Very nice restaurant with a wide selection of tasty food. The waiters are very nice and attentive. The location at the Altmarkt is also good, so you can stop off there after a stroll through the city.

We stopped in for dinner after visiting the Striezelmarkt. It's worth a visit just because of the beer. But the food was also excellent. However, because of the proximity to the Christmas market, you should make a reservation at least during the Christmas season. We were lucky and two spots had just become available when we arrived.

You should definitely reserve here in advance, otherwise you could be out of luck. The service was super nice, very fast and flexible. The food was good, the portions were sometimes too small for the price. All in all, you can definitely stop by here!!

Well, I have to say, it couldn't be tastier. Super menu card and the Saxon service says hello in a way you only know from Bavaria, an almost real keeper of over 6 centuries of Bavarian tradition in the middle of Dresden. However, I was served the driver's non-alcoholic beer, both were swapped, a reprimand was unavoidable, but since everything else was right, 5 stars overall and 7 stars for the food.

Far from home and yet eating (and drinking) so well. Nice restaurant with perfect service. The glass never gets empty and you are very attentive, but only on Monday. Unfortunately, the team on Tuesday wasn't up to it. They preferred to fool around with their buddies and the supplies weren't right at all. The coleslaw was totally over salted. No comparison to the first evening. Too bad.

After 75 minutes of waiting for the food, we politely asked how long the food would last. The answer from the shift leader: Either you wait or you can eat the crap from the snack bar. We then left and will definitely not be coming back. By the way, the food at the stalls at the Striezelmarkt was great.

Unfortunately, a longer stay is not recommended because it was so cold in the restaurant that even the service staff - who were supposed to be constantly on the move - wore a warm jacket. The beer (in my case a pilsner on tap) didn't taste like anything, but the food was very tasty, the portion size was sufficient and the service was relaxed and quick...

This is a pretty decent inn. It seems as if the Bavarians feel comfortable here in Saxony 😉

We stopped here spontaneously yesterday after discovering a vegan dish on the menu. Although we don't correspond to the restaurant's target group, we still had an interesting, good evening here. The vegan dish was really delicious. The menu also has a lot of vegetarian options to offer. (Even if we would like to have more vegan choices. :) ) The service was friendly and the lemonade (apricot-lemon) was also convincing. Eating Bavarian vegan food in Dresden - we wouldn't have thought it was possible, but you can do it!

We visited Dresden on a beautiful sunny autumn day. For lunch we spontaneously stopped here at Hacker-Pschorr with seven people. We received a very friendly welcome. We quickly went to a table upstairs. You had a good view of the large square. The decoration was rustic Bavarian and friendly. Ordered drinks first. The selection is great and everyone can quickly find what they are looking for. The drinks came quickly. And the food was taken. Special requests, no problem. We didn't wait long for the food either. Visually, the food looked very good and we were all very satisfied with the taste. Really great, big compliments to the kitchen. We were served very friendly and the rooms were very clean and tidy. Delicious food and beer at fair prices. It's a bit strange that you can only sit upstairs with a reservation, even if the shop there is completely empty. But then read about setting it up.

Zero service and you get bullied inside if you want to order. Nobody feels responsible, never again. We left. Service desert Germany. And not for the first time in Dresden.

Top location and very nice, courteous service, but unfortunately the atmosphere is not too cozy. The dishes are really great. There is also a whole page of options for vegetarians, and at least one dish for vegans (“The Potato One” – a large potato rosti). This was a little too crispy, but tasted great!

Bavarian cuisine and of course beer right on the Altmarkt in Dresden. There is a very good selection of starters, main courses and a few desserts. We had a table upstairs with a view of the square. The prices are a little higher, but totally ok for the quality and taste. The order took a while but the service was friendly and helpful.

Well located, but the prices are really steep. Obazda with three portions but only one pretzel was very inconvenient.

We had dinner with seven people. We ordered schnitzel, half farm duck, zander, pork knuckle and salad. Service was attentive and friendly at the beginning. As a starter we ordered the Rinderkraft broth, which unfortunately wasn't served hot. The taste was okay. But what really wasn't convincing at all were the main courses. The farmers duck was dry and lukewarm. The sauce is klumpick and not homemade. The pork knuckle was also only lukewarm and not seasoned. The children's schnitzel we ordered was then served as an adult schnitzel and of course we also had to pay the price. It was dry and tasteless. When we ordered, we also asked the waiter if we could change the vegetables for the zander for salad. Later on the bill the salad was booked separately at €6.90 each, which was not pointed out. According to our criticism, only one drink was offered. Unfortunately not recommended!

