Vielen Dank dafür nochmal an das Team vom Ostfriesen.

Hatten bereits letztes Jahr telefonisch ein Frühstück für 18 Personen für den 07. Januar 2024 um 9.00 Uhr reserviert. Der Termin wurde vor einigen Tagen nochmals auf telefonischer Nachfrage bestätigt mit dem Hinweis das sogar ein eigener Raum für uns verfügbar sei. Als wir Heute einkehren wollten wusste von dem Personal angeblich niemand mehr von unserer Reservierung und freie Plätze waren auch nicht mehr vorhanden.Wir empfanden die gesamte Situation als reine Verarschung und sind schließlich wieder gegangen. Mit Sicherheit werden wir dieses " Haus " künftig meiden !

Super lecker nur ein paar Gerichte auf der Speisekarte diese aber vernünftig. Kommen bei unserem nächsten Besuch wieder.

Wir fahren seit Monaten nicht mehr im Hafenhaus gewesen. Als wir eine Einladung von unseren Freunden bekamen, war unsere Freude nicht sehr groß. Das Essen und der Service war sonst nicht gut. Wir wurden Samstag Abend sehr freundlich von einer blonden Dame begrüßt. Als wir dann die Speisekarten bekommen, waren wir überrascht,dass es eine neue Karte gab. Das Essen und auch der Service hat uns positiv überrascht. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend und werde gerne wieder kommen.

Das Essen ist -und man muss wirklich sagen leider- so gut, dass es über den sehr dürftigen Service und die unsauberen Toiletten fast schon hinwegtröstet. Trotzdem: Eine Vorspeise wurde einfach vergessen und kam dann trotz Reklamation so schnell erstmal nicht. Viele angebotene Gerichte, welche nicht auf der Karte standen (Grünkohl mit Pinkel und Rehrücken z. B.) blieben völlig unentdeckt, da sie teilweise nur auf Kreidetafeln an nicht gut einsehbaren Wänden vermerkt waren. Vom Personal kein Wort beim Überreichen der Speisekarte zu diesen Spezialitäten. Die Toiletten sind leider sehr unsauber.

Lange nicht mehr so qualitativ so hochwertig gegessen. Eine wahnsinns Küche. Dagegen steht der schlechteste Service ever. Unaufmerksam, lahm, vergesslich, und warten warten warten. Alle laufen rum ohne was zu tun oder was zu sehen. Schade, super Ambiente und Küche. Den Service müsste man komplett austauschen....
