I enjoyed both the food and the design of the restaurant. They offer delicious shawarma and falafel at a reasonable price. The location is also very convenient, just a five-minute walk from Zülpicher Platz station.

Hey Habibi, you managed to get me to write my very first review. And I don't like doing that. I'm self-employed and find it really difficult when you're publicly pilloried. I had a bad review myself a while ago. But I used this to think about my performance and optimize it. I hope that my comment encourages you, because we would like to come back and eat delicious food with you like we have done in recent years. I don't even want to comment on the atmosphere or the customers, because you either like it or you don't. But the hygienic conditions cannot actually be put into words. And I'm not picky. I thought about posting the photos I took here, but that would just be too much. Some of the vegetables in the counter are superimposed, mushy and black moldy. We lived in the Middle East for a long time. What kind of hummus was that?? Stretched with yogurt and other indefinable things. The falafel were totally dry and tasted really bad. And the meat crumbly and burnt. The vegetables we didn't eat were dripping with oil, yes they are fried vegetables, but the slices were so thin of vegetables that the oil just ran down. The bread basket was dirty and therefore the last slice was completely soggy. Unfortunately we already have stomach problems and Abu Ishal sends his regards tonight. We will definitely try it again, but my recommendation is: just take a good look at the vegetables before you order. Sorry Habibi, but please do better.

In the evening we went to a shawarma in the village, cheap and really tasty, certainly the best in terms of price and performance, but the real highlight was the following morning when we were looking for an Arabic breakfast. When we arrived in the village there was fresh juice As much flatbread as we wanted and large full plates with hummus, vegetables, fatu, etc. Absolutely brilliant and now a must visit when I'm in Cologne again Thanks Wasseb for the great service!!

Very tasty Lebanese food, super freshly prepared. Most of the food here is take-away, but there are also a few tables if you want to eat on site. It's always full, but it goes very quickly. There is only self-service. You can also order large plates for several people here and they will then be delivered to your home. Great price performance!

Delicious food, fast service and interesting interior design. We tried shawarma in bread and falafel in bread. Both tasted super delicious. A portion only costs €3.50, but it's not too big - I'd say it's a good snack for in between meals. Everything has to go quickly when ordering, as the guests are processed quickly due to the high number of walk-in customers. But the order is prepared very quickly.

We visited this place after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor and it lived up to the reviews. Good food and taste. Value for money and the portions are generous. 3 meals should be enough for family of 4 with kids. Would come here again. One minute issue is the meat was a little high in salt for my liking.

Before you carelessly rate someone with a low number of stars, you obviously have to look at the big picture. It is a simple, Arabic snack bar that is obviously no longer run by the previous operator and is located on a busy street with a strong student population. The prices are correspondingly low and the portions are relatively large. In my opinion, this is where the many 4 and 5 star reviews come from. Nevertheless, I have to rate the food fairly and unfortunately state that I didn't like it. It wasn't really bad, just tasteless. I had a falafel plate, which was filling but didn't make me happy. Where was the sesame sauce, where were the spices, the yogurt dip made with mint, etc.? The hummus was supposed to take over this part, at least that's what its consistency suggested. Loveless bits of tomato and cucumber were added to something mixed with parsley and couscous. Sorry, that could be much better and therefore only 2 stars. Please put 50 cents into a little more sophistication and I'm happy to pay 2 euros more for the falafel plate.

My favorite restaurant in Cologne. The ambience is great. The only thing I miss is the free drink (sweet tea), which used to always come with every meal. I also like the freshly squeezed orange juice, but unfortunately I find the price of €3 too high. However, quality obviously comes at a cost. 😉

The atmosphere is definitely different. The walls and ceiling are covered with posters. I don't think it's a clean place. The menu is similar. It's a bit pleasing to the palate, but it didn't appeal to me much. A doner kebab costs approximately 5-7 euros, wraps here cost 5 euros, and dinner plates range between 7-10 euros.

Very tasty food at very reasonable prices. Portion sizes are big and offer lots of variety. Some things were under seasoned and needed salt, which I wish I knew that salt shakers were right under the silverware. I do wish there was some more variety of drinks like tea etc, but still a great experience in a cool setting.

Excellent Middle-East lunch spot in Cologne that I visited one day. Plenty of choice to select from and you are sure to find something to your taste, but I highly recommend the Nomad Dish, which is basically a mixture of everything. Freshly prepared for you in time, and staff are excellent. Having traveled to Lebanon and Jordan, and grown to love their food, this place is one of the closest I have ever got to topping what I ate on that visit, as its really good, and the prices are excellent. Highly recommend.

The best place to eat shawarma etc.! The decor is really great and it's very cozy, especially in summer :) you'll definitely get full and the prices are very, very fair, one of my favorite restaurants in Cologne! 💌

Overall not bad. The ambience is good, with music and lots of cult movie posters on the walls and ceiling. It is well attended, especially by young people. We liked the food, but compared to other oriental fast food restaurants it was a little too bland.

Long live the artist's hands....Abu Ali Restaurant.....an authentic Iraqi restaurant...I imagine myself sitting in one of the nice restaurants in the Levant...you have the most beautiful and wonderful...good luck, Lord

Always been my favorite in Cologne. Previously far superior in terms of price and friendliness. Hayati (Südstadt) and Anya (Christophstrasse), for example, now have the same status. Habibi is now just a standard and has lost its unique selling point. So there are no longer any advantages over the competition. In the past, you always paid whenever you wanted. Unfortunately, today the trust is no longer there and you pay directly when/after ordering. Compared to some restaurants in Berlin, nothing special anymore. Nevertheless, the quality of the food is still impressive. Therefore always a recommendation. However, I hope that the business doesn't continue to change towards system catering, because that's how it sometimes seems to me.

Delicious and easy. Friendly staff who like to entertain their guests and even joke around. A good stop to satisfy your hunger.

I had a plate of shawarma with hummus and salad. Hummus and salad were naturally cold and it felt like a cold meal. I learned I would have preferred a warm one. Next time. The walls and roof are covered with movie posters, making them a pleasant sight, useful especially if dine alone.