It took more than 15 minutes from the menu being handed out to the first order being taken - that's simply too long, but it was certainly just an exception. The later waiting times were then correct. The food tasted very good and was partly served in an original way.

We didn't eat, but there were many very large portions of Schäufele passing by. In our opinion, the prices are justified given the large portions. According to the gentlemen, beer was very good, and my wine was also well chosen by the waiter. The service is great, everyone is friendly and in a good mood and everyone is in traditional costume, which fits in well with the ambience. You can get pure Bavaria in the middle of Dresden - if that's what you want 😀

Food was super delicious! Service a disaster... So that the owner knows which service person... on October 10th, 2024 at 7 p.m. we asked about free space, there was only room to sit inside, we didn't want to disturb anyone, so we sat outside due to the mild weather. The service person was friendly and brought the cards straight away, so far so good. Another couple with us, who had apparently reserved a table inside, sat parallel to us. The couple inside were able to order drinks straight away, and around 7:20 p.m. we were finally asked about drinks, and the couple inside had already had drinks and the starter. Ordered food right away. After 5 minutes the drinks came, but incorrectly, but they brought new ones straight away and at the same time the starter, that was the last time for 40 minutes!! that we saw the waiter outside with us. The couple in the restaurant received the main course very quickly and we waited to see if anyone would come to ask for more drinks, ask if the starter was good or even pick it up, we only had a quick soup beforehand. There wasn't any stressful activity in the restaurant, you could just see how the service staff served the tables wonderfully inside, but not outside. With our appetizer received, other couples were also seated outside, who also didn't see the waiter once to order drinks or something, but they were placed there by the service staff. After 40 minutes, the couple understandably left and someone finally came to ask us. I kindly pointed out to the waitress that we had been waiting for a long time for further service. Inside we were served straight away and outside we didn't even ask about well-being or new drinks. In EVERY other restaurant there would certainly be an apology, be it because of stress or something else, but an apology after 40 minutes would have been appropriate. We were met with the following sentence: "Would you rather go in or should I cancel the meal?"...Seriously?? When we said that the soup was tasty but that we would be happy with more service, there was once again no apology, just excuses. There can be no difference between inside and outside... My comment about the fact that the other couple had already left without being able to order drinks after 40 minutes only received a shrug of the shoulders and further meaningless excuses. The man took the food and disappeared again. At the same time we could see how the couple who came at the same time as us but were sitting inside had already paid and as I said, the restaurant was not busy but normal. After another 15 minutes I asked what our main course was, the gentleman shrugged his shoulders and went to the kitchen to ask. My wife and I strangely got our food straight away, at 8:30pm! (Seated at 7 p.m., main course at 8:30 p.m....) we paid straight away and I again pointed out the lack of service. This didn't interest him much and he went back inside. The food definitely tasted good, but for both of us it was no longer hot or very warm, but had noticeably cooled down, i.e. it had been sitting for a while. I hope this review is read by the operator and taken to heart as far as the service staff is concerned. Very bad service, never an apology or anything, just making excuses and then seriously canceling the "offer" of food. That cannot be the aim of the service.

Dinner on the sidelines of the FLORIAN fire department trade fair with 2 colleagues. Service very easy to deal with; Happy to joke around and always very attentive. The food was good to very good for a Bavarian branch. Starter cheese soup very good; Fried chicken good. As expected, drinks were very sufficient and always with a relaxed saying at the table. Overall, the service was good to excellent and overall we enjoyed our evening. Recommendation; appropriate for the occasion.

Good location - service and food not recommended - visited the inn with a registered group - waiting time for drinks 45 minutes - almost 90 minutes for food 🙈 unfortunately the entire team was very disorganized - when paying, the nice gentleman just told us that Yes, it's a bad thing to have to charge individuals in a group - unfortunately I can't recommend my dish "little king" - potato salad looks like a ready meal and the breaded chicken is very dry - I didn't order a second drink because of the waiting time...

