The food is very tasty and the portions are large, but the service is disgusting. On the first evening we got to the waitress, and the second to the waiter, we thought it would be better, but no ((((. If it doesn’t matter to you that they put you at random, forget about the order or bring plates, for example, then you can happily visit this restaurant and enjoy delicious cuisine

...you can do it. The food was good but there were only 4 pieces of meat in the goulash, which is very little. It's nice to sit outside and centrally located. Some meals are priced appropriately, some are too expensive for me.

Been waiting for the drinks for 30 minutes!!! Incredibly overwhelmed. After vigorously asking, the drinks and food were brought by 3 people. Person number 4 has been waiting for his food for 55 minutes. It's probably not going to happen anymore. The food is good to very good

Unfortunately it has diminished significantly. The taste is either very bland or totally over-seasoned. It used to be really good but unfortunately the quality is no longer the same. We ate the mountain cheese soup, which was supposed to be creamy and was rather crumbly. Goulash as the main course was oversalted and even bitter with the garnish. The dumplings didn't taste like anything. The snack plate was quite lightly stocked with a pretzel and after waiting 20 minutes, we unfortunately didn't want to order it again. The waiter had apologized but was still stupid. It used to be better.

Service terrible! There were five of us and we wanted to leave a lot of money in the restaurant. Unfortunately we didn't succeed. After we asked if there was a table available for five! We were told it was bad for food and drink at the moment. We were told to be patient for a moment and came to a bar table. Here we ordered 5 0.5 l Helle and five plums, 4 cl. After a good 30 minutes, one of our ladies was so ravenous and wanted a pretzel with the beer. So she ordered one. It didn't come and we reordered a whopping three times. There still wasn't a pretzel because there wasn't a free table yet, so one of our friends went to a table and asked if we could sit there, which they immediately approved with a year. After another 20 minutes we ordered our food. Three times knuckle, once goulash and once ribs. Another 35 minutes later the food still wasn't there. We complained and I ordered another beer, which didn't last until the end. After various complaints, the food finally arrived. We didn't really want it because it came much too late. Then the waiter asked us how we wanted the bill for what we had drunk and eaten. That was a bit suspicious for us. After we were honest and duly checked in with our drinks and food we paid but we will never go to this place again. I'm sorry or we're sorry for the great waiters we met last year.

This is actually a good restaurant. I've been there several times and always satisfied. But today I ordered Obatzda twice (for my wife and me). The waiter asked me if I would like a pretzel or bread for both of us to eat. According to the menu there was a pretzel for the Obatzda. I chose bread. On the bill there was an additional 1 euro for each slice of bread. The pretzel costs 1.50 euros. But I didn't receive this for either meal and I wasn't informed that each slice of bread costs an additional 1 euro and I didn't get a pretzel for it. I would have paid 3 euros for a slice of bread if I had been informed of this beforehand. But I wonder, is this a “rip-off!!!” or “Stupid man!!!”? In this way you can earn additional money without much effort. Does Hacker Pschorr really need this? I don't believe. But this will only annoy your guests. So far I have always been very satisfied with Hacker Pschorr. But today I am very disappointed. For me it's not about the 2 euros additional costs, but about the poor communication and the lack of insight on the part of the waiter.

A Bavarian restaurant in Saxony? Well, I was very hungry, it was getting late and there was room. That's why I got carried away, even though I much prefer Hax'n and Bavarian beer in Munich. The location is perfect, with a view of the old market. One star for that. Everything was clean and tidy (including the toilets). And there is the next star. I really liked the card. The focus is on original Bavarian dishes, and the drinks are also well chosen. We already have the third star. My knuckle was a bit dry, but that was probably due to the late hour. The skin was unusual but crispy. Overall, the food was good and the price of €20 was reasonable. Star number 4. The service was quick and attentive. And we actually have star number 5 for the top rating. But unfortunately I have to delete the 5th star again. The reason is a male service person with such an impertinent demeanor, which really spoiled my actually nice stay. Omnipresent throughout the outdoor area, heard at every table. The young, female guests at the next table were made clear offers and were even given their private cell phone numbers. The girls were pretty disturbed and said as they left: “Now we can never go back here again” 🙁 After they left, people bragged about their supposed conquests at at least two tables. And as described above, everyone could hear that too. Dear N. from H., basically you are doing your job quite well, but with this behavior you are ruining a lot of what you have achieved through your hard work and attention to the guest. Work on your discretion and leave your personal “needs” out of your job. No woman wants to be hit on in such an intrusive manner by the waiter in a restaurant. This is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. So it stays with 4 stars. All in all, it's a good place to stop off and I can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience.

Update July 19, 2024 Was here again today and was really disappointed🫤 The food has deteriorated enormously - the service seems completely overwhelmed and mixes up orders - the starter came twice at the neighboring table instead of the main course - this then took another 40 minutes... of course the beer garden was full, but something like that shouldn't happen. While the food was being brought to me, the waiter was already taking the next order. Friendliness really wasn't there today🫣 We'll still come back and get another picture of the history. All good things come in 3😇 IMPRESSIVE.... So completely convinced and everyone's expectations - EXCEEDED.... Staff friendly to children too Food, absolutely amazing (greetings and thanks again to the kitchen team) Ambiance is really nice... Bavarian cosiness in the middle of Dresden. We'll be back🍺🍻🍺

Spontaneously went to the Hacker again today, I haven't eaten such a delicious, plentiful and inexpensive (€9.90) brawn in a long time, and there were fried potatoes, a dream 😋, we can really recommend the kitchen...my wish for an elderberry shandy was also fulfilled , it really doesn't get any better... The food was downright disgusting. The fish I got came from Captain Iglo, and looked like it was just fried from a package. My husband's chicken was also not tasty. A snack bar can do better. The service was extremely slow and inattentive.

We were looking forward to a nice evening because we like HackerPschorr from other locations. The drinks came quickly and were, as usual, good and chilled. The food came after 40 minutes and was lukewarm and rather boring in taste. The whole thing fit with the chaotic organization, which led to the wrong tables most of the time. The place is good for drinks, but not for food. A pity!

What you would expect from a brewery with countless guests. Not a fine art of cooking, the mushroom sauce contained plenty of mushrooms, but didn't have a strong mushroom flavor. There were lumps of binding agent in it. My husband's dish was fine. The female waiter at our table was really nice.

Had promised us more from the restaurant, the drinks were well chilled but the food was only lukewarm apart from the side dishes. It's a shame for such a restaurant.

We chose the restaurant for a relaxed evening with good food. The service was...reserved. The order was taken and the drinks came quickly. Then nothing worked anymore. Various tables around us complained in rows about where the food was. It was also not clear that the kitchen processed the orders piece by piece. There was also a time when no food came out for 20 minutes. After 60 minutes of waiting and only a few tables waiting in front of us, we decided to leave. No effort was made to keep us either. Was there for dinner with my wife. It was an experience all around! The ambience, the staff and the food. Simply great. Never had a savoy cabbage wrap of this quality anywhere. We were there a month ago and were very disappointed with the service. Gave it all a second chance. We're very patient, but waiting an hour for food isn't possible, especially when you're under the weather. The food was swimming in fat and we didn't like it at all. The waitress just stalled us several times. I can only recommend the place for drinking beer.

Food was ok. However, anyone who is dying of thirst and starvation is in absolutely the wrong place here. The waitresses turned on each other because they were completely unorganized. I can't remember ever waiting so long for service.

A typical Bavarian restaurant with a corresponding menu. It was great to be here. The staff is top and well motivated. What didn't work at all was the volume of the music. In a large group, divided into smaller tables, you had to shout at the person sitting next to you in order to be able to have a conversation. Something needs to change here.

Food quality was great!. The waiter outside seemed a bit annoyed and wouldn't let us sit outside, then we were invited to do so by another waiter inside. It felt a bit confusing. Aside from that minor incident the restaurant was nice and very comfortable.

We wanted to end the day here with great joy. Of course, the beer itself tasted good, as expected - but with an aftertaste. After sitting for about 40 minutes and not being served despite attempts to draw attention to us, we were about to leave. It was only thanks to the table next door that we even got a ticket at that time. If it had been extremely busy in terms of guests and available waiters, this wait might have been acceptable, but the occupancy was definitely manageable at the time. After we were able to order, we were told relatively dismissively that we could only order one beer outside and that the beer we requested was no longer available. It's a shame - but next time we'll go to HB or the Augustinerlokal again

Had dinner there this evening, waited about 20 minutes for the drinks and another 30 minutes for the food... (it was okay for us...) What I found really cheeky and totally unprofessional...was the waiter who didn't care whether it was from ordering the drinks for the meal to the time of paying, he took out his private smartphone and chatted cheerfully and made voice messages... Open your eyes when choosing the waiter...