Tisch reserviert, aber einen völlig deplazierten Tisch bekommen, haben uns umgesetzt ans Fenster, wo auch ein Tisch frei war. Warum bekommt man einen hässlichen Tisch angeboten obwohl der Nachbartisch das war was man wollte? Getränke und Essen bestellt, das erste Getränk kam schnell und dann fing das Drama an, dass man einfach nur wartetete und wartete. Andere am Nachbartisch, welche nach uns bestellt haben, hatten Ihr Essen schon aufgegessen und wir haben immer noch gewartet und gewartet. Letztendlich fragte der nette Kellner, ob wir schon gegessen haben, wir mussten verneinen und man sah uns glaube auch schon den Hunger und Ungeduld an. Er bemühte sich um eine schnelle Lieferung, was letztendlich 1 1/2 Std. gedauert hat. Nachbestellte Getränke haben ewig gedauert bis zu 20 min, aber auch nur wenn man nachfragte. Das Essen war lecker ud heiss, hat aber das lange warten nicht entschädigt. Das Eis (gesalzener Karamell) war schlechthin ein Reinfall. Leute lasst die Finger davon, da ist Kukuma drin. So einen schlechten Eisbecker für fast 9 € habe ich noch nie gegessen. Für das deutlich verspätetete Essen bekamen wir als Entschädigung einen Schnaps (für den Beifahrer) und für den Fahrer einen Espresso. Das war auch sehr notwendig! Das Erlebnis war enttäuschend, wenn das Konzept so von "Hacker Pschorr"akzeptiert wrid, bezweifle ich. So wird die Gaststätte wohl nicht mehr lange existieren.

We were here today, 9/28/24. The welcome champagne we ordered took quite a long time to arrive. The main course was only lukewarm despite the warm plate. The taste wasn't bad, but Allgäuer Spätzle had better ones. In order to get empty glasses off the table, we simply placed them on the empty table next to us. I know it's a beer bar, but taking empty glasses when full ones come is part of it, just as a side note. Otherwise, the cellar beer was good and the service was friendly.

Excellent Bavarian cuisine without the classic exaggeration of sauces and gravies...few dishes well made and well presented. Classic German beers (hell, keller, dunkel..) but of high quality. It must have opened recently because it isn't on TripAdvisor and the service occasionally showed signs of disorganisation …but they are all young guys and in any case very kind. Marked among my favourites

Today I finally had time to visit the Hacker-Pschorr in Dresden Altmarkt again. That was a bad idea. The place is empty and the staff doesn't care! You don't need that.

The concept and personnel management still need to be refined, no matter how difficult the personnel situation is. The route diagrams of the server staff resemble a chicken farm - ineffective and the nature between guest and staff is very old or very new - I don't know, I don't like it, so it doesn't matter where it comes from. Serve the brawn in a 250 gr jar with a lid, without a spoon, with a knife and fork in the jar - tip for management: try it yourself... The main goal of resting, recuperating and getting full was achieved. If you like average...

We were there twice on the weekend of August 29th. There until September 1st, 2024 and had a very tasty meal there. Price performance was right there. The location is also great. Simply recommended!

We were very happy with the service. Came in a group and called shortly beforehand. Mr. Stenzel did everything to give us a nice evening. The food was very tasty and the Munich Hell is very tasty. You have a beautiful view of the old town over the Altmarkt. We'd love to come back.

So if you really value good food you should steer clear of these mainstream tourist restaurants...Neither a highlight nor a highlight in terms of taste. Unrequired staff and a technically incompetent restaurant manager rounded the whole thing off. If you want to eat well, you will certainly find better addresses where class rather than quantity dominates everyday events.

The food is very tasty and the portions are large, but the service is disgusting. On the first evening we got to the waitress, and the second to the waiter, we thought it would be better, but no ((((. Unfortunately it has diminished significantly. The taste is either very bland or totally over-seasoned. It used to be really good but unfortunately the quality is no longer the same. We ate the mountain cheese soup, which was supposed to be creamy and was rather crumbly. Goulash as the main course was oversalted and even bitter with the garnish. The dumplings didn't taste like anything. The snack plate was quite lightly stocked with a pretzel and after waiting 20 minutes, we unfortunately didn't want to order it again. The waiter had apologized but was still stupid. It used to be better.