The rooms are bright and modern. At the top you have a beautiful view of the Altmarkt with the roofs of Dresden's old town in the background. A bit cold for me personally, but that's just my opinion. 😄 The service was very nice and regularly asked us if we would like anything else. Top! Unfortunately, the food was a bit boring and should have been seasoned more boldly for a Bavarian restaurant. In addition, the portions were sometimes really small, hence the three stars. Nice restaurant, but there are more exciting ones in Dresden.

Went there for dinner with a friend yesterday and I have to say it was really great. The fish was well fried, and the small point of criticism or suggestion for improvement regarding the potatoes was also very well received. The waiter was very friendly and always had a smile on his face. I can really recommend this restaurant. P.S. The Kaiserschmarn is awesome :)

Waited a bit long for order and invoice.

Now a nice location thanks to the elimination of the construction site directly in front of the restaurant. The food still comes to the table in a hearty Bavarian style on well-garnished plates. The portions are quite different. The cheaper brawn with fried potatoes is quite filling and will definitely fill you up. The ribs are very tasty, but here it could be a bit more for just under €20. Overall, the food tastes very good, as does the beer. The prices are okay for downtown restaurants. At least in the outdoor area, the numerous controls available often seem a bit “confused”. The waiters, who are usually quite young, wander around helplessly with full tablets... looking for the right table. In the meantime, a meal sometimes remains at the “pick-up” for a few minutes because no waiter feels responsible for it. There's still room to fine-tune the organization here, but I'm confident you'll manage it. We'll definitely come back and test it out! And then there's the fifth star ;-)

The food was really great! Fresh and delicious. But the service was really not recommended. It was well attended, but it felt like it took forever for the food to arrive. Afterwards we ordered drinks that didn't arrive. After we ordered drinks again, we had to wait about 25 minutes until we were served. The head waiter was also visibly overwhelmed and therefore extremely unfriendly. His greeting was also generous. In my opinion the prices were a bit too high...

When we ordered we were told that there was currently no food at half past two in the afternoon. We then waited 20 minutes for beer and cyclists. We noticed from other guests that they had been waiting for their food for 2 hours. Some guests then left. Unfortunately, service was very overwhelmed by the overall situation. Not recommended on a Sunday afternoon.

Yesterday evening (July 18, 2023) we wanted to have a small meal after work. We were looking forward to it, but what happened next is hard to beat in terms of impudence and unprofessionalism. We were hardly greeted at first. At least we were immediately informed that the kitchen was open at 9 p.m closes and we should hurry up. We decided on Obazda... what happened next was unbelievable... I have to say we've been there before and it was great, so we knew what we were eating! it came. 2 per person write bread a bit Obazda.that's it!for €11.90??,excuse me?? I complained about my concern that the plate looked awful. 2 slices of bread was definitely not enough. The answer was that you were about to get off work and didn't have any bread left.. crazy.. Alternatively you could have had a pretzel, but nothing. The table was stuck until I told the young lady to please clean the table. So with eye rolling and listlessness, everything was there. I worked in the catering industry for 20 years. You have to live and love that if it's missing. Sorry! I'm still stunned and extremely annoyed by this audacity of indirectly throwing you out, right down to the price for a scoop of Obazda and a lettuce leaf. That's going too far! What didn't work at all was that at 8:30 p.m. the side doors were closed loudly so that you quickly disappeared again. especially the young ladies who have zero sympathy but have zero desire for their job.

Last Saturday we reserved a table at Hacker Pschorr for six people and were immediately warmly welcomed and escorted to our table. A really quaint but modern inn awaited us in the heart of the old market. The price-performance ratio is absolutely moderate and the kitchen with its Bavarian dishes invites you to linger. But the real reason we're writing this review is the service. Daniel U. looked after our table the whole evening and simply exuded a good mood with his charm and wit. We always had full glasses and were well looked after. So there’s definitely a 👍🏻 for that. We can only recommend Hacker Pschorr and would be happy to come back...