Beef steak was completely cooked through instead of medium rare. Service was unfriendly. We wanted to pay in cash, but were asked to pay with notes under €50 as they couldn't change.

Service terrible! There were five of us and we wanted to leave a lot of money in the restaurant. Unfortunately we didn't succeed. After we asked if there was a table available for five! We were told it was bad for food and drink at the moment. We were told to be patient for a moment and came to a bar table. Here we ordered 5 0.5 l Helle and five plums, 4 cl. After a good 30 minutes, one of our ladies was so ravenous and wanted a pretzel with the beer. So she ordered one. It didn't come and we reordered a whopping three times. There still wasn't a pretzel because there wasn't a free table yet, so one of our friends went to a table and asked if we could sit there, which they immediately approved with a year. After another 20 minutes we ordered our food. Three times knuckle, once goulash and once ribs. Another 35 minutes later the food still wasn't there. We complained and I ordered another beer, which didn't last until the end. After various complaints, the food finally arrived. We didn't really want it because it came much too late. Then the waiter asked us how we wanted the bill for what we had drunk and eaten. That was a bit suspicious for us. After we were honest and duly checked in with our drinks and food we paid but we will never go to this place again. I'm sorry or we're sorry for the great waiters we met last year.

This is actually a good restaurant. I've been there several times and always satisfied. But today I ordered Obatzda twice (for my wife and me). The waiter asked me if I would like a pretzel or bread for both of us to eat. According to the menu there was a pretzel for the Obatzda. I chose bread. On the bill there was an additional 1 euro for each slice of bread. The pretzel costs 1.50 euros. But I didn't receive this for either meal and I wasn't informed that each slice of bread costs an additional 1 euro and I didn't get a pretzel for it. I would have paid 3 euros for a slice of bread if I had been informed of this beforehand. But I wonder, is this a “rip-off!!!” or “Stupid man!!!”? In this way you can earn additional money without much effort. Does Hacker Pschorr really need this? I don't believe. But this will only annoy your guests. So far I have always been very satisfied with Hacker Pschorr. But today I am very disappointed. For me it's not about the 2 euros additional costs, but about the poor communication and the lack of insight on the part of the waiter.

A Bavarian restaurant in Saxony? Well, I was very hungry, it was getting late and there was room. That's why I got carried away, even though I much prefer Hax'n and Bavarian beer in Munich. The location is perfect, with a view of the old market. One star for that. Everything was clean and tidy (including the toilets). And there is the next star. I really liked the card. The focus is on original Bavarian dishes, and the drinks are also well chosen. We already have the third star. My knuckle was a bit dry, but that was probably due to the late hour. The skin was unusual but crispy. Overall, the food was good and the price of €20 was reasonable. Star number 4. The service was quick and attentive. And we actually have star number 5 for the top rating. But unfortunately I have to delete the 5th star again. The reason is a male service person with such an impertinent demeanor, which really spoiled my actually nice stay. Omnipresent throughout the outdoor area, heard at every table. The young, female guests at the next table were made clear offers and were even given their private cell phone numbers. The girls were pretty disturbed and said as they left: “Now we can never go back here again” 🙁 After they left, people bragged about their supposed conquests at at least two tables. And as described above, everyone could hear that too. Dear N. from H., basically you are doing your job quite well, but with this behavior you are ruining a lot of what you have achieved through your hard work and attention to the guest. Work on your discretion and leave your personal “needs” out of your job. No woman wants to be hit on in such an intrusive manner by the waiter in a restaurant. This is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. So it stays with 4 stars. All in all, it's a good place to stop off and I can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience.

Update July 19, 2024 Was here again today and was really disappointed🫤 The food has deteriorated enormously - the service seems completely overwhelmed and mixes up orders - the starter came twice at the neighboring table instead of the main course - this then took another 40 minutes... of course the beer garden was full, but something like that shouldn't happen. While the food was being brought to me, the waiter was already taking the next order. Friendliness really wasn't there today🫣 We'll still come back and get another picture of the history. All good things come in 3😇 IMPRESSIVE.... So completely convinced and everyone's expectations - EXCEEDED.... Staff friendly to children too Food, absolutely amazing (greetings and thanks again to the kitchen team) Ambiance is really nice... Bavarian cosiness in the middle of Dresden. We'll be back🍺🍻🍺