Cozy shop, food was okay. The service needs to be better. It all took far too long, we had to wait a long time. At the neighboring table, some waited for more than 1.5 hours, others were missing food for ages.

We didn't eat but we drank the beers

There's a big difference in the staff here. Where we first sat we were rudely told by one of the women to sit somewhere else. You can do that without downloading your bad day (or attitude) to your customers. The people at the table next to us straight-up left because of her. The next guy we had was great and seemed to be filling a lot of the gaps left by others on the team. Even so, they seemed understaffed for a Friday lunchtime. Food was solid. Quite liked the fried rocket garnish on the Käsespätzle. We joked that it's the ultimate 'alibi Salat'. There's plenty of Brauhäuser around the Altmarkt and Altstadt — with more staff who won't treat you as an inconvenience rather than a customer. First impressions do unfortunately make a big difference.

The food was so well, it could have been better. The schnitzel was a bit cool and the potato salad looked more like mashed potatoes. The service staff had a very underlying rude tone and were very unsatisfactory in dealing with complaints. Sentences like: “The lady would like a nicer schnitzel.”, mentioned in front of the guest are just maximum bullshit and do not belong in a restaurant like Hacker-Pschorr. The sauce for the asparagus was also very buttery and so lean that you could actually have eaten the asparagus dry. Unfortunately also very unsatisfactory. I'm used to better quality.

At 11 p.m. the leaders would ask us what we wanted as we walked past. Not politely but with an arrogant undertone. Hospitality looks different. Don't be a Saxon...

Everything is perfect, but the service is only 3 stars... It takes a whole half hour until the waiter asks for a new beer or brings a new one... Everything is great, but the waiter has to learn how to organize himself. He runs outside and back in without taking an order or collecting dishes, chatting and running a few laps around the store. And... two people at the gas pump is really too many.

Hello, we were there on May 15th. Drinks order was taken very quickly (1 Pils, 1 Radler) and after 25 minutes nothing was there. You could always see our waiter with a full beard coming onto the terrace while idling, so I really don't understand it. Went thirsty, thank you!

We were here yesterday, just wanted a drink. With a view to the Spring Festival, we sat outside very nicely. The waiter was friendly, which cannot be said about the female colleague. The coffee came without milk, which according to the waiter is not usual. After I asked the waitress about this for the second time (coffee was almost cold), I was clearly annoyed and replied that she couldn't think of everything. This has nothing to do with hospitality.

Absolutely the last thing, I waited over half an hour until someone took the order, waited 1.5 hours for the food, a simple schnitzel, when I wanted to pay I went forward for another 30 minutes and wanted to pay, I got it Answer: I should sit down again and someone will come. My answer to that was, if no one is here when I'm gone in two minutes, it'll happen all at once. I haven't experienced such miserable service since the fall of the Berlin Wall 😰😰😰👎👎

We ate there yesterday with a larger group and the service was very unfriendly. Food came quickly but unfortunately it wasn't good. My sirloin steak was well done and very tough and dry. I let it go back. At my request, they made me breaded chicken with potato salad. It was ok but not a highlight either. All in all a bit disappointing.

One of the best place in Dresden for dinner. Here you can enjoy the German atmosphere and taste German national cuisine, as well as local drinks. I recommend it to anyone visiting Dresden.

Unfortunately we sat around for 20 minutes before a card was even brought to us... there was no trace of friendliness of the service. Then we noticed that several guests had been waiting for their food for a long time and some of them got the wrong food. We then left without food or drinks.

5/2/24: We sat outside. There was no longer everything on the map. I had to spontaneously change my mind. We then waited 50 minutes for the food, which was served lukewarm to our place. The portion of the goulash could have been larger. Kaiserschmarrn as dessert, individual taste but not bad. Service seemed a bit overwhelmed (one service person for around 10 to 15 tables) Sanitary facilities dirty. Beer was delicious. Overall, we probably won't go there again.

We sat on the upper floor and had a great view over the Altmarkkreis and the roofs of the Frauenkirche and castle. Unfortunately it was drafty and cool. The food was consistently good to very good. The portions were usually large. If you're very hungry you should order a starter (except for the knuckle and half duck). The service was friendly and quick given the full restaurant. The prices are completely ok. Payment by credit card is possible. There is also an elevator in the local one. Due to the city center location, the parking situation is not good.
